My experience so far with CubeSmart on Katy freeway between Antoine and Silber has been excellent. The staff was friendly and made the check in process easy. Victor went out of his way to make sure my credit card was properly charged and explained the entry and exit features. The app makes entering easy and my storage unit was clean and climate controlled.

Quality storage boxes, but very little space to manuever a truck around. Also no camera surveillance in the back. My storage box got broken into. But above all, if you plan to keep your storage box for a few years, think twice. CubeSmarts price increases are extortionate and will eventually force you to leave. After year 1 my monthly rate went up with 11% (+$16.73/month), after yr2 19% (+$32/month), after yr3 27% (+$54/month), after yr4 22% (+$56/month), after yr5 15% (+$46/month)! Yeah inflation has been bad, but at Cubesmart 'inflation' is outrageous.

This is currently where I store my things and my belongings have been here since April 20, 2024 so it hasn't quite been a full year, my storage Bill went from $209.92 all the way to $252.96 !!!!! Rent doesn't increase like this...it's insane and bad business practice...I called and called and no one could give a really good reason behind it my final answer was " This is just something we do" I hope to be removing my things from this facility soon... There not the cleanest and every time I go it's a little too warm for a storage and every time I say something about it the blame the weather ...well I understand the weather may have an effect on it so that's why in the summer months (which is most of the year) you need to lower it....I really do feel like they turn off the a/c at times....It's never a cool breeze at all...I use to rent a Mini U storage off Katy and even though they had horrible customer service and cussed customers out that facility was impeccable & it had a good temp going at all times....I know for a fact because I checked on my things frequently and no matter when I went ...it was always the same cool temp oh and the couple lives in property ( the husband cussed me out) so it's added security I guess ...And they neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr raised my storage rent.. Count your days Cubesmart! ** Update**** Cubesmart pls don't comment under my Google review with your lame response, I did speak with someone in upper management and she did absolutely NOTHING! all she did was repeat the same stupid script!!!! Basically she said "It is what it is" ..... 1 star is what you deserve

Think again before renting here… management is awful from Victor to the GM Brian. The lack of respect the GM has a a GM is mind blowing. This place has raised my rent 2 in 4months then the call with Brian he lied and stated he doesn’t see that information when I have proof of notices that’s been sent to me. Oh and not to mention the break in that to my exact unit the day before I moved my things in. The lack of security, the lack of respect for customers from management awful … idk what kind of crooked business is going on here but stay far away unless you’re ready for the increases with no explanation, being lied to as a customer and the break ins.

On the part of the company I work for, I went to leave some boxes at this address and everything is fine, after a couple of hours my partner and I took a break because it was a lot of load and we went back to the truck where we were walking, we looked for the 4-wheeled cars to move the boxes and they were no longer there they had been stolen and we asked the manager of the warehouse that day, she was supervising the warehouses and did not know how to respond to the loss of the object of the company from which she works, and I lack security to the service they provide.

Victor is a fantastic manager. Always on top of the grounds maintenance. Keeps the place clean. Very friendly. Has helped me with everything I've ever needed. We use the storage for work and get deliveries sent here that automatically go right into the storage unit. My storage door broke (probably my own fault) and they had it fixed same day. Everyone is on point here. Highly recommend.

Horrible experience with this storage facility. My storage unit was broken into last year. Management had the gall to raise my rent instead of offering any concessions for the invasion. When I moved out of my unit, the manager was so insensitive to ask how was my stay. When I gave him the feedback that I was moving out because my rent was raised after my unit was broken into, the manager responded that the 2 actions are not correlated. I sharply retorted that, in my opinion, they are correlated and inconsiderate.

I'm not going to lie, I was in the area for the week and entered the facility yesterday to have some questions about the storage capabilities of a unit in order to look around for some affordable options since I planned on setting up a business. I don't know how much you guys pay your employees, but by GOD give Justin Tran a raise! He was extremely helpful and patient with me; to be honest the average customer service employee definitely would have had their patience tested and fried by this point. In all honesty, I think in the future after working out some kinks on my end, I'm going to go with this storage facility.

The front guy, Justin, was very helpful with getting my unit set up and a friendly conversationalist throughout the entire process! DO NOT MOVE YOUR STORAGE STUFF HERE!!! THEY Steal out your units and act like they have no clue what happened! When I arrived 4 days later after being notified (cause I work out of town). They hadn’t even called the police to file the police report, because “THEY could not get no touch with HPD.” I was able to get HPD there in less than 30 minutes for the police report etc. That’s VERY SUSPICIOUS. The guy at the desk, told me he saw the intruders on camera and that they got the fence fixed that they came thru! However when The police officer arrived everything changed, they looked at the camera and saw NOBODY at the times the Storage unit said the break in took place. The camera to the door my unit was and the camera facing the fence, he said they came over. So for some ODD REASON, the same angles they told me the intruders came through and at the times they told me, the camera showed nothing when police viewed. For sure an inside job!!! You’ve been warned!

This is a horrible storage center with three break-ins and very little done to protect storage contents. They only have continue to raise rental fees with no obvious deterrence or attempts to protect contents. Locks have been broken doors opened, and they have done very little to mitigate and or help clients. after the first theft, they are on notice, and have a clear duty to increase methods of deterrence as well as notification the staff keeps changing and provide very little help or assurance in avoiding the next event. There will be lawsuits to recover losses, mainly from their negligence, and in action, it appears they only care about rental fees, and nothing about protecting their clients property. I would avoid them completely. Legal action coming. !!!

This place is inaccessible half the time because almost any vehicle that parks to go into their unit will block another vehicle. Good luck if you have a drive up unit. Also, climate control units are WARM, DAMP, AND HUMID.

Very easy experience honestly. I wanted contactless, less interaction with people to make it easier and no wait time. When I got there, I misinterpreted the instructions on the initial email. Went into the office and the manager was there. Such a helpful guy! Very eager to assist and answered my questions. Never rented a storage at a place with such great service. I moved in on the 7th, but was billed on the 2nd . Stephen ,basically called me a liar. Babbling ,about was other people usually do. Dismissed , my actual move in date. Some people, secure the storage, before moving in. This was not my case. Another company, that scams the customer, every way they can. VERY Disappointed! Miss the days of .. customer appreciation !

I came here for some boxes and tape because I was moving and the two guys that where in the office Solomon and Stephen. I was hesitant at first when renting a unit, but after my first month, I am so pleased with the atmosphere the CubeSmart team exude at this location that I have already upgraded to a larger storage unit and intend on utilizing the services whenever possible for additional units—great customer service, great communication, and real genuine people. Supposed to be climate controlled but the place was so damp and warm (even with the damp protectors) that all of our stuff grew mold- So many things got ruined! Very disappointed especially for the high monthly rent.

Absolutely my preferred storage. Great experience setting up my unit with the manager at this location, Sharon Hanson. She is very professional and patient, reads you and works well with you whether you’re an experienced storage customer or a first-timer. Beyond that, the facility itself has all the needs you count on, especially easy access to a wide array of units. Last but not least, their front office is spacious, inviting and resourceful. Not sure I trust the security there. The exit keypad was broken and missing and they replaced it with a doorbell switch to open the gate. I already saw a person enter and use a long enough stick to reach over the gate and open it by hitting the button. Overall the place looks clean but very narrow driving space, only 1 vehicle wit fit in driveway aisles and if more than 1 person in same row you will probably be stuck for a while.

If you’re working for Cubesmart take my advice and find a job as a collections agent because you’ll be doing a lot of collection calls. The average hourly rate for a collections agent is around 15 per hour, or more depending on your overall skill set. Most janitorial workers make in the 12 per hour range. Are you working on and fixing things on property? A person with that skill can make 12 to 15 an hour. If the bonus structure is the same as it was 4 years ago it requires considerable effort for a very small reward. Maybe, if you work really hard at Cubesmart for many years, you might make a 1 or 2 dollars more an hour, and if you get really lucky you might become a district manager and make a sub par salary where you get to constantly micro manage site staff and be a cheerleader for Cubesmart propaganda. Just do the bare minimum while you look for something better, or while you’re in school, because Cubesmart is the type of company that will ask more and more of you while not paying a fair rate for the work being done. If you’re looking for a job that requires little ambition and the willingness to work until you drop you’ll be employee of the month because people with no ambition that don’t ask questions or complain are their best asset.

Everything is clean, it is climate controlled, and the staff have always been great. I kept my things there for 3 1/2 years, and there was NO pest problem ever. I always felt my things were safe and only went to just check on them one time! Perfect!

First I went to public storage and it was a complete nightmare the man was so rude I was literally in shock. So when I went to CubeSmart and was met by I believe his name was Charles on Katy freeway in Houston it was more than refreshing. A kind helpful professional person that was more than willing to not only do his job but make sure my experience was pleasant. When it comes to customer service it’s important to me, And the manager at CubeSmart definitely get my five stars thumbs up you guys got to check it out. Not only that, but it’s a smaller facility that gets shaded by trees for my outdoor unit which is also great!!

Have been storing with CubeSmart and its predecesor for over 25 years. There was a brief period when the staff was badly representing CubeSmart, but, the new managers, Chares and Christina have turned it around 100%. It is back to being ran by profesionals, who are friendly, responsive, and on top of what is required of them. The place is very clean, elevators shine, are well maintained and there are carts available in all the buildings. The location, 7825 Katy Fwy. is perfect for us. We highy recommend it .

I recently had the joy of rented a storage unit from CubeSmart. I’ve rented in the past and even have storages right now at other brands. This is by far the neatest and well-kept property I’ve ever seen as a relates to a storage facility. My representative was so informative she left no stone unturned. Her personality was amazing her Presentation left me with no questions. As a consumer the one thing I dislike is to be greeted by someone with no ability to communicate this was not the case. Chares Autry Is truly amazing at what she does very friendly I would definitely give her a 10 out of 10.

November 2018: Great service. Came back into town with a moving truck full an entire 2 bedroom apt, and after experiencing horrible service at the U-Haul storage and no availability at the Public Storage, CubeSmart definitely provided me with quality service, even offered me waters for myself and family. EDIT: August 2023: This has to be the worst storage locations and experience I've had of storage units. I've at least experienced approximately 6 or so managers since I've been there (4 years). I have mildew on ALL of my belongings, yet I pay for a climate controlled unit. They've increased the price of my 10 by 15 unit 5 times (twice in one year) to the point where my payment is nearly 400 bucks PER MONTH. After I finally got in touch with a district manager, he told me that I'm basically paying for the location. The last time my price increased, I found out via a new bill. I understand price change correspondence occurs via mail, but they need to consider those that travel for work. When I call I NEVER can talk with the manager AND there's always a different manager each time I call. Seems like this location needs immediate regional manager coverage ASAP. I'm taking my belongings from this site as we speak.

We stored antique furniture in a CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit for more than 1.5 years at this Cubesmart Location. Furniture is covered with mold and mildew. Damage NOT covered by insurance sold by Cubesmart or by Cubesmart. Cubesmart offered to pay $500 with condition that NO public reviews be posted. Estimate for required mildew removal and refinishing totaled at least five thousand dollars. I would highly suggest looking for a different place to store your furniture. Manager Christina was warm and inviting and made me want to rent a unit there immediately. I’d visited other storage sites in the area and didn’t feel as comfortable. Hector made my move in experience a breeze. He was nice, professional, and knowledgeable of the facility. The facility it's self is kept very clean. Prices are very reasonable compared to other storage facilites. The only down fall is that they didn't have a larger unit available at that particular location. Hector informed me of another store that did but I didn't want to go that far so I ended up with 2 units. All still very reasonable in price!
