The facility is very clean and easy to access at your convenience. The staff was friendly and professional. However, I gave 3 stars instead of 5 due to an issue with billing flexibility. Before signing up, I specifically asked about the possibility of my home closing date changing and was assured that they prorate and would “work with me” if needed. Unfortunately, when my closing was delayed by 9 days, I was denied a prorated option and had to pay for a full extra month. Despite explaining the situation and asking for a one-time courtesy, the representative wasn’t flexible or accommodating. That experience ultimately lowered my rating.

I Love CubeSmart self storage because since I opened my storage unit I have been treated as I am one of there family member Ms Aritha has always been friendly professional and put a smile on my face it’s a joy walking and she smiles the storage unit is always clean and nice so for that reason I would advise everyone to try it . Beware! They get you to rent to then send a rate increase notice the month after! 6 months of our home belongings in storage to find our things covered in mold and all our boxes wet! They offer you insurance which we did buy to only find out the damage wasn’t covered?! So what’s it for then? The 2 employees working the day we moved out said it wasn’t normal that our things were found this way. I mean the entire floor of the unit was wet! To later be told it was condensation?! That was way more than condensation. No one ever answers the phone and Cube Smart doesn’t care about your belongings! Find a different facility.

I agree that Nicholas & Aritha are the best! Very cordial and understanding they get 5+ stars...however, the price for these units are increased significantly and the late fee is ridiculous after 8 or 9 days of being late my payment increases nearly 60 dollars and they overlock your unit. If I had the help to move my stuff out I would do it in a jiffy!

The woman that works at cube smart in Jefferson Valley NY was awesome. Her name is Aretha might be misspelling it snd for that my apologies. She is a very bubbly personality so sweet helpful. Aritha is absolutely amazing! Very professional and extremely kind. She walked me through each step in the process, showed me the units to help me decide which was the best one for me, answered all of my questions I had with great detail and knew everything I needed/wanted to know. Great location in the area for me and felt very safe, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of a storage unit. Thank you so much! Update 3/14/2025 - Unfortunately I must rescind my former review. After only 4 months of having a storage unit, the company had decided to do an extremely unreasonable price increase of $52.00 extra per month. Even though it is well within their right to do so as per their monthly contract, I find it completely unacceptable for such a high rate. I attempted to contact management to discuss this only to never have them call me back with a response from corporate and had only received an email for the new bill and rate. Anyone looking to rent a storage unit from here, please be aware that it should only be for very short term as they can change their prices to whatever they decide to for the next month and you can be stuck in a potentially very stressful situation looking for a new and more reasonably price storage unit elsewhere.

The customer service in Jefferson Valley is 5 star! Thank you Aritha! But raising my monthly cost 30% after 6 months was unreasonable, therefore I left. I only post this for the next person. Rate increase is not on an annual basis. I was disappointed and left for another facility where I locked in an annual rate.

Nicholas and Aretha were amazing! The nicest and most professional employees we have met in a storage facility by far! The facility is kept very clean as well. My only issues are the loading and unloading area. The posts block you and the lot has a downward slope and the carts slide into your vehicle and the parking lot! Other than it being a bit expensive for the units we liked it there and would use them again if needed.

I can’t truly thank the Store Manager Aritha enough! She went above and beyond for my family during this difficult time. I honest had to cry my eyes out before going in the store and was so kind and understood and gave me a ear and shoulder to cry on. Never once was judged and gave me the guidance I needed ?? Honestly people aren’t kind to no one another but Aritha is a rare soul and this company needs to keep her because she is a rare gem that shouldn’t be unappreciated. I know once I’m on my feet I’m going to come back with a nice gift for her kindness. And yes the facility is clean and love the lights are motion sensor. Easy to navigate and helpful to have those Dollie’s upfront makes moving a breeze.
