During my nearly one-year tenure, I experienced two rent increases on multiple units without any clear explanation. Despite my requests to maintain the original rates, I was repeatedly denied and informed that the new prices reflected the "market rate". I don't agree with their explanation. My prior experience with Storage West, the predecessor in interest, featured stable monthly fees without any price increases. In my opinion, CubeSmart's pricing tactics border on exorbitant and will not recommend to others.

May 12 an employee broke into my storage unit and stole several of my valuables. The entire incident was captured on Cube Smart cameras. I never heard from anyone as far as corporate or a store manager. I had to go back and forth with their insurance company about this incident. I provided serval forms of evidence and still nothing from anyone. I have yet to hear from anyone about this matter or even if the employee that committed this crime received a reprimand or disciplinary action. Be mindful of your lock -I purchased one from Cube Smart-.

Allison was extremely helpful getting me set up with a storage unit. Very quick, convenient, and professional! Update: During the period of time that I needed my CubeSmart Storage Unit, I was unable to gain access to the facility. I was told that there was no power to the building, and I assured their staff that I did not need power to access my exterior access, ground floor unit that did not have working lights or climate control. I visited the unit every day for nearly a week and was told the same thing. However, during that time, the lights were on, their large tv screens were on, and the office was air conditioned. However, I was assured that was simply not the case—despite my literal observation while talking to a male staff member. I requested that they open the gate for me, but I was assured that it could not be accessed manually, even by their staff. (At a future date, I observed them open it manually for someone else, so I guess that I wasn’t an important enough client). I requested access at another unit and they could not locate anyone in their network to assist me. I even asked for a credit towards my rent, since I was unable to access the unit when I needed it. They told me that no one could help me. Their 800 line says that they are the top-rated customer service in the industry, but they could not help me gain access to my unit, find someone who could assist me with access at another unit, or refund me for the lack of access to the unit I had rented. I had hired pre-paid moving labor to load my unit, and subsequently unload it. During that time, I lost the benefit of the labor I had paid for, resulting in a loss of over $1000 dollars in labor alone. I also had to rent uhauls for extended periods of time as an alternative to accessing my own unit. Given the frustration that I experienced, and given their simple inability to provide the service for which they charged me, along with their dishonesty about why I could not access my unit, I would not recommend this CubeSmart location to anyone anywhere. If I were able to give zero stars, I would.

I was a little confused (my own fault) when trying to unlock my lock the first time and called the support number (at like 8pm) and reached someone right away who walked me through my own stupidity very nicely and everything went right back to smooth sailing. Ken and Jessica are THE absolute best!!! Having a business unit can be very stressful and often feel like there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen (if you know what I mean). My co uses a third party to ship me items and they in turn outsource and use another 3rd party.... lots of parties and not enough favors! Lol Nevertheless, I've experienced several issues in the past few wks alone with said "parties" and both Jessica and Ken have gone above and beyond to help me find quick and easy, stress free solutions. One fedex driver didn't want to deliver since I wasn't physically there to sign for boxes, Jessica gave me some great advice to prevent this from happening again and advised that their normal fedex driver isn't like this. Another time a whole palette was being delivered and the freight Co insisted I be there to sign for it. Jessica was able to call me immediately in real time so I could smooth things over with the driver and have her sign instead, since I don't live nearby. Lastly, Ken too went above and beyond when I called concerned that 6 boxes fedex claimed were delivered may not actually have been delivered. He took initiative and volunteered to go right away (after we got off the phone) to open my unit, take pics of what was there and then immediately emailed them to me for my reference!!! Talk about impeccable, amazing, truly supportive, professional service! Do you feel stressed these days? Need a storage facility that makes things super convenient for you, is willing go out of their way to help, doesn't complain, is professional, polite, friendly AND offers top notch service to boot... CubeSmart has you covered and then some!

Y'alll i can not stress this enough---the customer service is superb, especially from Erica because she helped me out in a time of absolute despair. Not only did she do an amazing job at helping me out with a storage unit that same day but she also subbed in as a mental health coach. (Im telling you I was going through it that day and she didnt even flinch, she had my back through it)...I will say its a bit pricey when you first see it but if you always needs a moving truck- they have it available for you...its legit. I highly recommend this storage facility!! The customer service is amazing and their pricing is very reasonable. I casually went in on a Friday afternoon to see the size of the units available (I'm a very visual person) and Erica was such a huge help. I was in and out with a unit in about 15 minutes. My husband was very impressed with the facility once he saw it on Saturday, especially the ease of access to the unit. When it came time for me to take some items on Sunday night, we both had no hesitation about me going solo as it is extremely secure and safe. Absolutely recommend to anyone needing a unit, whether its long term or just for a month or two!

My review of Storage West-Heights is that they are the cleanest storage facilities I have been to in a long time to store items that are needed. On December 19, 2020, my friend James and I, Pamela Ann, decided to visit Storage West. Ms. Ivonne Lemus greeted us warmly with her beautiful smile ?and promptness; she was very courteous. Ivonne explained and gave us a tour. She explained everything about the usage of the facility, and we decide without hesitation to book storage.

Truly a rarity! Incredible sparkling facility, convenient location, and then the staff -- truly devoted to excellent customer service, especially Erika the manager. Imagine having a loaner box truck use at no charge. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend storing items with Storage West. The staff (Erica & Ivonne) are super helpful and really nice. Erica was a huge help to me on explaining the process of renting a storage unit. The facility is super clean and easy to navigate.

More expensive than public storage but the included insurance is always worth it in Houston. The facility seems to be well maintained and you receive a personal access code that is linked to the storage unit you rent (at least they claim so). The renting and check out process was a breeze. Do pay attention to the unit number carefully as sometimes even the managers get confused and you might end up placing your stuff in the wrong unit.

I came to Storage West looking for a storage unit and left feeling so comfortable with my decision thanks to Erica! Erica, the Facility/Associate Manager, was so polite, professional, and informative! The location and security are what I really loved most, but having a complimentary moving truck on move-in day is what sealed the deal! The unit prices were among the best for The Heights! Erica moved mountains to make sure I would have an easy transition that day and secured a truck for me! I would recommend Erica and Storage West to everyone!

It's just not the same since CubeSmart bought out Storage West. Prices are through the roof and staff is less helpful. Morningstar is so much better, top to bottom.

6/5! Can’t recommend highly enough! Renting is beyond easy! Called needing a unit quickly and picked up keys the same day. Box truck is available for move in and move out! Just reserve for the day. Really easy to check out and return truck! Large rolling dollies are always available in the lobby and help tremendously! The facility strikes me as wildly clean, esp. during COVID. There’s plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes in common spaces. Even on a normal day, the inside is pristine including common spaces. Very much a high standard for cleanliness compared to other facilities. The property is also super secure! You need a long multi digit code to access the entry gate, the elevator, and the exit gate. You have the option to use keypads or an app. The app is specific to your account and unit just like your access code. Super easy and no touch! You can provide your own lock, or buy from them for a reasonable price. Other moving supplies are available for reasonable cost in the office too! I noted a much lesser mark up on supplies than you normally find for the convenience. Billing is always easy and straight forward! The online portal allows managing multiple units, setting up one time or auto payments, etc. The site is basic, but works really well. Never any issues. And lastly moving out is a breeze! I called at the end of my last month lease to let them know I vacated the space. Standard requirements like trash removed from unit and lock removed so they can access. Absolutely no hassle! Truly friendly service from Erica and Yvonne on repeated occasions! I’ve never wanted for help or info. Really do recommend if you’re in the Heights area, or want easy access from 610 or I10!!

I love Storage West!. I've rented a storage unit there since Hurricane Harvey hit Houston - and I almost regret that I'm going to be moving out of the unit soon, when my flooded house is finally repaired. Storage West is such a calm, safe place; the employees (e.g., Shawn and Tasha) are friendly and helpful; it is so easy to get in and out; and it is SO CLEAN!!! I had to take a moment to speak of the ongoing outstanding customer service I receive at the Houston Heights location. Ms. Latasha Scott is the Queen of Customer Service. I recall when I was going through rough times after Hurricane Harvey and hadn't been to the facility in a while. Ms. Scott called to check on me just to make sure I was ok. She greets me by name when I enter the facility and demonstrates she cares about the work she does. I have three storage units at the Heights location and wouldn't think of storing my antiques anywhere else simply because of the way I am treated by Ms. Scott. And, she has a smile that lights up a room. Thank you for being such a joy, Ms. Scott.

I just moved out of this storage unit after 2 wonderful years. From the very start to the very end, the team here has been helpful, friendly and professional in all things. The facility is immaculate and not one drop of moisture in my unit after Hurricane Harvey. Cannot recommend this place more highly.

Clean, secure, easily accessible units, elevators. Update on Jan 2021: I was a customer here for more than 5 years. I never had any issues with the operational quality of the building/storage unit. The customer service from the staff was also very prompt and professional throughout this period.

I'm really impressed with Storage West! AJ, the property manager, is a consummate professional. Today's business world is, sadly, so impersonal. Customers are often only seen as dollar signs. AJ is the absolute contrast to being impersonal. He actually remembered my name & my unit # on my second visit to Storage West! The staff at Storage West clearly takes pride in their job. The facility is immaculate. The property is well-secured. I would most definitely recommend Storage West to anyone who's looking for a safe, clean & friendly place to store their stuff.
