I reserved online and while I was reserving, the manager called me and walked me through everything. It's was such a pleasure to talk to him on the phone but when I got there the next day to drop off some things he was there and I didn't think he could do better than what he did on the phone but he did. Very convenient online setup… Unfortunately I moved back to Philly from Sunny Florida and the movers drastically over charged us and therefore I had to quickly lease a 10x30 storage space to store ALL of my wife’s belongings… It was a very easy setup remotely and we saved half on the first month…! I want to let everyone know that my recent move-out from the CubeSmart Storage Facility at 456 North Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA went extremely well due to the directions and assistance provided to me by CubeSmart employee Elias Santiago. What I am mainly referring to is the fact that I live in New Orleans and the move-out was conducted by my son and two hired movers, all planned, coordinated, facilitated and directed by Elias Santiago. Mr. Santiago was always extremely pleasant, professional, informative and helpful in dealing with my son, the movers and myself from the beginning to the end. Mr. Santiago listened to my voice as a customer and he exceeded my expectation preferences to the max! As a result, my customer experience satisfaction is as high as it possibly can be! I don’t recommend no one going to the storage unit because I had a $25,000 but my personal items in my storage unit all my kids stuff and my wife stuff and they say they check every day before they close and they say the safest storage unit can’t break it. No one can break in there and when it came down to the point they don’t even have surveillance on the floor. I don’t recommend no one getting this storage unit.

Edited my review from 5 stars to 2 stars because The unit I am in smells god awful like someone died in that aisle. And the siding is open and I can see my stuff Exposed from the outside. It rained and my things got wet. But editing back To 5 stars because they moved to another unit promptly and made sure it was great. Elias the manager is 5 stars! He worked with me to move units and he’s awesome. It’s not his fault that the first unit was not fixed.

After storing here for a year a new manager hired on and things went south from there. This person snuck around the corner to look inside my unit at what I had in there. I was confronted about running a super quiet generator to have my own lights in a 30’ deep unit. Told it was in the rules, corporate confirmed it was not as listed on the site. Could not get a call back with the “rule change” because there isn’t one. I made quite a few friends with other tenants and they have the same thing to say about this new manager. Read the lease closely because you rent will continue to rise the longer you stay there, or until the manager can make up a reason to move you out. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Another unit was cut into and completely emptied. The gate has been stuck open multiple times leaving access to anyone after hours. I cannot stress enough how great of a relationship I had with prior management. First name basis and warm greetings. This person drove me and multiple other tenants out and I will never return.

Customer for years. My credit card on file was replaced when it expired. Their incompetent staff couldn't update the expiration date and security code in their system without the physical card and I couldn't physically go there for a couple months. They charged me all kinds of late fees, cut my lock and put on their own lock and then charged me to remove it so I could move out and cancel. Complete rip off. Update to owners response... Yeah, I emailed you there a couple months ago about the issue telling you I would be moving out if you didn't reverse the late charges. No reply. Oh, and I forgot to mention my stored items were covered in rat feces.

Disclaimer: leaving a second review because I'm having trouble and can't edit my review. Larry is a superstar, really customer focussed, extremely personable and always makes sure things are in order. One time I left my storage unit's lock on my bike and took it to the shop. The unit was unlocked overnight, and Larry calls me the next morning to make sure my stuff is secure; even offering to secure my unit in the case I did forget to lock my unit. He goes above and beyond not just customer service-wise, but security and runs a tight ship there.

Do NOT rent storage at this location or ANY location if you’re concerned about the security of your belongings. I met my mover at my 10x10 unit to move the contents to my new apartment. When we unlocked and opened the door, everything was “turned upside down”. Thieves CUT A HOLE in the back wall of the unit and searched the dozen large storage tubs, stole multiple items, and destroyed a TV and 2 pieces of furniture. The thieves ALSO cut a whole in the side wall to access ( at least) one additional unit. The chain link security fence had previously been breached by evidence of the cheap patch that was applied. Management knew about the breach and applied a pathetic visual patch vs. a heavy duty fix. When this was brought to the attention of on-site management, they did very little. The region manager expressed concern and said he would “try to make me whole”. However, the VP and other corporate executives REFUSED to compensate me for my loss. This Columbus Blvd is unsafe. While other locations likely are, senior management does NOT care about their responsibility to keep your possessions safe nor compensate you when they screw up. There are countless OTHER stores companies you should use!!!

The commercial truck parked next to my van damaged my vehicle when pulling out. Cubesmart claims to have security cameras, but did not review them to show the incident and file a claim against the driver. The parking spaces for large vehicles are too tight, and they offered not support during the incident.

When I started renting a unit in 2016, it was owned by a different storage company. Cubesmart bought that company out, and over the next five years, the price of my unit went up astronomically -- from $180 per month to $330 per month for the same unit. When a climate-controlled storage place opened up literally next door, offering the same size unit for $230, I asked if Cubesmart would reduce the price of my unit, and they said no. So I moved out. I guess this Cubesmart would be OK for something short term, but be warned they are not shy about hiking the prices if you're looking for a longer term arrangement, because they're assuming it will be more inconvenient for you to move out. But making the decision to move out was easy considering I'll be saving $100 per month, my new unit will be climate controlled, indoors, and clean, and the new place is just as convenient a location for me.

The Pandemic As we all are dealing with the pandemic it has caused all of us hardships in one way or the other. My son has his life put on hold as to when college will start in person or on line. We had to move him out of one building and in to another...PROBLEM was time between the move and WHEN to move. The Big QUESTION was WHEN. In the meantime we have all of his stuff and no where to go. Answer ..RENT a Storage until. But not all storage unit places are NOT the same. I decided to stop at cubesmart and met Monica the manager. She made me feel comfortable with what I needed and explained everything and no hidden fees. Turns out the other place I was looking at did not tell me the whole story or the FULL COST. Monica took out the stress of renting a storage unit. She gave me all the instructions and when I arrived to the unit the next day I had a welcome bag ready in the unit with a lock, Just like she said. Thanks again for taking the stress out of renting.

Really impressed with this facility. Incredible customer service from every employee, even over the phone. Needed to store a couple things between moves for a month and they were extremely helpful and detailed with how it worked / what the costs were etc. Great price and had no issues throughout the whole process. Would absolutely recommend this location, Sabrina was lovely.

Incredibly helpful and friendly office staff! We've had a unit at this cube smart location for a couple years now, and we just upgraded to a large unit. The transition was effortless and smooth thanks to Serina!

This self storage is amazing. They attend to problems right away and the maintance gentleman, duwayne white, is the nicest guy. He works really hard and is always kind. He offers be cold bottles of water when I’m working in my unit. The access is easy and you can drive up to your spots. I’ve bern very happy, and I can say 90% of that happiness is due to Duwayne!

We paid $4000 in a year for most of our stuff to be destroyed by water or pooped all over/chewed through by mice/rats. Worst investment ever. Lol and now we cant enter because they changed the password on us when we cleaned out one of our two units-without telling us the new password! Super cool.

Everyone on staff is super nice and helpful. I've had various storage spaces in the past and rarely has the experience been positive. CubeSmart really is different.

Very polite and courteous service, convenient location, and clean area. The only con I believe is that it isn’t accessible 24 hours. My schedule and routine is mostly early in the morning until late in the evening, so by the time I am able to access my space, it’s either not enough time for me to do anything before closing time or it’s already closed. Very inconvenient for me when it comes to access, but otherwise is a great place.

DOES THE CUBE SMART CORPORATION APPRECIATE HOW AWESOME THEIR EMPLOYEE SERINA IS? I was so impressed with the professionalism but also the genuine warmth and caring Serina put into helping me. If my business was in Philadelphia I would offer her a job. The units are clean and they keep the bathroom in the office spotless. So clean I just had to comment. I highly recommend this place

I have never used a storage unit before and have to say i hope they are all as great as this location. The manager was super friendly and helpful with all of my questions and got back to me within the day every time if not within the hour. The space was perfect for my interim needs and would recommend to anyone that needs a space! thanks guys!

Stopped by to sign a lease yesterday. Miguel Melendez was terrific. He was courteous, knowledgeable, fast, and customer-oriented. I was also impressed with Serina (the GM). On a busy day they made sure that my needs were met thoughtfully and promptly. what more could you ask?

Needed short term storage for a trip overseas, these folks were AWESOME! Gary had me setup in short order with a unit that would fit my needs and I had ZERO issues with access and security. Location was awesome and relatively close to the 30th Street transport hub. Great folks, great company, great service!

Horrible The conditions of the Cube smart facility are horrible .Im surprised no one mentioned it. None of the units are taken care of old rusted locks rust on doors horrible all your items will probably get damaged. Not to mention there right by water so expect mold if you stay to long.

Excellent service - clear, transparent and straightforward process and helpful staff. This facility is outdoors, though, so it would be painful to load / unload in winter or during rain. Other Cubesmart facilities (e.g. 777 Mayfair) are cheaper and indoors - but they're far from the city and therefore not as convenient

Kristina, the GM, is a real pro and a great client service rep. She was easy to deal with and quickly changed my unit when the one I reserved had an apparent leak. The ONLY reason I am not giving 5 starts is because the units themselves are dated. This is a Cube Smart managed property, not one of their own. Otherwise, Kristina was great and the rates are perfect.

We only needed storage for a month. The month to month pricing seems fine, but then they require ridiculously priced insurance. It was advertised as about $50/month but in the end we paid $87 for the smallest option.

I had a great experience obtaining a storage locker at CubeSmart on Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA. Kim was very helpful, detailed, and friendly. The entire process was easy and the timing was excellent. I highly recommend this storage facility.

I needed to rent a space just for a while added a addition to my house time to finish up!! But of course we need somewhere to put the stuff while doing the work.. I went to CubeSmart Kimberly helped me she was awesome. Made me feel comfortable 99.9 percent.. very friendly laid back down to earth but all in all professional! She made it very easy for me to pic a unit I needed that was just right for me! Thank u.. The only thing I would say is maybe a little pricing for the size..
