Avoid!!! The staff are helpful. But make no mistake, this is a predatory operation. My costs went from $112/mo to 290/mo in 5 years. My locker was covered in rodent feces top to bottom. My persian rugs, family heirlooms, were chewed and ruined, as were my mattresses. Someone had tried to break my lock. And For 7 years I paid $12/mo for “insurance”. Took tons of photos. Their insurance is a total joke… it EXCLUDES rodent damage. Forget the brochure its a lie… Do not get it its worthless!

I just traveled 45 miles to get here in the rain, I'm here once in a blue, guess what... The gates don't open when it's raining ??, why, they say it's a hazard, so I guess going up a steep ramp and stairs is not hazardous in the rain either, I pay for my space, I pay for access, I demand and expect to get what I paid for, the 2 numnuts at the counter are like rocks, I explained to them my situation, and expected a reply of some sort vs silence ?? wtf is that? We got animals working here? There were other cars inside.... Reply, they got in B4 the rain, now I have to watch the weather also, that's bs, the higher rents and nothing to show for it, place is a mess with garbage all over the place, just asking for some respect here, I get it, the counter ppl just follow rules, where does it say that no cars in during rain, wonder what happens in the snow? This is a bad rep for this facility, and I was just getting to like it, they might say no drinks in my car on a hot day while parked on the parking lot.... Who knows.

The people were nice at first when we moved in.And when we got the unit online, we got a really good deal.But after three months They raised the price significantly.There was an issue with the payment not being Which was no fault of mine and Not only did they charge an extra hundred twenty dollars and put A different lock on my unit but they cut my original lock off so when we finally Settled our account, we couldn't even open.Our unit until we bought another lock And if they? Think i'm paying another twenty two dollars for their damn wrong. Be weary with this place.

Cubesmart should be more transparent about their pricing. They should also provide customers a warning before increasing their prices. Customers should be given more options when it comes to their storage needs. Cubesmart should provide customers a grace period after increasing prices so they have enough time to look for other options. Great service!!. The manager Starlin Ortega, was more than helpful??????????He helped me navigate my van into their tight but functional driveway/loading space. Got us the storage space in less than 10min. The place itself is clean, easy to navigate and has a huuuuge two car length elevator, oh blip#$*%. The custodian was more than helpful as well. Shucks!, this place is darn worth coming to, not to mention the 30% off deal, wink! ??

I started renting here about 3 years ago and was helped by the most professional and understanding manager named Pearl. Pearl stayed later than closing hours to make sure I understood everything, and found a unit to my liking. I had to call in to change my payment info and pleasantly was greeted by Pearl. Pearl is the main reason I still rent my storage here instead of hunting around for lower prices.

This is my first time using a storage space. In this specific Cube Smart they treat you with respect and the staff is very helpful. I have been in this location over a 1 year and I feel very confident and safe using their premises. The staff is excellent, they provide an Excellent customer service! Convenient location and friendly staff. Rent increases substantially after promotional period ends and rodents damaged my property. Unit access is challenging due to operating hours, occasional flooding, very poor lighting, and vehicles inaccessible to upper floors. No garbage cans in the facility, you must take all trash with you. They also charge $250 for each mattress removed by them from the unit upon moving out.

I've never rented a self storage unit and was very skeptical on renting one. I reserved a unit on a Friday night. The following Saturday morning I received a confirmation call from Stacey who greeted me warmly and with a wonderful, helpful disposition to confirm my arrival to the Jamaica facility. Once I arrived early that afternoon, she again greeted me warmly, introduced me to Pearl her colleague who was just as nice. She then took me to the storage unit for my approval or disapproval. Needless to say, I approved. The two floors of the facility which I toured were very clean. Once I approved it Stacey took the time and wrote down in detail my two options for renting the unit which helped me fully understand their offers and made my decision easy. I am more than happy with the great customer service Stacey provided as well as the location and cleanliness. Should you have any concerns do yourself a favor and call Stacey or Pearl at this facility. I assure you, you'll be happy you did.

Awesome Location...Walked in to ask some questions and take a look at the units available and upon entering I was greeted right away and by Pearl. I told her what I was looking for and what I possibly needed, she worked her magic and covered all avenues to insure that all my needs were met and that I was comfortable. I did end up with the storage unit I needed and was happy. Also while Pearl worked her magic, I also had the chance to speak with Ms. Stacey (as the other reviews listed) and she is a wonderful person as well, very helpful and pleasant. They both made me feel welcomed, comfortable and confident. The environment that they have set in place is very pleasant and peaceful. I always have a great experience when I go to cube smart. The workers there are very courteous and have great costomer service. One ofthe workers, "Pearl" was very helpful and explained everything i needed to know about the storage and fees, very clearly. Every time I enter cube smart just off of Archer ave , near JFK airport, I am greeted in a nice and proffesional mannner. The fees are reasonable, I give them 5 stars, hands down. Pretty good storage facility. It serves its purpose. At times it can be really cold in the winter and the lights will turn off randomly if you're there for too long. Not a bad rate either. Otherwise I can't complain.

Very great facility and good staff, My mother has a storage here and she never had any problem but lately we have tried to enter the facility before 6:30pm and a new skinny girl tries to not let us go in because access hours are over at 6:30pm but online says 7pm even though thats not going to take us more than 15 mins. We never had this issue before with the old staffs. Hope this gets better.

Unacceptable ! Somehow! Someway! Someone was able to brake into our storage unit and leave their personal belongings ( 4 items two big luggages and two crates photos attached ) despite buying a good lock ( photo attached ).Oddly enough none of my valuables were taken or so I think ???( under review ) .When we questioned the staff members about the situation we were not given straight forward ( shocking ) answers however we were given a discount and many apologies. I would give this cube smart a 1 star but the manager was as helpful as he could be despite the situation. I am not happy with what happened because I thought I could trust this company to safely store my belongings without worry but I guess I was wrong. Also, I am considering moving out and going with another establishment.

I was extremely disappointment with the pricing information given to me over the phone verses what I ended up having to pay. When I call to make arrangements for ANYTHING, I always ask if there is anything else I need to know and/or be aware of so that I may budget accordingly and in this case luckily I had the additional funds on me. Not a happy camper about that. Then I was told this was a 24 hour facility which IT IS NOT and the times they are open, do not work with my schedule at all so I will have to loose some time from work when I am ready to remove my items from this storage place. I strongly suggest, the ppl. who answer the phones and take the reservations get on the same page as the actual facility. Just a suggestion

Needed a place to store boxes as I was in the middle of a renovation. Was apprehensive at first, but going to the facility, meeting Diamond, getting a tour of the facility. allayed all my concerns. She was a calming presence and extremely professional as she explained pricing, types of storage locker sizes, laid out elevator locations, hand trolley location and the general rules of the facility, as well as hours of operation. I found the facility to be clean and is under constant surveillance.

When I got a call that there was water in front of my storage unit, I was very worried. When I got there I found there was water in my unit and some of my boxes were wet. This was bad, but the employees working there made it better. Mr. Weaver and Mr. Ortega stayed beyond closing by multiple hours to help me move all of my stuff, including large heavy furniture, into my new storage unit. They provided me with free new boxes to replace the old wet ones. They gave me a discount on the new unit for my trouble. They were helpful and friendly, and turned a bad situation into a good one. They should be commended for their wonderful customer service.

Also depending on who moves in next to you, your things have the potential of falling over. Minds did! Hours are a bit too short for the normal working person. Utilize the weekend hours.

This location is ok, however, there have been a few occasions where I called for the hours and arrived, they were closed are closing. Their hours don’t match the ones online or at the 1800 number. I stored here for about 2 years and in that 2 year time span they’ve raised my rent five times. They send a notice in the mail about the rent increase. I no longer have a need for storage, however if I ever do, cubesmart is not a place that I would chose.

I've been here since 6/2015 and it took about 9-11 months before I adequate lighting was added to the space I was given. Not only was I inconvenienced when the power got knocked out when I needed access, the manager was nice enough to give me a dollar discount. And lets top this off with the fact that you can only exit the basement from an elevator is one of the most terrifying things. This place really needs to get it together. oh and make sure you get your own locks, they shouldn't have access with their little pin.

No one would expect that going to purchase a storage unit would be such a pleasant experience. Starlin and Selina greeted me with big smiles and excellent customer service! Starlin was so patient with me doing this for the first time and showed me multiple vacant units. After finding out the online discount expired, I was about to go to another location and Starlin pulled some strings and got me the free month!! The entire time I waited Selina and Starlin were so sweet, making jokes and handling every customer with ease as they did. I swear if I had this level of customer service everywhere I went, shopping would be a better experience!!! I think these two deserve a promotion! :-)

I rented my storage unit here. Stacy is really great. She really cares about providing a good customer experience and making sure the customer is satisfied. Stacy is really patient and attentive. I just had an awful experience with the moving company they used to do my move into my storage unit. I was given a 12pm to 2:pm move time frame. The day of my move the driver kept calling me every other hour to change the his arrival timeframe. This was a problem because the men I had hired to handled the labor of moving my items into and out of the truck were being paid by the hour and they were on my dime since 12pm. The truck finally arrived at 3:12pm. No apologies were given, but a tip was requested first as soon as the truck arrived. My experience with Cube Smart personnel so far has been pretty good, their moving company, not good.

The people were really nice their greetings were welcoming. The manager Jamess gave me a tour and he explained everything word by word. Really nice people . I will recommend anybody to go there they have really good promotions compare to other companies or places .

The staff are quite pleasant and friendly especially the manager Stacy. Stacy made my moving drama much less dramatic. The only complaint I have is the poor lighting near my unit. Directional arrows and markers would be useful.

Today I encountered a rude and aggressive employee who identified himself as James at the 138-54, 94th Ave. store. I asked the guy very nicely one simple question regarding how the access code worked when entering and leaving and I got a smart-alecky answer. I tried several other times, rephrasing the question in the most basic way that I could think of just in case I was dealing with a total imbecile and he became more aggressive in his behavior and answer. James sports a beard. However since he talked in a feminine manner, I thought perhaps he was actually a menstruating female for I did nothing to have provoked the reaction that I got from him. At any rate, since I already paid for another month, I will definitely move my belongings to a different storage company and leave CubeSmart and its obviously mentally unstable employee to themselves. And, by the way, this is the same employee who denied me access at 5:50pm, on a week day about two weeks, because, he said, access was not granted into the building after 5:45pm. However, the signs that are posted at entrances to the building clearly indicate that access into the building is until 6pm Monday through Friday.

I stored the contents of my life here for a year. I hope never to have to do that again, but overall I was pleased with my CubeSmart experience. Great staff at this location. Stacey, in particular, is extremely competent and pleasant.

I appreciate all the help these ladies has done for me. The facility is great and if you have personal items I would prefer you store it here because this place is very secured and guarded ... If you want to move make this the place to store your good and items

Staff was extremely helpful and supportive...moves can be very difficult! I had to move a piano/furniture at the last minute. All staff members--Israel, Michael, and Efraim-- went above and beyond the call of duty. On the phone and in person, they answered lots of questions, were respectful, professional, courteous, calm, polite-you name it! A staff to be very proud of! I highly recommend CubeSmart and this staff. Also, when I had to rent a UHaul truck because the CubeSmart truck was out, UHaul tried to beat the price of my storage unit, but couldn't do it. (The one thing I'd recommend to CubeSmart is have more trucks available, w/several time blocks available thru the day, so more people can use them).
