My unit was robbed and I had over $10k worth of items go missing, including an expensive electric bike. The manager notified me a few days later, and requested that I "come in immediately" so that I could take stock of what was left. When I started asking how this could possibly happen, given that the building is supposed to be secure behind a gate and several layers of defense, they said that "it has been happening for a while and they don't really know how they keep getting in." I asked if they could share some of the security footage, but they refused. I suspected that it could have been an inside job, but once I talked with the staff I started realizing that thieves have a way of getting into almost any unit by prying open the door and then climbing over gaping holes in the fence. The thief wasn't able to break my lock to get in, but the cheap storage unit bays have bolt-on security latches and the thief is simply able to remove that latch and get into your stuff. I then spent about 15 hours of time following up with the police, store staff, and escalated the case up to the district manager and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to apologize or make the situation right. They wouldn't even give me a refund for months of rent! They started spewing the same corporate babble about how I "could have purchased a protection plan" from them. Their protection plans only cover $2k in losses and they are a profit-center for the storage unit. The plans run about $20-40 per month and have lots of carve outs for what is not covered. I am thoroughly disappointed by the level of service that I received here, and will be moving out immediately. This is truly run as a cash cow and the store's owners do not care about the customers or their well being at all.

Don’t store here. This place is riddled with burglaries. We got broken into twice. First time we lost about $8k worth of musical gear cause there was nothing in between the top of our unit and the ceiling. Just a big open 2 foot or so gap that is only about 7ft tall. I didn’t know to look out for that. Okay fair. BUT no cameras on site despite people constantly complaining they were getting broken into, no security at all! The “fix” after the first time we got hit was to put 2 little aluminum bars above the units. (Not all of course) which about 2 weeks ago got literally ripped off from the wall and we were robbed again. Again, no cameras, no added security, nothing. We moved out ASAP after that. Also cherry on top, when I was trying to figure out why there was nothing, while talking to the manager, he just complained about the corporate folks not being willing to pay for it! Cmon man! Cube smart, you stink, stop being greedy and protect people’s stuff!

Always great service by the manager and the other employee that work here. I stopped by on Saturday morning before the office opened at 830am and was going to drop a box by to put in my cube. For some reason my entry code would not work at the gate. The manager opens the front door of the office before they opened to assist me with gaining entry. Luckily my cube is right behind the office so he let me inside to drop my package and was on my way! Excellent customer service as he could have sat at his desk and make me wait until 830am to help me resolve accessing my cube. Thank you!????

A unit on the same floor had a roach infestation issue. I was offered for my unit to be sprayed and a month free rent. 6 months later and the free month has not been reflected. Went to speak with new storage manager and was told this will not be honored. This week it was brought to my attention despite dropping off my renters insurance to the previous manager they failed to upload it and since 2021 when I opened the unit, I’ve been charged $12 additional each month. When I asked to be reimbursed and showed proof of the renters insurance I was told they can’t return being over charged. I’m paying $80 for a 5x5… I asked yesterday if I can move to the 5x5 insight that’s listed for $41 and was told no. This place has terrible customer service. I would NOT recommend to anyone.

I have used many Cube Smarts all over the country. This one doesn’t require a code to enter through the double doors so their carts get stolen. Their solution is that you have to check out a cart at the office. They only have carts available from 9:30am to 5:30pm and they’re closed on Sundays. Absolutely terrible. There are a bunch of other cube smarts in the area. Go to another one.

I specifically chose this facility over numerous others because of the option to secure a unit and gain access entirely online ahead of time, so that we could quickly begin packing up and storing precious items following a house fire the day before. After receiving our confirmation email with access instructions and codes, we loaded up a full truck of storage bins and packed boxes to store. When we arrived that evening, exhausted from the packing process, the codes did not work. There was no answer on the phone. There was no help to be found, and we had to find emergency, temporary storage elsewhere (in a friend's garage). This was a huge difficulty in an already difficult situation. When I finally spoke to someone nearly 24 hours later, there was no apology or accountability whatsoever. There was no concern for our experience. All we got was "there was a gate issue." For a company that touts its "award winning customer service" our entire experience was completely subpar and the only person we spoke to, apathetic. I would highly recommend you find storage elsewhere.

The facility is immaculate! Brightly lit hallways and flawless white coat of paint on everything. Smooth hallways for the dolly carts to access. Overhead rolling doors operate smoothly. Spacious elevators. Units themselves can be stacked over 10 feet! Fairly secure system. Only two things I would change is adding more cameras (at least at bldg or elevator floor access) and to have a solution for customers who get locked out of the building at closing time while they still have their unit open.

Beware the one elevator. They’re elevator had a maintenance issue that took weeks to fix which meant everyone on the upper floors couldn’t access it. Besides the maintenance issue Cubesmart is one of the best storage offerings. You should just be cautious using any storage building that has only one elevator to your unit. Also this one was always short on carts, I think there are two or three total between the buildings which isn’t enough. Bring your own cart in case

The service at CubeSmart is terrible. Do not store your items here! The manager messed up my account three different times. I spent over six hours working with her to just have my account placed in my name properly…. And after 1.5 years, it’s still wrong. The elevator has been broken for an entire week. And we were unable to move. I waited over four months for movers and then could not get my stuff out of this building. As well, we were trapped on the third floor when the elevator broke the first day. We were unable to get out of the building because all of the stairwell doors were locked from the exterior. This is a blatant fire hazard. This company is dishonest, unorganized and refuses to reimburse for over $2000 in fees I had to pay the moving company.

They even have a handy utility cart available to use so youre not making as many trips at every entrance. Pretty lit if you ask me.

Kathryn helped us check in, and she was very nice and easy to work with. There were a TON of people renting new units when we arrived and since only 1 person is allowed in the office at a time due to covid, we had to wait a little while, but Kathryn was working as fast as she could. She was very communicative if she had to leave the office to help a customer at their unit and notified us when she returned and how much longer we might have to wait. Very pleased with their service. I also prepaid for the months we need the unit, so we're guaranteed a locked-in rate. Very pleased.

This was simple. Not familiar with the process of renting a storage unit Dawn the manager explained it step-by-step. The facility is spotless. Like brand new. I would recommend CubeSmart and especially this location for your storage needs. Thanks Dawn and CubeSmart!

My most favorite storage place since 20 years ago and now I have mine in the walking distance to Where I Leave I love the people I love the place and so clean so decent so organized and climate control I can't believe I got the same size as the stories that I used to rain for $145 way to home Southwest Austin and now I got the same one for $20 more climate control my stuff stays the same as I left in there not melted that's all I can say is so far

OMG, you have to work w/ Jonathan at this location. He is so helpful, patient and good natured. Great employee, great service, clean and organized facility. Dawn is the location manager and she is terrific too. Needed short term rental, they handled and laid out all the costs upfront so there were no surprises. It was a hot day, and they offered bottled water to me and my crew. Just the best folks. Will rent again from this location. See ya again soon.

I needed to some storage space for work. CubeSmart had the size we needed at a great price. We were able to lease the space without much advance notice. Dawn, the manager was a pleasure to work with. She was able to answer all of my questions and satisfy the needs of my organization. Even though the paperwork process was a little long, she was very apologetic and offered me a bottled water, twice. The storage unit and whole facility is very clean! We just rented our unit, but I got a great first impression of the site, management the company and the .location

Dawn was extremely helpful in assisting me with a remote lease. I am based in Seattle and was not able to get in to town right away to sign all the lease documents in person. She walked me through the lease over the phone and made sure everything was set with my unit. Great communication and pleasant experience all the way around!

Great facility & great staff. Dawn, Donna, Jonathan and the rest of the team were all superb! Jonathan really bailed us out - he was a tremendous help. This really made our daughter's move into UT a success. We'll definitely use CubeSmart again if we need storage space. Thank you team! I've just started using CubeSmart off 35 & Oltorf and couldn't be more pleased with Dawn and Jonathan's service. My movers coming from California weren't easy to work with, they needed extra space and extra time during the drop off and they were SO accommodating! Dawn even offered to stay an hour late for us!! Unfortunately it ended up taking an additional 3 hours of time past closing but Dawn and Jonathan stayed with me and held up their positive attitudes the entire time. I cannot thank them enough for their help that day!!! BEST BEST storage facility ever!

General Manager Dawn Malagarie was a wonderful help. She took the time to explain everything to me. Sizes available, Accessability. She had great suggestions to simplify our move in day, such as filling out the paperwork prior to move day, which we did. The facility itself is brand new and clean and secure.
