We were doing some extensive traveling and decided to rent a storage locker rather than pay rent while traveling. Houston was a good location for us to fly through, so I researched storage options near the airport. I found the CubeSmart location in Humble. We live in Mexico and for that reason we couldn't reserve online, but we were able to reserve a locker via email and make an appointment to get setup. The process was seamless, the people friendly, and we had our contract setup with automatic payments and stored our belongings in less than an hour. We collected everything after our travels, everything was exactly how we had left it, and it was a simple process to cancel. Excellent experience, I would use CubeSmart in Humble, Texas, or any other place, without hesitation.

Truly caring, Jill and staff are understanding and I am so glad that I was able to have the experience that I did with Cubesmart. I leased my unit recovering from the worst period of my life. The service is great!! However this location has been hit by thieves 4 times in building B. When I brought it up the management office told me because the lock was not broken or broken door jam that the insurance would not cover it. When I called the officers from precinct 4 I was told that on the same building B, 4 other individuals have made reports of stolen items with in the last 30days and that the cameras for the community don't work. It would have been nice for the office to informed me so that would have not lost so much valuable items. Please be ware before renting at this location. I asked to speak with the district manager and two days later no answer yet. I contacted the corporate office and made a complaint and still no response. Disappointed with the service. Message for the owner that responded to my complaint your corporate office has all my contact information along with the formal complaint I have made directly with the store manger Jill. She informed me that the district manager will contact me and still 48 hours later nothing has happened.

Jill Boyer is horrible. My autopay quit working because the new system "lost my zip code". Jill would not refund late fees (did wave "administration fees") because the mess up was "not her fault". After payment, Jill walks me to the unit personally to remove the lock. When I return a few months later, my lock has been cut, but my account is still up to date. I assume someone used an old list of unpaid units while cutting locks. When I voiced my displeasure with my lock being cut after I paid, Jill got an attitude with me and called me a liar because the logs show I never was there (gate is usually stuck open, so don't expect too much security). Due to this mixup, my move out pushed me four days into the next pay period. I called the 800 customer service number and was informed that I could get pro rated money back for the part of the month I did not use, as long as the unit manager (Jill) agrees that I left the unit clean and undamaged. I left it swept and in perfect condition, but never received cash back.

Last Wednesday, my wife and I were on our way to GB Intercontinental Airport in Houston for our 8 pm flight. We had a flight at 8 pm and supposed to drop our car for 2-3 months at Cube Smart self storage, 7900 FM 1960 Rd West. The store closes at 6 pm. We were stuck in traffic and also got lost. My wife and I were panicking. If we were late we would be stuck in an expensive airport parking. It was 10 minutes to 6. Out of nowhere, the store manager, Justin Hill, called my cell phone, introduced himself, and advised us that the store is open until 6 pm. I did not know when we would arrive there. He said he will wait. Lo and behold he calls back at 6:50 pm and asked out ETA. We said about 6:10. He said not to hurry and drive safe. Well, we get there, finally, at around 6:20 pm. Justin was waiting with a very pleasant and professional courtesy. He got our IDs and papers and processed our papers, guided us to the parking, escorted us back to the gate, and made sure everything is all secured. Before we left, Justin gave us our gate code and advised us that the gates are open from early morning to late at night (I forgot the times), and not 24-hours. I asked what about if we fly back and arrive at say 3 am. He said he will see what he can do with the management. We thanked him and departed. Two days later, he calls my wife and I, again, out of the blue, and advised us that he was able to get us a 24-hr access to the parking. Incredible. The people at Cube Smart went above and beyond to help us out in a time of need. We left our vehicle in their faculty and needed a ride to our hotel. Uber failed, Lyft failed, Yellow Cab failed. The Manager, John asked the General Manager if she could provide us with a ride. She was kind enough to transport us to our hotel about 20 minutes away. What nice people. Paul and Jill are very customer service oriented. I got a second storage to start cleaning out another storage I have. They mapped out & located the second storage, closet to the first storage I currently rent-making it easy to transport between storages and they also provided a cart. They keep the storages, hallways, restrooms & property extremely clean. I have been renting since 2017 or 2018 and would not consider renting from any place else. Paul and Jill take time to answer questions, if they miss a call they will call you back. They make renting easy.

This review is long overdue. You will not find better customer service or attention to detail than you do here with Matt and his team. Through my job as an outside sales representative the unit served as my mail box/ office storage. I received multiple packages a week and was constantly visiting the unit. Matt always made sure my packages were signed for and made it safely to my unit. He went above and beyond the scope of what I traditionally thought of what a storage facility manger could provide as a service. During my time in Houston I moved residences constantly... the only thing I kept regardless of distance was my storage unit! Do yourself a favor and rent here. If you are in need of a little something extra or just a safe and secure place to park your belongings you will not be let down!

The experience we had wonderful from the jump let me do tell. Dennis called us and reminded us that our bill was due but something came up and we forgot all about it, so again Dennis called us again with a reminder about it and was very nice about it letting us know that he didn't want us to pay anymore late fees so to come in the office to work things out. So the same day we went to the office and pay the bill but to down size as well and oh man did Dennis and Kierra go to work of looking for what we needed and to save money at the same time. Okay so we down sized and got a smaller unit that was around the corner from the old unit and that was fine with no problem but the good thing is that Miss Kierra came across one that was way closer. I had 5 days transit in George Bush International Airport during flight from Lubbock to Malaysia. I rent 5x5 storage for my luggages here as I dont want to drag all of the luggages while exploring Houston and San Antonio.
