HOT! HOT! HOT!!! My first mistake was not actually going inside any units - it's hot in there. Climate controlled???? Not here. The windows actually allow more heat inside (than should be). So, thermostat, although possibly set at 77, can't keep up. (In my search, I did stop at other storage facilities and went inside the units. They were all comfortable. So I assumed CubeSmart would be the same. BIG MISTAKE.) I went back 12 hrs later and removed what I just put in ans emailed a request for full refund since I was severely misleading on this climate nonsense.

Access with truck is not easy, front gate key pad is so far from gate and the way it comes down is dangerous and very hard to enter with large truck, the set up of the units and entry is not very efficient if wanting to access unit quickly or often and overall pricing is not as affordable as originally quoted. I would not recommend if ever asked unless, maybe for a smaller unit but def not for a larger unit or if you need multiple units

I like this place, but keep in mind the sizing on their units is *approximate* to what the website lists. I reserved a 5x10 but when I got to the unit it was extremely small. I measured it to be even less than 4ft wide. I ended up paying more for a 10x10 unit, which is all right.

Keep smart on hickory valley has been a really convenient place to store our belongings! They were super kind in the office, and helped me with anything I needed help with! The system even messed up on my price and it was $150 instead of 90 and I called them and they got it fixed immediately! It has been a real blessing to store my belongings at CubeSmart on hickory valley! ??

First of all it’s the customer service for me. The women that work in the office are very informative, very helpful and very friendly. They’ve been great. I’ve lost my phone twice at this place and that’s not their problem but they were still very sweet & helpful about it. Overall, of all the storage units I have used in this area and others, this one ranks higher. They have carts to pull your things to your unit and accessible bathrooms should you have to go which I can’t say about any of the others. 10/10 would recommend!

The parking lot is TERRIBLE if you are not careful it could damage your vehicle. The drop off from the road to the parking lot is massive. All staff are awesome and have no other complaints regarding this facility.

Store your things elsewhere! I never write reviews but had to for this. Offer insurance that actually covers something like water leaking into our unit. Ruining a mattress, tv, washer/dryer, dresser, and more. Then refusing to reimburse us because the insurance company only actually covers “wind-related damage” and pictures showing a peeled open roof. There aren’t many hurricanes here in Tennessee so that’s unlikely. What a scam. Cubesmart offered a free month of rent and movement to another unit to make up for the thousands of dollars we lost. Not exactly a fair deal. ON TOP OF THAT, we ended up having to actually pay 400 dollars just to move out of the unit and ended up getting rid of everything because it was so water damaged. When I took everything out the roof was STILL leaking when we were told it had been repaired. Stay far away or you may have a similar experience

Not sure what's happening to the property, no one in the office and trash everywhere. Fire doors are being held open with a bag of concrete? Dumpsters are piled with garbage and strung out all over the place. Gate is being held open, random people walking in the gate looking for someone for the office. I have had a wonderful experience from start to finish with this location! Cassins Anderson even offered to come in early to assist me with the movers who were moving my belongings into a storage unit. In addition, every possible thing a storage unit can do they do! For example, the locks they offer I used and they had a welcome bag with the top cut off of the packaging for the lock so it was easy to move in and lock everything up. I could list about 10 things here if not more but as far as a storage unit is concerned (and I have stored before), you really aren't going to find a place that will give you a better experience. This is the place to go!

Bright, clean, with great service desk people. I would have given them 5 stars, except you have to do a magic trick to get in the door after you've driven through the gate. The door that's inside the fence is locked. You have to have a second person to hop out and go through the door outside the fence (that HAS a keypad) to let you in the door. Adding a simple keypad would do the trick. I'm not sure how you would get your vehicle to the loading dock and then through the door to your storage if you were alone. I'm surprised. Most all else seems in good working order.

Honestly ya'll left me alone. I know that sounds weird, but it was nice just renting a space and not having to read all the spam emails my last storage place sent every week. It was also very easy to end the rental, which was another complaint I had about my last storage place, and I am still surprised that all I had to do was send an email and you guys took care of the rest. I will be using CubeSmart again the next time I need storage.

The facility is fine, but I'm actively seeking alternatives as the price is steadily climbing. I suspect that's probably their business model, but two price increases in a year with no additional value add seems ridiculous. Should have read the fine print better. Edit to respond to post by the company: I fully realize that the rate isn't guaranteed. What I object to, and what seems clear from other reviews is that your rate increases are just a predatory component of your business practices.

We came into town from Arizona and had already secured a storage at another facility. When we dropped our truck off at the Hickory Valley Rd. Location, we liked the cleanliness of the facility. Michaela was very attentive, listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to help us find the right space for our needs. The staff is very nice and the facility is very clean and maintained. BUT, I gave 2 stars because the company has decided that every 6 or 12 months they are going to increase the price of the unit. There should be no reason I should be paying $125, that is including insurance, for a 10 x 10 unit. As soon as I can find something cheaper and even closer to where I live now I will be moving!

I absolutely enjoyed my dealings with the staff at this facility. The local staff was always kind, upbeat and always attentive to our rental needs. BUT, normally, loyalty as a customer is rewarded. Not with Cube Smart corporate. My reward for staying with them was to see my rate go up over $100 a month over time! As a guy who teaches customer service I found this rather insane. Cube Smart may be a good short-term choice, but stay away from long-term. They'll get you!

Stopped by the facility to check prices on a few units. Mikayla and Ashley were amazing from the very beginning. They showed me around the facility, which is very clean, and showed me several different size units. I loved that they knew the few customers that were on the property by name and greeted them as we passed by. I love that the facility is gated and you can not access it without a code. Security is great at this location. Mikayla and Ashley both really went above and beyond to help me today.

Adam Turnmire, the manager my wife and I dealt with, was the epitome of professional. We were only the second person in line when we went in and within 5 minutes there were about 10 people in line behind us. Instead of growing frustrated, overwhelming himself, and not being productive, he handled each and every person as if they were the only one in the building after assuring everyone else that he was working as diligent as possible and would take care of them just the same. The complex was huge and he was still able to get everyone in and out that was in that line in the amount of time it took us to unload a small truck of stuff. Maybe 10-15 minutes tops. He made a huge difference in us choosing a facility. CubeSmart is lucky to have this guy because he would easily do just as well overseeing a bank or something along those lines. And on the topic of CubeSmart, the company themselves make the process of renting a storage room as easy as possible. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience.

I have to say, I'm impressed with this facility so far. Everyone working here has been very nice and helpful. The only reason for four stars is the price. Seems a little high but, for the location and what I needed, it will work for now.

A family member rented a unit and said always had good experiences so we thought we give it a try first yes the place was nice and clean but second the manager Tyler was rude and disrespectful it was like we was an inconvenience to him I dont think he had any idea what he was doing and was constantly on his cell phone we asked for a manger he said he was the manager we asked who was above him he told us no one I'm sorry cubesmart but I gotta go elsewhere as a business owner that's bad real bad customer service

I would only consider this if it was the last to choose from. After Cubesmart took over property managing at All American Storage; well, every 3 month's rates increase (only explanation is that we are getting our units to street value), and God help you if you prepay and then move. I would pay 3 month's in advance and on top of getting notices every end of 3 month period about rate hikes I finally moved to Va and it put me vacating these units ahead of paid period. Well this was on October 26th and today being January 3rd I still haven't received my reimbursement checks. I get this excuse that the process was put in the back of the stack, and then they couldn't figure out what last name to put on the check. So I had to turn it over to an attorney to collect what I overpaid plus interest fees for 30 day's + every 30 day's. Ended up going back to a public storage facility and Guaranty. Management is nice and understanding to your needs and the prices are stable without all these unnecessary rate hikes every 2,3 month's. My sister moved out this past weekend because Cubesmart kept hiking her rates. She was paying $42 per month than she started 1 year earlier for the same unit and their explanation: we are adjusting our rates to match the street value. Let me say that if that was the case then the rates should have been coming down because there is nothing on this street to give a comp for value adjustments. Stay away from Cubesmart people. You will only be moving out anyways since they have priced themselves out of reach. It is not worth it.

I currently have a storage unit at this location and my father was moving to town and needed one as well. We checked into several units in the area and met with several property managers. Cube Smart was not the cheapest but they were by far the nicest and most accommodating place we went to. They will be where I recommend everyone go first from now on!

I've rented from these units previously and the service was just "ok"; however, recently I needed a storage unit again and the customer service was excellent. It's been too early to tell how well the units are maintained but for now, I give them an A+!
