The staff are very disrespectful to me at this Cube Smart. One of them is not working at this storage facility now. The next issue I have is another staff member is asking me for his check or money and wants me to give him my personal belongings. Also, he is billing me for a unit I don't own. Where to begin. My gf and I have been looking for storage units and were at our wits end before we came across Cubesmart and met Dynasty (and her colleague Asia!!!) who met us with such kindness and grace. Dynasty at no point was trying to sell us on anything or sugarcoat fees or costs. This is the type of place where we felt at home. Bait and Switch. After acquiring the facility that I had been in Cube Smart immediately increased the rent 25%. They continued to do so every quarter. Do not rent from the Red Hook location. I rented a unit that my would fit my items, but because of the small hallways and low ceiling in this location, I could not get my items into the unit. It is wild. I was told to buy a lock ($20) which they opened for me before seeing the unit, which I never even used, and was charged an administration fee even though it was not my fault. Go somewhere else.

Typically a nice location and staff but today's experience really ticked me off after I got a “call the company and complain to them” response. I’ve been using my unit for over 3yrs now and this location constantly raises the monthly rate and lessens the amenities that initially made this location preferable. Say Goodbye to yet another loyal customer! I for sure won’t be paying rent next month

This cubesmart is great, like who knew it was possible to be obsessed with a storage facility? Not me, but Fernando and Jovana made everything so seamless and were so helpful. Moving is one of the most stressful things a person can go through, and I feel lucky that the employees here went above and beyond to mitigate stress and be generally supportive. The facility is clean, safe, and easily accessible. Sometimes one can get a little freaked out in these large empty spaces, but not here. Sure, the access hours aren’t into the late night, but it makes me feel better knowing they don’t allow people in the building without employees present. Much safer.

Staff were extremely friendly. Fernando was so pleasant and eager to help us. He showed us how to get to our storage unit, as well as explaining all the entrances and shortcuts incase it was busy. Building is clean and was newly renovated within the past 6 months. Parking lot is large and building as a whole is easily accessible.

Nah man they baited and switched prices on me twice and I didn't notice! This is an edit from a cubesmart response. I know what it States in my contract about rates not being lifetime and subject to change. However twice in one year without giving notice is just bad business ethics. It's still my opinion that this company uses bait and switch tactics because they know it's inconvenient to move all your stuff once you've moved in. That being said, I'm spending triple this month to move out of the facility and I to a more reputable and upfront company that won't bait and switch, Have a nice Cube

Terrible business practice! Treasure Island will charge your credit card whatever they want, with no written notice. I have rented a space in this storage for the price of $19.99. That's what it says on my contract. Four months later, they started charging my credit card 50% more. When I called, they said that there was a three month sale price and that ended. However, the contract that I signed says nothing about any sale price. There is a clause in the contract that the storage can change the terms, but this has to be communicated in writing. Moreover, their website still has the same sized units for $19.99 and DOES NOT MENTION THAT THIS PRICE WILL CHANGE IN FOUR MONTHS. How is this legal?

Truly terrible. Crumbling facility with animal and insect infestation. Multiple items destroyed during tenure at this facilities because of flooding caused by burst pipes and sewage overflow as well as insect infestation. Insects will devour natural materials like wool and silk no matter what you do. Poor sanitation. Horrible, rude management. Other chronic problems include broken gates and doors that compromise security, gates and doors often left open throughout the day, severe and repeated flooding, sewage/septic overflow into units, faulty sprinklers that flood units, bi-annual price increases on already inflated prices, lack of proper sanitation, facilities management virtually non-existent, climate control is equivalent to a few big fans in the summer, rust and corrosion issues, bent doors, penchant for locking you out of unit despite payment-in-full, among many other issues. There is no reason to pay such high prices for such a dire storage situation. If you are running a business or storing valuable items, you run a great risk of damage to your operation and inventory. Their "insurance coverage" is a total scam as well. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Like so many other reviewers I ended up moving during the pandemic and having a convenient storage unit was a lifesaver. The staff was always professional and friendly, the facilities were clean, the prices are fair. Getting around the storage unit was easy; they had a good loading area and dollies / handcarts available. Hours are a little limited so make sure to check that ahead of time. Moving out was easy too; I just submitted my move-out notice online. Thank you TI for being there when I needed it!

I was surprised that the most inexpensive locker was actually way bigger than I initially envisioned, the price policy seems transparent, its a clean and organized place and you are always able to catch a representative on the phone. I just wished there would be more flexibility in opening/transfering/canceling the account especially if opened for another person and that this all would work out without actual physical presence and rather digital or remote presence especially right now during covid.

Treasure Island Storage in Red Hook came to my rescue! I was in need of a storage unit as well as the use of a truck and driver. I found a storage company that quickly took my money and the day before I was scheduled to move they informed they did not have a truck and driver available after all. I cancelled them and got my money back. I then quickly searched three more places before I found Treasure Island. Not only was the Treasure Island Storage staff professional and courteous, they had the perfect size unit available and at an affordable price as well as the use of an oversized van for 4 hours! It was perfect! I made the move without rushing and was pleased to find that after I stored my furniture in the unit there was still some space left for more storage. I highly recommend them and would use them again. I am a very pleased customer.

EVERY single person i contacted in person or on the phone was pleasant and helpful....from choosing a unit to loading for weeks moving out for days, they kept me going. The prices were good and even better with special discounts. The facility and bathroom were clean and well lit. The offered to move my stuff to a smaller unit to save money. You can use their truck to move your stuff. AND IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE.

I went to TI thinking I knew what I wanted, but upon viewing the options in person, it quickly became clear that there were practical concerns I hadn't taken into consideration. The staff showed me several units, and they and the manager worked with me to find one that made the most sense for my needs. I highly recommend Treasure Island. I stored here for two months while in transition, and I had a great experience. Move-in, move-out, and transfers were painless. The staff is incredible. Everyone there is very helpful and nice. Plus, it's convenient to get there with the F-line and a citibike stations nearby.

The front line impressions are set at store level and their helpfullness, Courtesy, Respect and professionalism are on display for all tenants to see.... Thank you.... What a great experience. manager was well prepared, courteous, and extremely organized. The unit was ready for us and very clean. I highly recommend this location. I have been using this location for a few years now, and I have been so happy. The staff is always helpful and makes sure all my packages are put aside even when I'm not there. The inside is always kept clean. There is no better place to use for storage in this area.

This place is by far the best at what they do. The guys in the office are not only pro's at what they do but have a sincere interest in their customers. They will do what the can to help you out. Sone places may be a bit cheaper by a nickel but these guys help you sleep better at night. I won't go anywhere else!

My dealing with this storage facility has been amazing. The customer service has been superb. I'm actually treated like a real person when dealing with them. They made it easy for me to transition from my condo in the financial district to my new home in Queens. Anything that I needed from them they were there for me every step of the way. This was my first time deal with a storage company. The customer service was excellent. I was running late, I called TI storage to told the gentleman that answered the phone that I was running late. He asked "How far are? " I told him about 10 minutes. Then he said "Ok, no problem I will for you." Not only did he wait for my friend and I he also helped us with the heavy lifting. He did not reach us out. He take his time explaining everything. All in all it was a great experience.

My experience with Treasure Island is beyond any expectation, the staff is very professional and courteous not just to new tenant but to existing customers. I was doing renovation to my Brooklyn Apartment and I needed somewhere to place my items temporarily so I Google storage company near me and found Treasure Island Storage in Redhook. I visit the facility to view the storage units, the price was within my budget with a promotion of three month 50% off. The company also offered a truck and driver for two hours so I was very happy with that service. Treasure Island Storage made my move so easy and stress-free. I would happily recommended this particular storage company to anyone looking for both short or long term storage.

Had a GREAT experience with this Treasure Island Storage location right after a terrible experience with a former landlord in the area. Had to get my stuff out ASAP and was honestly so fortunate to be met with a helpful staff and reasonable prices. Not going to have to look further for my next storage option when I move, unless it is another Treasure Island location.

I've had an art studio at TI Art Studios located on the third floor of Treasure Island Storage for 5 years. By far the nicest studios around. The staff takes everything into consideration whether it be making a room for spray paint specific artwork, to creating a place for people to photograph their work. They have the artist in mind.

This has been a hard way to describe this experience. In the beginning everything seemed to be running smoothly. I thought the staff was nice and helpful and then there were certain interactions with the assistant manager Rosa, from moving in she argued with my father about an unopened lock I purchased and wanted to return 5 minutes later( literally 5 minutes )because I found the one I brought and she didn't want to allow us to return it. Then recently I found that I was charged for this month although I moved out 2 weeks ago and gave 10 days written notice as the contract asked for and so I called just to get it all sorted it out and the first woman I talked to was very nice and told me she would call me back but 4 hours had passed and so I called and Rosaline Boodhoo the assistant manager answered and was rude and nasty and so i proceeded to tell her that I wasn't sure of what I should do because I was told I was going to be called right back she replied with an attitude well it will be reversed tomorrow( which is today) and as it stands nothing has been reversed. I wish that I could say that I had a great experience but it was overwhelmed my the horrible interactions I have had with not only a member of the staff but a someone on the management team. I work in customer service and I know it can be a hard job and so I always try to be a nice and polite as possible so for her to have the attitude and nasty tone that she had for no reason at all I wouldn't recommend staying here when someone like her still works there. I assume she hates her job because she takes it out on the customers. I know my experience isn't over yet because I still have to talk to someone about reversing the unauthorized charge.

I find the personal attention and service they give to customers beyond others. Francis, and his staff, are professionals. The main office is large and clean, and their large bathroom (which shows how they focus on details as well) is bright, clean, and always maintained. [My family is in the courtesy business, and these details are what must be maintained to be the best.]

WARNING RAT INFESTATION!!! My storage bin was rampaged, RATS, urinated, chewed, and defecated all over my property. Over $1000 worth of damages. The staffs response " sorry not our problem if you don't have insurance ". This was the worst experience ever. You trust your personal belonging to these people and never imagine you'll discover this disgusting mess. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra cash and store your stuff elsewhere.
