If you have a car, don’t try to drive in to this place the way they have it is absolutely crazy! (You will rip the bottom of your car off!)The pricing was okay until the HIKE! Yikes $50 more a month just like that. Then try to ask for a little help on this, sorry can’t do anything, and while I was waiting to hear back , oh late fee! Always paid on time, no waiving the fee just once. Tried to contact corporate, no luck, no response. I would think you would want to keep customers who pay every month without bending them over ! Thanks for that, maybe next time you could at least give me some lube or some thing!

There are steep hills with each storage unit. They remind me of moguls at a ski resort. You are pulling everything up a steep hill to get into the storage unit. Not handicap friendly at all for someone paralyzed. They should mention this “before” getting the storage unit. No refunds of course once you pay. I will be notifying PVA and the appropriate government agencies of their lack of handicap accessible facilities.

Just moved here from Utah. The Manager was extremely nice and welcoming. Love talking with her. Super sweet lady. The property looks nicely kept up on and I feel confident and comfortable storing my belongings at this facility. They use special key locks (different from other storage units I have been to) plus you can use your own locks as well. I feel like I don’t need to worry about any break ins.

I was very impressed with how simple the leasing process was. I did the whole thing online in a matter of minutes. I had barely finished the paperwork when the GM (Makenna) called to welcome me and make sure I had everything I needed. She had even gone out to my new storage unit and blew out the dust so it was clean and ready for moving in. Post-covid it seems customer service is hard to come by. CubeSmart is still doing it right, and Makenna's attention to detail left a very positive impression.

Had 2 different units with this company, perfectly happy with everything. I like how they billed me according to the date I moved in, unlike some places that gouges you by starting the billing cycle at the beginning of each month, regardless of when you moved in. There are areas on the property where the road slants rather scarily ... though I think this has an engineering purpose -- just take note if you're driving a really big truck. But all the units are drive-ups (you just pull your car right up to the unit door), which makes life sooooo much easier. Still, the best thing about this location is their rental manager Jan. She's always been so lovely and patient with me, even when I was being stressed, short and disorganized. She manages the place capably and efficiently, but with a human touch. I feel like I'm dealing with a friendly neighbor instead of a faceless corporation that's all about making a dollar. Cubesmart is lucky to have her, she is their secret sauce!

I felt like i needed to leave a review for JAN because she had outstanding customer service. I sat on my phone in the parking lot until i felt like getting out ( as most of us do, right? Lol ) and she was occupied working in 2 units and she seen a lady pullup and walk to the office and she immediately started locking up the units to take care of the customer. Then (sorry jan) as soon as she was done with the lady and opened up the units again i felt like gettin out and i asked her some questions and not once did she show frustration and she was polite the entire time switching me to my 3rd unit in the last 2 months lol ( i kept upgrading )

Unable to contact anyone at the store. When I called customer service, rude, stand offish and completely unprofessional. I have been renting a unit for the last 4.5 years. I have paid auto draft, on time, ALL THE time. In the last 3 years (give or take) they have price gouged and raised the units rent to a RIDICULOUS amount of money, AFTER when initially renting the unit, I was told that would not happen. (by the location manager himself) When I recently called customer service to get a price quote on 4 different locations, I was appalled at the information given to me and the pricing that was offered for the unit that I rent now and the pricing was COMPLETELY different and cheaper!!! (10x10 climate controlled). Then I was rudely told "Well if you dont like it contact the location manager. I cant tell you why they have raised the pricing, that is on the management of the store, not the company. If you don't like it, just leave" So, Cube Smart, this is how you treat your long-time customers? And she is right, I can not get in touch with anyone at the Denton Location.

We rented out three units that made up one large space for our needs - over a 5 month period. There were two different times that I had to personally speak with someone in the front office at this site. Jane was the one I spoke to both times and she was AMAZING!! Her customer service was above and beyond any that I have had in a long time. When we need storage space again in the future, we will be back to CubeSmart - but more specifically...to THIS location because of Jane. Hands down a 5+++ star rating!

?? Rent increase, AGAIN! Avoid! ?? When certain unscrupulous storage rooms reach max capacity, they begin to go up on their rates to make extra money and force out their existing customers. What do they care? They will replace whoever leaves with new, unsuspecting victims. ?????? Similarly, when occupancy is low, these types of storage facilities will typically offer huge discounts, free months, etc, etc. ?????? Sound familiar? ?? But, to be sure, the rent will continue to accelerate, so don't get caught in the trap. And, in my opinion, they're likely to raise the rent again before the end of the year.

Really disappointing customer service! I had a problem with my CC and automated payment didn’t go through. My access code was blocked and they put a lock on my unit… even though a payment is made, they still have my unit locked and I don’t have access to my property! Don’t think is 100% legal… called main office and the person retired to call the “emergency contact” but LOL… emergency contact is not available! With new pricing (went up not to long ago) you probably want to fond another place that is at least more convenient and don’t have the horrible slanted driveways… if you have a regular low profile car, you’ll scratch it for sure!

Worst storage in Denton. Just had third rent increase in less than a year. Moving out been there over two years. Has never had lights on driveways Tennant's are not allowed to use the dumpster. I can't even describe the driveways between the building's. Worst mistake I ever made was leasing here. And then there's the condesending attitude of the staff. Too many new storage facilities built in Denton in the last two years to put up with this.

Got this unit to store my 1977 ford f100, had it winterized when I brought it in on a trailer.. "not allowed to bring it in on a trailer" even if it does run. Okay fair enough policy is policy. My issue lies in having put in a year old washer and dryer and less than a one month old couch and loveseat. Moved stuff in January 15th, moved stuff out March 9th, less than 2 months. When I arrived to get my stuff out, I found rats nesting in our unit, dryer cord chewed, washer cord chewed and rats nesting in our new couches. Talked to george the unit manager and he told me there is nothing he can do, okay George I'll happily contact art the district manager. Well after 4 days and no call from art I'm left holding the bag. Nothing great to say about this company.

I first reviewed this facility over 2 years ago when I first started storing my items here. I had to leave because I needed a different type of storage. I was very sad to leave. I appreciated Jan, who helped me wrap-up everything without making me feel guilty. She was so pleasant and kind. Over the years I had items here, I had little to nothing to complain about. My items were secure. There was no damage at all. Even when I went to pay during the pouring rain, my items stayed perfectly dry. It was so easy for me to access. I will miss this facility.

I have always thought highly of U-Haul... until now! I rented a storage unit in March 2020, 1 1/2 weeks after I was fired from my job due to Covid-19. Curently, I have no home and all of my precious household goods are in storage. I went on line to pay my monthly and to my disbelief, my payment was increased by $19.25, which is a lot in my world. I have only had the unit for four months. I will be looking for a different unit that does not take advantage of their patrons!

I was looking for a storage unit in a college town in the middle of the summer. Much to my surprise, every place was full. I stopped by CubeSmart where Robin & Jimmy we’re ready to help in anyway they could. They were completely full, but wanted to help me by offering their place a few miles away. I said I would keep looking. Robin took my number & said she’d call me if one came available. Since there was a truck on the property, she got out in the heat to check to see if by chance the tenants were moving their stuff out. Sure enough, they were & she gave me a call within 15 minutes. This place is amazing! The customer service is top notch, Robin and Jimmy were so helpful and friendly. The rates are competitive and they even have specials and discounts from time to time! The location is set on a hill so parts of it are a bit steep but the buildings are in excellent condition and they're constantly making updates and making the place feel nicer.

The promotion pricing was an incredible deal, and when we needed an extra day he was understanding and prorated an amount that was affordable for 3 college kids on a budget. Don't like how the road slants in front of the storages, it's not easy driving through with a car because will easily drag the bottom with the humps/ hills on the road. Reserved one online and price wasn't correct, apparently a regular thing they said, I ended up paying $15 more and they charge you for insurance, why would I need insurance if I already carry insurance for my personal property. I should have just used the one I used a couple times in the past. UPDATE well my rent went up and didn't receive a notice in mail or email, was told I should have got something in mail yet they email me everything AND the address they have is wrong! I gave them the correct address which is different from my license. Once again should have went to the storage I used before, they at least wait a year before going upon rent!!! Not just after 6 mo! Very unsatisfied, will NEVER use again or recommended them!!!

U-Haul offered a 5x5x8 for $59.00, no discount, no frills. CubeSmart offered a 5x10x8 for $56.60, with first month free, plus administration fee. No military discount. Both locations had storage space available, easy online set up, but on sight administration time getting signed in usually takes too long. Neither location offers an incentive for previous customers.

Everything was fine and the price for renting a 5x10 was cheaper than most places I found online but you have to pay some mandatory monthly insurance even if you already have it covered on your own plan so it hikes the price up an extra $12 per month :( 3 stars for friendliness and ease of use.

Price was great...free month and monthly discount. I reserved on line, got a confirmation call when I finished. The hilly parking lot is a pain. I went to do my lease and it really smelled like cigarette smoke. I started sneezing and that was my only negative. The staff was very friendly and I did not have any issues. We had great experience during the Labor day weekend moving our stuff in. I was able to reserve exactly what I needed online very quickly. The manager, Ben, called within a couple of hours to see if I had questions. I actually had already called the main hotline with my questions before reserving being that this is my first storage unit. They even informed me about the insurance coverage that would be in the monthly charge and one time admin fee. I got a good value for Denton. Sure, you may find cheaper, but paying online, great office hours on weekends, and a manage that lives on site is worth a little extra. As for sloping commented in another review, I rather water runoff than sit in my storage unit damaging my items.

Staff is unprofessional and rude. They will quote one price over the phone and it changes when you get there. They will put stickers all over your lock and when you remove them they threaten to cut your lock off. The land is so hilly it is difficult to maneuver. They charge a "convenience" fee to make payments (convenient for them I suppose). I would avoid this place as there are nice places for less expensive in the area.
