Since CubeSmart took over from Monroe Store and Lock they have raised the rates every year. Not at the rate of inflation but in large leaps. The gate was also inoperable for a couple of months this last year and my complaints were met with excuses. I was paying for SECURE storage and not getting it. This last price increase led me to another storage company.

Easy and convenient to move into. Good location right off the highway and fairly priced. I park two vehicles at the facility. I work out of state often and was had questions about the vehicle parking policy. Brittany answered all my questions and was just great. Super helpful and very nice. Water issues the week after we moved in and continued the ENTIRE stay. Management is a joke!!! Only solution was for ME to put more money out of my pocket!! They promised to fix it……never did. The security gates broke the weekend we moved in and are still broken to this day. Stay away from here

We rented a few units at the Monroe Ohio storage facility. The office staff on site are very friendly. However we were given a rate that the girl swore would be locked in till November 2022. That was not the case. Our rent doubled in price. We rented in May, by July it was double by October it was triple. We had a bad leak in one of the units and we lot a lot of merchandise. They wouldn't take care of it even though we pay for insurance with them. We had to give over our keys so they could go in and fix it. So the tool box I had went missing right after all that. They won't do anything about it because no one knows what happened. The facility is not kept up, the lots are full of dips,and potholes. When it rains there are ponds. The gate doesn't work so it stays open all the time. They have cameras but they don't always work. The doors were recently painted red as well as all our locks but that is all they did..The gates have been messed up since before we got there in May of last year. And they unfortunately find excuses for Everything.the Units we had are not true to size There under. We are pulling out of our last unit. Paying almost $400 a month is ridiculously expensive for a storage facility that can give e a hoot about their customers or the facility itself. Don't respond to me telling me to send my concerns to an email. Since you have a generic message for all negative reviews proves to me that you don't truly read each individual message.

Since 4 years ago...when cube smart took over the facility I have been renting from for 15 years... My rent has doubled the driveway has fallen apart and not been repaired cameras have fallen and been taken down so that there is no security no security the gate is left open all the time I'm and the only thing they have done is make sure to paint the buildings that didn't need painted so that you could tell they were red tube smart this is the worst rental company I've ever used very unhappy have complained to management and upper management and no one has responded or cared in Anyway I wouldn't even give them half a star They also are never in the office when they are supposed to be so that they can resolve Any problems you have In addition they will no longer take your payment over the phone you have to do it online and if you have more than one unit they will charge you a service fee for every unit you rent so you can give them Thier money.

I've had a double storage unit in that facility for 8 years. It's always been set up for auto pay from my bank. I keep project materials there. Dropped over Sunday Nov 7th to get needed materials for a job. Code did not work. I called. They didn't receive my payment from the bank for the 31st (weekend involved) so they killed my code. It's Sunday, nobody there. Job not able to be completed. I'm looking for a new unit in another location. I DONOT recommend this place. They didn't call or attempt to contact me.Did I mention I've had this space for 8 YEARS? Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This lot is starting to go down hill fast, weeds everywhere, overgrown brush. the brush was getting so over grown that I had to go and cut it out and clean my parking spot so it would not be up against my camper. When addressed with the staff, was told "she is only one person and can't do it all". The gate sometime is wide open for long periods due to it not working, zero maintenance on the storage lot being done. Shame when a large corporation takes pride in nothing but collecting payments.

First experience with storage units. Staff has been courteous and professional. Unit was decently clean when first opened. Security seems robust. Never had an issue with crowding or code issues. Lot could definitely use repaving, as it holds water and is fairly worn, especially towards the back. Pricing could be more competitive, considering there are the same named facilities within a fairly close radius with lower prices.

The girl, Britney is as helpful as she can be, just the best !! BUT, BUT, Cube Smart isn't so smart, NOR on the customers side. The gate in the back of our storage was not working on a Sunday night, WIDE OPEN, and the "smart" sign said someone was available 27/7. Doesn't that mean all the time? Maybe I'm mistaken. No one answered when I called in, so I pulled the gate shut, AGAINST THE ELECTRIC MOTOR, simply because I wanted better security for the night. Now, I cannot wait to move out, they simply DO NOT CARE !

2/3 Storage units are great. 3rd unit has a small pond at the front door and requires waterproof shoes to unload (hadn't rained in 2 days) check out unit before renting. Update: the exit gate is broken so feel free to stop in whenever you want.

They had a good spot. The monthly rent is reasonable. The lot could stand to be picked up a little. But, I'm not sure about security. I've been there twice in the last couple of months and the gate was wide open and didn't close when I left. Today, I went to pick it up and noticed my catalytic converter had been cut off and stolen. I made a police report and called the 24 hour number and notified a rep. Time will tell how Cube Smart handles this.
