I use my unit for my small business and the services I’m able to receive here help me in my business. If anyone would have asked me to rate this place several years ago when I first started using this place, I would not have been able to give them this high of a rating. I had a very bad experience with this place. I received terrible customer service from a person who once worked here who I found out was stealing from my unit. But fast forward past a lot of relationship mending and outreach from CubeSmart upper management I’m still here. I’ve been through quite a few associates. I’ve never had such professional, friendly and courteous interactions with anyone at this place as I do with Emily since she has been working here as an associate. She’s the reason why I’ve recommended this place to my colleagues and friends and she’s managed to really change my negative experience here to a positive one. Also, aside from the convenient location, this place is safe, clean and they are very accommodating. I highly recommend this place for short or long term storage needs.

If you are looking for convenience, any customer service, or even a shred of humanity.... do not get unit here. Emily has been a very rude and combative "manager" who has made every step of engagement with the facility a nightmare. She chooses to call herself a manager yet offer no solution or support following a problem due to staff negligence. Claims she to be unable to give any information to contact a superior who I'm sure would love to rectify the situation. She has bad reviews going back 3 years, so obviously, ownership doesn't care about customer service. Just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. I am.

Not a great start. They quoted $117 but with all the hidden fees add ins etc it was $168. Deceptive practices. Then we find they can raise the price at any time. Then we arrived and the place was not open when it was supposed to be. When the employee appeared, she was overwhelmed with phone calls and customers. You don't get the feeling the corporation treats their employees well. She even mentioned that corporate doesn't even warn them when they decide to raise prices. That said they get an extra star for sweet employees who did their darndest to help us. Turns out she wasn't late but dealing with equipment failure. Alone.

This place is dirty. Employees are lazy, elevators are never working always breaking. They recently had a couple of days of burglaries. Instead of replacing the damaged, and jeopardize doors. They just bend them back in place. The structure on those doors are no longer the same, they have weakened but yet they charge you insurance, and will up your rent if you stay there for an extended period of time. Please stay away.

DON'T STORE ANYTHING HERE. It keeps getting broken into, and then they'll tell you that they're sorry it happened and they're not liable for loss of property. They probably have something in their customer contract that protects them from legal reprisal, but the matter of fact is that they're not providing a safe place for their clients to store their valuables, and as such, it's entirely possible they're engaging in false advertising if they describe themselves as a safe storage facility. So don't store anything here. Don't trust the owner of this franchise, and save yourself some money (And keep your stuff better protected!) by going somewhere else.

Sean, who answered the after-hours 800 number when I asked for help after being locked out with my belonging still inside the glass door just after 10 pm last night, was cruel and unprofessional just because he could be. Despite my purse, wallet, keys, and an entire cart containing my personal belongings locked in their building, just 3 feet away from me, leaving me stranded and alone, Sean refused to provide me with a temporary PIN code to open the door and instead dragged it out for over an hour. When the store’s manager, Aubrey, followed up this morning to give me my “first and final warning” for being on site after 10 PM, that was my last straw. I’ve been renting the unit for 14 months and have spent almost $700 on it, yet I’ve never once used the office or met any of the employees as I rented the unit is contactless and use autopay on their app. This only made the abuse that was aimed at me last night and then again this morning more confusing and more disturbing. I will be moving out of the unit this month, and while I hope this was an isolated incident, somehow, I didn’t get that vibe.

Cube Smart on S Congress is is a nice facility, but it's just plain wrong to double their fee with less then a month's notice. Would not use them again for that reason alone. Response to your response to my reveiw: Oh the managers were very nice and totally sympathized with my frustration.. They felt really bad they had to enforce corporate policy. I understood when you raised it $10 or $12 after a year, but going from $85 to $160 overnight with less then a month to find a new place is just plain GREED, not just to cover increasing costs. And not allowing them to pro-rate a day by day charge if a person goes a day over their stay is just more of an example of corporate greed.

Staff has harassed my business partner after watching cameras to see he did not personally escort a guest out of the gates. After we left, they charged a $30 fee for not notifying, even though the previous GM verbally said we didn't have to give notice, to just remove the lock and clean the unit.

Communication issues with management and sales representative regarding specials they were running. I was told by management I was trying to “cheat the system” when trying to upgrade to bigger unit with the special. Ultimately, I received a call stating his statement was incorrect and they could accommodate the special for the larger unit. When I showed up in person, the management did not look up with my information, but stated he had just reviewed my account with representative and could not utilize said special. However, I could utilize the special if I would like to add the same size unit I am currently in. I stated I would shop around. The manager responded in a condescending tone. Thankfully, I found a unit in the area that price matched the special and stated how I could utilize specials in the future for their company if the need arose.

Cleanliness, structured, and presence of staff can be seen on premises. The only bummed part was they've changed BINS! Before you could OPEN the bin and toss the card board boxes in. But nope... on my last day, they changed the bin lids and it was padlocked. There were no slots for me to slide in collapsed cardboard boxes in the bin. BUMMED... WHY?

The staff was always very pleasant and willing to help with whatever questions I had. When my renters insurance expired, I was notified, and they gave me options to use, until I realized I had already paid mine automatically and just needed to send them a new copy. (My bad.) Great place. Price is reasonable and competitive for this type of storage. I use this unit as extra craft storage. I access my unit 1-3 times per week and never have any issues. Plenty of close parking available. Every building is locked with a code as well as the gate. I always feel safe.

The facility is in outstanding condition! Very secure, clean, and the AC is nice and cool. They had multiple loading carts for each building which was so helpful. Elevators are spacious and quick, ensuring an easy move. When you arrive and open your unit you will find a surprise goody-bag complimentary of the staff. Very happy with my experience!

I had a terrific experience with CubeSmart all around. Number one, Cecilia is extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Second, the website move-in was very easy. I got a great discounted price on a month-to-month lease, set up payment, and on move-in day, I got to the unit and the lock I had ordered was inside the unit. Couldn't imagine things going more smoothly. And, it's a relatively new facility, very clean and climate controlled for the same price as I was quoted for non-climate controlled units at a less convenient location. I highly recommend this location!

Great to unload near the door. Units are new & clean. No code needed to use the elevator which saves a lot of time if your paying movers to go down or up. My first time renting climate controlled storage, and I was completely pleased with the CubeSmart on South Congress in Austin. I believe it is known as store 5418. The staff there made everything easy for me and was always welcoming when I came by which was pretty often. The facility is sparkling clean. We used CubeSmart when we needed storage in between apartment leases. For the short amount of time we used the storage facility the price was great, and the 10x10 unit we rented was perfect in size for all of our boxes and furniture. Neil, the manager, was super helpful and kind in setting up our rental and made sure we were satisfied with our unit before moving in all of our things. Throughout our use of the storage unit we did not feel worried about having our possessions stolen because of the numerous security cameras inside and out that feed live surveillance video to the large TVs in the office. For these reasons, we highly recommend you use CubeSmart as your storage solution!

I was able to store my stuff over the Summer, they provided the perfect unit. They answered all of our questions and allowed my parents to arrange everything from CA so all I had to do was drop off my things. It was secure and clean. I would recommend them to any student.

I left my lock key and car key in my storage unit one night and couldn’t get back in after the access hour. I returned in the morning 5:30 am to try my luck. Karin was already there because they saw the footages from security cameras. And she let me in and helped me get the keys and car. She arrived 3 hours earlier than her shift that day in the office just for my incident. I can’t thank her enough for her and her team’s unmatchable dedication and excellent customer service.

The employee checking me in, Neil, was very professional. However, I am very disappointed in the company. I did an online reservation and did not realize I would have to pay monthly storage on my unit. I had tried reserving with other companies before choosing Cube Smart but decided not to go with them because during the reservation process it did state I would be required to pay for insurance. Your reservation form does not state that boldly at time of reservation. Neil did say it should be on my reservation form. Yes, in tiny print at the bottom it does state I will have to purchase insurance monthly. The other companies had a place to choose which insurance plan I wanted during the reservation process. I feel your company wasn't clear until check in. Of course, I was pressured to rent from you at that time because of time. However, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT i will use your company again for storage needs.

Price was right, very flexible with advance reservation (not all CS locations have the same advance time frame), clean facility, easy for my movers and with excellent management (thanks, Karin and Neil). When choosing a storage unit, there is JUST so many options and I was so overwhelmed since it was my first time. I decided to go with CubeSmart because they had the best deals and the location was convenient. The whole transition from booking to the place to moving my stuff in/out was so smooth and easy! The staff are readily available when you need them and are there to answer any questions you have. The place was secured, clean, and felt very safe. If I need to a storage area in the future, I will definitely be coming back here!

I initially choose CubeSmart on South Congress because of the location, but I will continue to recommend them because of their truly wonderful managers, Neil and Karin who go above and beyond for their customers. I have moved a lot and in doing so I've used many different storage units all over the country and I have NEVER had a better experience! The facility is incredibly well taken care of and clean. The facility manager, Karin, is polite and incredibly helpful and professional. They answered all my questions and I'm really happy I'm storing here. I feel confident that my things will be protected and safe. The surrounding property and parking lot was also really nice and well taken care of. Definitely recommend storing here! My unit is a really great size for the price and it's easy to access. Karin even gave me a map to show me how to get to my unit so it's easy every time I go!

Excellent customer service and easy access to storage units. Our 18 wheel truck was able to pull right up to the unit and move everything in quickly. The facility is brand new and state of the art. Locks used here can’t be picked or permeated. Air conditioned units with superior quality are hard to find. I highly recommend this facility.
