I've used this storage facility on 2 different occasions the first time the price was reasonable for what you get but the second time around the price increased. Not the cleanest storage facility so pet hair is definitely wide spread. The bathroom is never clean as well. No lights inside the storage units just lights in the hallways that go out after a few seconds (The exits are scarce and far apart as well so leaving out the storage from the building is kind of a hassle) I think her name was bre or Brianna she helped me the second time around and was helpful and professional the The heavy set guy that works in the office has the WORST attitude didn't get his name but he wears glasses and has a short hair cut very confrontational/unprofessional. Your personal information may not be safe while he is in the office as well since he likes to talk on his cell phone while working on the computer. I had someone stop me recently to vent about how she believes someone that works in the office here broke into her storage so beware! (The monthly insurance is a joke as well) if you find a better rate/option just take it. All in all this storage facility isn't worth the price.

This storage served its purpose but I was robbed and precious cargo was not only stolen but broken. My insurance purchased through the company served no purpose and nothing was handled in a manor to resolve any issues. I am almost 98% sure it was an inside job.

There needs to be someone on site at least until the closing time and if not at least answer the phone. You pay for an expensive maze venture. It took me and 2 other gentlemen unloading their truck 20 minutes to find my building that was still locked. I couldn’t reach anyone and had already paid. Now I’m paying for a few days I’m not even using the facility. Overall the concept is really neat. The entrance is also an issue it took me 15 mins to figure that one out also. Thanks but no thanks never again cube smart

Brianna in the office is great. Super kind and efficient. Everyone else, including managers made us feel like we were an inconvenience and managed to mess a few things up and when it came time to fix it, it was an even bigger problem. The unit was clean and the price was decent. But the location needs better customer service. They can’t rely on Brianna to do all the most important work for them.

It was easy getting the unit and for the first few months we've had no issue. Then, the price has suddenly gone up another $50. I went recently to pick up some things and find mice feces everywhere. And no one ever seems to be there and they won't answer the phone. Ridiculous I have to pay more when feces are all over my things.

No lights in the facility besides LED'S in the hall which go out after 3 minutes, unit was broken into(there is a police report filed), CS Agent who didn't as much as apologize, and acted as if he didn't care less about the situation. The overall storage is ok. I had a controlled unit and it appeared to have been pest free throughout my time having the stuff there. I can't give it 4 stars because initially the first several months I couldn't get anyone at the store to answer the phones, and when I would go there were times they weren't even inside at the desks. I would also get trapped in the garage and instead of them coming to help they would keep telling me to push a button that wasn't working.

I like how CubeSmart has the lock available for the storage as well. The storage building is only a four minutes drive from the house I'm moving out of; that's very convenient as well. Price nearly doubled in 2 years while quality and cleanliness declined. Security gate did not work the a majority of the time, almost always wide open for anyone to get on property as pictured. Inside the unit itself just got nastier every-time I went to my unit and as of recently started to even smell of urine. They will give you a decent rate to start the once moved in will slowly raise the price I went from paying $90 for my unit to over $160 in about 2 years. Produce increase notifications are sent out via postcard in the mail a with a “30” day notice but by the time you receive it your next bill cycle is due in 2 weeks. Save your money and find a better storage unit company elsewhere. I have found an nicer facility at a fraction of the cost with a price guarantee and have moved out as there is no loyalty for their customers. This is an honest and genuine review and no attempt from CubeSmart or anyone will convince me to remove it or edit this review, please save your time and do not reach out to me as I am no longer a customer and will never be one again. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!

I enjoyed my experience at the new Linwood Cube Smart facility! I moved into one of their newer units. The manager, Chinelle (sp?), was very attentive, friendly, and helpful! I arrived unexpectedly the *day before* my reservation! She greeted me with a genuine smile and escorted me to my unit. Very tacky to charge late fees (in addition to locking you out of the unit at 5 days) during the pandemic when a lot of people are struggling... Also, I have 11 units with them, most of them already having had rate increases, so I would expect better treatment. I attempted to work with management when I saw that new customers were getting 50% off most units (which of course is due to less demand and people trimming the fat with their expenses and moving out) but have yet to come to a fair solution. I would like to stay, been here for over a year, but it may be time for me to move...

. The manager Brittany was helping another customer as I came in and after he was done she helped me and showed me the unit I had reserved and got me set up and no time to put my things away. The site is clean and well-lit and the carts they loan out work. I was completely happy with how she dealt with me and the property. I didn't appreciate the expensive insurance that's required but that's just cost of doing business these days so I'm not worried about it except for I think it's overpriced. The location is convenient to where I am and has a huge parking lot that shares with a church. The security seems pretty good and they have good hours for access. I like that I got exactly the size I wanted and that it was easy to get to from the loading area. it is climate controlled so I feel pretty good about leaving my things there. The facility is in excellent condition and seems very new.

Clean, dry and air conditioned. Many small units inside a large warehouse. The locker I reserved on-line was ready when I got there. Setting up account and renting locker was quick and easy. Reasonable rates. Very helpful staff.

I met the manager, Shannel, and she was so helpful and as friendly as can be!! The facilities are large and will be expanding, climate controlled, and safety protocols. I'm happy I chose CubeSmart storage!

A bad customer service experience with the gentleman in the store has being rectified thank you Mr Andrew Martino (I hope I spelled it right) for reaching out to me from my previous review. It was a honor to get my experience turned around you reached out in a timely manner and handled the mistakes in away all superiors should. Brittany at the Gastonia location was a pleasure! Very friendly and personable. We enjoyed talking and laughing with her as we filled out the paperwork. She made sure we completely understood how to get in and out before she left us on our own. Facility is very clean and secure and the A/C is wonderful!! I was planning on only renting through the summer to house my daughters dorm room but think I’ll keep it long term for extra storage, that’s how impressed I was!

Signed up in 4/2022; got a postcard in 8/2022 hitting me with a $47 increase in the price of my storage unit. It amounts to a 21% increase on my bill. This is the second time they pulled the ole "special offer" scam on me. So much for giving them a second chance. If only they would tell you upfront when and how much the increase would be --because surely they know in advance-- then we could make better decisions, and it could save us all a lot of time. Now I gotta go thru the hassle of finding somewhere else to park my goods. What a mess! But I guess someone has to pay for all the new trees they planted. Disappointed again.

Brandon, who works at the Gastonia cube smart on Linwood Road. Brandon was very rude, disrespectful,unprofessional and likes to provoke his customers and then likes to make a scene in front of people while he is on the phone. He is exposing all of his customers information while he is on the phone talking to his friends that he claims are trainees. I will never deal with him again when it comes to serves or paying my bill. I will not deal with him again. There is a young lady by the name of Bre who is deserving of job because she gives great customer Service.
