I made a reservation on cube smart websight and it adds insurance. I was told when I brought my ID in they would remove the charge when I show I have homeowners insurance, then I was told that they would take it off later after my first month, but now am told that they can't because I moved out in the month. Good thing I didn't keep my stuff in there longer than the month as there was alot of mouse droppings throughout it. Getting in from somewhere.

I reserved at climate controlled unit in July but the AC was out which caused a rug to melt onto my dresser.. I have since then moved my stuff out due to rat pee all over my things, washer and dryer, fridge and dressers have stains all of them. The place is super clean on the outside but the rat pee is not okay.

Do not rent from these folks. We loss over $6000 of our life items do to rat infestation. We took out insurance but was told nothing loss will be covered under rodents. We had two units #108 and #112- both had over dozen rats- dead and alive. Some were over 13" long. One of our movers was bitten on his neck from a rat that fell from the rafters. I have reach out to DSHS and the BBB. For your Saftey and Loss, please DO NOT rent from these folks...

The price for an RV, uncovered, non-electric spot is ridiculous and has risen 50% in less than a year and a half. For $25 more per month we have relocated to a covered slot with electric and the facility has a dump station. Also, to rent the unit we had to provide excessive documentation. Trying to navigate back to our spot was always a hassle as they constantly have their rental truck parked immediately through the access gate.

My daughter rented a storage unit from CubeSmart (CS), first month free. CS gave my daughter a combination lock to put on the unit. While still in the free month period, I got a call from CubeSmart, asking me if we were still using the unit "because it looks like you only have a mattress in there." I asked how this was known, and CS informed me that it had taken it upon itself to go into the unit and look, and that it's their policy to do so when you use the lock they give you. I informed CS that, yes, we're still using the unit and that more items will be placed in it. 2 days later my wife went to change the lock and discovered that the mattress was no longer in the unit. She contacted on-site staff, who stated that, despite being informed 2 days prior that we're still using the unit, he thought the unit was abandoned and that the [$2,300] mattress had been moved to another unit where they keep abandoned property. When they took my wife to that unit, she discovered that (1) the mattress had been thrown on top of other peoples' mattresses, raising a concern over bed bugs and other contamination, and (2) CS apparently dragged the mattress a considerable distance across the parking lot to another part of the facility, leaving black marks from the asphalt on the mattress and tearing its fibers. For 3 weeks now we've been dealing with CS's Paul Fleming, who is tasked with resolving the issue to our satisfaction, but who is essentially worthless in this task. Despite our repeated warnings that our patience are wearing thin and that we're considering legal action, CS stalled the process well beyond a reasonable amount of time before offering to have the mattress cleaned and treated for bed bugs, but only if we sign a form (1) waiving our right to hold CS liable for the damage they caused and for ANY FUTURE DAMAGE they may cause, and (2) waiving our right to ever tell anyone what they did to us. We informed Paul that we would sign the form if CS were to limit it in scope to the incident at hand (not to future incidents) and remove the clauses that limit our right to speak about the incident. We've not heard back from Paul or anyone else at CS since, so now we have to take other actions.

Great facility, but even greater service. The staff is kind and very helpful. They contacted me recently and notified me that I had placed my lock in such a way that the unit was locked “open”, instead of locked closed. Although it looked like it was locked, it wasn’t. Apparently they make regular rounds to assure that your unit is secure. I was so thankful for the heads up and I was able to get my unit properly secured. Also great prices!

Nice, new, clean facility. It was perfect for what I needed. My only complaint would be that I had a climate controlled room and it was usually very cool but when I moved out it got very warm and the condensation caused the beam on the ceiling to rust and drip on my personal items. I had a small mess I had to clean up. Nothing was destroyed thank goodness!

Love this place. While it is climate controlled and therefore on the expensive side of storage units I have had great interactions and service with staff. I have also found great ease of access whether I have used the storage unit at night or in the early morning. Perhaps the one issue I have is that it is a little more difficult to access the climate controlled storage units than the none climate controlled. This is, of course, because they are inside. Moving dollies and trolleys are provided to make it easier but the back door from which you load really needs a door stopper or something to make it easier to go through. I am sure it doesn't because they don't want someone to leave it open by accident but when moving a lot of items it is certainly frustrating for the door to swing close so often.

This is the worst storage company in the world I think. I rented 3 storage unit for this company. First let me tell you about the inside storage. I truly don't believe the cameras work because someone from another unit climbs into my storage from the 2 ft space from the ceiling to the storage and stole books, CDs and DVDs. Told Manager and he acted like he can care less. The second time it happened I call the police and they saw the person on camera and turn it in to the manager and again he didn't act like he cared. Finally I took my stuff and put it in another storage. Unit 2 and 3 where find until it rains. To make a long story short, don't rent from them!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this place a zero I would! When first contacting this place I called many times over several hours during the posted "open" hours to no avail. When finally I did reach someone they were not very helpful. I asked about a certain unit and renting a truck on a set day. I was assured a truck would be available as would the unit. I decided to go ahead and use them because it was so close to were I was moving from. When my husband got there no one was there! Again this was during posted "open" hours. I had to move that day/my husband had taken the day off to move my classroom into storage. Three hours later after calling and calling and waiting someone showed up. We put things into storage and paid right on time for several months. My husband called and set a time to pick up a truck to move things out of storage. A guy called him an hour before the scheduled time, yelling that my husband was late and they were going to "give the truck to someone else". My husband explained calmly the man was wrong. He was extremely rude and hung up on my husband in the middle of a sentence. When my husband asked who he had talked to and explained that he had been rude and shown poor customer service the guy tried to deny it. We were told this very rude person was THE MANAGER!!!! Horrible Horrible customer service we will never use them again and I will spread the word about this place.

Rented a unit on Friday and by Sunday someone from a neighboring unit had climbed over the gap in the ceiling and broke 2 of our shelves using them as a ladder and rifled through 2 boxes, stealing an antique radio. Management wasn't concerned with the issue nor were they concerned with resolving the issue. I had to keep calling back and the only thing they offered was to move me to another unit. You would think for $130 a month this place would be safer and more structured. I would NOT recommend this place for safe Storage.

DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!! Since the original family owners sold customer service has been a nightmare. One day we show up and our trailer was gone. It was supposedly mistaken for the owners trailer (no way because ours did not have tags and had been hand rewired so the features of it are very distinct). When trying to sort out the matter the office manager, district manager, or owner never called back never apologized. Makes me wonder how often stuff is "mistaken" for their own use.

Can I not give this place 0 stars?? The woman that owns and operates this place is horrible!! Her name is Alicia. We pulled up and there is a younger guy out front working on his motorcycle right in front of the front door. I had to step over him and all of his tools to be able to get into the building. After I am inside I tell the woman I have a reservation. She asks for my id and looks up my information. This reservation was made days in advance. She starts looking and sees that she has nothing I ordered but the truck. I brought up the guy outside in the middle of the door way to her saying he could have moved down a little away from the door and she gets all huffy becuase it was her son. I ordered 2 regular dollys, one appliance dolly, and 12 moving blankets. When she tells me she has nothing, I tell her the reservation was made several days in advance and ask her if she has had the reservation this long shouldn't she have everything together already? She called earlier today to make sure when I was going to come pick everything up. Shouldn't it be ready then?? When I asked her this her response verbatim was, "UHAUL IS NOT MY PRIORITY IT'S JUST A PERK ON MY PROPERTY"!! I did drop the f bomb one time in her store but only when I was on the phone with my fiance telling him she didn't have what we ordered and asking what he wanted me to do. He asked me what she meant by her statement and I told him that it meant she didn't give a F-bomb. He contacted Uhaul corp. and while I was waiting for a response from him she asked for my ID again. I knew she was up to something fishy so i asked her why and she lied to me (which I could tell she was) and said she needed to enter it again for us to rent the uhaul. She gives my id back and says that she has registered me online for a do not rent thing b/c I was verbally abusive to her!! I never once verbally abused her. I'm sorry if my tone seemed annoyed when she told me she didn't have anything I ordered and was still going to charge me the full amount. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I filed a formal complain with Uhaul about her. And was able to go immediately down the street and get another Uhaul from the location at 224 S Saginaw Blvd who was incredibly nice and helpful.
