I had a hallway, climate-controlled unit. I think 10x16. Could've gotten a smaller one. Got this unit while in between moves. Now this unit is too far away so I'm getting a closer, smaller one at another company for storing several boxes. Pros • Customer service at various locations. I checked out this location and another nearby one and chose this one and customer service was great at each. • Promotional offer • Ease of access Cons • Some critters like grasshoppers but not many

The storage location that I selected in Wells Branch, Austin ,Texas was disappointing. When I removed my items, there were rats/mice droppings in both storage locations rented. Several boxes had rats/mice urine that soaked through and some was even found on the bottom of one of my mattresses. The rats/mice chewed through several boxes, although there were no food items, and the plastic cover of my mattresses. I am discussed by the outcome. Follow-up: I received a call shortly after the response post from Cubesmart. I assume it was someone in management or in a leadership position. Never once did she address the purpose of her calling me. When I answered the call her response was, "Did you call?". Really!!!? Worthless!!!! No. I. Didn't. Call. What was the point of her calling me? She added no value. She showed no remorse at all. The bottom-line is that I need to call my insurance. Cubesmart, hire people with better customer skills. She has none. I'm dropping my rating to a 1 ??. I spoke with the insurance company tied to the rental space and needless to say that there was a clause in the agreement that protects them from covering any damages caused by rodents. Renters beware! Here is a photo of what I found in one of the boxes. Disgusting...

I rented a unit big enough to fit everything from my apartment. I only needed it for a month while I was in between places. I have used cubesmart in the past in another state. So I chose to stick with this company since it's familiar to me. Even though there were other facilities closer.I love that there is a truck available for use to move in and out. The office staff was always very helpful and Friendly.

While management at the office was great & personable, their system as far as monitoring the state of your renter's insurance was not so much. It didn't matter if you had automatic payments and auto-renewals set up, the third party system would tell them your current policy expired and you'd have to provide new proof. If you ignored this since it's not true, you automatically are enrolled in and billed for their own insurance despite that yours didn't terminate. Also, the rent rate increases rose more and more every year, and then new for the end of 2022 they nearly DOUBLED their rates! Almost $170/mo for a 10x10 garage basically! No climate control, no or failed pest controll (had mice feces in mine despite mostly storing metal items, car parts, etc, as well as lots of spider egg sacks & webs, crickets, etc ), but somehow they wanna charge that absolutely crazy amount of money for such a basic unit of average size.

I felt really safe and secure there. I liked that it was gated, had closing hours, and that staff lived on the property. Also, I moved out during a long holiday weekend, and I was going to wait until Tuesday to call to close the unit- but the employees at the space called me on Monday morning to confirm I had moved out. They were on top of it- and I love that attention to the storage spaces. Also, my interactions with the staff there were always great. No complaints whatsoever.

This place is horrible, after a month on late payment they will add a additional $100 hidden lein fee and have your stuff auction off. What a waste of time talking with them and they would not negotiate a deal or try to help me get my stuff back. The guy at the front office was rude when he called me and his communication skills were horrible. I would not get a storage unit here. After paying, they will cut your lock off and have theres placed on the unit without any reinbursments for the lock. Also my nice bedframe was damaged inside the unit; as if a RAT was chewing on it with bite marks all over. I even talked with the district manager on the phone and she was also not helpful. Dont waste your money here or your personal belongings. They seem really nice at the beginning but they will try to keep your stuff. Sidenote: I even was trying to pay half the payment so it wouldn't get auction off and they would not let me do that!!! Keep Your Stuff And Go Somewhere ELSE!!!!!!! I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM EVEN A STAR. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY- SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Started renting unit 366 n 8/2017, planning 2 have it 6 mos. Well 3 yrs later, I finally have moved out! ?? The Mgr then was Chris, he went out of his way 2 be helpful. Once Sabrina replaced him, I experienced the same exceptional service. A leak developed & since I didn’t have the help 2 move 2 another unit, I was given a cost adjustment, just 2 mention 1 way good customer service was given. I live on a fixed income & they both helped me keep this 3 yr need affordable. I’d use Cube Smart again myself & will recommend them.

Easy self purchase on the website, very user-friendly! Gave examples of what you would need to store and what sizes would work, really helped me choose the best size for my items. I was able to store my items for a 11 months with only once was the price raised on me, communication was sent out WAY before it took place, only went up 7-8 dollars so nothing outrageous.

Sabrina was very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean, and there is plenty of room for your vehicle between one bank of units and the opposing bank of units. Also; if you can't a unit, they have a 15' cargo truck you can use! Very handy. There are stipulations of course.

This place is a shame! I never received such terrible service from a storage unit! The black guy that works there is very rude and accused me of stealing and even the manager of a dang on dolly! I have no reason to take anything from this facility! Then the manager called me to tell me he reviewed the cameras and saw I didn’t take anything! The black guy was very hostile on the phone with me and it didn’t make me feel any better after I just opened my account that same day! After I went by today I was accused again by the same person of taking a dolly after months then they closed my account without my consent and I still have the key to my unit! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to rent from this cubesmart! Just plain rude!!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND LIE TO YOUR FACE! I needed storage to manage a temporary move. Found this location. Advertised at 65/month and first month half-off! So far so good. I go there and they throw a $12 insurance/month on top of the 65 - something NOT listed on their website! Why would you add insurance when insurance is the very reason why I am storing my belongings in a storage facility !! At move-out, the woman manager there pro-rated my monthly dues, and said I would receive a refund for the period of the month that I had prepaid for. Well, surprise surprise! 3 weeks go by - no refund on my credit card statement. I call them up and the same woman says I won't get any refund, because I didn't give them a 10-day vacancy notice! How absurd is that????? FIrst, NOBODY told me anything about a "10 day notice" and second of all, she lied to my face when she said I will get a pro-rated refund!!!!!! Then she says "I will send this to our corporate office and call you back tomorrow to let you know what they decide." 4 days later, obviously - no call, no email, no nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. Furthermore, when I came back to move out my stuff, my lock had been tampered with !!! These fools are not even BBB rated - I can understand why! I never leave bad reviews, because I am an entrepreneur myself and know that it can hurt your business, but the way this woman treated me is OUTRAGEOUS. I am going to their corporate headquarters with this soon.

I DO NOT recommend this place. They are extremely unprofessional. I had scheduled my move in date and they decided to cancel it. The people on the front desk are useless and unprepared. There are multiple storages around Austin so please save yourself some time and pick another one.
