Fix the front gate. I had to enter my code 4 times today before it would open. This has been a consistent problem since I first got my unit. Fire your management while you're at it, they aren't doing you any favors. Once I move out here, I will never do business with a cubesmart location again.

We are moving to this facility due to displacement from a UHaul facility near I-35. We have yet to fully move in, but the difference between the UHaul we're leaving and this CubeSmart we're moving into is night and day - it's much brighter and cheerier than the UHaul facility and Norma, the manager, has also been really helpful. I experienced some issues with my access code and she has been friendly and quick to get it resolved. While it was ongoing, she was communicative and regularly gave me updates. She's been great to work with!

This location of CubeSmart is TOO EXPENSIVE!!!! Our tiny nonprofit paid nearly $190/month (started at $89/month only 14 months ago) for a tiny 4 x 8 unit. RIDCULOUS!!! They seemed to raise our rate bimonthly! Also, our unit was in the basement just off the back elevator. The elevator broke and was not fixed for MONTHS. Since one of our volunteers loads up our AV equipment for our 2x/month meeting, it was an unneeded hardship traversing the length of the building. The fact management failed to get this fixed for MONTHS is yet ANOTHER REASON I would NEVER promote this location--or CubeSmart in general-- to anyone.

Our unit, along with many at this location, was broken into and vandalized this summer requiring hours of sifting through the damage, replacing what was stolen, filing police reports, and generally coping with the fallout. In consideration for the inconvenience, I asked for a refund on the single month that they allowed this to happen. I was told no because "legally we are not responsible for criminal activity on our premises". While I suppose this is technically true, it was still shocking that they felt no obligation whatsoever to offer anything in the form of recompense.

They overcharged us, refused to accept any responsibility, or credit the overage amount, as well as they attempted to lie about the unit being trashed which luckily we have photos that was not the case. The lady at the office was extremely helpful. She navigated me throughout attaining a storage space, answering all of my questions. My only concern was that I did not realize the cost for locks, insurance and rules for evictions. Doesn't the facility carry insurance to protect customers?I have heard of break-ins all over the Austin area. Or are customers paying the cube Smart insurance?

This place is horrible. I work sixty hours a week and a month into having my unit you want me to come in and verify my property. Then you tell me the property is a drive on property only and that with out a car I can not rent from you bc the street you are located on is very busy and it's dangerous. Took 40 min from initial inquiry to getting the keys to my unit. The workers were extremely helpful as there was no one in the office & I was able to rent a unit in no time. The first floor has plenty of dollys and we were able to move everything in my apartment in a little over an hour.

NOT a place I would use again. Since we started here (in 2019) our rate had almost doubled from $170 a month to $290. Once you get set up in the unit they Jack up the prices cause they know it’s a hassle to leave. We set up autopay and had a credit card expire. We went to the office multiple times to pay but there’s never anyone at the desk to take the payment. Emailed coordinated times to come and even they they weren’t there. This is a SHADY business.

I’ve been renting from CubeSmart on Burnet Road for about 5 years now. I have work files stored there that I continue to use from time to time. The staff and General Manager are very kind, the space is always clean and has music playing so that it’s not creepy while I’m working. ?? I just rented an additional unit and they gave me a great price. If you need to rent some space, they are really awesome and they have locations all over town.

Updated: District mgr reached out and resolved this, clarified package policy was accurate and local staff was confused. I was able to receive a refund for my rental. Facility feels new/nice, but carts are metal, hard to maneuver or broken and 1 elevator, 1 bathroom broken every time I visited. add 2nd star for fixing mistakes. Beware sketchy business practices. Website advertises services they don't provide. Will not accept packages. Who knows what other parts of this business don't actually happen. Make sure you ask about any service you intend to leverage as they change policies and don't change their website. Site manager can't be bothered to explain or respond with anything but a canned answer.

Good security, but try to get a unit on the 1st floor. 1 (out of 2) elevators was always out of service and made it inconvenient to navigate to my unit on the third floor due to the many other users trying to get to their units. Also, the moving carts are completely abused, some of the wheels were literally missing and they make horribly loud noises as you attempt to drag it all the way to your unit.

They aren’t terrible, but with rent increases over 20%. You’ll quickly get priced out unless you have a lot of disposable income. CubeSmart found a way to further exploit the renters market. Additionally, during the freeze in February 2021 we received no formal communication about a flood that had happened in the basement (where our unit was) until two weeks after showing up to access our unit and being told that it was inaccessible without providing any details. So; maybe think twice about renting here!

State of the Art Facility, Next Generation Security, Unparalleled Customer Service, Prime Location. Stuart and his A team almost-literally rewrote the book on bending over backwards to be of service, meet any needs of mine, while providing an excellent and safe experience for me and all of his renters. The units are far more secure than I imagined and, as a whole, Security is on call 24/7 and it's definitely far a superior Security and access system compared to any storage facility that I've ever used! The entire complex is immaculate and the location is right downtown but still provides easy access to Mopac and I-35! But if you do decide to come check them out, make sure to bring your payment; because they will not let you down! ??

The one month free is a bait and switch because once you pay the fees and insurance it is not really free. Why do we pay the insurance? I do not own the building- the owners should absorb the insurance risk!

I rented a 10x10, climate controlled, drive-up unit for a single month while I looked for a place to live. The facility was very clean and easy to access. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would rent a space here again if the need arose. A couple of things to be aware of: 1) the keypad for opening the gate is tricky to reach, so prepare to either climb out of your car window or leave enough space so you can open your car door to get out. 2) parking can be tricky around the back of the building.

Esther, the general manager,, is an incredibly professional representative of CubeSmart. Her kindness and compassion for ultimate customer service and satisfaction were like none I've ever experienced before. I will not go to any other storage facility than CubeSmart ever again in my life after my visit with Esther!

I gotta say it - this is a fantastic storage place and the staff is super helpful. Extremely clean. It easily accommodates an 18 wheeler moving rig so don't be afraid if you need this place for temporary storage while you look for a home in Austin! Bravo, people.
