If I could give no stars that is what I would do! I have been at the Cube Smart Storage in Balch Springs since December 2022. There have been several break-ins in which stuff was stolen and/or the lock panels cut off. The person from Cube Smart that left the voicemail to call back to the office was so nonchalant. When questioned about if law enforcement was contacted and police report filed, I was told that since no one was injured they did not file a report. I asked if the people were caught on surveillance cameras. I was told they were not. It sounds like an inside job because if you have cameras and somehow no one was seen on camera, and you aren't able to track when the last car checked in on the panel then why am I paying almost $200 for a storage unit? I advise anyone to avoid the Cube Smart in Balch Springs and the one located next to it.

DO NOT RENT HERE. My mom arrived to check on her storage today to find out all her belongings were stolen, and they did not the even call my mom to inform her of when it happened. My mom also notice a different lock on the door , when she inform the office they mention to her they don’t use those locks but had a key to open it. Rachel is the property manager did not want to help when it was brought to her attention bc she was in a “meeting”and had a poor girl who just started a month ago telling her what to say instead of jumping on the call. I asked her for her district manager number and did not want to provide it, until I told her I found it online. Very bad service, my mom is sitting here now with all her belongings gone.

Cube smart has helped me since 2017 wen I first got it and has always been pretty reasonable wen it came to late payments they still gave me more than enough time to pay on it I just wish I could have been able to pay in partials through out the month instead of having to pay it all at once. That's why I lost everything cause I wasn't able to make the hole payment at one time on my last month their if they would of let me made small payments throughout the month I might of still had a chance to recover my belongings but it's ok I guess I got a long life ahead of me an more stuff that I'll be able to replace someday

I know this isn’t a temperature controlled place but I had my stuff there for about 6 months and there was a leak in my unit . 95% of my stuff was ruined with water damage and mold. Stay away. My husband went one day to get some stuff and he told the office and we went the next day and nothing was even done about it. Pulled all my stuff out that I could safe.

The security at this facility is atrocious. Dozens of units were broken into and ransacked and several work vehicles completely cleaned out. Luckily this time we were sparred. They gave no notice to the rest of the renters and no increased security measures were implemented. Very little maintenance or upkeep is made at this facility and there is virtually no monitoring going on. It will be a roll of the dice if you stuff will be stolen or not. Do Not Recommend.

This place is not safe for anybody, i recently lost 90% of my tools, thieves get in there anytime they want, no cameras, no security guard; anybody can get into cubesmart behind customers. I don't recommend this place at all when it comes to storing vehicles. I recently had my vehicle and trailer stolen from this facility. Found it weird that employees reach out the same day it was stolen but I've never been notified that it's gone when I go get it. Also, they never bother to contact you with any footage updates, so I call and they tell me they have more important things to attend to over my stolen vehicle and trailer. I found out the hard way that this place has a very high theft rate. Even my detective on the case says they were told they need a warrant for the footage. This place comes off as if they're apart of the scheme and plot when people's goods are stolen. Reached out to the actual owner and he questioned how I got his info, I'm just that smart. They don't care about their customers, long as they're covered in the contract as at your own risk, they could careless.... beware of this place.

DONT TRUST WITH RESERVATION OR BOOKING. I have tried to call main store but no one received call then I called them on call center and reserved a unit starting with 22 and I can hold the reservation till 19 but 2nd day I received a call and the manager was telling I can't hold the storage more than 2 days and even I have to start renting on 14th which I have no use ether I had to start rent in 2 days or cancel it, she told me the website and call center don't have current information and she cant do anything.

If could this place need a negative star review besides that the management onsite is rude a d after someone broke into my family’s storage and stole over 10k worth of things they said they couldn’t check the cameras because they were to busy but yet when the cops arrived they changed the narrative. They said someone asked to open the storage and they didn’t check for Identity or any thing to make sure it was a their storage and what a coincidence the cameras show nothing! This was an inside job this has been the 2nd time they break into the storage unit!

I CAN’T give this place a good review since they do not seem to care about security. Our property was broken into and vandalized recently. Site personnel did not seem concerned about this and just shrugged it off like it happens routinely at all storage units. They did not seem to want to engage law enforcement although we did notify the police. When inspecting and repairing our damage we talked to multiple other customers who have also experienced break-ins and damage. I don’t know any nearby customers who have not been vandalized. Management was supposed to call me as a courtesy. I expected someone to tell me how they take these incidents seriously and what they’d be doing to improve security. However, management never called me! Very hard to believe that management didn’t call a customer after a security incident!

I was denied access to entry and exit on the 21 of December even though the month was paid until the 31st. I wanted to make sure I didn't leave anything behind after I moved out the Saturday before.(there was a big dead rat in the storage with my furniture) I went by there and called on the 21st no one was in the office. Called and went back by on December 22. I drove in because the gate was open. When I got ready to leave of course my access code wasn't working. Attendant drove up to gate. Saw me sitting there then drove off. So I drove around where she was to ask her to let me out. I was trying to get her attention. She looked right at me and drove away again on her cart. Finally I got her attention and asked her to let me out now. Was told by attendent "damn I'm doing my job checking locks." Bet! -0

This place was terrible I started out paying $120/mth for a 10x15 size. I moved to public storage where j pay $20/mth for a 10x10 unit. At this hickory tree rd location in dallas,tx. My final bill was $180/mth theyd gone up on the rent multiple times. They only do partial payments if you go to the physical location they dont even tell you this when you sign up and then you can't make partial payments or payment arrangements. I did upgrade on my storage room and manager forgot to take lock off storage unit and I was not happy customer cause o couldn’t do anything cause it was after hours but finally the night manager open the door and went took off lock so I could put items inside what a relief

Clean and the management very friendly and helpful. The cost is normal. Not too expensive for nowadays. Convenient facility to get in and out right off the highway. I feel safe every time i have gone through the gate. And i am happy that they do not allow anyone in after 10:30pm. It for sure does not welcome any type of unwanted people that way.

Just got our cube at the Balch Springs location, and we couldn't be happier! The location of the facility is very convenient! The staff was amazing. We worked with Adolfo. He was very friendly and professional. They showed us to our cube and it was very clean and just the prefect size. The climate controlled building was very comfortable. I was very impressed with how quickly and easily we were able to sign the lease to get the unit. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes including the tour! The facility and the units were very clean and well kept. The security system was great! Cameras everywhere, along with a functioning gate system to ensure safety of the customers and their property. All of this at a very fair monthly price! I would recommend them to anyone!

Friendly staff and clean facility. Oh, and good rental rated too! What more could you ask for? Fenced and gated with each renter getting their own unique entry code. Manager lives on site and there are numerous security cameras.
