I loved this place 4 years ago when I started renting here. It was spacious and beautiful and had great promotional pricing which all together helped me choose CubeSmart over other storage units. Sadly, I will finally be making the switch over to a different storage unit (long overdue) due to the insane price increases over the years. It isn’t just a yearly increase, they sometimes randomly happen every couple of months where we will be getting a notice in the mail of an increase. I started at $110 and now I’m up to almost $350 for my unit. This is insane. If you’d like to save your money I’d suggest finding a different unit that won’t raise prices so drastically and so frequently. I don’t know why I stayed with CubeSmart for so long but it’s finally time to make the change to a place that won’t rob you for storing some of your belongings.

This place is huge! It's pretty clean. Nice staff. It has a bathroom in it which I thought was weird but fantastic if your gonna be there a while. Nice size units. Not sure how I feel about the tops of the units being open with only a netted thing covering them.

I'll give 4 stars for the fact that it caters to our storage needs. The downside is how high our storage price increased after only a few months of renting. We are considering downsizing because of it because it's just too expensive. We solely chose them because they offered the cheapest and it's unfortunate that after a few short months they were no longer the cheapest. Another thing is that the back doors seem to need repairs and they haven't been made. It makes me hesitant on outsiders having easy access to get in because of the damages garage door, especially when we are paying so much, you'd think they'd move quickly to repair things for the customers and make sure no one can easily come through them.

I will be switching to another storage company soon. I went from paying $143 to 200 within a year I’ve never experienced that using storage units. The late fee a unit fee goes up at the same time this company is very money hungry an it’s sad. I hope they paying their employees good the way they stealing an charging customers so much

Increased my monthly rate by over 20% without any notice several months into my storage unit rental. Was told by customer service that they can make periodic rate changes at will. Will be switching storage units as a result of this. Local staff always very pleasant and helpful. Just unfortunate that the business is greedy and dishonest, otherwise I would continue renting a unit there.

Avoid unless you enjoy watching your rent go up about three times in a year. We saw ours go up about $100 in a year and had enough. Do you think that prevented us from finding a mouse in our unit upon closing out? Did rising rent fix the broken garage door which forced customers to share a single entry for vehicles for months on end? Nope! Staff was pleasant though.

Bad customer service, bad business model. I was offered "new customer pricing" as a new customer but because my spouse was an existing customer, they flagged my account the same day...right after me moving my stuff in for "promotional abuse", After they accepted my payment of course. The communication is not clear nor is customer retention a priority. We too own real estate but please choose another facility if you are looking for a quality experience. You're just a number here. The desk staff is nice but very underinformed when deal with clients.

My issue with Cubesmart and the app is that it won't allow me to pay pmts in a breakdown. As long as I have a current account I should be allowed to make partial payments up to due date to help break down the bulk pmt and I can't even pay in store for pmts. My income is set up in 3 direct deposits of which I could pay a little at a time. To avoid a large bulk pmt all at once. And it's a high pmt

The reason for my 1 star is that CubeSmart doors are always broken like someone maybe trying to get into the facility. Second the amount of mouse / rat traps around the inside and outside of the facility was a turn off. Third the dust and dirt that was on my property for the 5 months I had the storage unit. The fourth is that I contacted CubeSmart via email to find out the departure policy and when my next bill arrived it was $30 more, no information about rates going up on a certain date just an increase. Then when I contacted then they CLAIMED they mailed out a notice BOGUS. I requested just like my monthly bills be emailed to me, so why would I always get my statement emailed and not this letter if I prefer email notifications. Fifth thing is that people who were renting units would throw their garbage inside the loading area inside the facility, too lazy to take it with them to dispose of. One star was removed for each thing that was not right. This facility was rented sight unseen which was my fault. So be sure to check the property and don't rent sight unseen.

Very clean (but dusty) location. I never felt unsafe while accessing my unit. I never felt that my stuff was going to be ruined or stolen. However, in less than two years my storage rent was VERY close to double what it originally was. I had to give away some of my valuable things because I had no room for them at home, but I certainly wasn't going to pay over $100/month to store less than 5 larger items.

I came to CubeSmart in order to find a storage unit for my parents belongings as they were choosing to move into an elderly community. Upon arrival the sales people greeted me very nicely. I told them about the size I was looking for and they said they had one left and took me on a tour of the facility. They let you reserve the storage unit at no cost even if you opt out. The sales lady I dealt with was extremely nice and extremely helpful in all my questions. I would definitely recommend this place to rent a storage unit as long as the prices were comparable to other places in the area.

It started when I called for information; Sharon was knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and very patient with me and all my questions. Then when I went to the Allentown site, Jaimes was equally courteous, pleasant and patient. The ease with which to load and unload from my car was awesome; I really loved having a little hand truck to load my stuff onto. Also the place is very clean, and the price for a climate controlled unit was ever so slightly more than a non climate controlled unit at all the other places I had researched. I was taken aback by the price of the lock, but it is an astounding piece of technology and after the sticker shock wore off I realized that it is definitely worth the extra money. I can't imagine using a different storage facility after finding CubeSmart!

The staff we communicated with were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. What we stored came back clean and neat . No mold or insects. The only small problem was a contractor working on our new home finished more slowly than planned (Clearly not your fault.) and we wanted to keep the storage for another day or two and only be charged for that time. You said it was not your policy to do so. We were a little disappointed about that because it ended up costing us about $500 in moving fees. But all in all using Cubesmart was a very good experience.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. THEY WILL CONTINULLY INCREASE YOUR RATES. OURS JUST WENT UP ANOTHER 45% IN A MONTH. OUR RENT HAS NOW TRIPLED SINCE WE MOVED IN. They advertise a low price to get you to rent but then continually increase the price of your unit. Our first increase and our unit price went up by 28%. Now with our new increase our units increased by another 40%. And you get zero warning, you just get an ever increasing bill. Instead of keeping loyal paying customers they rather price people out of units. * the we will look into this response from CubeSmart just tells you that they have the right to continually increase the rates. Increasing 28% and then another 40% within a year is absurd. I have had other storage places that do not do this.

Great storage place. Still have not seen the first person in the whole complex. Everything is thru the app and keypads to access. They sell you a lock for 17$ thats unique to the type of door they use. Its temperature control and has two cargo elevators.

The woman who helped me move into my unit was very helpful and answered all of my questions. She gave me a cube that is in a very convenient location. I am happy to be renting with CubeSmart!

Apparently they let just random ppl in your units if they pay for it and still aren't on the lease. The building leaks awful. They don't care about the people renting units from them. I highly suggest not getting insurance from them nothing but a freaking scam. The manager is a rude lady. The new district manager was a very nice gentlemen if he's smart he will move on to bigger and better things he sounds SO MUCH SMARTER then cube smart. My partner and I lost most of his family stuff from his father who has passed when he was a young child due to the leaky ceiling. You will gets farewell notice one day then a few days later you'll get a stupid survey Am I going to get this money that was paid up to January back??? No word about that in any emails!!!

Great storage unit if your looking for something indoors. Only inconvenience is that if other people are in the 3 parking spots to access the building then you have to park outside. Other than that staff is friendly and place is clean and safe.

I am not sure how when I came to post a review about this establishment that there arent more people complaining about this cubesmart. There are bugs and its very unkempt and understaffed. Not to mention the signs posted that it "may be closing". Obviously this store will be closing and they are doing a piss poor job of letting the customers know to make arrangements and or remove their property. Terrible.

In only a week into renting our unit we began seeing cockroaches crawling through our things. The office employees often never even show for work...especially on sundays. A storm dropped 24 inches of snow and 2 days after the snow stopped there was not one cleared path to any of the entrances. Bugs, trash, and a lack of staff. How can I possibly be ok with paying 113.00 a month for a 5×10 unit in these conditions. Only thing I can say positive is that the building once was home to A-Treat. We will be leaving cubesmart and may try uhaul down the street.

BEWARE. THEY WILL CONTINUALLY INCREASE YOUR RATES. OURS HAS TRIPLED SINCE WE MOVED IN. OUR LAST INCREASE WAS 40%. THEY DO NOT VALUE LOYAL CUSTOMERS. They offer a low price at move in with rate increases of 28 percent every six months. So if you plan to rent large units you will be paying more than other places after they continually add to your rent This location also needs better housekeeping. Lately the loading dock and hallways are always dirty with litter, no trash cans provided inside so people just leave stuff on the ground.

Had never heard of this storage facility before but rented a storage unit with them last month. This place is AMAZING when it comes to self storage. The assistant manager was beyond helpful and did an excellent job getting us all set up. I reserved my unit the night before on line. No payment credit card is required to reserve. The unit size I requested was not available but got moved up to a 10x15 unit for 70 with tax and 12 insurance. It's all indoors. Two garage bays to pull vehicles inside and rolling carts to load your items onto to make it that much easier to get to your unit. Get place and price. Right in Allentown in the old A-treat factory. Definitely worth the money.

I decided to use cubesmart because the promotion they offered was a good deal. I liked that the storage units were inside and climate controlled. The garages made it convenient to get things into the storage unit. The gate hours were convenient for me because I was in the process of moving and needed to get in and out a lot until I got settled. One day when u arrived I couldn't get into the building and found the sign posted the building was deemed unsafe and ilegal. We had to be with a Staff member to get in and out. It took weeks to finally pass inspection. The 2 guys working were very helpful and even waited over an hour one night until I could get there to get what I needed. As I started moving things out I noticed a lot of dead bugs in my storage unit and all over the building. A few days later I noticed bug bites all over my arm. Overall I am dissapointed in the companys lack of accountability and willingness to keep their customers happy. I called customer service to make them aware and was supposed to receive a call back but never heard back from them.

UPDATE EVEN THOUGH IM UPSET IT WAS HANDLED VERY WELL. THE GUY WAS VERY NICE IS GOING TO MOVE US INTO ANOTHER UNIT TOMORROW REIMBURSE FOR THIS MONTHS RENT. ALSO GOING OVER WHAT WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDS TO BE COVERED BY INSURANCE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING AND TAKING CARE OF THE ISSUE AT HAND VERY PROMPTLY. Changing my review. After 2 months went to my storage unit and its covered in stuff from the ceiling after all the rain all over my sons clothes led rusted paint chips etc....... Waiting to see the outcome from management. Not happy what so ever far from high quilty. This is and old atreat building other then the built in units themselves walls and ceiling is horrible and disgusting.

The two managers are very quick to call back and provide great service. I worked with Kyle on the day I moved in and he was wonderful. The building is well lit, and very easy to find and access. My unit was delivered exceptionally clean and Kyle definitely went above and beyond to ensure I had a smooth move-in. They have load in bays that can accommodate up to a 26ft truck if people need that. The fact that they are indoor loading areas behind a garage gave me an added sense that they really do value security. The cleanliness of the building really exemplifies their attention to detail and what I hop will be their continued sense of pride in the building. I truly would recommend this place to anyone. The value for the size of the space is hands down the BEST in the area.

I'm so glad that I came to CubeSmart. They made everything easy for me, and the customer service was wonderful. The storage units are very nice, climate control, and they have security locks which you do not need padlocks, just a special key. I would definitely rent from CubeSmart again.
