If I had the option I will rate this 0 stars but I can’t. Place is filthy and filled with rats and mice droppings. Staff seems to know about the problem but are still renting units out units to the public and not addressing the problem. We caught a rat in our unit moved out our stuff. I don’t recommend this place.

We booked this location to keep our RV at because of the location and the gate security. Gate was always open, 24hrs for the few weeks we had it there and I was told it didn't work. But we paid over $240 for a gated secure area. I called multiple times prior to and during our time with cubesmart with no answer. Left a voice mail with no return call. Showed up to pull our RV out of storage and cancel to find they were closed at 145 during business hours.

Did you know that CubeSmart’s Better Business Bureau’s rating is D-minus; this is due to the massive number of thefts complaints throughout the company, I did not know that either until they looted my storage unit - It was a professional theft job: They picked the lock cleanly, emptied the valuables without removing the cases, and put everything back together cleanly without any sign of a breach. All indications that it was done by the people who are running this facility: Carly and Jamie. With providing this review, I have fulfilled my moral obligation to let you know that you will be a sitting duck there. You can validate the rating - all it takes is a few minutes. In summary: Your belongings are not safe at ThievesSmart.

I would discourage anyone from doing business with CubeSmart for the following reasons. The keypad operated main vehicle gate has not worked for more than 3 months, and CubeSmart management’s solution is to leave the gate open 24/7. The facility is not manned at night. The gate is directly adjacent to Interstate 10 and it’s frontage road (Gateway East), so thieves can easily see it’s not a secure facility. Complaints to the on-site person, Carly, who is very nice and sympathetic, but who has absolutely no authority to fix anything, result in lots of sorries and here are the numbers you can call to talk to the district manager Randy or the customer service person Paul. No matter how many times you call these numbers all you will be able to do is leave your name and number with a promise to call you back. They never call back. As a result of the gate being left open 24/7, the catalytic converter on our RV was stolen. Carly was helpful with getting the police to come and provide a police report, but that was it from CubeSmart. Not a word from management. And if you think all the cameras around the facility and the TV screens in the office provide security, think again because no one monitors the screens or checks the surveillance video from each night. One last reason not to do business with CubeSmart is that they significantly raise the price (ours went from $212 to $267 per month after one year) with no explanation. I have no doubt the price goes up again after the second year as well. We found another place to park our RV, one that cares about security and their customers, and closed our account with CubeSmart yesterday.

At first the storage rate was fine. Then it was gradually increased each year until it was a stupid amount. This was only over a 2 year period. These guys will keep raising your rate until you finally have had enough and move your stuff. Then they just rinse and repeat with the next person. It is also impossible to speak with someone onsite unless you physically go there. The place is nice for a storage facility. But plan on needing to move in a year or two after they jack up your storage rate.

I reserved a unit online then went into the facility to look at the unit and make everything official the next day. There is also an option to do everything online, so you don’t even need to go to the office for the reservation at all, if that’s how you choose to do it. The whole process was quick and easy, and the price was right. Also, I really loved the fact that there is a residence on sight for the manager.

I wouldn’t recommend storing you’re belongs here at cube smart. I was ready to move into my new home and when opening the overhead door of the unit I saw droppings all over the floor and my sofas, the rodents started to create a nest within my boxes and pillows. I had brought this attention to the management and they said their insurance doesn’t cover that type of incident. That set back the whole day I had planned into moving in my new home. Very dissatisfied with my experience of CubeSmart.

Great experience, first called to inquire about pricing. Representative was very friendly and professional (not pushy). Also, courteous and knowledgeable when answering all my questions. I was able to reserve a unit over the phone without giving my credit card. The actual site personnel followed up immediately by text to welcome me and promptly answer any further questions I had. Once I was able visit the location, the office personnel was also friendly, professional and courteous. They happily showed me the unit before renting. I was very happy with the pricing, location of the unit and the staff. The only thing missing are carts, I rented a unit in another city and that storage company provided carts, which was very helpful.

Some reviews said “clean and pest free” however, as you can see by the mouse droppings in a box of my kids toys, that is not true. Most of my boxes had been chewed through and had mouse droppings everywhere. Had to throw away boxes of kids toys and clothes, documents that had been destroyed despite being in plastic containers, tons of stuff just trashed because of the pest problem. Wasted a year of payments on this place just to throw most of the stuff away. I initially thought this place was conveniently located, but with the horrible traffic from Eastlake and Horizon, getting to this place at times is nearly impossible. Contacting anyone who works here is almost impossible. Just automated messages. The door seems to always be locked and the management just not there or ignoring the door. Couldn’t even find anyone to complain about the pest problem. Worst storage facility I’ve used by far. As you can tell from many of these reviews, it’s from people moving in. When I moved in, I had no issues and everything appeared clean. It’s the moving out reviews you should pay attention to though.

Cube smart bought out the prior company where I originally parked my rv. To my dismay it went down hill from there. They raised price twice in less than 6 month I went from paying 178 then skyrocketed to 263. That price hike is not sustainable. When I questioned that there was a large amount of dirt that had accrued around my rv they said that they had no grounds crew to maintain the property. I told them that my rv had true body paint and that it was not good for it. They said there was nothing they could do. In addition they wanted to charge me an additional fee for using an electrical plug that didn't even work. I had enough and moved my rv to a nicer, cheaper and cleaner rv spot for much less. Be aware with this company extremely greety and lack professionalism from their employees

I would have given the location 5 stars except that I found the lack of a doorstop very inconvenient when I was moving in. It's a great feature that the door to the storage access has a security access code,, but it doesn't make to have a door without a doorstop. Gratefully I had my toolbox with me to hold the door open while I took all my property into the storage. Otherwise I would have needed to enter the access code every i time I had to walk inside the facility. The previous climate controlled storage I used had doorstop.

The attendant was very knowledgeable of the units and the surrounding area and extremely nice to me and the customers ahead of me. I had easy access to my unit and the pathways between the building had enough space that you could move in and out of storage without having to worry about blocking the road. Both the road and the storage areas were well lit. It was clean and ready for me to move my items in immediately. The cost and size of the unit was within the norm. If I was to travel back to that area, I would go back to CubeSmart for my storage needs.

They raised my bill without even letting me know! I was in communication on the live chat, and a guy "Angel" was rude and left the chat, without even telling me! They screwed up a sale of an item that I was in the process of selling, cuz I couldn't get through the gate for it! The temporary PIN code didn't work!! Their outside units do not have lights inside! Kept raising the price per month! Gate would not lock for DAYS!
