Most household items like clothing, furniture, electronics, photos, books, and vehicles are allowed in our storage units.

While we allow most items, there are a few that aren’t permitted, like anything flammable, toxic, or hazardous. In addition to that, we don’t allow storing perishable food, live animals, weapons, and controlled substances in our units. Please contact your store manager for more details.

You are responsible for the personal items you store at CubeSmart. Insurance for those items is required, so we offer affordable third-party insurance or “protection plan” options at the facility. If you are already covered by an insurance plan, a copy of the declaration page must be available at the time of rental.

We understand how stressful packing and moving can be. But small details, like labeling your boxes properly, will be helpful in the long run when you are looking for items in your unit. Here are some helpful storage tips to keep in mind and ways you can prepare and organize your storage unit.
