The manager of the facility is extremely unprofessional. He ran out the office chasing us yelling When he got to us he was yelling at me with a attitude talking to a grown man old enough to be his father. When i tried to calmly reason with him he turned up his yelling & attitude and threatened to throw my client out of the facility We just moved in out. I referred this client to this storage unit, but never again. He is also extremely rude to his employees. He has no business managing anyone. He will run off repeat business and employee retention.

DO NOT RENT HERE - Dirty Scammy Storage CubeSmart has low intro offers and because they increase your rent every 6 months. My price hike was $11. I started at $57/month with a mandatory $12 “protection plan”, so I was paying $69/month. At the 6 month mark they arbitrarily increased my base price to $68, making my monthly rent $80. To put this in perspective, I rented a larger U-Haul storage unit for $89 for 2.5 years right before I switched to CubeSmart because I moved. The price never fluctuated. If I kept the unit at Cubesmart for the same length of time, I’d be paying $124/month for a smaller, poorly maintained unit. Also, I truly despise working with U-Haul. They have terrible business practices and try to steal money from you. But CubeSmart is just as bad if not worse. When I called to discuss the price with the manager, he argued with me that these rent increases were standard practice (untrue), that U-haul must’ve gotten me in at such a high price they didn’t have to raise the rent ever (also not true as I was close to paying the same after 6 months at CubeSmart that I did for over 2 years at U-haul), and that there was nothing they would do to reduce the price. He told me I could move out if I didn’t like it and go somewhere else. So…that’s exactly what I did! Also, when I moved my stuff out, there was rodent poop all over the floor and my belongings. U-haul at least provided some pest control by placing traps in the storage unit. I never had any poop in my storage unit there and it was all the same stuff that I was storing. When I addressed this at the office the front desk employee gave me a blank stare, offered no assistance, no compensation, and told me that the “protection plan” I was forced to sign up for didn’t cover that. They also claim they are top ranked because of their customer service and I’m sorry, but that’s a lie.

Absolutely terrible, condescending service at this location from Michael. I could already tell from the get-go that the conversation wasn't going to go well based on the tone, but Michael proceeded to insult my inquiry by explaining how walls work. My question was based on pricing relative to existing versus new customers, which as an existing customer, is usually fair anywhere you go. I actually enjoyed CubeSmart up until this point and Matthew, who I usually spoke to at that location, was great. I'd recommend a different option (there are a TON in Austin) if Michael is now managing this location.

Everyone was so helpful and friendly including head manager. I was able to rent online for a touch free experience. And even when it was time to move out they called me on the phone to verify and closed my account over the phone. Love the variety of sizes of cubes and being climate controlled. I moved to PR and had my card stolen... he was tremendously helpful in doing everything he could to help me not lose the only belongings I had left to my name!!! He saved my life. 12 days into lease my INSIDE locker and six others were broken in to. And the way management handled it was ridiculous. It happened at 3am and I did not get a phone call until the next day at 4pm. I asked for a free month or my money back for the month and they declined. WOW

Do not ever do this online. You will be left holding the bag (literally) on moving day, as no one at the facility answered the phone or was able to be located onsite. Cost us more than $500 in moving expenses, as the movers waited!

I will never choose CubeSmart again. There would be times where I tried to pay my bill and nobody be at the front desk. Here I am, having to pay extra for a late fee or something because their short staffed. That’s not fair. I also hated that I couldn’t pay a portion and come back and pay the rest later. There’s no Apple Pay. You have to have debit or credit or even cash. CubeSmart was extremely inconvenient for me.

I recently signed a contract with cube smart, I was very nervous at first because I have never rented a storage unit and I had to Do this quickly. First want to mention that from the beginning my experience was wonderful the person that took my call her name was Tatiana she was very knowledgeable, fabulous, kind, patient, and very helpful. I then Called the manager of the site to ask questions She was very friendly and knowledgeable of her area she answered all my questions I needed to know and she also told me that I could call her if I needed assistance while I was unloading my items. When I went inside the storage unit I was impressed of how clean it is and easy to find in a building full of storage units. I definitely recommend Cubesmart to friends and family for their storage needs. So far so good. Thank you Cubesmart.

I will be ending my storage contract once the month is finished! Loved this location but prefer not to be micromanaged. Good place for storage but the customer service is definitely hit or miss. Super nice and cordial when they need your money but after that....mostly unavailable & condescending. The bathrooms also need more attention ....pretty gross scenes i’ve walked into on multiple occasions.

I was supposed to check-in to my new space after signing up and completing all paper work on line. The office was supposed to be open from 11- 3 today (Sunday). We got there about 2:30; but the office was locked. We waited, with 2 other customers, until 3:00 and then left. Hopefully, the facility will be good enough to be worth the move-in hassle.

Fantastic customer service!! Ester gave me a tour and showed me how everything worked, including where the bathrooms are and how to exit the property. Miranda helped me when I realized I had to switch to a bigger unit, she took care of everything over the phone and got me all set up so that when I showed up Sunday evening with a full moving van we could unload directly into my new, bigger unit. These ladies were super help, cheerful, and a pleasure to work with.

I rented a space at store 0917 through the website and from start to finish once we got to the store, the service from the sales associate was horrible. Unfortunately we did not catch her name. My partner went to secure everything and was told that the price would be more than double what was quoted in the email. He went back and forth with her before getting so frustrated that he called me to see what I wanted to do. I asked him to give the sales associate the phone so I could speak to her so he put me on speaker. I let her know that I had the confirmation email pulled up and detailed out what it said. She said she doesn't know what's on the website or in my email and she can only offer what they are doing in the store. I offered to forward the email over to her which she said was fine, but it wouldn't make a difference in the price she is offering. I asked her why she doesn't have the information about the reservation and the price that we were quoted which she responded by telling me that they had just opened and clocked in and she has the reservation. This was happening around 10:30am which store hours are listed at 9:30am opening. Finally, she told me that she offered my partner the 1st month free versus the 25% off which we set up on the website. Since I handled the reservation, he wasn't aware of what offer we used and only the price. I once again asked her why she didn't already have this information on hand and she said she didn't know. She also had mentioned on the phone with me that we would have to leave a $100 cash deposit for the truck rental. We discussed this in detail because I let her know that there was no information about that listed on the reservation or site and she kept repeating "$100 cash deposit". She took this as me arguing with her and tried to tell me that a deposit was standard which I said that I understood and just didn't see why it wasn't stated in the reservation or on the site. At the end of the conversation that I unnecessarily had to be brought in on during work hours, she let me know that she would honor the price that I originally signed up for and that it would require a $100 cash deposit for the truck. Then, he came back with the $100 cash for the deposit and the same sales associate began to argue with him again. She told him it was actually $110 and the extra was for the admin fee. He let her know that was not what she said and she had only informed us of it being $100. They went back and forth for a while and she kept telling him that it wasn't her fault that he wasn't listening and that he heard wrong. Finally someone else came to help and let him know that they would charge a $90 deposit so the total would be $100. Thank you to whoever that was. Lastly, she told him he was required to add the monthly $12 protection plan and made it sound like there were no other options so he ended up adding this plan, however after calling the customer service line, I found out that if you have self storage covered through your home or renters insurance (which we do), you don't need to add on this plan. It would have been helpful if there was detailed information stating that this was something that would need to be added-on on the website or confirmation email. I ended up sending them a copy of our renters insurance and had to call back to confirm that the $12 fee was refunded/removes, which it was although they hadn't contacted us about it to notify us. Overall, we are very disappointed by this entire experience so far. The reviews for this location were great, but this was over-the-top ridiculous. We are also going to consider other storage facilities due to this experience. I immediately emailed their management as well as the feedback email through the website and have not received any form of communication back by either phone or email from either.

I rent a storage space at the location on Ben White Blvd in 78741. I wanted to downsize and tried calling/emailing the location various times with absolutely no response. I ended up having to go in person this past weekend in order to speak to someone in-person. I mentioned to the rep that I had a hard time getting ahold of them and it didn't seem like there was any interest in explaining why. Every time I've been in the office it is relatively quiet and I can't imagine they're so busy they can't answer an email or a call. Disappointing that it is so difficult to get hold of a rep there.

I initially reached out to another storage company, but received no help whatsoever, so when I called CubeSmart my hopes weren't very high. To my surprise they were extremely polite and helpful. They went out of their way to make everything as smooth as possible. The Manager was kind enough to give me a tour to show me the unit, had me try the keypad code so there wouldn't be an issue when I needed entry, and taught me the easiest way to lock and unlock the unit. The facility itself is very clean and tidy. I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs storage space!

Esther Forster is very friendly, kind, warm hearted person. She greeted me the first day I open the account here. She takes her time to explain everything to me, also introduce the nice places to go and visit in Austin! For the first timer to Austin, it’s a great help and warm welcome. Very costly storage unit. Cost goes up yearly. Need to evaluate what you have in storage a see if it is worth the cost. Also to many codes to push in . Gate, door, elevator and even a code to exit , They also have keys to your unit and I found Drugs in mine that someone had gotten into and had a little smoke. If they will smoke dope in your unit what else will they do

First off, Omar Rocha and Denise Schultz were amazing help when it came to paperwork and questions. Omar especially was very cooperative and quick to help us check out the free moving van when we were in a time crunch. Second, the self-sustainable system they have running in the building is something more retail and commercial buildings need to get into. They take advantage of reusable water, electricity, and solar power to run everything. In Texas, this ends up becoming almost 100% self-sustaining. Also, you get to keep and reuse the lock you have to pay a fee for when you first lease a unit, so don't let those first-time fees discourage you.

The Elevator is set to close quickly. it crushed me 4 times and would not keep open to geThe terms and charge for gasoline in the van is ridiculous. 25$ per quarter gallon. Really. That is ridiculous. Your office people are nice and the facility is clean.

The storage unit is great but I wasn’t given many details when I signed up. Was just told to keep pressing next on the keypad until I got to the end. The person checking me in was extremely unhelpful and was supposed to show me to my unit but headed off too quickly so I lost her and had to figure it out for myself.

Worst experience ever! They don’t try to help you. They lie to you and say FREE use of truck and next day when you call they tell you it’s down for maintenance. The manager is very rude himself and basically won’t even listen to what anyone Has to say. I advise EVERYONE to keep there money and go somewhere else. I’ve told of my experience and they said they’ve had similar incidents, wish I was made aware sooner that they basically SCAM you. There not even a one star but unfortunately that’s the least it lets you do. Again people save your money and go somewhere else!!!

To start off, the person helping us didn't seem to know what he was doing, kept asking for my name, wasn't sure the size I had reserved a week before, was painfully slow at entering the information on the computer.... Then as if all that wasn't enough, we go to inspect the unit they have for us... and we find the AC isn't even working in the 'extra cost' climate controlled storage. It was 99° that day, had to make 5 trips on the elevator to a crazy hot 3rd floor on a 99° day here in Austin Texas... Lucky I didn't give 1 star. Cheers

I worked with Anisha during my check-in, and Kevin during my actual move-in date two days later, and both were absolutely wonderful. They provided some of the best customer service I've experienced in years, and the whole process was flawless. Both were attentive and welcoming, and ready to answer any questions I had. The unit itself is in a great spot, climate-controlled, with good security (cameras everywhere, code-only entry, special locks, etc.). I moved my whole apartment into a 7.5' x 10' cube, and genuinely feel that it will be safe and in excellent condition for the duration of my lease. Thank you, Anisha and Kevin!

My stuff occupied a CubeSmart 10x10 for a few months, and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. From my initial phone call to reserve a storage space, to the wave goodbye after I ended my lease, all of my interactions with CubeSmart staff were more than satisfactory—they were genuinely pleasant. The friendly atmosphere was more than welcome. So was the helpfulness and professionalism. I never felt like anyone was trying to squeeze more cash out of me—the management seemed more eager to help me avoid overpaying. Speaking of paying: I found the online payment system super convenient (automated payments!) and easy-to-use. The facilities themselves are brand new, so they were excellent compared to other self storage places I have been to. But, I would expect that these facilities will remain very nice for quite some time. The hallways are spacious, clean and well-lit. Plenty of dollies are provided to help you wheel stuff between your storage unit and moving truck. The elevators are big enough to fit anything your heart desires. And the cheerful pop music is turned to just the right volume to alleviate the slog of moving day without becoming irritating. Most importantly, the facilities are super secure. The entrance and exit gates to the storage facility both require codes. You also enter your code to enter your storage building itself, and then once again to get on the elevator. It seems annoying to enter your code so many times, but once you memorize it after your umpteenth trip up and down the elevator, you hardly notice that you are typing it in. The only negative that I would note: There is not a lot of space around the storage buildings. I would hate to be there during an unusually busy time, since not many trucks can fit near the building entrances at once (maybe even just one at a time). Getting there in the morning would be wise.

I learned, while in the process of renting a storage unit, that this CubeSmart location requires renters to purchase one of its branded-locks for $12. This should have been explained to me when I made an online reservation for a unit, and when I spoke with a representative at this location via telephone. The lock itself doesn't look like it provides a great deal of security. Very shady of CubeSmart to further profit off its customers in this way by 'requiring' their lock without making this known at the time of reservation. Outside of that, the facility itself seems nice enough. Its Eco initiatives seem a bit superficial, however. Let's see how long they stick with it once the carpets inside the facility start turning nasty. Also, some directional signs need to be added to point customers to the correct storage unit. It's a maze otherwise.

Nicest storage facility I've ever been to and very helpful and friendly employees. Matt was very polite and nice and got me the unit I was looking for. Perks of this storage include air conditioned units, motion sensors and lots of windows so the units don't look scary. They do require renters insurance which is $12/month but that's not really a bad thing. Also this place runs on solar panels which is extra dope.
