CubeSmart is the best! Here's why. 1. Their prices are competitive. 2. The place is new, clean, and extremely secure. 3. They make it quick and easy to become a customer. 4. They are centrally located in Bastrop - right on 71 5. They continually inspect the premises. 6. They conveniently stock boxes and packing supplies. 7. My story: After moving hundreds of miles away, I stopped by to get a few things while in the area. However, I was in a hurry and didn't lock my unit correctly. Although the padlock itself was locked, the hasp wasn't correctly positioned. Fortunately, Angela and Rebecca discovered this immediately while conducting a check and notified me. They got everything locked up for me and spared me from having to drive nearly 500 miles. These folks are genuine professionals! Thank you Angela and Rebecca at CubeSmart! They didn't ask for them, but CubeSmart deserves all 5 stars and then some!

Rented a storage unit here for 2 years, only checked in on my things once and I just cleared it out a day ago. I was worried that my belongings were going to be damaged or etc. and they were all in great condition since when I left them there. DARRELL IN THE BASTROP LOCATION was very nice and friendly. Helped me with a new lock and instructions of clearing out my unit and closing my account. He was very helpful and patient. His customer service gets the 5 stars! The only thing I disliked during my time with them is the rent amount going up a few times during the years and also wish they had more carts to help move things in and out from the storages, especially for everyone else that is not on the 1st floor.

When my son and daughter in law were getting a divorce I asked my DIL to put my son's belongings in storage. She chose this facility. It was in her name but I paid for it each month and I had the key. I drove 14 hours from Tennessee to get my sons things yesterday. I removed what I could but then decided to leave the rest of the clothes/shoes for my grandson. In the meantime I had left the lock with the key in it on the ground. My friend who was helping me accidentally stepped on the lock and broke the key in it. I spoke with the manager and told him I was going to let my DIL know that I had got what I could and that she could come get the rest and then she would sign an abandonment form so they could sell it. But in the meantime it would be unlocked. He was super cool. Five minutes after I left some psycho called and started screaming at me at the top of her lungs that I had cut the lock off and broken into the storage and STOLED my DIL's things. I tried to explain the situation but she wouldn't stop screaming saying she had video footage that I cut the lock off. She even called my DIL and told her the same thing! Then she started screaming that she was calling the cops on me. Never let me get a word in. She said she was the GM! SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Also they randomly raised my rent twice in an eight month period! I will not use Cubesmart again.

At the end of November, I reserved a storage unit with CubeSmart in Bastrop and was told by the manager, Teresa, that I could get a refund (for the first month’s rent that I paid at the time of reservation) if I wound up needing to cancel it. The following day, Teresa was out, but I spoke with someone at the facility to confirm that I needed to cancel my reservation and have a refund processed. I was first told it could take a couple of weeks to process, but after a couple of weeks had long come and gone, I was told it can take up to 6 weeks. It’s now been 7 weeks. No refund. I called Teresa Dec. 15th to check the status. She told me she submitted the refund request, but it’s up to their billing department to process it, and it’s out of her hands. Her statement at the end of the call was, “I promise to follow up with you next week.” That was 5 weeks ago. I still have not received a call from her. I tried following up on Dec. 22nd and was told Teresa was out, so I requested contact information for their billing department to follow up with them myself. At one point in the conversation, the girl I spoke with told me she wasn’t allowed to give out the billing department’s contact information. At another point, she told me she didn’t have the billing department’s contact information. She also told me she had no way of contacting them herself. I finally just had to dispute the charge with my credit card. The amount of time I spent following up with CubeSmart to get absolutely nowhere with them is ridiculous. I will never do business with them.

DO NOT move your stuff into this facility. The AC was broken in my section for I don't even know how long. It is not properly climate controlled nor do they keep proper control of the humidity. I had mold on my things earlier in the year and told the facility. I wiped everything down and they said they would remedy the situation. They did not. I came back to check on my items again and had mold all over my things a SECOND time because of this place. Again they did not take action so I moved my thongs out and had to wipe everything down AGAIN! Do not rent here. They will also tell you that YOU are responsible for mold, not them.

If I could 0 stars I would. I paid for a lock from CubeSmart and was given a green lock that is coded by them. I took pictures of my lock each time I left of the numbers I left it on. Every time I returned it was on different numbers. I bought my own lock and added it to the unit because of this. When I went back to get something out of my unit, my personal lock had been removed and the green CubeSmart lock was replaced with a silver CubeSmart lock. I didn’t have a code for this new lock and was never noticed of mine being or needing to be cut off. Luckily, after some arguing, I got the CubeSmart lock cut off and all of my things where still in the unit. However, someone had definitely gone through my things.

Don't rent here if you want your stuff stolen and your rent to go up every 3 months. Never anyone in the office and they say they close at 6 but I've been there at 5:30 and the office was locked and dark. The bathroom was disgusting and I couldn't reach the paper towel dispenser because it was so high. Definitely not ADA approved.

my storage unit was broken into and the cameras aren't working when advertised 24 hour surveillance. I'm a truck driver and was in the middle of a relocation. took me for almost everything I had to my name. Don't even bother reaching out to insurance, this is an inside Job facility.

Nobody likes to store their belongings but sometimes we have no choice. My experience with CubeSmart’s Ben really made it easy. He’s very professional for such a young guy it’s so gratefully appreciate. He went above & beyond to make sure I found my unit by even walking me to it for the first time. He’s very kind and seems to really love his job. Please know what a great employee you have him in. I feel safe and secure having my belongings stored with you all. Guys behind the counter. Checking in he switched me to a unit close to door seeing my age and motion with out saying anything. I couldn't get seats in car so unload and reload would be impossible in future. Cancelled returned lock unopened and unit unused guy asked if he could help made suggestions but I told him it's ok. Its clean unused rent to someone that can use it lock also. I'm good dumb idea us women get .

They charge a lot of fees. When you get a unit they want to charge a $24 admin fee. They will tell you they enrolled you in autopay, but they don't and then charge you a $10 late fee. Then we you register online and set up auto pay they charge you $1.82 mobile app convenience fee. There are a lot of "fees." I hate companies that are deceptive and do this. When I registered my unit and looked at my contract the attendant added a lock fee without asking if I had my own lock. The lock was $24- thankfully I had my own lock- so bring your own lock. I wont be using Cube Smart again. Everything else about the unit is fine.

Rented an indoor unit and had no problems. The facility is kept very clean. The temperature control did its job. I never had to worry about my stuff because there are a bunch of cameras and all of the doors are locked. Every interaction with the staff has been pleasant. Would rent a unit here again!

Rent is way too expensive & the rent goes up about ever 6 months. I was inconvenienced by having to move my items out of my storage & into another storage because of a leak in the ceiling that was leaking brown liquid down into my storage unit. I happened to stop by my storage, which I rarely do & saw the puddle of brown liquid on the floor & the dripping from the ceiling. Thank goodness my items weren’t damaged, but they would’ve been had I not stopped by that day. This leak was something the company was already aware of prior to putting me in that unit because you could see the tape that they tried to use to patch it, instead of fixing it. Well I guess the tape gave out. We pay way too much for this fairly new & over priced storage, for the management/owners to be cutting corners by being cheap & not repairing things properly. I was given the option to get 1 month free rent or to pay movers to move my things & be reimbursed down the line. But “not both”.

We booked online and told the guy what all we had to put in storage. The guy gave us a unit that was way too small for $178. When we tried to upgrade it, it was an additional $198. This is wayyy over priced and when we found a cheaper unit, we found out that they don’t give refunds. How nice. So now we are out $178, and didn’t even get to put all of our stuff in the unit. We now have to pay even more money to get a larger unit elsewhere. Would not recommend them to anyone, and will steer anyone else looking another direction.
