they’ve had recent power outages that have not allowed us to have access to the storage units, when questioned and asked when full access would be regained. The store manager begin yelling at the top of her lungs so much so I had to hold the phone away from my ear and was completely disrespectful. They need to hire new Front Desk store manager who can handle customer service issues when it comes to accessing a storage that you’re paying a small car note for. The previous day was absolutely wonderful and a joy to work with and always willing to help.

Great location but absolutely the most horrible elevators in modern times. You have to be an Olympic gold medal winner in track just to be able to get in the elevator with your items you’re moving before it automatically starts closing on you, knocking your stuff off your cart and out of your hands. Way way way to Excessive on how many locks needing your assigned passcodes.

Best experience ive had with a storage facility in a long time. Christie was great she answered all my crazy questions and really made me feel safe and secure with storing my stuff here. The facility is so clean including the restrooms (thats always a plus for me) they even have dollies you can use to move your things. Definitely recommend storing here!!

I was a very happy customer !! Up until a recent incident that happened in Dec.11,2024 Where an employee of CubeSmart biasly targeted me and my 16 year old son …. That day I recorded there employe harassing me and my son telling us we have been at our unit to long and we needed to leave soon he “stated that the max amount of time we can be moving things around is 3hours “… after that I contacted customer service and he contacted his boss … the man was very rude and did not hear me out on anything.. I haven’t been to my storage since dec11,2024 …. I was charge in January for a trash fee of $150 and now as of today they added another charge for “damage” for $200 and I gotta move out by feb 28, 2025 mind u my unit has been locked and I can not get into it at all …. Then today after making so many reports cuz I honestly don’t know what’s going on and why they are handling it in this matter is crazy … no one has try to contact me or send me a email about nothing up until today and that’s not ok ….. now I have less than 2 weeks to move my things out over a misunderstanding…..smh !!!!

Poor customer service. I have an issue and there has been no attempt to find a resolution or middle ground, just straight to NO. Very unhelpful. I contacted my store # 0698 prior to renting the unit I wanted because I needed to opt out of the protection plan BEFORE I started renting there. I already pay for renters’ insurance, so I don’t want to pay extra for something I don’t need. Nonetheless, there was no way to do this online so I emailed the store, but my email was ignored. I needed the unit, so I reserved it online with the intention of bringing them the policy info at a later date. But of course, the task didnt get done, so I've been paying extra for protection plan for several months now. I emailed the store AGAIN (same store that ignored my first email) and asked them about it-- hoping they would help me get some of that money back. Now, this time, they emailed back right away to say no, no, no. They refuse to refund anything nor will they credit my account for the unnecessary charges even though I had the insurance THE WHOLE TIME and this could easily be backdated. Now, I've got a $20 late fee on top of the unnecessary protection plan charges and the customer service is simply unsimpathetic and unhelpful. So I will not be recommending CubeSmart to anyone in the future. Also, because I am still annoyed, I reached out to the main Cubesmart customer service email a few days ago on top of the emails to my store, detailing all of the previously mentioned topics and there has been no response.

Entry code was not working when trying to get into the storage facility for the first time. I tried contacting for phone support but no personnel were available to provide help or a backup entry code. As a new renter no communication was provided about the systems being down. I had a truck full of stuff to drop off to my unit and could not get in and there was no one to contact for support. I ended up cancelling my unit within a month - I was underwhelmed by the customer service from Steve at the West Dallas location. The experience really rubbed me the wrong way and will not be holding my belongings at this location. I would greatly advise customer service training for this staff member. PS - The call center rep that fielded my inquiry and answered my questions before initially signing for my unit was great. However, it was totally different experience with Steve.

They get you by purposely omitting important information about future rate increases. With inflation going up, they've decided to use that excuse to jack up the rate increase by 2x of what I was told initially. Allison acts nice at first, but then doesn't respond to questions unless you send repeated messages, forgets conversations and what she said she'll do, and ignores you if at all possible. This property is old and rundown, but still charges just as much as the newer properties nearby. Don't rent here, they'll lure you in with a slightly better rate, then jack it up to their hearts content.

Update: Steve is nice but this location is lacking a few basics. Firstly, I am moving soon (keeping the storage but needing a few items to hit the road with) and I could not get into the doors yesterday. They keypad isn't working (doesn't allow you to enter a code). It looks like someone else had this issue a few days ago. This seems like something that SHOULD be resolved ASAP but here we are. It's my last weekend to pack and I don't have the essentials I need from my storage. Now I have to spend my very short lunch break tomorrow running over here to *hopefully* be able to grab my items. This shouldn't happen. We are paying for access. The other issue is that there has been only 2 dollies for many months now. It's ridiculous. I know the company can afford to throw a 3rd of 4th into the mix. Come on. Help your customers! ---- Original: It's a decent storage facility. Management has improved over time. When I initially moved in, an employee went into my unit, cutting the bolts, despite my bill being paid and on auto-pay. When I called it out, the former manager made it as if someone broke in and said she'd check the cameras. Never was resolved. My stuff was rummaged through, but I'm not sure that anything was taken. She gave me a new lock and played it off. A few days later, my account was suddenly off of autopay. I spoke to a different associate and had it corrected. This was almost 2 years ago and since then, management has gotten more customer centered and organized, in my opinion. The downside is that my rental cost is going up for the second time in 2 years. I tried to get a smaller storage since I don't use all the space in mine, but was told it would cost more. Otherwise, I'm happy with the service that I've been getting. Good location, central to town.

I had an incredibly good experience with this CubeSmart location and their GM, Allison, when moving out. I used to live in Houston and now in California, and long story short, I couldn’t be on site to actually move out. I hired PODS moving and storage to bring a container to the CubeSmart in order to transfer my stuff out to CA and hired a moving company to come and actually fill the PODS container (since they aren’t full service). Then, PODS was supposed to come back before closing to pick up the full container, all in the same day. Safe to say the whole process was a mess. However, as stressful as the whole day was, Allison and her staff were incredibly accommodating, helping guide both the PODS movers and the moving company men in the right direction and basically manage the entire process for me. Allison even stayed late when the PODS truck failed to come back to pick up the storage container before their closing. I am very appreciative of Allison and her team and would give more stars if I could! Definitely recommend!

Hi rate of burglary, no cameras in the hallways, areas above the roll-up doors area completely open and quite easy to look inside the locked unit. Automatic annual increases in rent, no public trash receptacle. DO NOT STORE ANYTHING VALUABLE HERE. It WILL be stolen. I was burglarized twice! UPDATE: 22Oct20. No sooner than this review posted, I was contacted by CubeSmart stating, "Hi Kevin, we are very sorry to read about your experience, as we strive to maintain a very clean and safe environment for our Customers. We would like to look into this for you, please email your contact information to help@cubesmart.com and we will have someone from our team reach out to you. Hope to hear from you soon." As expected, nothing but public lip service. I reached out on 9 Oct.........still waiting for someone to contact me. Broken into twice over that past two years. Thousands of dollars worth of personal belongings taken and nothing captured on cameras. There's about a foot of open space at the top of all the units where anyone can see what's in your unit. In 2020, you'd think a business like this would have a top-notch security system to protect client's investments. All they want is your money, and will keep going up on your rent. The dumpster out front is for their use only. You're directed to leave trash across the street on the corner. YOU WILL BE BROKEN INTO.

Staff is otherwise friendly but our locker got broken into and we weren’t notified until we went back to the locker weeks later and found our lock had been broken. The security is an issue and it’s suspicious how anyone would be able to gain access to the locker since you need entry codes to enter two sets of doors. It’s usually clean in the facility but maybe don’t store anything valuable there as they won’t let you know if anything goes wrong when obviously it shouldn’t have in the first place.

I made a reservation online to hold a 5x5 storage unit at the 1019 W Dallas St. location. Cubesmart had a discounts of 35% monthly or 1 month free available online. I took the 35%. I'm not sure if they offer them for walkins also. In order to get everything set up, you have to go in during their business hours, but after that, there is a lot more flexibility in the hours. I tried making it by 6pm, but traffic was too bad that day, so I called and Everett answered the phone. I asked if I could come in the following day. He said not a problem. When I arrived that Friday, Everett was there to greet me. He showed me the 5x5 unit that I had reserved online and after discussing, I decided to go with a 2x6 unit instead. I still got the discount (there is a one time admin fee when using the discount). I had to purchase a cylinder lock (the most secure), which they had available there. I also had to email them a copy of my declarations page from my renter's insurance proving they would cover offsite storage. All in all, Everett was great and had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. I came back later that evening after the office had closed to store my things and had no problems.

Fawn is amazing! She works the front desk and when I made my reservation online she gave me a call right away and answered any questions I had. And when I came in, she had everything ready for me, met me in the parking lot and showed me the unit and got my PIN number all set up. It’s awesome. She alone sold me on cubesmart! The cubes are nice too, climate controlled, spacious, and easily accessible. I highly recommend you use them. They do require insurance on the unit so tack on $12/month to the online rate. Great place!

I originally thought I would need a small storage, but after talking- & actually seeing the unit, I got the best storage for my buck. I left my partner after 4 years, Dear John-ing & all & was able to fit all my belongings from my 3 bdrm house into my unit. This has to be the best mid spot from anyone needing to exit 45S & hop onto I10. I was able to empty my house into my unit, Thank y’all for those High ceilings. Tetris skills and All, I got it all done. Love that the area is fenced in, it really guarantees a sense of security when the sun goes down on my side of town. I rent here and it's been smooth sailing so far. They have a truck you can borrow when you move in which was super confident and saved me money. Priced competitively for the area. Don't leave anything here unless you are okay with thieves breaking into your unit. When we notified the office staff, the team member working at 10:45am on August 6, 2018 simply did not care and seemed inconvenienced by me. There is no security here so do business here at your own risk. I learned the hard way and will no longer trust this location. After asking for a refund on last month's rent, I was advised I can just move out. Very poor customer service. Even poorer security.

Tensia is Awesome!! Yes, she is awesome with a capital A! I got a storage unit here to prepare for a relocation overseas. On my last night in Houston, I was rushing to get my last couple boxes into my unit and made it through the gate and into the facility before 10 pm (when after-hours entry ends), but didn't get my cart full of boxes and punch into the elevator until 10:02 pm. Naturally, I was frantic and devestated because my flight the next morning was before early-hours entry would begin. I called the 1-800 number and was transferred to the general manager, Tensia. She was awesome! She calmed me down, was solutions oriented, and we eventually found a solution where I left my boxes overnight and she put them into my storage unit for me the next morning. I could not be more grateful! Going into the call, I expected to get scolded or lectured about planning ahead or having "well, just this ONE time" be emphasized, but she didn't give me a hard time at all. She was truly a partner in solving my problem and making me feel like a valued customer and someone whose business CubeSmart wants to keep. She also followed up with me first thing in the morning to let me know my stuff was secured where it needed to be which was a huge weight off my shoulders. CubeSmart - Tensia just created an ultra loyal customer! Thanks!

The facility and the store unit are excellent. This review is for the customer service. We waited 45 minutes outside the building to talk to an attendant to set-up our contract. Calling the office and leaving a messages was of no help and there was no sign outside the office to indicate when the person would be back. Once the attendant arrived, there was no apologies for the wait and in fact the person was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. We have accessed the storage unit a few times now without any issues and, since you do not have to interact with the front office, we don't see a problem in a future. Maybe it was a just bad day .... but it was a very bad day. WOW!

My unit was vandalized and the manager is more focused on making excues instead of reviewing the video to find out what happened. I doubt that this place actually has videos I think these are dummy cameras. They don't follow up they don't care about anything but inbound sales. The worst decision I ever made was to store my valuable items here. Things that simply cannot be replaced memories stolen and they honestly don't give a damn one way or another. When I told her what happened she gave me the number to the insurance company. Thanks for nothing waste of time if you thinking about leasing at this place you're a damn fool

The process to lease storage was very efficient. I researched the sizes and selected a unit online. The prices for the size of unit were the best in a 3 mile radius of my home. I was in search of a storage facility to house all of my belongings for the next 3-5 months. I looked into several options in the midtown area, all around the same price and offering same deal 1 month free. I started reading reviews and saw some horror stories about units being ransacked and rummaged through, exterior units having flood damage from bad storms, etc. All ending with horrible customer service and these people left in a dismal situation. All of this really helped prepare me for finding the right spot. I needed the following: Climate control Easy access in and out for moving Access to my unit 7 days a week Secure location, including cameras and gated (here you get a personalized access code) Not in a flood zone Friendly staff And, good reviews I went in, toured the place, picked a unit convenient for me, asked all the (hopefully right) questions, and booked online immediately. The manager recommended I book online as it's a cheaper rate. I had to reschedule my move-in date several times due to different delays in my move. They were happy to oblige and updated my reservation at each request. Move in day, I showed up with my movers ready to unload. One person helped me complete my paperwork while the other manager took the movers up to my unit and showed them where to go and how to access the elevator. They were helpful, friendly and didn't miss a beat! I definitely recommend this place! Should I encounter any issues while my items are in storage, I will definitely update my review.

Hey this place here is great. Cody and Bill are two wonderful people they was very helpful and nice to me. With out them my move wonted have been fast and great. They made it easy I would tell any body to go to cube smart on west Dallas Houston Texas and u will b treated right!!!!!!! Way to go Cody and Bill!!!!????????

I can and do highly recommend this facility. Bill (manager) and Cody (assistant manager) keep the place clean and well-ordered, and do so with smiles on their faces. How many storage places have you gone to where you are met with a grunt and help which is grudging at best? Not here. Stay for a cup of coffee and you'll find a couple of articulate and interesting people who just happen to be really good at their jobs. It is a true pleasure doing business here.

Cubesmart is very clean and accessible. The location is ideal and the convenience of being able to have packages delivered to your storage. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating.

The staff is quite helpful and knowledgeable , premises are uniquely immaculate . The store front is very professional . Drive way entrances might be tricky for larger vehicles and average drivers . I've seen smaller drive ways locally though .
