Disappointing experience storing my stuff here. First off, a neighboring unit’s wall broke into mine and upon repair, they just left everything in my unit covered in saw dust and wood chips from when they repaired the unit. Second, alternating employees. One of them told me they don’t allow customers to sign an abandonment form (surrender the stuff in the unit basically), when you in fact can. Rosa was helpful in getting this done for me. Lastly, too many rent hikes. 3 years there and the rent had doubled.

Recently moved out of my unit after a planned 2 month rental that turned into 3. To close my lease, I tried repeatedly to get a hold of someone at the office through phone calls, emails, website contact forms and eventually had to call corporate customer service to get a response to tell me my lease had been closed because they saw my unit vacated and with no lock. An "un-housed" individual appeared to be living illegally in an adjacent unit when I moved in and he was still there when I moved out. The smell of urine was almost unbearable in my unit as I was moving out. When I was moving in, there was a large hole cut in the chain link fence for him to walk through without being seen on camera. The hole was repaired about a week after I moved in and did not reappear but the individual was still living there. I had initially felt great about renting here since I believe Rebecca had told me the location had been owned and operated by the same family for many years. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and the individual living in the unit literally put a bad taste in my mouth.

It was a delight and refreshing to be greeted by a person and not a kiosk. Rebekah was not only a well spoken person but got us a unit with no hassle and all the paperwork in 20 minutes. She took the time to answer any questions and r met us at the unit and went over any rules and got us a lock. Stopped in to pick up auction stuff, super sweet woman named bekah was working alone there. Very helpful and very procedural. Everything went smooth. The only thing I had a issue with, is ,while I was in the office a random sketchy looking dude pulled in, on a what looked to be stolen bike and was asking her to cut the lock. Since they should have lock cutters. She was polite to him and said she couldn't. Nothing happened but the fact that she isn't protected or allowed to have her own protection is alarming and she was grateful that someone else was there. Felt worried for her. Decent enough area but she shouldn't have to have that worry. She should be able to be armed or have security provided if she chooses. Anyway, yes this place is nice and professional. Thank you bekah

Check in-check out, and accessing was easy. The unit I got stuck with was along the fence line and a huge PITA. They don’t trim the growth so it’s full of bugs, frogs were getting into the units and all in my things. On top of it the units are on dirt roads and they are washed out really bad and full of deep puddles. I originally rented the outdoor unit to store a motorcycle but couldn’t drive it in because of the height difference from ground to threshold and the amount of water sitting in front of the unit. Vacated after 3 months, fairly simple. Wish they had an online option to initiate vacancy.

You will need to go in person to verify the storage unit will fit. I have rented many units and never seen one like this before a 10 x 15 with no roll up door. Entry door not even as big as a front door. Wont be able to get large items in it.

Cubesmart seems to be an excellent place to store your things when you don’t have room! The facility is gated and monitored 24 hours a day and the the grounds are very clean and quiet, set back from the road. The Manager Kathy did an excellent job of explaining everything to me when I came in to sign my lease, and was super helpful and friendly. I would recommend storing with Cubesmart in WA.

I was able to reserve storage space with cube smart ,paying the same amount for half the size at another place down the road. I signed all my documents online and was able to access my unit after hours without having to stop in and sign any papers which save me some time so I’m grateful. Very important if you don’t have the map of the facility you’re not going to find your unit ,make sure you have the map of the facility out and ready to look at when you get there. These storage units are basically set up in a field . Meaning there are no paved roads so get ready to deal with New York size potholes and mud when it rains. Upon entering the unit I was disappointed to see holes in the wall big enough for a human to squeeze through, holes big enough to where I could see other peoples stuff. ?? I did return the lock they initially put on my unit so I came in contact with a very friendly person in the office , that’s a huge plus . It’s also located in a horrible spot go slow entering in and exiting out.

I have paid on time for a while now. This place is horrible I am from out of town. I had to come back to get the rest of my stuff from the unit and had stuff that needed ti be thrown away. I called the office the women was rude and disrespectful and told me they didn't have a trash can for people who pay to use their facility. When I asked her where in town am I supposed to throw stuff away she advised me to use the cookout dumpster across the street. Worst place ever if I could give a ZERO rating I would.

There is no security cameras in place. It bums me that I couldn't pay a pro-rated amount for parts of the month not used. No matter which day of the month that you move in, you have to pay the whole month's amount. Then at the beginning of the next month you have to pay the whole rental fee again.

Putting everything i own here was a bad idea . it was supposed to be under my company but the manager told my office worker it would be cheaper under a personal name .in key west for a job an employee and office manager robbed me , took me off my own account. This unit has stuff of my grandparents. Id love to pay the bill but they will not let me they are going to action off my stuff . my mom tryed to pay it but they will only give 4hours to empty the unit . im in key west onnif i leave ill loose my job. Iv tryed to deal with them several times they say leagle department said not to talk to me all i want to pay bill and continue renting and no one enter unit till im home . sad part is jermy hatcher walked around asking if people wanted anything out of unit for free and office manager did not shut door and she knows me and that it was not his unit . why should i be punished for renting here ? Why should i loose more of my belongings? Unfair

They just want to sell your unit. I had to move away a year ago when I lost my job because of Covid. I tried to keep up with payments for my unit, and when I did, I had my friend and her boyfriend ready to come pick up my stuff, but they said no. I would have to come down from Massachusetts. Since they knew that was not an option, because I'd have to quarantine for 14 days upon returning to MA, they easily sold my unit. My toolbox, alone, was worth what I owed on the unit. Dont rent a unit here! Go somewhere else, unless u don't care what happens to your belongings. Scumbags!

Rats. When brought attention to issue via email, it was originally said they would let the exterminator know immediately and offered me some rat poison. I stopped in days later for said poison, and asked if pest control was notified as stated..... “We have not had any other complaints and the place gets treated each month” was my provided response....so no, pest control was not notified or been out. Clearly a customers belongings being destroyed by chewing and fecal matter is of no real concern. So I reached out to the district help. Was told a district manager would be in contact ASAP. 5 days still no contact from anyone again. Seeing as the tops of each storage bay are open and adjoined to each other, it is a guarantee those rats are using that entire building and likely enture facility. If you enjoy spending well north of $100/mo to have all your belongings ruined, Well this place is for you! Otherwise, save your $ bc you may be better off storing your property in the woods somewhere versus a storage unit that could care less about providing what you pay a storage unit for....a safe clean place to store your belongings without fear of destruction. Let’s do note, that they offer you insurance for your belongings. I purchased this. This insurance will keep you covered for a quote “ sonic boom” but has no coverage for varmints at their facility.

I arrived at the 1977 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC CubeSmart location and I was greeted by Cathy Santelli , Senior Manager who has managed this site for 20 years! Cathy wanted to show me my storage location and make sure it was what I wanted. Cathy and I drove in the golf cart and looked at the site and it was perfect. Cathy then wanted to make sure my gate code was working and that I knew how to operate the key pad. Cathy was very efficient and took all my information in just a few minutes. We continued to converse for a while and then parted ways. This is fairly normal for CubeSmart locations, they take care of business very efficiently and answers all questions. Great location!

The unit itself was a little more low key than initially expected, but the rate was why I picked it. Not at all pleased, I'm already homeless, now I'm about to lose my personal belongings that I have left, so i call to make a payment on my storage onlyoto find that because im late with june and july (mind you its only july the 17th how can iipossibly be that delenquit for july) they would not except my payment for June because I am late with July and they tacked on a auction fee of 100 some odd dollars now giving me a balance of 427.00 dollars and absolutely refused to work with me because I didn't have the entire amount. I asked only to be able to pay June's payment this week and julys payment next week, now really is that do damn unreasonable? And since when do you get a 127 dollar auction fee on a storage that is technically only a month behind? So hopefully I can manage to scrape up half a months rent for a house to pay for my storage. I think that they are completely unreasonable and extremely high! I will be moving to another facility.

They promised me a spot for my boat on the phone and by text. We purchased the boat based on the fact there would be a place to store it. When we got there the told us they had no place for us. It was too late to find anyplace else and we went through hell to find a place that night. The manager was curt and didn't care what we had been promised. Don't use this place they will lie to you!

Literally the best storage place ever. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. When my lock wouldn't open they immediately came with the cutters to help. The other day I lost my keys there and and when I left and came back the already found them. I recommend them to everybody.

Mngt is kind and professional. Well secured facility. My only complaint is that the units absolutely are not the size they claim. I brought a measuring tape to show them an advertised 5x5 is actually a 4x2.5ft. They still held their stance. False advertising.

This was probably one of the greatest customer service experiences I have ever had. Friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Savannah Hwy location to anyone. I recently rented a unit from Cube Smart and it was a quick, easy and painless experience. The staff were polite, friendly and professional. The unit was clean and ready for me to move in. The property is safe and secure and I have no doubt my possessions will be too. I am always greeted with a smile at the door or a friendly voice on the phone. I'm hoping my storage needs are going to be short term but if I need to store again in the future or have a friend that needs storage it will be Cube Smart on Savannah Highway!!!

Staff were pleasant and professional. They are always helpful when I call about my bill or need help with something. We moved from one unit to another. New unit was clean. We have had old unit 20+ years and it was very dusty. Only saw one live creepy crawly, and it was a weevil, so not complaining about that. The unit was dry with no evidence of any real moisture or water damage. We store business files, so that's pretty important. The facility is decent, but could definitely stand to be paved. Gravel with pot holes like everywhere, and muddy, especially after the rain (like every day here). I only go there like 4 times a year, so for the price, it is worth it. Over all I have had a positive experience, and would recommend to others.
