This has to be the worst storage I have ever used. It is very dirty. I have found human poop and urine in the stairwell several times and this is the stair well we are forced to use because the elevator has been broken for 2 months and I have been here for less than 4. It has terrible lighting and the motion sensors only work if you walk all the way to the end of the hallway and it gets extremely dark in there so I had to purchase some extension cords so that I could plug up a light to see in there. Mind you I pay $210 a month. They recently sent me a letter stating my unit will be going up to $253 and I haven't even been here a full 4 months yet with 2 of the months not having access to the elevator to get out. This has been the most tramatic experience I have ever had with a storage unit.

My recent experiences with this location has been one of the worst I have ever seen out of a storage facility. For one - my unit was on the fourth floor, which is what it is, but the facility’s only elevator became suddenly out of order without any communication from the company. It’s very inconvenient for everyone involved, especially for people with units in higher levels like mine. But sometimes things happen so I wasn’t too upset at first. After a 5 week period of coming and going with various items since I just recently moved and trying to organize my new place - the elevator has yet to be fixed with any notice on when it plans on being fixed. There is also only one dolly which was often missing so most times I had to spend hours to move one thing at a time up and down four flights of stairs. Thank god I am physically able to move things up and down stairs but it often took me hours each trip that shouldn’t have. It’s not fair to people who aren’t able to walk or physically carry their items by themselves to not have a working elevator or accessible dollys. I think it is absolutely terrible to pay over $100 a month for a unit that has no dollys, no working elevator, and in a disgusting scary location. This whole situation has forced me to terminate my lease with this storage unit sooner than I would have if these items were accessible to me since I pay each month for them to work. The bare minimum. I highly recommend not wasting your money at this Cubesmart location. Worst place ever.

Absolutely terrible. Have used this facility for over a decade thru 3 owners and Cube Smart is the worst. First, they have leased almost all the parking spots so during the week it is common that you cannot park to access your storage unit. When you can access they have 1 hand cart for the whole building, lights that work sporadically, access doors that work sporadically, and a parking lot that is filthy. Then they charge you a fee to pay online. Use any other option if you can.

I have a few friends that use this facility and they have had no issues. There's access for large items as well as an elevator to make traversing each floor easier. Handicap access is a plus as well. Overall, I would recommend this facility to people looking for storage availability in the downtown area.

Dead Mice and droppings everywhere! We stored our daughters furniture over the summer between off campus apartments. In 3 months mice ate a hole through her mattress, chewed through a plastic storage container and had babies in her clothes, ripped up her head board, mouse droppings on every surface. We had to put almost everything in the dumpster. When we notified management they told us to contact the 3rd party insurance company that they made us pay extra for. We supplied details and pictures of all the lost items to the insurance and they denied our claim on the grounds "vermin damage is considered wear & tear". After spending $$ for storage we had to replace all the furniture we bought new last year.

If I could I would give 0/10 stars for this company. Everything I was told on my first initial phone call was a lie. The second time I had to call back I got an unpleasant attitude from a different employee. During the second phone call I was also informed that when renting a parking space from this facility it is not safe to leave your car there over night because it’s not a gated lot. Then what’s the point of paying close to $100 to store a vehicle that may or may not be safe?! If anyone is looking for a storage facility for their vehicle with reasonable pricing, good service and accurate information I recommend “Simply Self-Storage” in the Reynoldsburg area.

I secured our unit online and the whole experience was easy and exceeded my expectations. I did not expect a welcome package, the lock already in the unit for us and the easy instructions on how to remove the Cubesmart lock and return it so we could use ours. The only Self Storage company I've had any experience with, but I can say that it's much better (staff/management) than it was 3 years ago when I 1st considered them to be an option and opted not to. Customer service is not the best. There's miscommunication between the store and the system. I was told one thing from one person and something different from the next person. I made a payment and had them update my payment detail in the system and it turned out to not be update and I was charged an additional $110 for a error of Cube Smart because they were charging the wrong card and not the new update card from Oct. If I didn't need this storage unit and it was the day before Christmas I would move out. Thanks

Horrible. No parking. All the spaces sold. My unit was broken into and they did nothing. They over charge and raise your rates year after year. I started out a little over $100 and in February, it’ll be up to $190 something. I have protection on my units and they told me I did not. Just let someone waltz in there and steal my tools for my business. Then told me I had no insurance but that they thought they knew who did it, but did nothing. By telling me I didn’t have protection, I couldn’t even report my losses. Again…the ONLY good thing about this place is one woman who works there and her name is Frankie. She needs to be recognized for a job well done but I highly doubt they will. This place is awful.

The stairs smell like urine, there is an alarm that goes off constantly, high pitch in basement. And there is no light in storage area so can't see anything in your storage. Location is great and staff are very friendly. Just don't get unit in basement

I've been at this location for 3 months now and must say that it certainly has many advantages of being in the downtown area. It is very close to home and is within walkable distance walk. Manager Steve has been very accommodating and helpful with the transition and moving of my belongings. He's always reachable and very communicative. The facility appears to be very well-kept and updated even though it's a relatively older building. The only downside of this facility is that it does have limited gate hours and it does not have access anywhere but one side of the building. I would highly recommend this facility to other people that I know who are seeking a storage facility in the Columbus and greater columbus area. .

Worst customer service call center ever. I was $10 short on my bill and they said they dont take any type of partial payment. So I let them know what day I was going to be able to pay which was 3 days later and now I have a $20 charge on my account and they cant explain it or remove it. And the online system is not working to give me a break down of my account. Save your time uhaul has better customer service so does budget and public storage and the prices are cheaper.

During my first inquiry/visit about storage, I was greeted by the delightful Frankie Meyers. She helped me figure out the best option for my needs. She bent over backwards to make me feel important as a customer and got me the space I needed. The building is older (originally built in the early 1900's) but they are continually doing updates. Had a storage unit for two years here. I was made to pay for a full last month despite being out within 24 hours of said month's start. Water damage to some boxes, though I expected as much considering it was an outdoor unit and it was there for quite a while. They apparently store vehicles on the lot but have no designated spots for them so there was barely room for a moving truck by my unit. Also there was a woman clearly living out of a unit a few doors down watching us, which made storing valuables in my car (which had to be parked a ways down given all the vehicle storage) a sketchy experience. Highly recommend another company if only for their policies on pro-rating rent. No one plans their move around a storage unit's bill cycle.

Awful Manager. While outside in a smoke break, the Manager (I found this out later) started screaming at me for parking my car in a marked Cube Smart spot (#2) and that the spaces are for paying customers. I ignored her because I thought she was just another crazy homeless. Image her surprised when I went into the door of cubesmart.... I quickly left because there was a sign on the locked inner door that said they would be back in 15 minutes. She humbly approached me and said that she was the manager (poor hiring choice) and asked if I needed anything. I again ignored her and drove off. Why would I want to do business at a location where they hire such an ignorant person? I took my business to a competitor.... I suggest you do too.

I've had a cube with this location 7 months now. I originally rented at 10x10 cube thinking that it was going to be difficult for both my boyfriend and myself to combine our homes when I moved into his condo. Fortunately it was not! Ms. Frankie was amazing when I rented my 1st cube and even more amazing when I came in randomly on a Sunday and asked can I downsize to a smaller unit on that day. The transaction was smooth, even if she felt it was not! I've had storage units with other businesses in the past and this has by far been the best decision that I've made while choosing where to store items that do not fit into our home.

I needed a small unit quickly and was able to reserve it online. When I arrived, I worked with Frankie and she showed me several different options. I ended up getting a unit that fit my needs a bit better than the one I originally reserved. I was able to book the unit and move my stuff shortly after. Here's the deal, a room is a room. That's fine. But the constant rate changes are ridiculous. Especially when you factor in all the changes they make without notification. Access hours changed. When moving things in and out and all of a sudden you can't get back in. Also let's talk about the elevator that has been in "repair" for the better part of a year and no sign of workers at any time. Shotty repairs to the building are also a hilarious endeavor. Just take a look at those concrete steps in the access side of the building for any indication of what the work inside would be. We'll be leaving the unit soon.

Convenient for downtown living. Thelma, Cassandra and Wanda have all been extremely helpful in showing us the ropes. We chose this facility because it's loading dock is "van accessible" - exactly what we needed. Plus freight elevator (from another century - takes a little lesson) and dollies for customer use.

Had to use this facility to keep my belongings after my apt had an issue. What started as a really hard situation turned into a relief. Cassandra was exceptionally helpful and was perfectly knowledgeable. She showed me the layout and was very professional! Great business, easy access, secure and reasonably priced RIGHT DOWN TOWN!
