I absolutely love this location. The customer service is top tier and the staff is not only friendly but professional. From registration to execution.. this is the location I’d recommend to anyone. I recently had surgery and was unable to lift much anymore. I called and spoke with Regina who is a manager about my personal situation. The only time they provide great service is during the moment of enrollment. I am convinced these reviews are not coming from direct customers. How is it possible that a storage company has hours that follow most New Yorkers 8am-5pm work schedule and then when you arrive at 530pm-545pm they’re already closed. Absolutely ridiculous. The app and website states they’re opened till 6pm and state there’s access until that time, after rushing there after a long day at work just for them to tell you they’re closed at 545pm just shows how poorly this business/location is ran. Might be worth investing into people who actually want to provide actual customer service.

Please measure your unit before signing paperwork!! I arrived to move into my 10x7.5 unit which i reserved for a specific rate to find out that it was a 10x5 which I would not fit into. They offered me to move into a 10x10 instead but no adjustment to the rate. When we measured the 10x10... it was a 10x7!. Still trying to charge me for a 10x10 I had to speak to the District manager several times and then finally the General Manager to have my original rate honored. I really should not have to work that hard to get basic consumer rights and accommodations met. I have been renting at CubeSmart for 16 years and have never had this issue... in fact except for the rate hike that happens so often I truly love the staff. So please do better with renting accurately measured units that are advertised as such and do better at taking accountability for your mistakes.

Excellent facility with a very attentive and helpful staff. This was my first time using CubeSmart’s services. Andrew and Matt upfront were exceedingly transparent with me with prices, location of the unit in the building, and the best option for my situation (length of stay, unit size). Two options were given for me: 25% off with the first six months locked in or the first month free at a higher rate. Since my situation required long-term storage, I took the first option. Your situation may vary, so take advantage whichever applies to you. Lastly, there is a $29 first time fee, plus $18 for the lock, and a nominal monthly insurance cost. If there is a claim necessary against their lock, a $100 claim fee is waived if you use their lock. This was all thoroughly explained by their team. My past experience with other storage facilities left me with hidden fees and rate hikes. I appreciated Andrew and Matt easing my concerns, where getting into storage and moving in NYC can be hectic. This will be my preferred facility. There is another one nearby on Jamaica Ave, but this facility is climate controlled and larger with an equipped staff to talk you through whatever Your case may be.

There are elevators on each floor, and you must have your own specific password to use the elevator. The security system is in place. There are many reserve rooms of different sizes to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable, ranging from a dozen yuan to a few hundred yuan??, which is very convenient and applicable. The waiters here are nice and lively and will help you look at various storage rooms until you are satisfied. You don't have to worry about any problems. By the way, you must be able to speak basic English to come here. Of course, if you understand the translation, it should be ok?? ?? I've used a few storage locations in the past and today I went to CubeSmart. I was assisted by the associate Arvin who showed me a variety of units that would be suitable for my storage needs. The facility is extremely well kept and clean and the staff is beyond helpful, I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in need of storage whether for business or personal. Also their prices are extremely reasonable. So I was originally giving them 5 stars until I actually was moving into the unit the next day and realized it wasn't cleaned. The associate who removed the lock looked inside and said it was clean, when I looked inside the floor and was lined with dust, I went to the office to notify them of this, another associate went to clean the unit. When I returned to the unit to put my stuff inside I realized he just did a quick wipe down which I usually wouldn't mind, but sadly as seen in photos there's still dust in the corners and an empty bottle was left in the unit. So disappointed I wish I'd followed my instincts and rented from a different location.

It's a brand new facility, so everything is in good working order, and they actually are climate controlled (unlike others that claim to be but aren't). The staff is professional but can be pretty gruff at closing time, and frankly their access hours suck!! The access hours are 9am -6:30 pm, everyday. And they are enforced! So if you actually have a life or a job which like most people might prevent you from coming between the hours of 9:00 to 6:30, I would look elsewhere.

Upon entering the building you are invited by a fragrant and uplifting scent. Very clean lobby and clean freight entrance. We were greeted by Regina. Her attention to detail was immediate as she had remembered our faces from a week before. We went over availability quickly and proceeded to the showings. We started in the basement and after rapport building she advised us against the basement.(Only because we were storing baby stuff) She found us the perfect unit and some money to spare. Place is nice. Price was a little high which is why I minus 1 star. Facility is clean and very well kept. Employees are nice and very helpful. I had booked a basement unit online. However when I arrived and before I processed, employee walked me to the unit and explained that the location was prone to a small amount of water on the floor when it rains. So, he suggested if water was an issue to move to another unit. He then showed me another unit on the 5th floor and it was perfect for my needs. 5x7 unit versus a 5x10 which would’ve been too big. As we checked out and processed price was reduced $8 within the 10 minutes I was there! Prices for storage units fluctuate constantly depending upon availability and popularity at the time. I got my 5x7 for $101 per month. I think that’s high but I’ve seen prices even higher and also have seen some lower prices but further away from my home. Overall I would recommend this location to family and friends.

However my reservation for the storage unit got lost and the system needs fixing. If you’re taking advantage of a deal and found a good price online, bring proof or you’ll get charged much more. I had my unit for 3 years and never had a problem retrieving my items, the keypad entry system and the option to secure your unit with multiple locks adds to the sense of security. Staff are excellent. Samuel Levy helped me with my application process and showed me around the space which was very clean and well lit. He provided exceptional customer service and I felt great about storing my things at this site. Unfortunately, I was not able to use this space long-term. When I arrived at the location the Saturday after I rented my unit the access street (which is a dead end road in an industrial setting) was blocked off by NYPD for road construction that lasted the whole weekend. As I was paying for movers and a truck by the hour I ended up having to store my belongings somewhere else. I tried to contact the site manager asking if I could have a prorated refund of my first month's rent but never heard back.

Friendly staffs, but confused about how to do things. I reserved a unit online; on my check-in date, the managers could not find my reservation. After 45 minutes, and by showing them my confirmation email, they could honor their own company's offer. However, when I arrived home, I figured out that the amount that was charged was more than what was mentioned in the reservation. I contacted them. Two so called managers could not even understand the problem even after 20 minutes of explanation. The 3rd manager, who was the same person who checked me in, understood what he had done wrong, BUT could not resolve it!

I give a mark of 10 to the cubesmart staff, I give a mark of 6 on the true dimensions of the storage units, they are much smaller then the dimensions quoted and the ceiling height with beams, fire sprinkler pipes & roll down doors greatly interfere with stacking boxes. Lastly I give a 7 on the costs, the monthly rental fees along with the projected increases make this a very expensive long term storage choice. It would be nice if cubesmart had a "long term" rate schedule for 1, 2 3+ years vs the typical short term rental.

I have opened other storage units around the city in the past, at other facilities, but nothing was ever as easy or as pleasant as my experience this time. Manager Glen Brown was so open and clear about every detail, explaining every step. He showed me how to do everything and he got me set up in a unit in a great spot that will make coming and going a breeze. He was NICE. If you don’t know how rare that is at a storage facility I’m telling you it’s RARE. He even checked in with me as I was unloading my car for another round just to make sure I was doing alright. It was busy, and he still gave me personal attention. I also saw him treating other guests with the same level of helpfulness and kindness. He made the experience 110% better than any other. CubeSmart you better give this manager all the bonuses and raises!!

Updated: Management reached out to me and was able to make everything right. They were able to get me a proper sized unit at the original price. Just moved everything into the new unit today and I am super happy. Bumping shoutout to the district manager Nick for reaching out to me and making sure that I as a customer is well taken care of. I’ll continue to be a customer to CubeSmart as long as they continue to have amazing people working for them. Original review: Make sure you go in and check out the locker you reserved before finalizing the paperwork. I reserved a 5x5 unit. Did all of my paperwork and payments online. On the day of moving my stuff in, I find myself stuck with a 2x7 unit. The staff tried to accommodate by giving me a slight discount and since my stuff was already there, I forced myself to make it work as much as I can. I don’t blame the workers for this mistake, but I still find this tactic very deceitful. I would eventually upgrade to a bigger unit since they seem to have the best prices in the area, but then I’ll just get hit with another admin charge and locker rental charge all over again.

This is the 2nd unit that my partner and I have at this facility. We've only had them for a total of 3 months, but have made trips there at least a dozen times. Every time the service is great, those working here are always very helpful, even when juggling several other tasks and assisting others. Please don't get rid of anyone else on the team here, they really are wonderful and give me the peace of mind I need to leave my belongings here. Just a quick idea of my situation. We recently moved out of our 1 bedroom apartment, and had to move ALL of our belongings into storage while staying with family. I'm not sure we could've done it without Cubesmart. Thank you! Staff is friendly, the services offered could use a lot of work and streamlining. Offering a free driver and truck should not be the customer's responsibility to make that arrangement with a contracted company when CubeSmart is putting that in their rental agreement. They have "moving vans" which has their logo on it but this was never told to me that they have their own vehicles. I happened to see the van in the loading area of the storage location, another reason for just 2 stars. his should have been mentioned that they have their own vans either for rental or for free to customers who rent from them when available.

A staff shortage on late Saturday evening might have been responsible for the longer than expected time spent at this facility. We were very conscious of the time as our very kind Neil our had taken us there. We are elderly and did not appreciate the fact that we had to go up in a mini lift before e could use the elevator, another fairly long walk ( for us ) to our cubicle and the very congested parking area made it much less attractive than the one at 179 Street and Jamaica Avenue. However, this one was cheaper ( I guess for all the above reasons ) and we did need to have a storage place sorted out for use this week.I am hoping that he removal people would have an easier time YMA

This is my first experience ever to have storage. I went online, call the CSR they assisted me. Price fluctuate every week, the managers, everybody are managers over there apparently, can not change current reservation pricing to newer one, so I had to cancel and made another one. No big deal. My experience when I got there: 1. I was helped by Glen, took his time, showed me what I needed to see, made sure everything will go smooth, I lucked out near by elevator. I made sure with Glen I want the specific unit and I don’t want any drama, he made sure of that. 2. On the day of moving, Glen was off, but he said his team there. Shayne, Its Thursday, 7/18, Ive told him I might need extra storage, heads up, made the reservation for it, and he showed me the weird angle of 5 x 7.5 and 5 x 5. 3.God send happened, Samuel Levy, I gave him heads up my moving process that I wont be done in time of closing of access code, I begged him to let me finish to store my belonging with my movers, not much left, we did, then we need more storage, it happened, yes, system already closed, I know after hours and everybody want to go home, it is a process, Ive been through a lot, divorce, sold the apartment, moving, hire movers for the first time, and storing my stuffs for the first time. I guess workers there seeing a lot they just train to be angels? Anyway, he helped me, he made sure that Im ok, offered me water etc, he showed me proper options of cubes, and let me finish and store my abundant stuffs. I really appreciate Samuel Levy, he is an asset to your company. 4. The facility is clean, well lit, climate control, I feel comfortable, bunch of carts etc, price is very competitive. 5. I don’t leave reviews, for Samuel Levy and that storage location im taking my time to write from my super busy schedule, he totally deserve it. Thank you Sam!

I was able to get a same day reservation and unit. It was clean, and the staff was great and accommodating. Samuel at the Richmond Hill location was able to check us in, give us the walkthrough, and suggestions for our storage. Great experience.

If you need storage unit, this is your place to go. Newly built & clean. As for the staff, I couldn't have better things to say about them. When my wife and I went to sign up we were helped by Glen & Samuel and they were the most professional and considerate people we've ever dealt with at a storage facility. We had another CubeSmart storage unit at another facility and these gentlemen were so much more helpful then the employees the old place. As for moving in our stuff - it was a breeze, especially with the help of the van that they have available for a small daily fee. They also have carts that you can use to move things from your vehicle to your unit. Get your storage unit here and say hello to Glen & Sam for us!

My experience with CubeSmart as a first time customer was exceptional. First point of interaction was the manager, Sam Levy, very professional and KNOW how to explain the way a storage system works with specific details and all answers to your questions. He talks to you with professionalism and respect. You can tell he knows the business in and out and he goes above and beyond to help you with every question. He explains the rules clearly and all the steps of the service/s before you even sign up for a storage unit. NO STRING ATTACHED. All clear and straight to the point. My tour experience: very organized, great layout, high tech security, air conditioned floors, clean high tech elevator with access code, very easy to get around and three long lanes on loading dock good for three big rental trucks / SUV's and can fit up to 6 cars. A lot of useful equipment that makes your move from the loading dock to storage unit so easy and effortless. Very convenient location because it is less busy than high transit areas such as Flushing or Astoria. Going back, customer service is everything for me and the manager, Sam does a great job in representing CubeSmart and you can tell he cares. If you are a new customer like me you will be happy to deal with such a great manager and I'm sure the rest of the staff are phenomenal as well. The vibe is great so if you are drained with a moving out of your apartment/house experience..this is the answer, the relief and it's well worth their prices so you can focus your time and energy on the most important things in your life. I have been a customer of cubesmart for over 5 years. I have always dealt with Wendy and Tiffany who were fantastic. Unfortunately shortly after Honey was hired there I started having trouble. Even something as little as paying my rent was a headache with her. I moved out of this storage facility a few weeks ago when I moved across the country. I took everything out, even cleaned up the little scraps that were around from a family moving into a unit near mine, and informed Honey that I no longer needed my unit. I am now getting phone calls that not only do I owe another month's rent because apparently Honey neglected to close out my account in their system, but I'm also told that someone has taken over that unit and locked it. When I explained to Honey that I informed her I was moving out weeks ago, she immediately raised her voice considerably, got an attitude and became defensive. If that wasnt enough she then continued to call me in an almost harrassing way, even after we both agreed I should speak to a manager about it. They insist on continuing to charge me for the unit even after several phone calls with them. I will be contacting the BBB and the contents of the two units that my sister in law have in that store will be relocated.

Check-in was a breeze. The girls up front we're very friendly and helpful. The place is brand new with many units available. The location is in a dead end street. So it is very congested and not very easy to get in and out of.
