Lisa and Shannon were super helpful! I was looking for a storage unit closer to my new apartment and came across this one, they helped me with everything and answered all my questions and concerns and were true professionals! The plus for me was even with my super busy schedule they were always there to make sure I had everything I needed. The facilities were clean and in a safe area. The young lady named Susan made moving into the Cube Storage facility as easy a butter. I identified what size I needed and she showed what was available and the rules, prices of the company clearly. She was able to answer my questions quite nicely. But, Susan's sense of humor, able to talk about varies things in a short period of time makes my times storing things a pleasant part of my day. I am a senior female living only off social security. I am a faithful paying customer at cube smart. This business wants to increase rent yearly when new paying customers don't even pay half the price they charge long term customers. The front desk staff are nice, however they have very little decision making control(or so they say)and will direct us over to the senior district manager. They did not increase rent on me last year but made up for it this year by increasing my monthly bill a whopping $40.more each month. I understand it's the nature of this type business, but $40. is an extreme monthly increase and me speaking with the district manager did not help at all. He didn't even suggest or inform me of any other possible options now or down the road. As one reviewer noted "This is bad business practice". They take advantage of their long term customers in order to make up the difference in pay they lose on their new customers very Low monthly payments and first months Free rent. I feel stuck because at this time I have no savings to up and move the things from my storage unit. I noticed most positive reviews on here are new or short term customers. I was enthused in the beginning as well. But it won't last, so don't be fooled. I suggest you look elsewhere for cheaper rates "long term" before getting hooked with big monthly increases at CubeSmart.

This Cube Smart is my favorite. I have been a client for a number of years. The current management is by far the most qualified and incredibly helpful. Richard has assisted me with my account issues in a very productive and timely manner at least half a dozen times. Amanda, the newest rep is the kindest young lady who is diligent with her job. Unlike previous management and reps we see them all the time on site and in the office.

Great self storage place, and convenient to the neighborhoods and community surrounding Moontower Saloon. I’d give it five stars, but recently they have been adjusting rents up whenever the market conditions change, but they’ve never told us about openings or options that lower our cost as their costs lower. That feels like a bad business practice, but I have to admit, they keep the place maintained. Maybe their costs just keep going up? If so, you may experience the same rent increases we’ve been experiencing recently.

Never buy storage units on auction on that facility. Richard was absolutely unsupportive with our case (couple time try to convince us do not come because owner of unit going to come and pay), we were agreed about timing when we will come to pick-up stuff from storage and literally got a call 5 min before arriving that unit will be sold to owner because he will come in 5 min and we don't need to come! The facility is poorly maintained - the entry/exit code panels were both very loose, the gate is somewhat tight for large vehicles, the entrance driveway is patchy and uneven, and the parking areas are unpaved and unmarked.

Don't rent space here. They have developed an efficient checklist for irritating customers quickly: 1. Redesign your gate entry system and change the way the code is entered, don't notify anyone and definitely do not put up a sign to tell people. 2. Then, change the system so that people have to use a keypad to exit, also, don't tell anyone about this change. Be sure to put the keypad on the passenger side of the vehicle so you have to get out of your car every time to use it. Enjoy watching people get irritated and don't offer to help. 3. Jack up your rates 50% after you have been in there a year or two, also, don't notify anyone, just bill them 4. Make sure your employees act dumb about the changes and pretend it's always been that way 5. Despite all these security changes, be sure to leave the gate completely open at least 50% of the time anyway

I like that this place is always clean, and safe but I find the prices pretty high. Edit: Service is dropping. My contract was for $129 at the end of 2020. Now it’s mid 2022 and they are charging $179 for a 10x 10. I had 2 cards on file for auto pay, and one of them didn’t work (because I lost and had to cancel) instead of charging the other card, they gave me a bunch of late fees, and it’s a pain to deal with them.

The entire process was pretty seamless! Regina was a HUGE help once I got to the facility. She showed me our parking spot, realized it wasn't going to work and then quickly found another one. It’s close by my house so it was convenient to rent a unit here. When I first moved in there was an extra lock on the unit even though I had prepaid for the unit. So the movers had to keep my things until the next day. Nobody at the office was answering the phone. They took that lock off by morning buy it was still frustrating and an added expense. They tried to make good which is appreciated. Anyway we worked it out. The unit was nice and climate controlled. They have good security. The rates are a bit high and recently were raised again. The office staff isn’t the best and hours are limited. Perhaps since COVID19, its changed everything in business. I’d rent there again if needed.

These guys are the best! I pulled up to the facility and it was pouring down rain. Before I had a chance to get out my own umbrella, the manager was already walking outside with a large umbrella to help me get into the office. They were efficient and knowledgeable, and clearly cared about the condition of the facility, the cleanliness, and the security. I was so pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the experience and the confidence it brought to storing my things there. Thank you!

I will not recommend this dump they charge ridiculous prices for these rat infested storage units I rented a storage for 9 months when I went to take my items out everything had rat droppings n urine I had to throw away a lot of my things a whole bin full of toys for my kids blankets comforters kids chairs kitchen items bc they were full of rat droppings n urine I didn’t want my kids or I to die from the urine n rat droppings I spoke with the manager n they told me they couldn’t do anything about it I had insurance through Cubesmart but they declined to write a claim for me so I got screwed bc I lost all the toys for my kids bc of rat urine n droppings the manager of this nasty Cubesmart storage came n took pictures of the damage but they still refused to compensate me but they’re quick to demand they’re ghetto insurance be added to the lease n quick to charge u an arm n a leg for the disgusting storage please go toU-HAUL where it is indoors n really climate controlled bc Cubesmart isn’t climate controlled n my candles n shoe boxes got scorched bc of the heat please don’t rent ur storage with Cubesmart bc they won’t own up to their promise n they’re infested with rats I gave them one star bc that was the only way I could post a review otherwise they wouldn’t even get one star from me

We needed short-term storage and was very satisfied with this location. The staff, especially Wanda, was very helpful and accommodating. I was looking for a place to store my stuff for a month or so until I could move into my house and CubeSmart was the closest to my house. When I chose this location I had no idea I'd be working with such superb staff. Wanda was awesome and helped me with everything I needed. It was a hot day and she showed me my storage unit and gave me lots of helpful hints to get me through the big move back to Austin. I am so grateful to her and all of her help. CubeSmart was my first experience with self storage. I was moving, but there would be an interim period of a month before I could get into the new place. A friend provided a place to stay, but I needed a spot to store the bulk of my stuff. I opted for CubeSmart as they were close to my location, and had good reviews. Those reviews did not lie. I found some deals giving first month's rent free for various sizes. Staying for only a month, that sounded pretty good to me, and I honestly didn't expect them to be honored. However, not only did Wanda honor them, she found me a better deal on a bigger size unit (which it turned out I needed), and saved me about 80% of the normal cost of the unit I rented. Customer service was also pleasant and informative. Tony was very helpful when I inquired about using their moving truck, offering to double the rental time for the truck without charging extra. I ended up not using it, but the offer was there. I waited a while after moving to the new place to leave this review, just to see if any surprise charges or hidden costs popped up, and nothing has. In short, CubeSmart was a fantastic experience, and should I need a storage unit again, I'll be coming to these guys, regardless if the first month is free.

I was a little concerned being my first time storing something long term high value but was reassured that cameras and onsite personnel would both always be active. Finally my old baby cloths and photo albums are safe until I can rent out an old bank vault. Place smelled like dryer sheets too. Keep up the good work cube people!

The manager, Tony, ensures that this place sets the bar for every other storage company, and location, that I have encountered in my life. He was a dream to work with. Courteous, thorough, patient, speedy and thoughtful. When you're stressed out and tired from moving, that kind of encounter is an oasis. Make it easy on yourself and pick this place, and it's definitely worth it to call ahead and make sure you're there during Tony's shift (his name tag says Anthony, but he goes by Tony). I responded to an ad that offered a 10x30 unit for $175 per month, with first month free. Although Brenda was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and polite, the rate was higher than promised, there was a $22 "administrative fee" applied, and although we had over $2 million in business property insurance I had to agree to pay $12 dollars extra per month on the spot for insurance, that is unless I had a copy of the policy on me right then for proof. I was told I could come back later for a refund if I would bring the policy in. Again, real nice girl at the front desk and very apologetic, but the company policies are not at all customer service oriented. If not for the fact that our offices are just around the corner on Slaughter, I would have walked. Wake up owners, and learn something abut customer service and the fact that false advertising and hidden fees will cost you a lot in years to come...

I've had nothing but a positive experience from the Manchaca location. Tony the manager is very professional and helpful. Recently there was a leak after a MAJOR storm and water entered my unit. I was contacted immediately and Tony did EVERYTHING he could to make up for that experience including a new unit, a month off rent for the troubles, free use of their moving truck to shuttle my items around, boxes to replace those that were damaged, a pallet to stand my items on in case of a future leak (which I don't anticipate) and even offered to help me move my items between units himself if I needed the assistance. It's been a wonderful experience.

I recently moved back to So Austin and thought I would need a storage unit for at least a month. Drove around checking out places and let me just tell you, Brenda was so professional and nice and understood my situation, she got me all set up to unload my belongings when they arrived from out of state. About 3 days later, I was able to procure a place to live and did not need the large unit, Tony then helped me out and changed me from a large unit to a smaller unit, which is perfect for what I need now. I had some issue with the lock, since mine were all packed away on a trailer at the time and both Tony and Brenda totally took care of me. I will definitely use CubeSmart for all of my storage needs while in Austin and highly recommend them. Remember, you get what you pay for and they have been nothing but accommodating, gracious, professional and understanding...
