Wasn’t bad, giving one star review for visibility. There are scheduled rent increases that are not explained with signing a lease. Cube smart is legally allowed to change rates with a notification 30 days before the rate increase. Cube smart employees are not able to waive this increase. This felt very predatory as someone might store at the location long term and might not live nearby and would not have the ability to move out and would be forced to put up with the rate increase. Luckily I am nearby and was able to rent elsewhere. All the employees and call agents I spoke to were very kind and helpful and the issue seems like a corporate/location policy. This policy especially applies to those taking advantage of any special rates listed online.

Visited today since I have a CubeSmart somewhere that I was looking to move its contents to be closer to me. John was actually on-time to the opening (very rare at other CubeSmart places ive been to) He was able to answer all my questions, Show me the unit and get all the paperwork completed in record time. The site looks to be extremely clean (can't say that where im currently housing my items). And pricing was a lot better im extremely happy with my choice to pick this site.

I had a storage bin for 4 years. It was always clean and secured. The two gentlemen John and Richie were always helpful and always available to assist you in anyway possible. I relocated and had to give up the bin. In doing so, John and Richie walked me throught their policies and accommodated my needs. It was a pleasure having a storage bin with Curb Smart on Wild Ave and having two gentlemen working there was even more of a pleasure. THANK YOU John and Richie.

unsecure location for parking vehicles you’re paying them to store your vehicle yet the entire lot is used as a hangout for drinking and partying when something was said in the office about what I found around my vehicle I was told well we keep chasing them away. Nothing else we can do. You’re supposed to have a locked secure facility if you’re charging people that’s what you could do.

Update: I had to switch to another facility, this place became absolutely unaffordable. My already raised rate was raised another $30-my unit didn't get any bigger and there still weren't any carts. There's should be an abundance of carts available for the high monthly fee, yet there's never more than 3 for the entire facility. So either you have to wait for someone to bring one back or drag your stuff to your unit by hand.

Went to CubeSmart on Wild Avenue on Staten island, NY to inquire about renting a unit. I met with a very nice guy John? He was very professional answered all my questions then took me to see the unit I reserved online This place is very clean, well lit, nice and warm, and even had music playing in the walkways....I signed right away the process was very easy, took only about 5 minutes! Just be aware.... after signing, I inquired about increases in renting the unit. After a great welcoming and eager to sign on, I was informed rates get increased every 6 months to a year for About $15 - $20, I was taken back. I then asked at what cap is it he stated there was no cap! Meaning every 6 months the unit you are renting goes up $15-$20 which means your rental will be $30-$40 more every year you keep your items with them! Just think about that for a second...NO CAP on it which means NO LIMITS on which they charge you. I hope this review helps you.

I have been renting a storage space for over 20 years and hands down. This was the best. I absolutely love this place, very accommodating, excellent customer service, office is open 7 days a week, always spotless. John was exceptional ?? and so was the gentleman on Sunday. This will be my storage until I leave Staten Island.

The response to my poor experience was fantastic. Everything is resolved and the facility is so convenient and extremely clean! I would do it again and strongly recommend! ********* Thought the online process was smooth until it proved to be all smoke and mirrors. Nothing was as they said it would be. As a matter of fact, the credit card payment cleared shortly after i processed the payment, but guess what still doesnt work...my code to access the facility. That was yesterday morning. I totally dislike being told something that proves to be a lie. If it ain't true, don't say it!! Hopefully the ball doesnt stay on the floor cause they definitely dropped it. Thank goodness the one person working the facility during office hours was helpful, even if i had to wait 15 minutes for her to return. That stunk too.

Thank you to the Gm John and his staff for their compassion and the willingness to help us in a very tough time. My Sister Cyn and I have had a really bad experience due to a slumlord that the building department deemed her 1700$ a month apartment not suitable for residential use and fined the landlord and was forced to leave that same day. That being said she needed a place to store her belongings and fast. We came to cube smart their customer service was attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately her slumlord was her boss so not only did she loose her job she lost her home too. Due to the Pandemic I have been slow with work and could not afford to pay help her financially but did the best I could to make it easier for her. The unit was supposed to be paid for by landlord and he of course did not keep his word for almost three months she could not pay this unit. My sister was devastated because of the fees that accumulated on-top of the rental. Unfortunately with needing to find a new place to live and coming up with the first month and security funds were tight. My sister does not drive and my truck isn't big enough to move everything out so she reached out to John the GM and he listened and was so understanding. He did not auction off our stuff. He also drastically lowered the price that was due and made it affordable enough for my sister and I to pay them for their services. That was one of the kindest things and the break we desperately needed. We’re forever grateful for the compassion John and CubeSmart gave us in the worst possible time.I highly recommend this storage place. (Please dont take advantage of their kindness as im sure its not done very often or they wouldn't be in business, so please pay your bill if you can. If you cant at-least make a phone call and explain your situation as im sure they will do their best to work with you in the event of an emergency.)

If they tell you they are going to do something over the phone don’t believe it. Make sure you double check everything they say. Don’t try to use the bathrooms outside of the leasing office. They are not maintained

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to book.qe were moving from and needed a place to store some stuff that tbe movers and our U-haul truck couldn't fit. I looked on line a found Cube Smart at 4 am in tbe morning. I booked it and by 630 we were there unloading. They are very clean and accessable. They have all size storage and plenty of them. I couldn't believe how big the whole place was. I'm using it short term but its worth it. Instead of getting rid of my stuff I stored them. I can't say enough good about this place. If you need extra storage look them up. Even though it say open at 930 you can still access your unit before that

UPDATE: Lowering my rating. 2 years ago, everything I said was true. Still is. BUT ... now that I'm in, I'm paying almost 3 TIMES what a new customer pays for the same spot. It's not right for existing customers to pay so much more so Cube Smart can attract new customers with artificially low rates. Just not fair. What a great facility! I've used a few self-storage facilities over the years and this is by far the best. It is absolutely spotlessly clean and climate controlled. The building is secure and the customer service is excellent. I wish there were more than five stars to give them. Highly recommended.

We recently needed a storage spot in Staten Island, and after quick search on Google, I came across this place. John is an absolute delight. Made our move as accommodating as possible. I had reserved a second unit just in case all our belongings don’t fit in one, and I asked him if he could give me some time while the movers off load and he gave me all the time I needed before I made up my mind. We didn’t end up needing the second unit and John made sure we weren’t penalized for it either. They have a great team there.

Cube smart is Smart solution for storage. The locks are provided bc they are integrated into the pull-down gates. Love the climate controlled storage and friendly staff. Wish it was slightly less expensive but on part with other storage facilities
