Lightning struck our newly renovated house and started a fire. The last thing I wanted to do was move everything into a storage unit. a friend recommended CubeSmart. Poor customer service and maintenance. The facility does not seem very secure or clean. Often when I am entering or leaving the facility, the security gate is just wide open. It is often dirty as well. The gutter above our unit leaks and creates a puddle in front of our unit. The paint is peeling off of the door and the whole place just seems poorly maintained. Attempts to bring these issues to the attention of the management have been ignored.

Not my first interaction with a Karen. Judith Barrom would not call my boss to add me on the list of people who can have access to codes. She said my boss needed to be there personally. When I called other Cubesmarts to ask what could be done in my situation, they all said they would’ve called the owner on the account and verify a few questions. Maybe since I was there in person and Judith Barrom saw I was a minority, she decided not to help out. Have a nice day Judith. By the way. Fantastic! They really care. Like no other storage place I've seen. I was moving out of storage on a hot day this past August. The moving guys and I were baked. The manager, Judith, was driving by on a golf cart and asked how we were. She saw how exhausted we were and said she'd bring some water by. I thought she was kidding. 5 minutes later she returned with cold water for each of us. Any time I've had a problem she has been responsive. David too has been helpful and courteous any time I've had a credit card number changed or whatever. They are patient and professional. I've been keeping storage with them for over a year with 5 units at one time. I still have one there in climate control. Their service is awesome. I can't recommend them enough!

Lyn was absolutely great and wonderful customer service. We just rented a locker this weekend but when checking out, the place is clean, well lit and seems pretty safe. The things to be aware of though is extra pricing that was outside of the original estimate. It is required to have insurance and if you don't have a certificate of your insurance through your insurance with you, you pretty much have to get the insurance they have. It is $12.00 for the cheapest policy ($2000) in coverage which would be great if are stuff was worth anything at all. It is required otherwise I would have just gone without insurance. They also charge a processing fee of around $1.95 if you are paying your bill online. If you are quoting things out, it is a good idea to add the cost of insurance and service fee so you have accurate information when making your decision on storage buildings.

Brett Copper, one of the managers here at Cubesmart Trousdale went above and beyond to help us out. Right away when I went in to sign our lease, he was attentive, and very happy to just help us find what we needed. When we had some things to work through with the unit, I sat in the office filling out paperwork while he helped other customers. I was blown away by his attention to each customer, greeting them by name and asking if there was any way to assist them. Turns out, we had some issues with our unit due to some unforseen situation. He barely knew us and treated us and our situation with our unit as if this was his own business and he was personally responsible for things running smoothly. He made sure we were treated right and resolved the situation for us. Cubesmart is lucky to have him. He is a gem of a manager.

I initially rented a 5x5 but realized it was way too small. They were able to get me a bigger one that minute luckily because I had a moving truck ready to unload with movers. I've been here for nearly two years and the staff has been helpful and the facility is well kept and secure. The reason for my poor review is because CubeSmart jacks up the rent about every six months on existing customers. I'm already paying more per month than the published rate and they are raising it even higher. I understand that rate increases are necessary, but what I don't understand is why a long-term customer pays significantly more than the published rate on a unit.

I got stuck in traffic and was late, but she was waiting for me.
