I’ve had a unit here at cubesmart for a frequent amount of time, I was notified that there was a rate increase and was planning to move out due to the increase. I was introduced to a few alternatives regarding my concern and was greatly pleased with the outcome. Thank you to Nipun and lynn for being so cooperative and helpful, Also great thanks to Thush who is keeping the storage super clean. I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and customer service.

I've beenwithAmeicanstorage for 12 years. When they left 4 years ago they gave it blue storage. Now cube took over 2months ago and the workers plus the manager name Josh have been very dishonest leading along term customer like me with false customer information. They did not inform the customers till every one has been calling or going there including me to see what happened to the previous owners that no one answers the calls nor any letters were sent. After 3 weeks we received a letter, After we have been going to find out who were the new owners. This company bucks and they over charge. I pay my unite 385 and if I get late this company charges me 75 dollars. Previously both companies charged me 20, and 25. I Advise it's better to ask some ones empty garage and pay them monthly or go to another company than stick with dishonest company and employees like cube.

No issues with the space itself other than crowding when driving your car up. Staff is friendly. My monthly rent increased by 25% over two years which is why I closed my account and moved my things out. Three stars for the rent hikes and lack of space to drive your car into the storage area. Don’t move your stuff here if you can’t afford to move it out right away when the company starts taking advantage of you.

I did EVERYTHING online although I was indecisive about it they made my experience great. They even called me after I signed up online and walked me through everything and allowed me to ask all the questions I needed. When I arrived I felt so comfortable because it was exactly as described to me on the phone I had no issues at all. When I arrived at my storage there was a bag in it with my lock and other convenient papers with contact info and much more. I am very well pleased.

REDEMPTION: Managers Jennifer Fox, John Quintana and Peter won me back after disappointing departure a year prior. I came back in a stressful short term need and found Jennifer and John professional as always. They are efficient in taking customers in order and explaining how policies work. In a high volume moment, they respect both the customer in front of them and courteously manage concerns of those waiting. This is an underappreciated skill I really value. Now, just to exemplify attention to complaints, I previously left because I could not stand the smell of marijuana that had started episodically appearing in my first year as tenant. I mentioned casually a couple times that it was happening. Ms. Fox alerted me that they were aggressively monitoring security cameras but having difficulty tracking down the culprits. I ultimately vacated saying that the cost and annoyance of the odor were just too much. I got a call from regional management saying they were sorry and were also intolerant of the disruption and hoped I'd come back. Well when I came back Ms Fox remembered me and she took the company issue as a personal embarrassment. She assured me they found the bad actors, ejected them and hadn't had any other offenders since. I reluctantly joined again and was very satisfied with their attention in the two months I used the center. John helped me plan reliable access to the complimentary truck for short trip loading. I feel safe there. I'd trust my wife going there alone after hours. I feel my belongings are safe and air conditioned there. And it's a comfortable place to get items in and out with dollies and two elevators. The only reason I left this time is that i made space in my home. As conditions necessitate, I will happily return.

Cube Smart in Staten Island on Richmond Terrace is excellent. I am having a very positive experience with them. I've visited CubeSmart a couple of weeks ago and was enticed by Jennifer Fox. She has a great personality that's very quite natural and she fully explained and notify me of the facility rules and regulations and rented a room. This company is lucky if I had a business I would hire her on the spot. Working in customer service can be difficult but Jennifer handles everything so effortlessly. Whenever I have any issues she takes care of it immediately and never makes me feel like it's a bother like other places. It's people like her that make tough times much easier. I had one of the toughest times of my life dealing with the death of my father and when I came to cubesmart and met Jennifer it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. She answered all my questions and even called me e after I left. Jennifer thank you for your kind words and helping me find everything I need to complete this move. I am forever grateful to you and your staff. I would give 100 stars if I could. I have used storage units in the past and I don't remember ever meeting people like the staff here. Where do I start???these guys did great by me and provided great customer service they were helpful and worked diligently to make sure I got what I needed while I had some things in one of their storage units. Provided a handtruck and an actual truck rental to move what I needed in and out of the storage unit.they were always very nice and efficient.I was with them for almost 2 years and I was a satisfied customer.

The managers Sade and Joshua are very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable . The employees at this location is absolutely out of this world amazing. Some of the best customer service I've ever seen!!!! I'm buying a new house. I have furniture appliances that have to be shipped with no ware to put it other than my storage unit.. moving is so hard and the employees at this location have been supper helpful making my life easier. They allowed me to have my packages shipped there and then later in the afternoon I come pick it up after work.. I have been so stressed out trying to get all the things for the house shipped.. I've even had some packages Return to Sender.. thanks to these lovely employees I can sleep a little better at night.. and they always have a smile and is super helpful. Not because their employees but because they generally care that means a lot! Thank you!!!

This location is clean and the staff is friendly however, you can best believe several times a month the front access gate will be OUT OF ORDER. In order to get in you will have to gain access through the door on the side, unload all of your items through the door from the outside instead of be able to drive up and into the facility. Or if you are lucky and you have two people with you one person can enter through the door and walk to the rear and put the code in so you can enter through the back. Horrible

I came in for boxes and I left with a unit. When I entered the office i was greeted by Jennifer. She was friendly patient and extremely helpful. I asked about prices and she offered to show me units. the building is very clean you can drive in and they have a truck you can rent. I already had a storage on the other side of the island for a few dollas cheaper but cubesmart has much more to offer. Jennifer was amazing and her customer service skills are truly Outstanding. As soon as you walk through the door Jennifer fox, facility general manager, greets you with a warm hello and big smile. She answered any stupid question i had and explained it in a way that was easy for me to understand. Even though she was short staffed and with a lobby filling up in the early morning, she took her time, kept calm told everyone sorry for the wait and continued to take care of my needs with out feeling i was being rushed or hurried over because of the growing customers. I recommend this place its the cleanest, cheapest place on staten island but dont think because there cheap in price because they are not cheap on making sure your storage items are safe, secure and the process of opening a new space and renting the moving truck drama free.

The current staff at the Richmond Terrace location is the absolute best!! Always professional! Each time I walk in the door, I get smiles warm greetings, and the most important thing, they all remember my name. In 2014 I lost my SoHo lease after 40 years in business. I decided to place the entire contents of my business in storage. I researched all the storage facilities in NYC and New Jersey. Not only was this CubeSmart facility the least expensive option in the region, they also had onsite parking, drive-in access and climate control. My experience with the entire CubeSmart organization has been nothing less than stellar. The Richmond Terrace staff is providing logistics during my business transition - they handle receiving and outgoing shipments. Thanks to Ms. Fox.. I didn't feel like I was renting a storage.. More I was gaining a closet off my extended Living room. Ms. Fox was extremely knowable and made the rental process go very smoothly. She answered all my questions and made me feel as if I was at home. Ms. Fox also emailed me my rental agreement and assisted me in setting up auto pay so that I won't have a problem if there was a delay in payment. The best part is Cube Smart is located a few blocks from my house. There are so many options at Cube Smart .. as i need to charge my wheelchair and I have the option of having electricity in my unit. (fee's apply) (Un heard of with other storage places)
