Although the place itself is clean, gated, and the employees are professional it doesn't make up for the fact that they raise the rent often and by alot. We're talking more than doubled in 16mo of being there. So after the 3rd increase I started shopping around and got an indoor climate controlled unit, same size, same area and open longer hours for half the price, so I'm back to my original monthly amount and I upgraded being indoors now.

I just stopped by CubeSmart in Goose Creek and could not open my unit. I broke the key off in the lock. SMH. 205 dollars for a 10x12 non climate controlled unit! I have been there for years never missed a payment and late one time. Found out they advertised for a fraction of the cost. I have never been punished for being a loyal customer. When I told them I was leaving them for another they said " we can work something out". To little to late. Moving to a cleaner climate controlled for half the price.

They have raised my 10x12 to 205 dollars a month for a non climate control unit! I have had leather furniture melt, mattresses ruined with dirt and grime, and everything completely covered with dirt, dust, leaves, and cigaret buts. They are charging half or less than half for the same unit to new users but they evaluated mine and deemed it more expensive even though I have been a loyal customer for years and never missed a payment and late one time. Once I told them I was going to remove my stuff and move to another facility ( clean, half the price, and climate controlled and friendlier staff) they said we can work something out! You should've done that to begin with. Bye-bye. I do have photos of the nastiness.

My fiancé and my roomate got stuck last night due to the gate not being able to open and let them out and we had to call the officers and the officers allowed them to climb the fence . Our units are good though thank you for that but please fix the side part where they can walk out at least or give the officers a number for them to be able to get out without having to call the cops .

Expensive Climate Controlled unit had a leak or water entered over the last year. Went to remove items, end unit lease, because rent increased 27% over time and 2 cardboard boxes laid on concrete got wet (now dry but disintegrated) and ruined 75 vintage vinyl albums, their sleeves and covers. I have photos of the floor where the box bottoms had to be pried off of it and the box that fell apart sending mold dust flying in my face, eyes, nose and mouth. The other items laid directly on the floor were plastic bins so the contents seem OK, but if there was a crack in any of them, the clothes inside may be ruined too.

I’ve had a unit for many years. I’ve recently decided to downsize and the ladies in the office have been nothing but wonderful. It’s a nice, clean, and safe environment. It’s a great location if you need storage.

I was won over by the positive reviews of this company, but less than impressed by all the hidden fees. The first month is free, supposedly, but that only means they spare you the actual rental fee. After "admin fees" ($24), lock fee ($16), and a required insurance fee ($12), you'll likely end up paying more than the actual rental fee itself. Furthermore, the insurance fee is never included in the actual quote, so tack on $12 to whatever your monthly rate is. After that, your billing cycle does not start from the day you begin rental, but rather than on the first of every month. So your "first month free" can be as little as one day "free", depending on when you start renting. The monthly rate is still fairly low, but I would have felt a lot less deceived if all of these hidden fees were disclosed up front in more than microscopic print.

I am most satisfied with making the choice to use Cube Smart because of price and convenience of being right in my own neighborhood. 4 years of personal belongings at this location. When my husband and I put our belongings here, only one name was told needed to be on the account. My husband and I are now separating. We went to court legally & had a judge signed for my husband to allow me the pass code & keys ( which I already have in my possession ) to be able to get my belongings. I Notified the storage unit people of the situation sent them a copy of the documentation and ask a manager to contact me so that I can legally get my belongings. No one ever did. The unit didn't get paid for it went up for Auction. Without ever notifying me or my husband whom, we were not on speaking terms at the time. Therefore neither of us knew about it. I called to check why I hadn't been contacted about my Concerns on how to go about getting my belongings. Then found out my lock had been broken and removed, & Unit was up for Auction. I was told I could pay & that I could come get my belongings when I'm ready to. Paid fees fines ect so that my children & I would not loose our stuff. This place gives me the run around I'm getting different answers every time. Contacted the " area manager CHIP " whom as well said I wouldn't be able to get my things because it was in my husbands name. I asked in May 2019 for someone to contact me. Chip explained to me their so called policy that was never explained to being with. They Continued to collect payment collected payment for the auction and the months following after. It's now October. Now they say I can't get my stuff without my husband being there.... when I have court documentation and signed by a judge to be allowed to get my belongings. No communication, poor training to the staff that can't even properly inform on their policy.

We had a unit here for about a year and withing a couple months they jacked the price up.. They start you out with a great deal and dont tell you that after about 2-3 months your "rent" for the unit goes up. When I called about it i was basically told I should have read the fine print..

I called a few other storage places before making a decision to go with CubeSmart self storage. The service was absolutely awesome, I didn't feel pressured or hassled and everyone that I spoke with starting with the main call center to the nice people at the office were very helpful. The prices were also very reasonable and actually less expensive than any of the other places that I called. Overall experience was great.

Mr. Borrero was absolutely fantastic. He explained everything so well, I didn't feel the need to ask any questions. He covered it all. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the storage units and the grounds. I feel like my belongings will be safer in a well maintained building and was especially happy to see so many CCTV cameras all over. My only problem was not being able to find it! Two different navigation systems failed to mention or show on map the side street you have to turn on to get there. I only found it because I finally just pulled over and used a satellite image to see landmarks. I asked why there wasn't a sign by the highway... that would really help! I didn't take any stars away but it would be extremely helpful to tell clients about that glitch before they get lost for 30min or more!! I have already recommended your facility to someone and told them how to find it.

I used a unit here for a few months, as I had a trailer that I could not park outside of my apartment. The prices are reasonable, but it's the customer service which is really great. I have to say that Ben went above and beyond to help me get the best deal possible, and his attitude even convinced one of my friends to rent a parking spot for a few weeks while on vacation. Ben and Elvis met all our needs in a friendly and professional manner. I actually went through the reservation web sight to confirm a unit and Ben and Elvis were my third attempt. The other two businesses confirmed my unit but when I spoke to them they did not have what I reserved available??? I asked them both what is the point of using the web service for their business when they do not have the units available. They gave no reasonable response. We rented a unit from CubeSmart after price checking several other facilities. By far CubeSmart offers the best value. We filled our first unit and needed a second for a short time before closing on our home, the manager personally took time to explain our options and help choose the one to best fit our needs and budget. He also spent a few moments just having friendly conversation about his time in the US Army and Navy and showing interest about ourselves. I mentioned this because it's rare to find a genuine person in business that takes time to get to know his or her customers in long term business relationships much less in a business like this where it's transient and you rarely see your customers. I find this to be refreshing and tells me that the character of the manager is impeccable. The units are spacious, clean, the security is more than adequate, moving materials and locks are all available for purchase in the office. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of storage.

The guy working there was very honest and helpful. The units were very new and very clean. We were not originally planning on climate controlled but the price difference and discounts made it a better value. We even got the first month free. There was less than $20 upfront cost. The location it's super convenient for us and the accessible hours (6am to 10pm everyday) make it easy for us to load and unload at our convenience. They use codes for the gate but it's specific to the owner not a generic gate code. Overall very good experience. I could pay less but the discounts and incentives make it a wash at worst for short term storage (3-6 months).

The best storage facility I have ever used. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and reliable. The facility itself is top notch. My belongings were in the same condition as when I left them, with no pest. This company really put my mind at ease. Ben is awesome!!!

Rented a small unit back in August. Close to the house and easy to get to and accessible whenever I needed to get in it. Ben is a great manager and always available for questions and any help I needed and always with a smile.

Great!!! Excellent Customer Service. We were truly treated like they wanted our business. Greeted with warm conversation and appreciation. It was close to closing and Ben take the time to show us around, asked if we had any questions. He did not try to push us out. The property is very clean and so are the units. Great job!!
