A lot of changed policies lately, really frustrating experience having been at this facility over 2 years now. They used to allow deliveries to drop off at the lobby, but recently they decided to not allow this anymore, which is extremely frustrating when you have heavy deliveries. They said you can ask them to deliver into your unit - definitely not doing that since I don't know who would be accessing my personal and work items into my unit. They also changed their bathroom policies to not allow anyone in there when there isn't a staff person onsite to let you in. I also had someone lock my unit so when I arrived I had to have someone unlock it. The reason? They messed up and lock the wrong unit. So had it been an emergency and I needed access, I wouldn't have been able to get in unless someone was there to unlock it. They removed all the trash cans so you can't trash any small items. I really hate that there were so many perks that have just been taken away one after the other because of one incident here or there so now everyone is affected.

I have been a customer at this CubeSmart location for years with anywhere between 3-5 large units depending on the needs of my small business. For the first couple of years this location was run phenomenally by Ray, but after he left there was a MAJOR drop off in the overall customer experience; the facility became significantly less safe and less clean (I could provide dozens of examples of each), “management” (a revolving door of CubeSmart employees) was lazy/unhelpful at best and utterly inept at worst, and we considered leaving the facility altogether due to the remarkable decline. All of that stopped the instant that Susan arrived! Immediately (literally the first day), she got to work to fix the countless issues the store was facing from the ~year of horrendous management. Susan has worked seemingly tirelessly to remedy every issue the building was previously facing with regards to safety, cleanliness and poor customer service; the building is as clean if not cleaner than it was under the management of Ray (this includes the bathrooms, loading dock area, all hallways and even the dumpster area!), its exceptionally safe again and she provides a level of customer service that is on par with high end hotels or restaurants. Our entire small business is thrilled with the management of the facility under Susan and as a direct result of her hard work, we no longer have plans on leaving for the foreseeable future. Our hope with this 5 star review is that CubeSmart corporate will recognize the importance of excellent employees/managers like Susan and do whatever it takes to keep her happy in the role (whether it’s raises, time off, additional resources/staff, etc.)! PLEASE do not make the same mistake you made with Ray and let exceptional talent leave… in the long run you’ll only end up with highly dissatisfied customers (we know at least a dozen previous CubeSmart customers that left prior to Susan’s arrival due to the mismanagement) and cost your corporation significantly more than you would if you just focused on retaining people like Ray & Susan!

You're not going to be happy here long-term unless you like large, random rate increases. I've stored my personal belongings off and on at this location since it originally opened as a SpaceMax in 2018. Everything was fantastic back then, but CubeSmart took over the property a few years later and prioritized shareholder value over customer satisfaction. Want to know what the customer rental experience is like now? You'll sign up online because the rate is great due to a signup special. Then, a few months later, your rate will increase. Then, a few months later, your rate will increase again! Now you're paying significantly more, but you have an idea: move to a higher floor, which has a lower rent. So, you rent another unit and move all your belongings over. Now your rent drops. Whoo-hoo! ...and a few months later, your rent on the new unit increases. Oh, okay... ...and then, a year later, your rent on the new unit increases again! Now you're paying more than you ever did before. Long story short—you have no control over the rent. If they want to increase the rate, they can and will. If you raise a concern to customer service, they'll quote "market conditions" at you.

My experience at Cube smart has been generally great, especially now that the negativity is no longer there! The manager Susan, is a very nice and helpful lady who goes above and beyond, to give the best customer service that she possibly can. Legitimately the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. Whoever runs the office on Saturday was very clear that my wanting to rent a unit was an inconvenience to her (90min before closing). She was busy cleaning and said I should just look online. When I said I’d prefer to select one in person, she gave me bad information on the unit we found, made errors and assumptions about what I was looking for, all while grumbling about how much work she had to do before leaving. When she said I needed to provide home owners insurance in order to rent (turns out this isn’t true), she said the website was my only option. So I just left.

Went to cube smart on 9/25/24,and representative Susan was so pleasant and helpful . Great customer service and better experience had approximately a months ago with Diane. What started out to be a great experience ended up being a nightmare. I got hurt and Diane told me to write my name and telephone # Diane's demeanor changed because I wanted to write in detail to what occurred. Dianne yelled and very unprofessional and told my boyfriend and to get out of the store was going to call the police and refused to serve us. Diane should been mindful that people may react differently being screamed at and put herself in danger. Also, with my encounter with Diane she had the door locked during working hours sitting at the desk. I would rate Diane a 0 for customer care and being people friendly.

Renter beware. Rental prices continue to go up up up! When I first started to rent my unit while it was still SpaceMax under Ray, I paid $100 for my unit. My rent is now $220. Want to actually have 24/7 access to your unit? Oh, that costs more! The elevators did not work on a Sunday before a trip and we were unable to get many of the things we needed and had to repurchase last minute all that was needed for travel in our unit. No manager would answer corporate’s multiple phone calls to help us and they refused to reimburse or even be helpful because units aren’t actually 24/7 as advertised. What they did do was up the rent, though! Save yourself the time before you move everything in and find another place for storage, unless you’re ok with rent continuing to go up!

Had to move out 10 x 10 is now 193 a month with late fee of 234. Insane price to pay if inflation is going up. I went to public storage and got an outdoor 10 x 5 for 50 bucks. But I understand all the fees to up every 6 months. Other than that. The indoor factor is nice and I never had any issues. I kept my belongings at cubes Mart for the past 4 years. Thank you

Since the management change, the rental experience with this facility has declined. The facility used to be one of the best in the area and now it is just another storage facility. One of the reasons I chose this facility when looking was the amenities that were provided with your rent, there is a nice conference room where if you are a remote worker like me and need to have an actual face-to-face meeting, this conference room worked well for it. There is a loading dock so when you need to have pallets delivered as I often do it makes it easier to do so and you do not have to worry about trying to schedule a liftgate delivery. There are plenty of carts and a pallet jack you can access if needed. You also had access to the dumpster to discard boxes from deliveries. I started renting here when the facility was first opened as SpaceMax in 2017/2018 (sorry I do not remember the exact year) for business storage and stayed with them through numerous rate increases just due to the quality of the facility management. When Ray was managing the facility, the floors were clean, the bathrooms were clean, the loading dock was clean and trash cans were emptied regularly. You could have packages delivered to the facility and Ray would be sure the packages were secured and placed in your unit. Ray knew his customers by name and would always be sure to greet them and let them know he appreciated their business. Understandably, rental rates are going to increase some, but the rate increases here have been exorbitant and coming about every 11 months with the last increase in September 2023 and prior to that November 2022. I am now paying 3 times my original rent per month since the beginning of my five-ish years at Space Max/CubeSmart. It would be one thing if it was just a rate increase but there has also been a steady reduction in amenities along with cleanliness too. The trashcan in the lobby is often overflowing with trash stacked around it, the bathrooms are no longer sparkling clean and now you can smell urine when entering. The floors especially in the lobby are dirty with spills drying on the floor and staying for days if not weeks on end. The conference room has gone from unlimited usage to a certain number of hours a month to now where you are now charged hourly for the conference room. Packages that are delivered to the facility are just stacked in the lobby and left there for anyone to take versus being put in the units as it used to happen. Business renters no longer have access to the dumpster either. The only change in amenities that has been communicated to tenants is the change in the conference room policy which was posted to the door of the conference room. I was just informed of the new dumpster policy on Friday when I asked to discard a few boxes. The lady working told me tenants were no longer to use the dumpster as CubeSmart was cutting back. Another frustration since Ray has left is there is not a consistent presence of office staff. Office hours used to be posted and have since been removed, you never know when someone will be there and when someone will not. If you have a delivery coming and need to use the truck dock, someone might be there to unlock the dock plate and then again someone might not. It would be best to just plan for all deliveries to come on a liftgate through the front doors. It is truly disappointing to see how far this facility has fallen in the last year.

I absolutely recommend using Cube storage, especially the one off of Gallatin Ave because Ray is the best at what he does. He goes beyond the call to making sure that we are well satisfied with our choice of storage and ensures are safety is a priority. I spoke with him briefly and he was just this big ball of kindness. I have already told others to keep Cube Storage in mind when it comes to their storage needs. I definitely like the area that this location is in and it’s clean and smells good as well. So you definitely want be upset about going with these guys. Also Ray thanks for your help and it was a pleasure meeting such a wonderful person and I feel good about knowing my daughter things will be just as we left them.??

While I’ve been very happy with the convenience, service and location of the property the fact that CubeSmart can adjust/increase my rate at any point seems extremely convenient for them. They said typically 6 months from every move in and then each year after that they will increase the rate. I find this to be a fairly shady practice and dishonest.

I felt that my possessions were secure inside the storage unit that I was renting. The hours of operation are convenient for being able to move things in and out throughout the day. The only item worth considering is that when you move out early, you don’t get any money credited back to you. Other storage units do credit back your money, which is appreciated by those of us who are using the storage unit temporarily in between moves.

For 17 years I've had a storage shed in Lavergne Tennessee that was full of bugs outside no insurance no climate control Rusty door hinges. But this place. Is a godsend. These people change the price of my storage room three times they didn't warn me over the phone that they were going to try and soak me for $29 a month to cover $5,000 worth of liability insurance. They told me over the phone I would get the 25% discount when I got there did not apply it. Then one person tells me a price for an 8x10 and then when I come back to get it the other person tells me it's more money because it's on the ground floor. Nobody was up front the person on the phone did not warn me of the hidden fees. The people at the desk did not want to give me the discount that I was promised online and we're not apologetic about it at all

This was probably the easiest process I have ever had with a storage company! I did my lease online, paid online, Miranda from the local office called to tell me she put my lock inside the unit and I was ready to go! I also received an email with directions to my unit and even which door to park near! Building is clean, unit was clean, and honestly even though I have never seen an actual employee (which in COVID-19 times is a good thing, also you CAN see the employees but you do not have to) I still feel like their social distancing customer service is still STELLAR!!

Our CubeSmart Self Storage rental experience has been great! Our first encounter was with Ray who gave us a tour of the facility and the elevators, bathrooms and each floor that I visited were clean and well lit. Ray went out of his way to ensure that we understood the policies, how the facility is run, and which amenities are available for us to use. Once we rented out a unit the outstanding service, attention to detail and cleanliness just continued. We are always greeted by Ray and staff in a professional and kind manner. We used their office space occasionally and we were always impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the facility. Having working cameras all around the inside and outside of the well lit facility adds an added level of security as well. If I have billing questions Ray take his time to answer all of my questions. I can't say enough about Ray as a manager. It would be nice if all managers ran their businesses with the level of pride and care that Ray does. It is always a pleasure going to this facility and their hours are also convenient. When we decided to close out our unit Miranda assisted us and was very polite and accommodating. She took care of our close out m, gave us our receipt and said that if we wanted to come back we are always welcome. This has been a great experience from beginning to end and I don't say this for many other businesses.

Space max is great. Climate controlled storing, well located, very accommodating staff. They have moving trolleys and mattress movers for those changing apartments / need to store large items. Ray and his staff are extremely helpful - couldn’t recommend higher.

I’m moving to Nashville from Los Angeles in a few weeks. I needed a storage unit for some things I’ve had in storage for a few years in L A. After a very frustrating run in with another storage facility in Nashville, I was fortunate to find SpaceMax. What a facility! Ray and Matt were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I couldn’t be happier with the place!

Cannot say enough good about this facility and the staff! Ray and Matt were professional and welcoming- and helped make my out of state moving experience a breeze. I am actually looking forward to returning there, even though I currently have no real need to do so since I know my belongings are safe and secure. Highly recommend!

This place is definitely the best storage place I have ever used. The staff is extremely helpful and very personable. They really went above and beyond to help me. Another good thing about this is the storage units are Inside and air conditioned. It is also very clean. I highly recommend this place if you are thinking where to go.

Ray has impeccable customer interaction skills and was very welcoming and friendly when my husband and I arrived. He assured me I could change my mind about which unit was best for us at any moment even after unloading had begun. The space is extremely clean and well secured. I would highly recommend SpaceMax.

We just started using SpaceMax for overflow storage of our home staging inventory and we could not be happier! Ray has rolled out the red carpet and made this the easiest transition imaginable. There is a loading dock with space to “stage” before loading, a van available for rent for extra hauling, clean bathrooms (clean everything), security, a conference room, plenty of parking, convenient East Nashville location and temperature controlled. We highly recommend it!!
