I rented a "Climate Controlled" unit at a higher monthly rate because I don't want my stuff to get moldy. I spoke to the desk person a couple of times regarding the rental and selecting a unit prior to renting. The day we came in to exchange locks and start loading up, we were told we should buy a Damp Rid container for the unit because of the humidity. That's not OK. That tells me that it is NOT "Climate Controlled". We need the unit now. But in a couple of months we will move our stuff to another place that actually can control the humidity inside the units. The office manager was very nice and helpful about everything else.

The price for a 10×10 unit started out at a reasonable rate, now it costs $182.00 per month, that's insane. I'm moving all my fathers stuff out this month! Don't bother to express your disappointment with the price increase because they'll tell you there's nothing they can do to lower the price, all you'll here is blah, blah blah!

Awful experience. I had a storage unit here with my boyfriend for a year. Originally we had a 10x10 because we were moving, and then downgraded to a 5x10. Despite downgrading, our rent continued to raise. We started our 10x10 paying $80 and by the end of the year, our rent for a 5x10 unit was $120. The facility was dirty and had dead flies all over the ground, not to mention mouse traps dated from 2014. The "climate control" area was always freezing, leading me to believe my money was not actually spent on climate control. The staff was always too busy chit chatting to help us. When we went to close our unit, TWO staff members were there helping a woman open her new unit. They made us wait until she was finished, because apparently it takes two people to help one person, meanwhile they just chatted with her. Completely disgusted with our experience, and I will never use CubeSmart again.

Came to RI for a month only and could not find an RV park that was open. (They all close for winter). We found CubsSmart and were thrilled we could get a space for a month to store our RV while we visited and stayed with family. They were extremely nice, gave us a special price they were offering for the first month even though we were only going to be there for a month.
