I would never rent at a CubeSmart. They have no customer service. My unit is Dallas was broken into without forced entry and everything taken. And still trying to collect rent from my company when told no longer needed and manager confirmed would stop charging. No return phone calls. No reports or pictures given for the theft.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR ITEMS THAT YOU ARE STORING HERE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER STORING ELSEWHERE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Store at your own risk. My unit was broken into and no one notified us. Still have to pay to get a new lock. Extremely disappointed with the facility. Whether it's the local management or the corporate office, we are paying a high rate of "climate control, secure" storage for not having climate or secured storage.

My aunt’s unit was broken into, she was never notified by the staff via text call or email, and they told her she needs to buy a replacement lock. We asked to see the security footage but were told the device that holds all the security footage was missing. We were told the previous manager had some sort of theft ring running, and they were allowing people to sleep in their units. The new management has cleaned it up but the lack of support and customer service my aunt received was not very good so she will be taking her business elsewhere.

I had an awesome customer experience with Cube Smart I was greeted. I was shown my unit and had the option to select from two different units. I selected the first that I was shown. I was able to sign my paperwork and was able to move my items in immediately was provided my security information and again had immediate access. A very happy customer service experience I had.

So she ask that I come in on Saturday which I did she present unit and it was to my satisfaction. She drew up paper work and I was immediately able to move my things in. I recently moved from Georgia to Texas and needed storage for my belongings. Initially, I planned to continue using ExtraSpace Storage but was deterred by their pricing tactics; they attempted to charge me over $300 for a second unit, despite the first unit of the same size costing only $100. Frustrated, I switched to CubeSmart, hoping for better service and a lower cost—under $300 for three units. This decision, however, led to a series of regrettable incidents. While at a conference, I coordinated for my movers to deliver my possessions to the CubeSmart facility. Upon their arrival, they found the facility unattended, despite visibly spotting an employee inside the darkened office who ignored their knocks. Forced to step out of my conference, I tried to contact the facility without success. Eventually, I escalated the issue by directly contacting CubeSmart’s upper management, which prompted a reluctant response. When my movers were finally able to access the units, they were appalled to find human feces in one of them. When they reported this to the facility attendant, they were met with hostility and threats of being expelled from the property. It was also disclosed to me that the facility had a homeless encampment at the back, with insufficient security measures leading to frequent unit break-ins and visible damage. My own unit had been broken into by the time I arrived in Texas, the lock cut and items shuffled. The attendant nonchalantly mentioned the regularity of such incidents on that side of the facility. Additionally, I discovered a prison shiv on the premises and observed signs of people living in some of the units, further indicating severe security failures. After our house was ready, as I moved out my belongings, I realized that several items, including a new $1,500 grill, were missing—likely stolen given the circumstances. My attempt to claim these losses through the insurance I purchased from CubeSmart turned into another ordeal, ultimately leading me to give up in frustration. In a telling interaction, after reaching out to CubeSmart’s leadership via text for help, I received a call inquiring about how I obtained their contact information rather than addressing my concerns—a clear reflection of their priorities. This entire experience has left me deeply disillusioned with CubeSmart. Their handling of security issues and customer concerns was not only inadequate but also dismissive. I will never use their services again and strongly advise against trusting them with your property.

Not good. Nobody available at office AT 4PM on a Tuesday, hours state until 6. Nobody will answer from calling. Personal lock to unit has been removed, no correspondence as to why. Units appear to have broken in to, some garage doors are completely destroyed. You will not receive any notification if your unit or lock has been tampered with. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I have a unit here and I'm rarely pleased with this place. I have a business and use it to house my inventory/ supplies. When I go, it's rare that someone is in the office so that I can use the dollies they keep there. The bathroom is on the second floor and stays locked, so you have to hope that someone is in the office to get the key to go back up to the second floor to use the restroom. I've gone many times and couldn't access my unit at all due to either power outages (understandable) or "building repairs"... that one made no sense or the gate being broken. I rent a climate controlled unit because I store photo booth equipment. Last summer Dallas got up to 115 degrees a lot. There were many times that I went to the storage and it was sweltering inside. Thermostat was on 80!!! I've written emails to customer service, never once heard back!

One word to describe Cube Smart is terrible, inconvenient & they need a major upgrade. Can’t access my online account to pay your storage, if you call 800 number customer service will transfer you many times or/and place you on hold for a long time constantly, ridiculous & inconvenience. If you need to adjust your account, you have to call the site manager or staff for everything! So what point of having a online account when you the customer can’t adjust your account? You have to call the storage site for everything! Ridiculous, inconvenient & need a major upgrade on everything since you have to call them for everything

How in the world did this place get a 4.7 stars reviews? Did any of you guys actually got a unit here? Cause a storage facility with over 10 break-ins in less than 6months much much more in the past year , Caneras don’t work or does not save recordings when they actually do .gate doesn’t work and is open for anyone to drive in at anytime of the day even past 10pm (yes that’s right) I have seen many unit la being vandalized over the past few months yet none of the security measures that would justify such high prices have been improved . My units also got broken into and it is curious how it seems that they know almost every time which unit to hit and what to grab , Also the same items clothes , shoes, electronics unit 76” led screen weighting over 40lbs are being moved outta units without being noticed the burglars even changes your locks and it really feels like they sometimes moving stuff to other units on staff and can hit your units back to back for days until they cleared everything they wanted. Yea m surprised there is not more comments about that as they happen all the time you only gotta be a tenant here for a month to meet someone that got hit. 4.7 stars ?!? The place doesn’t even have trash cans you can find trash right by the door sometimes . This is clearly misleading. When renting here know what to store and get a big insurance . You ll need it. Store your things here at your own risk. My storage got broken into and all my 5 big bags of clothes, shoes, documents, military uniforms and other things were stolen and I didn’t even get a call from the manager or anyone from this place. Items worth over $3500 stolen. My laptop was stolen too. Some other storage was broken into as well. And that’s not even my lock, the thieves(of them) took my lock away. The cameras in the hallways don’t work, worst place ever to keep your things. Go somewhere else

Prior to the last 2 months I have made all payments to CubeSmart on time. January and February rent payments of $130 per month are due. Today is February 7th. On January 10, 2022 I received an invoice for $270 with payment due on January 31st for January and February rent. On February 5, 2022 I received an invoice from CubeSmart for $395 which included additional fees, a notice that my property is pending sale, and underlined text stating “All payments must be made at the Store in the form of cash, certified check, or money order.” This all occurred after missing the January payment and February payment being 5 days past due. When I rented the unit I paid online and checked in using their touch-free service. We are in a pandemic and they have not had any return checks from me. So, the only logical explanation is they are hoping I am out of town and can’t make an in-person payment so they can sell my property. Two more days have passed and on February 7, 2022, I received another invoice. This one is for $585. This company has questionable practices. They aim to extract as much money from some customers as they can and then sell their property hence the rapid application of excessive fees to make payment out of reach. Penny wise and pound foolish. Because these very customers won’t give them repeat business or referrals. I have a much larger storage unit with another storage facility chain in a nice area that is truly temperature-controlled, costs $25 more per month and not once have they pulled anything like this. I’ve been a customer of theirs for over 5 years. If they were in the same area of Dallas I would have used them again. Ethical business practices matter. Buyer beware.

My last visit I needed to transfer my unit and it was no where near as seamless as when I first came when I was dealing with Marty. The staff has changed and everyone seemed to either still be in training even the managers. They we’re not very professional, I was not greeted when I walked in The person helping me either couldn’t hear me or wasn’t paying attention because I had to keep repeating myself and unfortunately I was in a hurry. The lock I had from my old unit wasn’t compatible with the new unit which frustrated me because I called the day before to try to figure out what all needed to be done and was just told it needed to be in person. So I ended up having to buy a new lock making the one I currently had useless. I was asked to leave a review when I obviously did not look satisfied with the service. I came in expecting Marty service and didn’t get anything near that. The facility is neat and the prices are decent but have a list of questions ready because they will not explain anything.

Revised 8/6/22: I had to update, new mgr from the original guy, now overcharging me for Aug.bill when I moved out in mid May to my new apartment. I even told him in May I might need a truck because I was moving out that month. They have cameras and saw me moving plus he texted me and I emailed him I wasn't there anymore but Cubesmart is still sending me a monthly bill folks. Be warned shady business practices poor service . I'm not paying storage fees months after I moved out. Your secure cameras are my witness to this hustle for more money.

Martin was very friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. They require insurance. If you don't buy it from them, you have to have proof of your own insurance. This was not explained ahead of time, so I had to go home to find proof of my insurance. After the paperwork was done, he walked me to the storage unit, and we found it was already in use by someone else. He said that happens sometimes. I don't know why their computer does not know which units are in use. He quickly transferred me to another unit which was actually empty. They do have a few wheeled carts, but they might be anywhere in the building, so hard to find. They do offer "free" use of a moving truck (actually $100 cash deposit, and $10 admin fee), but they allow only one person per day to use it. You need to reserve it ahead of time if you want to use it. He said they normally raise the rent (10%-15%) at 6 months, and yearly thereafter. You can pay for a year's worth in advance to lock the rate in, and they give you the 13th month free. Overall, a good experience, and recommended.

1. Very difficult to find an employee in the office 2. No carts available for moving. 3. Mold was found on some of our furniture (temp controlled unit) 4. Keypads need replacing as some of the numbers or symbols are rubbed off. 5. Turns are not wide enough for an 18 wheeler to make the corners safely. 6. Too expensive for the problems we had. 7. On a good note the property was kept clean. 8. Corporate was responsive but it was too little too late. 9. Even with the negative problems the location was excellent. 10. Lastly the front office was always very clean & organized.

This place is clean for the most part; however, they gradually increase the price and they have issues with their gates and doors. Additionally, they do not freely give out dolly’s to move your stuff. Imagine my dismay when I was attempting to move stuff and they didn’t have any mechanism to help make my move easier. They said they took them up due to people stealing them. Don’t punish people who are paying for a unit.

There is a homeless man living in this building. Even though there are numerous camera, management says they cannot find exactly where the guy is living. Tonight the man tried to get into my car while it was inside the gated area. (I was sitting in the car at the time) I have previously reported the homeless man to management, and they told me to call the cops. I just wish they would hire a security guard or some other deterrent to keep him out instead of expecting the renters to deal with him on their own.

I wasn't able to use the free truck because they were all reserved so I'd recommend calling ahead to ensure. I didn't so that's on me. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. They were eager to answer any questions and if there was a question or issue with the locker they were very helpful and willing to assist. The facility was very well maintained and we witnessed the hallways getting vacuumed during several visits. The temperature was also very comfortable and there was even music playing through speakers in the hallways.

The most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with. The unit I rented was broken into TWICE in one month. Their district manager is by far the most worthless individual I have ever worked with, according to him you can't see the video footage of a person breaking into your unit to steal your belongings. This is all on top of what can only be described as predatory pricing and a very murky way of setting up their billing. Do yourself a favor and go 5 blocks up the street to a storage unit that isn't a gaping hole of inequity

This is my first time getting a storage. The amenities were the same as competitors but at a lower rate. The best deal was offered to me through their customer service representative without asking. The manager said I could not use the truck because I didn't have car insurance. while I don't even have a car to have car insurance. I only live two blocks from the location. So I had to go through the trouble of getting a U-Haul truck and paying for it to complete my tasks of bringing my stuff into the storage facility. He called me again on Sunday to check with me. I went on a Sunday and was welcomed by another person, I think her name was elizaEliz but I'm not sure. She was very nice and took the time to show me two different storage. The place is very convenient to access and I like the fact that there are elevators and tools to carry boxes. I rented from public storage before and it was only stairs and there were nothing to carry the boxes... I got a very good price for a 5x7.5 storage with one month free (only administration fees to pay).

I dreaded having to find a storage unit. My past experiences with other companies were never pleasant. I stopped by CubeSmart and braced myself. Chris W. was so friendly and helpful! I even did price shopping in the same area and CubeSmart was approx $10 cheaper for the same unit per month. There was even additional savings because the first month was free. The contract and fees were easy to understand. I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. All of the units are located in a controlled environment - which I also like. My experience with this company was better than I ever imagined.

I had an excellent move in experience with this facility. It is so clean inside. It is a little maze like inside. I got overheated and I was able to rest in the air conditioned office until I could continue. The people in the office were really helpful and kind. Edit; This place has raised my rates by $20 total in about a year. $10 at a time. If i knew they would keep raising rates I wouldn't have moved in.

It was easy to get signed up for a storage space here. This is a fairly new facility, built by CubeSmart, not an acquisition. This make it better because the newest way of storage is available such as carpeting in the aisles to keep dust down, snug storage locker doors that roll easy and don't move side to side so much. The security access is better because you need access to get through the gates and access to get into the building (this eliminates the possibility of people coming in off the streets to sleep inside. The facility has good visibility from I-635 and it is not tucked into some obscure area.

I don't often have a pleasant surprise when I have to make a rush purchase, but this was a delightful exception to that rule. I purchased my storage space that was needed the following morning and was tickled to find that it was clean, new, spacious, safe (cameras everywhere and gated), and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I almost want to bring people by just to show them my cube. You won't be disappointed if you choose CubeSmart.

I have used CubeSmart for the past 7 months and love their facilities. The ceilings are taller than other storage facilities, and allows you to store more. I am relocating to another CubeSmart facility that is closer to where I recently moved due to their excellence in customer service and their previous facility. The newer unit has a sprinkler system in the unit, which is a definite plus. The only drawback is that I cannot choose my own passcode. The plus to this is it is a harder passcode which makes it harder for anyone else to access. As long as I need outside storage, my choice is CubeSmart.

Chris was extremely helpful in selecting a unit and setting up a great deal. Was previously set on renting a climate controlled unit from U-Haul, but after talking to him on the phone he mentioned some specials they were running and were able to beat the competitions price. Upon arriving at the facility, Chris took the extra time to show me around the entire facility even though his shift was ending. Great service, great facility!
