I rented a storage unit here because it offered the convenience of being able to drive into it, park, unload and load. Unfortunately for the last 2 months this has not been possible because the garage door has been inoperable. The staff only say that parts have been ordered but they don’t know when the door will be fixed.

I had a very frustrating experience with CubeSmart at 35 Winthrop Ave, New Rochelle, NY. My unit was severely affected by a storm in Sept 2021. I had multiple feet of water inside my unit. The lack of any response from CubeSmart corporate was pathetic. When signing up for my unit, I was forced to purchase insurance through CubeSmart. I elected to do the highest option. In true scammer form, the insurance was useless. The only thing that actually covered was arson and theft. I lost over $30,000 worth of clothes, furniture, art, etc. Nothing was covered. To add insult to injury, I left a few remaining items that survived the flood inside my unit. Over the following 18months my unit rent was raised a total $127. What is also alarming is that the facility is located in a major flood zone, which they do not disclose to their customers. There have been 2 more recent storms that produced a lot of rain and the first floor flooded, causing serious damage. Shame on CubeSmart for not being honest about the issues.

Just worked to get as many people cleaned up as was within her power (I heard her on the phone begging corporate to send her help, and was told she was on her own.)

This location has been decent for most of the time we’ve used them (Other than their constant increases in rates). But lately there was some flooding and it knocked out their ability to have customers access their property independently. This also resulted in the hours changing and for some reason it didn’t seem necessary to alert the customer base. When I called to complain I was basically told, “well it’s hard to email over 500 people”. *No it isn’t- you hit select all* I use storage for equipment I need for work. I wound up losing a significant payday because of the lack of communication resulting in me not being able to access my gear. Cube Smart for some reason doesn’t seem to care about that and have offered nothing by way of compensation other than a half hearted “sorry” We have never payed late, never left a mess, never complained about anything. This is the treatment a perfect customer receives. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. There are plenty of other options. Perhaps choose one that can afford to make necessary repairs when needed.

Our storage facility endured an epic flood, the likes of flooding we have not experience in the Northeast since 1938! During the whole clearing out process you need to know about 2 sterling employees. Renee Archibald was both kind, helpful and compassionate. She guided all storage tenants through the next steps and kept us well informed. Vincent Pedraza was very helpful in assiting us clear the unit and ensured the records keeping was updated. Both employees are great assests to you team and should be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to their employer!

Stored here for three years. It was acceptable for most of that time, except they do love to raise your rental rate significantly a couple of times a year without warning. However, during the last few months I stored here, first the roof leaked onto my belongings - not great, but a relatively minor issue at the time. Then, in the final week, the entire facility got flooded with nearly a foot of water during a storm and destroyed much of my belongings, and most others' in the building as well. I don't believe this facility is maintained well enough to protect customers' belongings from the elements.

She was helping me and greeted me when I arrived, walked me through all the options available for the space I wanted to rent, explained me everything t- and accompanied me to the locker twice to be sure I was able to gain access without issue, pointing out the security features as we went. Service at Cubesmart, Winthrop Avenue, New Rochelle is usually brusque and rigid at best. Roberto was a rare exception. He was understanding and showed some empathy. He went out of his way Totally disarmed me. There should be more like him with a culture that trains and rewards. Cubesmart management might want to take note. They were totally disengaged when my unit was burgled two years ago. Would not take a call on the subject. Happy to just keep bumping up rents by 10% a year. They should be encouraging loyal, paying customers.

The manager Roberto was extremely courteous and professional. He answered all of our questions and showed us the various size units which we were inquiring about. We wanted to upgrade our present unit to a larger one and he was able to quickly update the new contract without any hassles.

April 16, 2024 Tanya was great, great service, thanks again! July 30, 2023 CubeSmart as a staff that’s professional and courteous. I’ve been there for at least two years storing my deceased parents items. The only issue I have with CubeSmart is the fact that they have no garbage cans on premises or no dumpster with the prices that continually go up every six months to a year I expect to at least have some kind of garbage can, I know people take advantage but a lot of people do not and why should the good people have to pay for a couple of bad apples and that’s my two cents thank you for your facility. It’s been a great help. May 1, 2021, So far so good will be moving my items to facility with in the next, time will tell, Staff is professional and knowledgeable.

Well staffed with knowledgeable, helpful managers. Clean as a whistle and clearly well maintained. Easy access. Well priced in line with similar facilities in NR. The drive-through loading area is very convenient but beware the clearance 11'6" which is marked on the way OUT, by which time you have already discovered this limit when trying to drive your truck IN. If the truck won't fit it is still a very short distance to the entryway, All floor surfaces are smoothly paved. A superior storage spot!

I seldom leave reviews, but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised that the entire process was seamless! My service agent was really well prepared, knew exactly how to treat a customer and not only that, he did it Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.......something we used at work when you were "ABCD". I was impressed at how quick the processs was. I would have given 5 stars except I don't remember being informed online that you MUST have insurance for your rental unit and the conveniently offer insurance for $12 a month!! This seemed MORE THAN A BIT UNDERHANDED and honestly should lower my review to a 1 star......but the customer service is why I'm only reducing my rating to a 4 star rating. Clearly Mr. M. Is a keeper as an employee:)

We use this space for our business storage and have had a great experience with the staff and manager Matthew. The space is accessible when we need it - 7 days a week, parking spaces are always there, the price is fair, they have worked with us on deliveries and disposal, accepted and implemented some minor suggestions we made on improving access (like getting more carts). In general we are very happy with the space and service we receive.
