I had an appointment and reservation set to open up a new storage space, loaded all of my things that needed desperately to be stored into a Lyft ride and when I arrived, I was appalled to discover that the front desk was unceremoniously closed. Someone had printed out an unofficial notice and taped it to the entrances to the office, saying it was unfortunately closed. There was a man there who came to the door only to inform me that they are closed and he was only maintenance. I had to call another lyft and take everything back to the spa I work at that had kept all of my things and my work is charging me $20 a day just to hang onto my stuff. I called their main office to complain about this bizarre circumstance and they said the manager would get back to me. He/she never did. Completely irresponsible and negligent. I cannot trust this company at all.

The front desk is a lack of manners and disrespectful. The woman behaves as if she is a deity. There are $12/$17 insurance, but she never asked, she literally just charged $17. The first impression of the storage facility is that the level of customer service is exceptionally low. (Note:I moved in on Oct. 27). I never had chance to see the unit. The size of the unit is certainly smaller than what I had expected, and there is no light could reach inside the unit whatsoever; it is completely dark. However, the facility is clean and the cart is easy to reach. I truly hope that they are able to improve their customer service.

I waited until I moved out to leave this review because the white manager there is good for charging my account for any little thing after storing with this store for almost two years and management changed I knew that it was my time to leave I tried referring a friend and when I took him here the lady that bragged and emphasized that she is the senior manager of this store told us that we must wait for one of her colleagues to finish showing another customer I did not understand why when the colleague came down she looked annoyed as if this is something that happens often when I need assistance with code or anything at all she tells me to wait and have one of her store managers assist me I wait about 20 minutes everytime because she does not help customers when I moved out I had to wait as well this store needs better management especially a new senior manager since this one is very lazy and does not like to work not to mention she is never available and she is always running about and doing nothing with her tenants when she should be in the office working I give praise to the 2 young ladies there that run around like headless chickens to make sure their customers are being assisted

Just like all storage facilities, this location had its issues and when I expressed my concerns I felt like the staff didn’t care but that has completely changed with the new general manager, Kendall. My items got covered in rodent fecal matter and urine. Apparently this is an issue in this storage facility. I don’t keep food or perishables in my locker. If you’re getting storage on the 2nd floor don’t do it, it’s apparently worse than the other floors. I wasn’t offered anything by CubeSmart what happened, even though I decided to move to a larger unit after this incident. They really need to figure this out. If you are storing items there make sure that you put your items in totes and that they are protected as possible

Edit: When I called at 6:25 somebody picked up, I got clear answers, and I also appreciate the reply on here. Perhaps it was an off-day. I’ll raise my review from 2 up to 4. Signing up was easy and the site was clean, but trying to call ANYONE is impossible. The robot first brags about a customer service award and then when I select 3 (change my reservation for a national rep) OR press 4 (to talk to my local location manager) it plays a little music to pretend to try to connect, and then the robot lies that staff must be assisting in/person customers. No matter what time of day. I called 3x at 10am and 3 more after 3pm before 4pm. I left a message that was never returned. Changing sizes is not likely for me after this headache, so I guess I’ll have to go over there to see the rep that’s probably not actually busy and withdraw my business in person.

Online reservation was easy to complete. I arrived on move in date and the Management office explained pricing and gave me a tour of unit. The first unit I was showed had a supporting beam so I requested a different unit and was taken to one on same floor. I was pleased with size of unit and the agents were able to set me up to move in that day. I was offered a 25% discounted rate for the first 6 months. After 6 months i hope CubeSmart only raises my monthly rate to standard rate.

The hardest part of our experience was remembering the access code and learning the layout of the building! The staff, Blake and Eric, explained everything simply and completely. They were very patient and went out of their way to make our experience great. Unexpectedly we had to upgrade at the last minute and both of them worked on our issues. They even gave us a temporary code when ours failed! During our move we broke a vase and lamp. We felt terrible because the place is spotless. When we informed Blake he said, ". . . no problem! We'll take care of it!" I wish every experience (personal and business) was as pleasant as ours with CubeSmart!

Staff was great to work with. facilities are clean. Main reason for the 4/5 stars is because of the crazy fees: $25 admin fee (one time) and a $12 insurance fee (monthly) added to your rental. Unless you have you own insurance than you won't have to pay it. Otherwise, it was a good experience. They showed me several units and allowed me to choose the one I liked best.

Front desk associate was under the influence of drugs. TERRIBLE. I've been reading the reviews and they are so good compared to my experience. If I can give this place NO STARS I would. Was at this location for a year to store my personal belongings from a recent divorce. After 6mon my rent went up 15% for no reason. Covid hit and I didn’t go to my storage for a while. Recently I just went back and noticed I was missing a lot of my personal belongings... about $34k worth. When I questioned the MGR they just said ok call 911, they take too long. No concern or emotion or sympathy for my loss. Police showed up and said this is the 3rd time they come to that location for missing items. They believe it’s an inside job. I am currently dealing with their insurance agent and from what I’m being told they will cover up to $2k.

The facilities at CubeSmart Self Storage are clean and well kept. The staff is polite, helpful and professional. This location is next to a Home Depot with a large parking lot which is crazy busy. Go early - when they open or and hour and thirty minutes before closing to avoid the traffic in the Home Depot lot. The GPS will take you through the parking lot of Home Depot to get to this CubeSmart location. Or you can just stop by Home Depot and shop too

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The whole storage area is in a climate controlled atmosphere. They had dollies that you could borrow at no additional cost. The entrance to the elevators to the storage area can only be access with a security code. Everyone has their own unique code. The place was pretty clean and well lit. You felt safe being by yourself in the storage area.

Would give 4.5 stars if possible. Setting up the storage lease was smooth; the facility is comfortable, feels safe, and is clean. The storage units are great. I wish it was opened a bit later beyond 645p and that the process of obtaining a platform truck didn't require leaving your driver's license but understand it makes it easier for CubeSmart. I would definitely recommend to a friend or associate.

I went today , 9/24, and waited on line. When it was my turn, J. Wang, showed me the unit. Then he started the paperwork. Then, all of a sudden he said he made a mistake and gave me the wrong unit and will change it. I said, it is fine. Instead of helping me and finish my paperwork, HE STARTED TO HELP THE NEXT ONE IN LINE, then asked someone to help me. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY TURN AGAIN. Then, when I saw the other unit, he was helping the 3rd person in line behind me before instead of taking care of me! I told him we were first and rushing because my sister is leaving for New Zealand and my brother to London in few hours, plus my niece, with her 2 small kids were waiting in the car, plus my elderly mother were waiting! Then, he was on the phone helping the 3rd person in line. My sister came down from the car and started to complain and he finally told the person in line that we were there first!!!! AND MY SISTER TOLD ME, JUST GO AND DON't GO HERE ANYMORE! VERY VERY BAD SERVICE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! It is now 4/10/18. I would like to add additional information. The other manager, i forgot the name, called me right away after I left that review in September and gave me, a month free, and he left me message apologizing for the situation. I also don’t need the storage now, so my account is cancelled and they gave me immediate refund for the month that I did not use. I like the way it is easy for them to handle complaints like this. "Free month" is a lie. You're forced to pay an "administrative fee" of 37 dollars. Then the rental rate goes north after 6 months. The lockers are also not 100 percent secure. The top of the locker is "secured" with chicken wire-like ,very thin fencing. I was shocked but it already was too late. Luckily for me I'm not storing jewelry or anything valuable.

Great experience! THe gentleman was so helpful and friendly. As my wife and I arrived literallly as the shutters were going down to close up shop. The gentleman (whom I forgot his name. Sorry!) was welcoming friendly and took his time to help us open up a new unit. He not only went back and forth from the car to the unit (7th floor ugh) but took the time to explain the ins and outs. Mind you, it was way past the time that this location closes which is 6:45pm. Good job!

This location is fantastic. Highlight is the crew: A staff member efficiently walked me through all points (unit location, access method, terms, fees, etc.) with SUPERB attitude. He even showed me unit position options and was patient while I decided on one, thank you! The entire process took about 10-15 min and I was all set to move my stuff in. Then the cleanliness/security: CubeSmart facilities are CLEAN. All climate controlled and insurance covers losses caused by pretty much all natural disasters imaginable (they even have sonic boom on the list.) You need a code to get into the building, a code to get on your floor, and you bring your own lock for the unit so it's VERY SECURE. I feel comfortable leaving my belongings there.

Already when i went in the first day, I just felt the whole place was so quiet in the front area, people came in like they won't approach the front desk. "This is Self service"(don't expect we going to help you). After this bad bad experience, the manager, probably not the ones the other encountered, in a motionless tone telling "your feeling is not representing the others." Then i spoke to the general manager who happened to be there and he talked remain neutral.

Very bad experience. Rude staff (understaffed too ) and long wait (more than 40 minutes for a check in after online registration days before stopping by). The facility is a new one but had to press security code multiple times to get in. Not recommended!

The staff was friendly and nice. The only thing I am disappointed with is the hours of operation. 6:45 is too early to close a storage facility. I believe this hurts the business. Once one has a code for storage, they should stay open later or allow customers to be able to come in a bit later

I was well received. Any question I had was answered. I greatly appreciated the patience that the representative had. Nothing was left unclear and made simple from where to access the elevators to how to get to my storage space.

Booked via the website and a confirmation call. When we arrived and looked at the unit (a 5x5x4 small unit) it turned out to be 9ft in the air above a full sized unit! Access was via a ladder and it wasn't going to work at all for our needs. I was very disappointed at the time as we were told of the unusual location when booking and wouldn't have taken the unit if we'd known. However our rep, Eternia went the extra mile to find us a similar sized unit but at chest height, so we could easilly load and unload out items. She even gave it to us at the original price! All the staff I talked to onsite were very friendly and helpfull. The building has great security and is very clean and tidy as you would expect, but what stood out was the amazing customer service to resolve a problem. Youy only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong and I can't recommend this one enough, first class! If you're going at the weekend, get there early as it is very busy at those times!

I visited cube smart for the very first time on Saturday. The young lady who assisted me, Eternia was so helpful and professional. The storage service is pricey so I left and considered shopping around but because of Eternia's exceptional service to me, I immediately returned and rented a space. I must add that the facility was clean and appears to be well maintained. As my mother would say you pay for what you get?

Nice location very easy to move in and out. Customer service is excellent. Good price and the space are nicely sectioned off. Temperature controlled room is a plus. If you need the extra storage space this is a great place to put your stuff and it is very safe.

I had a very satisfying experience with this storage facility. I can confirm what other reviewers are writing: this location is very clean. Ventilation and air conditioning work as they suppose to. There is a lot of convenient parking space around the facility. The stuff is knowledgable, efficient and friendly. Separately want to mention Eternia Holloway who was most helpful.

Excellent experience thru and thru, I first called from the internet advertising for set up- Sophie (location person) was thorough, fast and professional, just the way I like it because I am a very busy person. In the past I have leased space at both Public Storage as well as The Lock-Up and in general felt they were satisfactory. Having now leased space at CubeSmart I now know there is a superior brand. The Flushing facility is first class! In particular I really appreciated the bright lighting and the carpeted corridors. I also want to give a shout-out to Nelida Ruiz, the General Manager, who was both very courtesy and extremely helpful. Well done!

I've been a frequent customer of CubeSmart for nearly four years now and there's a reason I keep coming back for their service. The employees are respectable, accommodating and incredibly friendly. Their rates are more than fair and they especially keep a good look out for college students who may or may not be from the the area and are constantly traveling. I highly recommend CubeSmart to any individual, especially college student, looking for a safe and secure place to store their belongings.

Very clean, affordable and secure storage with easy parking and friendly staff. Only issue was being asked to select a protection plan for the unit over the phone when I reserved and not being told I could utilize my homeowner's insurance instead. However on site I was offered this information; able to opt out for future months, but had to pay the first month's insurance as I did not bring in my policy. Still highly recommend this location.

I'm not sure how to begin, because I never write any review, but my 5/6/16 Sat AM. at this location make it my 1st review. Opening up an account here was a WOW! The Staff were great! Sophie - very professional to show us the options. Kevin - helpful in explaining opening an account. Eternia - Helpful in making sure you time is well spent. I highly recommend it.

People are very nice there, they would show you all the storages available, and in case if you forget your code they can get it for you. The place is very nice and very clean, carpets are brand new. Inside there are fans so i think there is definitely good air ventilation, also during the day time we saw the cleaner guy with his cart. Would definitely reccomend this place to my friends if they will ask me about my storage experience
