I utilized this Cubesmart location as a temporary storage to stock books. Logistic wise it was a better fit for me than having a storage in Austin which is where I primarily have books shipped to because P.O. Box location. Book sales are limited in Austin though as Dallas, Houston and a few other cities have better customer demographics to my titles. The Cubesmart location made it easy to stock books in Dallas, pick up books in the morning and move around. The only negative thing is if you don't have a storage which accessible from the outside you won't have access until 9:30AM-5:30PM. But over all having the storage in Dallas made it easy to move books to Houston when selling there. The month to month feature makes it a good fit for anyone looking for short or long-term storage rental, and there's no hidden gimmicks. When I decided I didn't need the storage anymore I emptied the storage, took the lock off and left it like this, and it's over. I was looking for additional storage for my business and was drawn because of the cheap rates but..... you get what you pay for. The space looks very run down. The woman at the desk was super rude she never even said hello but i did hear her mention there has been a series of break ins in the units AND the gates were broken so they stayed open majority of the day. Would not recommend.

I've been storing things with Great Value Storage for about 2 years. I have one of the biggest units there, and the people working the desk have always been helpful. For those complaining about late fees, of course the fees are higher than most - this is literally the cheapest storage place in town. In order to recoup by being the cheapest, of course they're going to charge you high fees. I also read some people complaining that they text you every day you're late. I actually like this feature I always forget to pay on time, and this is really helpful for me.

I would give this storage company zero stars if possible. Dallas received a lot of rain the spring of 2015, and they refuse to reimburse us for at throw rug that was damaged after water leaked from the ceiling and pooled in a corner where our rug sat. This is after they required us to purchase additional insurance through them. We've tried to move our claim forward since Sept 2015 with no luck. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone.
