Drove in from Houston today to take care of my storage to get some things out for winter and get it straightened up. Go to my storage and realized I left my key in Houston. Call the office talk to Randy. He said he could cut my lock off and sell me a new one. Randy was super cool and very helpful. I greatly appreciate too smart and their excellent staff.

Updated review- we have had our items there for 4 1/2 months. They had a price increase, which I get. However it was a 30% increase!! We called and spoke to corporate. They referred us to the local office. No one felt that increase needed to be adjusted. I can accept a 10-15% increase in this economy but 30% is robbery. We will be moving out as soon as possible and we won’t be using them again. It’s too bad. We had such a nice experience at the start…. Prior review: Randy was very helpful! He was patient and answered all our questions.

Nice customer service people at the facility. The price however very rapidly continued to go up. It is as if they punish you for any longevity of renting from them. I felt like they wanted me out of there quickly because I started at less than $100 a month and ended up at $200 a month for a 10x10 unit. To me that's crazy. I could move to the unit next door and start my pricing over but I have to move all my stuff. So just be aware that your discount price doesn't last long and they certainly make up for it as quickly as possible

I tried to go with local shops but nobody would answer or return phone calls. CubeSmart answered within minutes and I was able to reserve, receive an email to complete the agreement, and obtain a code, map, and helpful information shortly after. Your guy who is working today always cost me almost an hour to check out the truck to move. That was I told him I will report the situation that he always paid attention to his personal cell phone in which he got calls and texts all the time. I told him I do not time to wait for his personal issue resolve to get the service. He is in the working hour, he must understand Cubesmart customers must get service first. I asked him to check out for me 2 more cubes, as I did have my oldest son to help me move today. Your employee tried an easy answer so he did not have to work: go online to check out. I told him, last time I did, Jorge must cancel the order and reorder in the store to make 2 cubes added to the same account instead of the third one. I told him he needed to take time to learn a new thing and focus on Cubesmart customers and the Cubesmart tasks. For the Insurance, he asked me for insurance paper again. I told him I sent to him via email and rent truck all the time ( like every another week last 2 months), it should be kept as a file and I do not have to do it over and over ). With the threat to report to corporate, he then put his cell phone on silent and go to find the copy of the insurance when I download and resend the insurance card again to the Cubesmart email. I made one trip, from 2501 Dies Ranch to my son's apartment storage at 2850 S. Lakeline Blvd and back to 2501 Dies Ranch. The time he burnt out from me has made me lose the second trip and we moved only 1/2 of my son's 10x20 sf storage, mostly ceiling lights, books, and clients' files. When I was back, I wait 30 mins to check out the 2 cubes but he was not there. So, I went to unload instead. Then I went to put full gas, which cost me only over $2 for 8 miles trip! The door was locked very often today. When I came in, it locked. When I came back, it locked. When he dove around to check for storage, his cell phone was on speaker, but he was so busy with someone else, too, instead of checking the chart. When I came in as he unlocked, I handed the gas receipt. He refused to take and wanted the picture of the meter first. I told him to hold it for me because it was so windy and I did not want to lose it. Actually, taking picture of the meter to report was his job. When I moved some empty boxes for next Monday use to my van, he came out and made a claim that I drove more than 600 miles. He said he got the contract written down. I told him I did not care what he wrote, but I do have a picture when I was out of the gate. Also, I told him, "you are crazy." No one can drive 600 miles in 2 hours unless I can fly! Also I have an iSharing app that can notates where I went and how long with a map for 30 days history. I showed him the app and the map with time, mileage, and the speed I drove (43 miles per hr), but he kept continuing to insist that I must responsible for the mileage that over 50 miles free! I suggested that the meter was broken, but my app document the fact when and how much I drove that truck. I called the police. As soon as I called the police, he called management. I guessed, Dorothy. After talking to Dorothy, he wanted me to hear that he is OK and he wanted to go home. When the police came, he then turned the claim that "she is OK." Hell NO, he owed me an apology! And, I want this constructive feedback to reach the Cubemart CEO. Thanks.

The other positive reviews are accurate. This is a great storage facility. Location, overall cleanliness and friendly helpfulness of staff are all strong points.The rent raises aren't my favorite feature, but I got in at a decent rate a couple years ago and my 37% (over 2 years) increased rate is still a good bit cheaper than the current market rate, so I can't complain. There were a few mouse droppings after 2 years without anyone visiting the unit, but just in one area, on the floor. All of my things were fine. Despite that one issue, it's the first storage unit I've had that I actually don't mind visiting regularly.

Kathy, the site manager. There are many places we can store our "junk" and I simply chose the one closest to us. Kathy took the extra time to make sure our 5x5 (smallest unit available) was good, noticed some wasps nearby, and ensured everything was good. I made an almost random choice, and am very glad I did!!

Shelli made sure that all my needs and questions were managed and her customer service skills are excellent. Shelli makes leasing a storage unit as pleasant as one could hope. The staff worked diligently to get me signed up as I was in a huge hurry to get my movers working. They were courteous and went out of their way to go to the store to get bee spray for the three nests that were on the above doorway entrance. The space was perfect for our property. This is the first time I've had to rent a storage unit in over 20 years. Just moved to the Austin area and chose CubeSmart even though it wasn't the closest to me. Their pricing seemed very competitive until...If you don't bring a lock WITH you at time of contract...you pay. If you don't have insurance coverage...you pay. Ok, not happy but moved ahead with the deal because I had stuff that I needed to store that day. Now after three months their "great price" just got jacked up by more than 40%! I'm out of here as soon as possible. Sounds like a bait and switch to me. Get you in the door...hijack you as soon as possible. I'm very disappointed. Hopefully I won't get rat/mice issues as mentioned in some of the other reviews about this property! I modified this post from 1 star to 3. The staff there always seemed friendly, but I just don't like the corporate policies. Ended up moving out because the prices just kept going up and up.

I am so relieved to have found this CubeSmart location! I feel my belongings are super secure as well as myself in visiting this particular area in the late evenings. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Want to be held hostage? Use CubeSmart! We pulled in with a huge moving truck full of our stuff, and the cube we had rented earlier that day still had its lock on it, and the office had closed. We had to wait an hour for someone to come unlock it, when it was supposed to be left unlocked for us. Then the gates closed for the night and the manager was supposed to give us a temporary code to exit, but didn’t, so after moving our stuff for over 2 hours, we had to wait over 30 minutes sitting in our car at the gate for them to let us out. One star rating does not do justice to how disappointed and angry I am with the horrible experience they caused. As if moving is not stressful enough as it is!

Friendly staff. Responsive to calls. Facilities were being cleaned prior to moving in on short notice. Minor gate issue over the weekend which was fixed by start of business Monday. Very happy so far and great value for the price.

Shelli Harrison and Kathy were very helpful every step of our transition from several storage rooms to two. We were not a simple move. We are very happy to have our belongings under one property. I was looking for a safe, nice and affordable place to store one of our cars for a few months and was lucky enough to find Cube Smart! I drove over and met with their GM Kathy Browne, and after a few minutes, I knew that I had found my place! Not only was the facility very well cared for, but Kathy was a pleasure to work with. She found me a perfect spot, at a great rate for my car. I parked my car in a 10x20' indoor space, put my lock on and was off, and could not be happier! The paperwork was easy to fill out, and Kathy made it all a very a smooth and very easy process, so I definitely feel good about recommending this place to everyone!

This was the best customer service I think I've ever had. Kathy was so friendly, helpful and down to earth. I felt like I made a friend. She was very informative and took the time to show me around and explain everything to me. She was excellent. The facility was very nice, clean and easy to get find my way around. I don't think I've ever been this impressed with a storage facility in my life.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. They have a rat problem that they will deny, while using poison pellets that obviously do not work, as they will end up in your furniture and boxes mixed with rat poop. When they finally stop denying it in the face of physical evidence, they will refuse to talk to you, let alone to come up with a solution to the problem. Even if that solution is as simple as, "replace our brand new sleep number that is now ruined and we will deal with replacing the rest of our property, which is also now ruined." And the replies they send about "we would love to talk to you about your experience" make me scoff out loud. They don't want to hear it and will roll their eyes at you as you talk to them. Great customer service tactic, by the way.

The staff were very accommodating. I like the climate controlled drive up storage units, not having to load and unload a cart to move items to interior storage.

I had a great experience here. Kathy was amazing and did a great job to get me in on short notice. The units were clean and Kathy went out of her way to show me around and explain everything. Horrible experience. Rat & mice infested! Our family rented a climate controlled unit for three months and when we came to empty the unit every surface was covered in rat & mice droppings. Every box, appliance, bookshelf and mattress had mice feces no matter how high it was stacked. The manager Bryce even came to see it and took photos. We had to trash a ton of stuff and our kids' beds. We stored no food, frigs or edible items to make sure this would not happen. Avoid this place at all costs.

It's a storage place. All units are pull up so that's nice, but at the end of the day it's still a storage unit.

I have to say that the General Manager was out of this world. I came in at the last minute and she was more than accommodating. I am so grateful because the day I was having I really need some uplifting. Thank you so much for the hospitality and compassion. The unit is amazing! It is brand new and off the beaten path. The pricing is very reasonable! All in all, I am more than pleased!
