Staff is nice Entrances are inconvenient for moving. The prices are cheap and that’s what gets you in the door. They FORCE you to pay for insurance or you have to show proof of renters insurance in order to rent a unit. Other places will allow you to reject the extra cost by signing a waiver to release them of liability. Places such as Extra Space will prorate the rent if you provide a notice to vacate before the month is due. Cube smart does not. I had to pay for the whole month when I called a week in advance and only used the unit for 8 days. So once they take your money for the month you then lose what you paid if you want to downsize to a smaller storage. The money does not get credited over to a new unit even when it cost less. So you pay for a space you won’t use and get charged for something smaller when you no longer need the bigger unit. You’re better off paying the few extra buck with Extra Space or Public Storage. Their customer service is aimed more towards customers and their needs instead of just collecting revenue and increasing metrics like Cube smart.

Both Regina and Christian were PHENOMENAL! They helped me thru the most difficult time in my entire life, offering motherly advice, and a shoulder to cry on! Christian was SUPER helpful and relieved a lot of stress from my day. She took me on a tour of the facility, pointed out the highlights of what was offered for my payment, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. This moment in time for me is particularly difficult because of an unfortunate roommate situation and I can honestly say that I chose RIGHT in choosing CubeSmart. I have reserved my opinion up until now. I’ve been at this location for a little over a year. I currently rent 19 units at this location and I will be taking my business elsewhere asap. Since the change in management things have went down hill very quickly. The old manager was friendly and kept fluid communication. I continue to have the same issue with cube smarts payments and no one seems to be able to resolve it. Despite this being their error they still think it’s okay to repeatedly punish me with fees and ignore the issue. I’ve reached out to cube smart directly who left a message for the District Manager. He of course never responded. Richard (the DM) has been rude to me in person, came to me and confronted me while I was putting my things in my unit which I think is highly unprofessional. He told me my son (18 months now) couldn’t be there. I don’t have ample childcare options. He never once thanked me for my business, just talked down to me and went down a list of things I was doing incorrectly. At one point I had 27 units here, now I’m down to 19 and will continue to empty my units. I will be taking my business to Extra Space Storage and Public Storage because while their rates are higher I’ve never had payment issues with them, nor have I had the manager be so rude to me. Lastly I will say that the lady in the office Christian has done an amazing job and takes her job so seriously. She takes pride in what she does and is one of the reasons I stayed when I signed up. She is proud of the storage center she works at. Unfortunately they don’t allow people on site to do anything asides from the bare basics so problem solving is not on their level. Also as with many storage places your rates will go up at least 25% in 4 months or so. No they won’t give you a discount or a break even if you rent the entire place and yes they will continue to raise.

I originally posted a 5 as the facility is great as well as the ladies that work there. Christian had gone above and beyond for me many of times; but she doesn’t promise anything that she can’t deliver. This still holds true even though I changed the rating to a one at no fault of her or the rest of the on-site staff, the owner, the pricing, or the facility. All those things and people are 5-Star, so it’s why I change it back. I then changed it to a 1 star because DM does nothing but lie. He will say things like “the owner is local” and “the owner drives by all the time.” mean how are you in management demonstrating this unethical business practice all the time. This is just a few of many examples; but it’s an easy one to prove just by going to the State of Ohio’s business search page. Oh and let’s not forget my favorite, “the owner doesn’t care about your business or your money.” He literally led a conversation with this before I could even say a thing or had a clue what he was talking about. I have met the owner and talked to him in person. Something had to be approached differently and we brainstormed ideas and he also made the effort to come up with solutions not just point out problems. I think he is interested in everyone’s business. If he travels here from out of town because this is his business, well my gut tells me he is in business to make money, so I don’t know why according to Rich he wouldn’t be interested in it. Tell me something I don’t want to hear for the right reasons instead of lying to me blaming someone or something else that has zero resemblance of the truth. It could be slightly understandable if it were a one and done and just to me, but it’s a regular occurrence and to others as well. I have met the owner, and he seemed to be a great guy. He seemed genuine, nice, reasonable, matter of fact, and honest person. I felt it only right to return the 5-Star rating. I won’t let Rich ruin it for the girls or the owner; and he no longer rains on my parade!!! Sorry, I let one person overshadow the big picture. Indeed a 5 star facility, a 5 star owner, and most importantly a 5 star on-site staff.

Very nice storage unit… but need more carts! It took me 10 min to locate one. As nice as this facility is, you all should have a designated spot that’s easy to locate…. Maybe near all the entrances. It’s very time consuming to have to walk around. The facility is HUGE. Be prepared. I’ve talked to a few people and they have said the same thing!!! NEED MORE CARTS!!

The facility is a far departure from renting an outdoor unit. The trade off is not being able to drive directly up to the unit, but, since I won’t access my unit very often, this is not an issue for me. The prices are better than other places I checked. I rented two units from the facility in Springdale ohio. A 10' X 20' and a 10' X 10'. I spent over $300 to rent both units. They appeared to be nice but not the case. I requested a move out and refund three days after I moved in from the manager who never got back to me. The day of the move, one of the other employees said they were contacting their boss about pro-rating the rate because I had only been there seven days. I was even told the refund was being processed. Then I get a message from the manager that the DM said after 5 days he us not obligated to give any refund. This is not in the contract. When they were confronted they could not even give me an explanation or a number to the corporate office. I had to locate it on Google. The corporate escalation desk claims I will hear from the VP Tom Black in 48hrs. We will see. Worse place I have ever dealt with. Horrible customer service and could care less about people. They are just out to make money. I will be posting every where they advertise.
