The unit i got was $70 when i first got it. that same unit almost two years later is now $205. do not rent here. they don’t value your money. when i told them it was getting to be expensive they told me they’re a “real estate company” and they’re just “following the market”. okay…? the unit is absolutely not worth $205/month.

They don't value your most precious gift (time). I left this facility feeling as if I had been done a disservice. They don't honor their agreements and the district manager, David is unresponsive. In my line of work, I visit about 20 different storage facilities each month. If you are in the Capital Blvd/Downtown Raleigh area in search of a storage facility to conduct business with, it would behoove you to drive past this facility and stop at Public Storage at 1400 Capital Blvd. Ask for Tracy she is honest, willing to go the extra mile and will show you dignity and professionalism you deserve.

The place itself is nice and clean. Very accessible. The gentleman who assisted me was extremely helpful and personable. He walked me to my storage space and showed me a more convenient way to get to my storage via building entrance. We are more towards the back of the building. I’m giving it 3 stars only because when we initially got there, the office was locked. There was a gentleman before me waiting to speak with someone. I travelled all night from Pennsylvania just to pack my daughter up and then make that 8 hour drive back home. Luckily I had a little time to wait, but if I were in a time crunch like the waiting gentleman was, I would be upset as well. My time is very valuable. On your “auction days” consider having a 3rd person in the office. Especially when you know college students are taking their summer break. You may have lost a couple of patrons. Otherwise very smooth transaction. The online registration and app are very convenient.

Most annoying place to ever store your valuables. The lights in this place cut off every 30 seconds.....30 SECONDS and there are NO LIGHTS IN THE UNITS. The motion sensors are very cheap and do not work effectively so be prepared to handle your belongings in pitch dark. I asked about them turning on the lights and for the last 6 months it's been, " we are looking into how to do that " I asked for a unit by a window so I can at least see what I'm doing when I'm accessing my stuff. They said they'd have to charge me for it. You have over 500 units of people paying over $50 a month's and can't keep the lights on???

I was in Raleigh for one day only on Saturday, planning to leave some items at an apartment I will be moving into. At the last second my plans changed and I had to quickly find a place to store my belongings that same day. Andy Tyler was extremely helpful and asked all the right questions to understand my situation. I’ve never rented a storage unit before and the guys at CubeSmart made it beyond easy and very quick – as in, the process probably took 45 minutes from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone, not to mention that the location is superb for anyone living downtown.

Can’t say enough good things about CubeSmart and this location. We last minute booked a unit because our other storage facility wasn’t up to par. The manager was helpful and friendly getting us moved in, and everything went incredibly smoothly. Poor customer service, poor handling of issues, and unsafe facility. We had an issue where a card was declined for auto-billing due to an address change on the card. Within 8 hours (beginning at 4am), 3 attempts were made by CubeSmart (one automated, and 2 from the local store) to get me to pay the bill - including threats of default and lockout. For someone who's had a unit for 2+ years, and a stellar payment history, this is absurd. Their facility has motion-activated lights, except there are multiple aisles where it is incredibly dark, and you have to walk aisles over to get lights to activate - and even then, they don't stay on long, leaving you in the dark again. This creates an unsafe environment when you can't see what's around you. You're honestly better off calling Public Storage down the street where they're excited about you being a customer, and adequately light and secure their facility.

No charts available to use and parking is very bad. Other costumer are allowed to park in the road blocking you from getting to the back side of the building. I called to ask about the rules and the guy on the 1800 line said there was nothing CubeSmart can do about how other costumer act or what they do when parking at the storage units. Other costumer are allowed to do whatever they want. Riding the charts and videoing themselves, playing music in the doorway, block the road so others cant get around, stand in the middle of the doorway blocking others with their boxes.

Brandon the manager at CubeSmart is definitely the man to do business with. Such great professional person who helped me answering all my questions about having storage at this location and also with flexibility of transferring the membership to another city and state made life much easier. Definitely five stars Brandon!

This place is fantastic! I would highly recommend. It is spotless and well maintained. The units and building overall was very clean- I felt confident that my belongings would be safe and secure. Brandon was extremely helpful in organizing an earlier move-in time. He was responsive and pleasant to work with as I secured a space for our move from New York. Highly recommend!

With regards to the staff: Brandon (One of the managers) was really cool. He greeted us with a smile and was extremely helpful. As for the unit and loading process: The 2 loading dollies made moving significantly easier (considering I had a unit on the 1st floor) and my unit was clean! Would definitely recommend Cube Smart for storing purposes! Plus they have free candy

I relocated from Brooklyn to Raleigh and had an exceedingly difficult move the moment my movers showed up in Brooklyn. It became a cascade of unforeseen issues causing me to donated tons of large items of furniture, ship my bike to a bike shop in Raleigh, and ship huge boxes at the UPS. I’ll also add there was a shooting on my block no more than 200’ from where I was loading up my truck. Luckily, the truck was already loaded and I was inside when it happened. But the entire block got roped off while the NYPD conducted there investigation and I had to wait a couple hours until they were done before I could take stuff to the UPS and start my road trip. All of this caused huge delays in my estimated arrival into Raleigh. During my drive down I realized I had a new set of issues with my storage unit. Originally, my plan was to check in the day I arrived in Raleigh and have my movers meet me the following morning super early to get my stuff into storage. Well, my new arrival time put me in Raleigh late on a Saturday evening after CubeSmart closed. Thus, not being able to sign my paperwork and get my keys before the following morning. CubeSmart opens at 11a on Sunday and my movers were set to arrive at 8a! I decided I’d call over to CubeSmart and see if there was anyway someone could meet me for a half hour to sign paperwork. Luckily for me, a lovely woman named Carrie answered the phone. She told me she was covering for the manager who was out sick actually managed a store that was across town. She said she’d check to see if the manager or one of her employees would be able to meet me and she’d get back to me. A little while later she rang me back and said she’d meet me at 8a to help sign my paperwork then drive across town to open up her store! True to her word, she was there at 745a - and this wasn’t even her store!!!! She was so friendly and warm and even took the time to help me pick out a better unit that would be easier for my movers to get in and out of! She was a little ray of sunshine in an otherwise awful move! She has truly no idea how grateful I am for her small act of kindness and customer service! I gave her a big hug before she left because she truly went out of her way to help me when there was no real incentive to do so other than being kind. We need more people who go out of there way for others, like Carrie! Thank you!!!

Awesome Customer Service!! The staff gave me a tour of the facility with detailed information about the operation. I was impressed and decided to secure storage that day. It’s in a great location and very secure.

Loretta and Edward were outstanding! They both worked together to serve me and answer all my questions and help me thru my hardship. They were both devoted to me the whole time. The facility was spotless, all controlled temperature and very safe feeling. The property is massive and they ensure you feel safe in every way. I highly recommend this location and this customer focused staff.

Awesome experience! Carrie, the manager, was a pleasure to work with. She set me up with an excellent unit, showed me around and made me feel comfortable getting in and out of the building as well as my unit, taking her time to help me with what could have been a tricky lock. The building is VERY nice, shiny and new! Over all I'm super happy with my new storage unit!
