I only put one star because you have to put at least one star to start this. the lady that works there, Fanta, is so rude and doesn't care about the customers one bit. almost $10k worth of tools and some very sentimental things was stolen out of my unit and she shrugged her shoulders and said 'it's not cube smarts problem'. they broke in through the hallway ceiling and into my unit cause everyone's unit is exposed from the hallways.

When I arrived to finalize my reservation and rental agreement the doors were locked. Someone eventually came to the door and she told me she was on her break and to come back in 30 minutes. I was on a time crunch and didn’t have time to wait, so she told me to finalize my rental online through the app. Very unprofessional, but the storage space itself is clean.

I have had a unit at CubeSmart for 6-7 years.. The new manager was very nice. I would have to rate my current experience a 2.5. The unit & the building interior is extremely dirty with leaves & debris coming in through the back of the unit. I am very concerned that my possessions will be damaged.

I paid to have a “climate controlled” unit, that was a joke!! All it was , was a storage unit not directly exposed to the elements of the season. I had to throw out several personal items-some which held a sentimental value-due to mold and mildew. My other issue was the storage door. I had to battle, each time I was there, keeping the door open. I made the manager aware that the door was not remaining open and his only solution was to change units, which was not possible for me. The manager would not negotiate to right the situation. My last issue was the continuous price increases. The rate at which they were increasing was ridiculous. Upon asking what the increase was based on, the answer was “when our rates increase, your rate increases”! I asked, being that I have a faulty door and have to fight with it to remain open, can I have a reduction in my rate? The answer I received was no. This place was unapologetic. The aftertaste was them more concerned with the money rather than working with their customers. I was happy when I was able to move my items so that I did not have to deal with this company.

Wish I could give zero stars. Our unit was broken in to while we were out of the country. Site management could not or would not communicate via email and photos. We had to wait until we returned to the US almost two months later to review the condition of our belongings and to try to catalogue what we'd lost. BTW, the value of what we lost was well in excess of the basic $2K of insurance offered. Site management customer service was cold, impersonal and lacking in empathy. We asked for some consideration on the two months of rent for our violated belongings. And we were told simply, "No". Not even making a pretense of going to bat with Corporate on our behalf. The site manager could not be bothered. I believe the facility's "No Contact" method of renting - specifically, of leaving a cylinder lock is a vacant unit - helped the thieves carry on their effort to steal all of our belongings over a course of several weeks. So, we are leaving due to 1.) Poor site security; 2.) Disinterested site management with poor customer service skills; and 3.) A corporate rental policy that allows access to units without having renters identifiable to management.

I would give this place zero stars it possible. I was paying a decent price for 5 months, I wasn't ever late on a payment. Come the 6th month they hiked my rent up 63% due to "keeping up with the price of the market". There's no reason for that. That's not how you maintain a good customer base and get people to recommend your company.

Customer Service: Poor Facilities: Moderate Price: Reasonable.... at first. Facilities and grounds are acceptable. Their climate control isn't the best we've experienced in the business. Overall a decent storage place. HOWEVER, be wary of the way this company conducts business. They raised the rate our monthly rate by 63% as soon as summer hit. We went in to discuss the unusually high price hike and were met with runaround excuses and corporate responses. I understand price hikes happen, but 63% is just absurd. At the end of the day, this is a month to month rental, and they WILL exercise their right to raise the monthly rate and aren't willing to compromise in order to keep your business. Keep this in mind when deciding to store here.

The store manger (mike). This was my 3rd time back at cubesmart on mores rd Columbus Ohio. And every time I was there mike has been the manger on site. I like the fact mike is always there during open hours. And if you needed anything he took care of it. Mike made it very pleasant and comfortable to rent a storage from cubesmart. It’s always clean and I felt my belongings were always safe there. I had no problems all 3 times I have been with Cubesmart. Thank you Cubesmart again.

We moved out of storage unit on 8/27, but had already paid for Sept rent. I have been trying to get our Sept rent back, and to date, they still have NOT issued the refund. I always have to call back to see about the refund since the manager Mike doesn’t do any follow ups with the customer. The answer is he’s reached out to HQ, and waiting on them to see where my refund is. Poor customer service. Why is it taking sooo long to get my refund? I can’t call HQ myself; always have to go thru Mike. It’s been 3 months and I’m still waiting on a refund. PLEASE ISSUE MY REFUND or I’ll contact Attorney General.

I’m very disappointed with CubeSmart. My husband and I rented out a 10x10 climate controlled storage unit. 5 months in they raised our rent rate by $40. When I called customer service they transferred me to the site where I was hung up on. When I called again, they told me they sent out w notice to us in June via mail of the rent change (note it says in your lease they can change your rate at any point as long as they provide 30 day notice) low and behold we NEVER even got wind of this notice, nothing vial mail or email. I was told someone would reach out to me and never heard from anyone. We ended up moving our stuff out yesterday. I do not recommend using them at all.

I helped my niece get her furniture out of storage and all her items were mildew. She had a climate control unit and the unit seems to have had a leak. It was very disappointing, I just hope the insurance pays for the damage ??

I was a customer for years and then we fell behind during the pandemic. I tried pay what I owed online, but they said I had to pay in person or over the phone. When I tried to call no one ever answered. I wasn't able to drive up there, especially not know if they were even open, so I kept calling and leaving messages to have someone call me back. I even called customer service and he left a message on my behalf as well. Long story short, the payment kept increasing, no one ever called me back, the unit was sold... I would expect for them to try harder to collect their money from someone who was eager to pay it off, but the only person who could take my payment (the office manager) didn't seem interested. I doubt they got much for what was in there anyway. I think it would have been in their best interest to keep me as a customer.

Just say NO to cube smart. Update: I moved from cube smart after my 107.00 storage unit was raised to close to 300.00 a month--for a 10 foot unit.i wrote this review when it was 230.00 and they pushed it up yet again. This company is one of the greediest storage centers you could possibly fall victim to. Not only will they raise your rates every time someone else moves out of their own storage unit, but they will charge you exorbitant "late" fees on the 2nd day it's due. They don't take payments over the phone, and most of the time their office is locked so unless you can remember your exact to the penny storage fees, you won't be able to leave a check in their Dropbox. The only alternative is to call their 800 number and wade through a litany of voice prompts to try to find someone who will then look up the amount you owe. If you cant remember your storage unit they cant take your payment. This is the best way for cube smart to make sure you're A-day late or even an hour late so they can charge you a $40 late fee! Our company rented a few storage units and at one point was spending $600 a month with cube smart. Do you think as a long term renter we might get any break or be rewarded or treated as such? Nope. This company has raised the rate of 1 of our smallest storage units over 00% since we 1st moved in. 100% folks! That means that a storage unit that cost a $100 when we rented it now cost $230 a month! Its supposed to have electruc but has none. Cube smart will not discount for lack of electric but instead hikes the rate up every other month. And this is all because when people move out of the other units, cube smart makes their existing renters pay, in turn screwing their long term renters.They are an absolute sham of a business and they really should be ashamed of themselves. Having their office door locked, not being available locally by phone to give you the amount due and not accepting card payments over the phone make it difficult for folks to pay on the exact day due. You could sign up for auto pay which then you wouldn't notice the constant amp up of their fees based on OTHERS moving out. Well after being a trusted client for 3+ years we are done with Cube Smart. The utilities won't disconnect during the shut down. The mortgage co are allowing grace on payments. The typically greediest of the greedy have made allowances due to the shut down and how difficult it is for people to get out. But not cube smart. Not only are their doors locked consitantly but they are right there on the hour to charge you a 40.00 late fee if your even a day late on your storage unit. They did this to me this month and last. Cube smart you are asking for a class action suit: make it impossible for people to pay their bill, hike your monthly fees, not staff your phone or office and charge a 40.00 late fee all during the virus when it's difficult enough for people to drive places to make in person payments. Cube smart you truley suck. Just don't give these greedy bstrds your money. Anyone moving out of their units will cause cube smart to overestimate the value of Your unit and they will hike your rate without notice. $100.00 to $230.00 in 2 years = criminal.

We keep our personal belongings at this location, and the service is nice. It's an keypad entry so your stuff is secure. From time to time we may make a late payment a day or two late. ***update finally a resolution to all the issues with this particular store, Monica has gone above and beyond to rectify all issues and create a workable relationship between customer and company. We appreciate her honesty in accepting that the ball was dropped and we accept her gesture to make it right this is the cube smart we know and we love it shouldn't have to come too bad reviews to get a company to have great customer service... This store has Repeatedly let our family down over the past 6 months, as soon as we can we will be moving our stuff to a competent and professional storage facility. Started one month after we moved in we noticed water we were informed someone would be out to repair it nothing we waited n waited we are living between 2 states and they knew this we can not always be on site so we added their insurance on our unit plus purchased our own outside insurance we come back and new manager is there and was not informed of any issues we then notified the new one n sent pictures of water we were then told to file an insurance claim n put a tarp over our stuff . We did but when I spoke to insurance they said because the company had been informed of the issue they will not cover damages because nothing was done to prevent it..we informed new manager they told us they would correct the issue and to check back I called several times n they said they we're working on the issue I came back to the unit from another state again and nothing had been resolved gutter still damaged roof still damaged and water sitting on the roof of our unit, new manager #3 again had no idea of the issues she herself took pictures said she would notify the appropriate people she again said put a tarp on it and contact insurance I advised her we did that before she said well at least put a tarp on it we will get it fixed within the next week or so.. two weeks went by more rain more water inside the unit we notified her again that we are still getting water took pictures gave her pictures she took pictures said pls put tarps on your stuff and we will credit you one month. I then contacted corporate and instead of calling me back they just reserved a new unit call back left me a message said move in you have one day and you'll have to come in and sign new paperwork and pay for the new unit my old unit set up on auto pay so it was already coming out I told her there's no way we could get it done in one day we live out of state and travel back and forth I called corporate again district manager called me said no take all the time you need you can use the truck we have on premises you'll be credited and you won't have to pay anything for the new unit. I explained that our unit was already set up on auto pay and already came outshe advised us that we would just get a credit and a transfer set up so no money would come out so on the 5th we showed up sign the new paperwork new manager had no idea what was going on said she can't give us a credit now because the district manager doesn't allow it. We move the unit in one day by ourselves because she was not made aware that we were allowed more time or made aware that we could use the vehicle wanted to charge us $39 for 4 hours so we walked it from one unit to another with two dollies. upon moving we discovered after we put all our stuff inside the new unit the lock was broken manager on duty said I don't know what to tell you that's the unit they said to put you in she said you'll just have to move again or leave it the way it is we can't lock our stuff this way my husband said fine how do we get a new lock she said I don't know unless you can take the old one off the old unit and put it on your new unit so now my husband is there maintenance man. This is completely unacceptable from a company and considering I've been with CubeSmart for 10 years in several different state this is the worst CubeSmart I have ever dealt with three managers in 6 months and a district manager who has no idea what's going on with her company.. worst ever do not use CubeSmart on Morse road Columbus Ohio

Staff is awesome and cut me a super deal spur of the moment-- don't bring a lock just buy theres-- it doesn't take combination locks or regular "loop key" locks...the ones they have on site are like 6-11 dollars ( i know i can't remember and would rather tell you more than less so you are prepared) and they are simlar to the ones you see on cash registers but bigger-- you keep the lock when you leave the storage place too

I had a bad experience with my unit (climate controlled unit). It rained and it flooded and NO HELP AT ALL. Informed the staff about the problem multiple times and 4 weeks later nothing happened and is about to happen. I am paying for the unit that is of no use to me. Overall, the staff in the office are very friendly but they couldn't help out.

Super easy and quick process. Both ladies working there were extremely nice. The first month was free, which helps, because you're still buying some furniture covers, and there's insurance and an initial fee. That being said, they could have charged a million dollars, and it still would have been an overall pleasant experience. I was very surprised by the experience.

Thelma is awesome!!! Actually she deserves a 100 for 100% satisfaction!!! I had gone to an appointment previously this morning at a competitor and in one day the price had gone up by $60+ on a unit that I had reserved by computer. Consequently I walked out of there very angry and started making calls. I reserved 1unit at CubeSmart and the gentleman at their corporate office was very helpful, but not as helpful as Ms. Thelma on Morse Rd. Thank you so much for saving my day and making my move much earlier!!

I went into CubeSmart only two days before my planned move. I met Izzy whom treated me with a warm friendly smile. Izzy took me out in the extreme heat to show me units. Izzy listened and knew exactly what I was searching for. The entire rental deal was quick and painless. I feel that my belongings are in a good convenient place. I definitely will recommend Cube Smart to my friends.

My boyfriend and I had a really pleasant experience with the customer service reps at CubeSmart on Morse. We reserved a unit online through another website and they quickly followed up and let us know it was being held for us. When we went to sign the paperwork and move things in to the unit, they helped us get a lock for it, set up our pin code to enter the premises, and we overall just very sweet. It looks to be a clean facility (landscaping and as far as the actual units go). We've had no problems with the gate. They let us know about the "free" moving truck (not actually free, but it's only a ten dollar fee and you have to fill back up the gas tank, which to me is still a great cost). The storage lockers themselves have pretty high ceilings and you have the option of a climate controlled or outside locker. The only downsides I see: - There is a standard fee for insurance for the locker which we weren't told about when we reserved it online. - It is located on Morse Rd, which is pretty busy. Trying to turn left out of the place is difficult because it's 4 lanes of traffic (potentially more depending on where you need to go) that can be really hard to time it right, or it's just plain impossible during the busier times and you have to turn right when you can and turn around somewhere. Obviously though, this is something they can't help. I appreciate the great service we received and am happy to rent a storage space from this location.

Facility was the right price and location. The manager, Izzy, was great. Only reason I didn't give this facility a 5 star rating is carts are hard to find and it is a bit of a maze to navigate. Would be nice if they gave a map or color coded system to make it easier to find your storage unit. Overall great experience. Cube smart will be my first place to check for storage going forward!

Patsea and Izzy were amazing! They were able to accommodate my needs for a storage unit on such a short notice due to moving. The rate for a month was cheaper than what I would need to pay for a rental truck for 3 days. Overall I'm satisfied and would definitely recommend this site for your storage needs.

Tim was awesome from the moment I walked in the door. He greeted me promptly and finished working with the customer in front of him quickly. I was already wowed by his professionalism then he gave me a free pack of gum! Units are clean, well lit and secure. Price is very good as well. Got a 10x10 unit which was big enough to fit a nearly full 16 foot moving truck.

Tim was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we got the best unit to accommodate our needs. We often see him out and about on the premises which is reassuring because that means he is not sitting around in the office all day, which makes us feel reassured that our stuff is secured and watched. So far I have had an excellent experience. Staff was friendly, place is clean. Reservation was made online and a call back on the same day to confirm my reservation. Prices are a tad higher then other storage units but based on reviews and services the storage facility offers, its worth the tiny increase. I have no worries about leaving my hhgs in a storage unit at this facility.

I absolutely love the clean crisp interior units--and they have electric--and they are first month free. The office is big and comfortable and Tim is a gem. I stopped in as a recommendation from someone who rents here and I ended up renting on the spot because of how clean this unit is. I moved my old unit here and have set my new unit up as an organized exterior space for my off season items and home goods. The interior units are bone dry and I know I won't have any issue with dampness or odor as I've had with other storage facilities. This cube smart even has a moving truck that they allow you to use to get your things moved in. They are a cut above. I'm coming from public storage ( orherwise known as Piece of Shite) where the corporate office raised the rates consistently without telling you. My rate went from 90.00 to 135.00 in several rate hikes that I wouldn't know about because I was set up as auto bill pay. The P'S staff always ask to set you up as auto pay so you won't notice these price increases. This isn't the way to keep your customers. So I moved to stor all on 5th and while they are very nice I felt the price was really high for a unit that had no electric no light and the traffic getting there was a drag. All the reasons you hated your last storage facility for you wont find here. The Morse road location had a great price on a huge storage unit, has electric, is temperature controlled and is super clean. I love it. And they have a selection of full size candy and gum on the front desk that is free for their clients. Instead of keeping my extra stuff in boxes and totes I've been inspired by the space i rented at CS to utilize shelving and closet racks to store my stuff. It's like having an extra apartment to keep your nice off season things.

T. Jones was very friendly & took the time to answer & explain to me the discount & the promotions that is going on. he even asked me to do it only to get another 15% discount online. One of the issue i have is that we cannot bring our container to load at the premises. is an issue to me even if you have a large numbers of stuff to load to a container you will need to rent a truck from them or u-haul and move them to where ever your container is at. that bother's me because i have load a container at the premises before which made it easier for me and that actually prompted me to go back and rent from them again. (That was when it used to be Mini Storage) Either that that i really Love putting my stuff at Cube Smart.. The facility is Very Clean...

Great knowledgeable staff and overall good experience setting up a storage unit. I felt the military discount was rather extensive to get though, most places an active duty Mil ID will qualify but here the unit commanders number and name as well as base address was required among other information. While I understand the need for this in today's society of people lieing for a discount it felt rather overbearing and extensive for a standard military discount. Despite that my experience was still great with the staff and I felt the unit was perfect.

When you get down to is, a space is a space....... although the competitors just down the road came with four legged rodents at not extra charge. The CubeSmart facility was the cleanest. However, the difference is in the people you have to deal with. These guys were easy to work with, helpful and friendly. I also have a big truck and the drive ways between buildings was nice and wide, they didn't try to jam in an extra row of buildings.

Noticed this location was a new build 10+ years ago and have been storing my car here for 2 or 3 months in the winter every year, Usually they can offer a discount or promotion. It's been kept very clean and I like this location. Thanks Hal and Tim for the excellent and fast service this year in 2016.
