Do NOT use this company to store your belongings! On KPRC tonight a lady had her entire unit rumaged through and several items were stolen! Her lock was changed! She had to go ask management to cut it off only to find out the fiasco inside. Cube smart took no responsibility at all. All the way to corporate! She had that unit for over a year paying them to safely store her belongings. Shame on you Cube smart! No accountability. No safety. No guarentees your belongings will be safe.

Your items could possibly come up missing like mine. Locks could be cut and you could be told "you did not" secure your unit- which is a lie and an opportunity for items to come up missing. I had over $4,500+ stolen from my unit, because I was not proactive and my unit was in discord. Although, I did take photos of my messy unit, I was able to confirm later on that a lot oif my items were stolen at this location. The female property manager knows where camera's are and she also knows certain units can be accessed (locks cut) so the "thief" or thieves cannot be seen on camera. *****PLEASE BE SURE TO PERIODICALLY TAKE INVENTORY/PICTURES OF WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR UNIT OR YOU MAY END UP LIKE ME**********

I had a in climate temperature unit and been here for a long time at this location. To get in the inside of the building there is key pad code. We came to our unit this month and opened our unit and half of our belongings were missing. Our items were ran sacked and we found there were items in our storage unit that did not belong to us. The value is over 10K. Please note, per the property manager cameras only go back two weeks. The cameras do not cover both entrances. We reported it to the property manager and she did also she could at the time. Sarah informed us the property has been recently targeted for outside and inside robbery of the units. We asked if the code pad will be changed and she said no it can’t be done the decision is up to corporate. We left and did a police report and file the claim through the insurance program that we paid through cubesmart. We examined the units next to us and you can see their locks were tampered with. There is a gap between the door and ceiling and we brought this to Sarah’s attention possibly they stuck a camera to oversee everything inside the units to pick and choose. We came back to clean and organized what all we can and what was left and realized there were more items left in the storage unit that was not ours. The insurance claim denied us and stated there was not enough evidence of a robbery. We believe it is possible an inside job since the codes for gate and door had to be known. The officer that took our statement and gave us the case number was not surprised of the location of robbery rate in which it made our decision to move out immediately. I was upset that the store didn’t report in their statement to insurance claim the location has multiple attempts of robbery. We were really upset that we paid $175.00 a month for in climate with an extra layer of security for our items to get robbed and then the cubesmart insurance company denied us. We moved out soon as possible cause it is disappointing the store didn’t inform the insurance company of the property knowing other unites in the same facility are getting robbed. If your items are very valuable I would recommend looking somewhere with more security measures.

I was actually a customer a little over a year ago. I normally don’t write reviews, but Sarah certainly warranted this one! I had a UPS claim check get mailed to the Humble (Atascocita Rd) location. When I discovered that, I emailed Sarah letting her know and asking if she could contact me when the check arrived. She quickly responded, of course she would help. True to her word, she called and emailed me that she had received the check. I stopped by the following day to pick up the check and chat with Sarah for a bit. I was a customer for about (2) years but again have not been a customer for over a year. Sarah’s assistance and cooperation for a previous customer, no less, is just a level of customer service that sadly we rarely see. It was great to see Sarah and I truly wish her all the best. She’s a true GEM!! Cube Smart, Sarah is a KEEPER! Take good care of her because she’s taking AMAZING care of current AND even past customers.

I’ve been renting an out door unit from September of 2023. Sarah the general manager is always patrolling the grounds with her note pad in her hand. I recently hired movers to move my belongings before the due date. The movers stopped removing my belongings once they saw mold on my items.not only was there mold on my fabric but my appliances and the ceiling.the movers evacuated right away! The mold was green and black! informed Sarah immediately . I asked her for the insurance info because I would need to file a claim. I lost $300 that day! And more because I’ll need to hire another moving company. Today I called Sarah and refreshed her memory which she did recall who I was and what happened. I told her because of the mold I wasn’t able to remove my items. The payment is due on the 27th and I’m unable to take off from work. That it’s an inconvenience for me. She told me nothing can be done and I’ll have to pay full price. Then told me I saw the unit and chose to get it. I asked for her manager she said she’s not in, but she’ll let her know and I’ll get a call back in 24/48 hours.i asked for her manager name she refused to give me a name and contact number. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Especially Atascocita location! They do not care about anything but payment. Even their faulty storage units! No compassion or assistance for the customers! No prorates nothing. NOTHING I CAN DO is all she kept repeating. There is mold everywhere even their ceiling! I have to risk my health to remove these items or continue to pay them. If I get sick I’m suing that location! They should have more compassion.

Originally wanted another storage size, but after learning it was best to get a climate controlled unit they ended up not having it available. Sarah, the customer service rep on site was super helpful. While she didn’t have the unit I was looking for, she found one at another CUBESMART that did, and wrote their information/prices on a sticky note. I was already hot and moving is never fun, but this small gesture made huge difficult. She cared about what I actually needed instead of just signing me up for any kind of unit. Thank you, Sarah!

Been having the Storage for over a year. When I first got the Storage it was around $160 a month for six month and then it went up to $186 and then after another six months I’m at $230 for a 10 x 20 storage unit. Just to let everybody know, I wouldn’t be surprised if I reached $300 paying of Storage after another six months. It seems like every six months they want to add more money to the bill. When I first moved in my bill was $160 and now it’s $230 after a year and it’s probably gonna keep going up as long as I still have the Storage. Good riddance finally moving my stuff out of this storage. Don’t agree how they secretly add charges to your monthly bill after six months. My advice to look for a storage that won’t change your prices on you after several months cause in my opinion it’s unfair. They could get you to a point where the bill is so high that you can’t afford it and then you’ll be stuck losing your stuff. Don’t wanna do business with a company that wants to put me in that position. Hopefully this will help people not to get in the same spot as I was.

I told her I had an online reservation and wanted to see the the storage to check for appropriate size. I feel in these situations employees will usually say, "we're about to close come back another day". This was not the case. Sarah checked the reservation online and proceeded to show me the storage unit. She was very informative and very nice person. CubeSmart, Sarah is the perfect example of what an employee should be.

Price goes up every year and since I had so many items in one of their largest units I had to deal with the price increase. Also the AC Would stop working in the climate controlled units and i was never notified about it so I don’t even know how long my belongings were in the heat. The price is expensive and the service is poor.

Don’t rent from these people they have people breaking into storages they broke into mine and they act like they couldn’t do anything despite having cameras if u are looking for a secure safe spot for your belongings this IS NOT IT they only offered me 2000 insurance policy when I got the unit now they saying they had other options that I was not informed about it’s an inside job DONT RENT HERE !!!!!! Don't get used to a good price...it will not last long. They lure you in with an amazing low offer and then every couple months you get an increase. You end up doubling the cost in a short period. I give them 3 stars because they do have nice facilities but the constant price increases is the part that is disgusting. To the owner: Understably prices do go up, which is what I said happened. It is the frequency it happens while you use my new higher rates to lure in others at low low rates. It gets old calling in to the manager every couple of months to get my rate reduced back to normal...if it was that simple, just keep the rate lower.

Ive been renting here to store tools and job materials since july of 2019 and have had only one issue with the unit which was promptly taken care of by an employee that lives on the property. I think her name is Paula. My only other dislike about the facility is that after 10pm you cannot get thru the gates. I sometimes get late night emergency calls and don't always have what I need on my truck and its locked up in there. (1/2 a star deduction for that so its really a 4.5)

This location has excellent customer service. The General Manager, Paula, was able to help me during a very trying time after a close family member passed and has continued to provide amazing customer service in the aftermath. I've used many self storage facilities over the years but I can't remember a more personable and helpful point of contact before now. Paula deserves am award for her efforts. An older facility, but reasonably clean inside. I did get a good rate for a 10x25 climate controlled space. The manager has a simple approach to customer service - crude & rude. Good luck finding a handcart. The less scrupulous customers have absconded with most of those. On the upside, this provided a perfect opportunity to teach the entire customer base a lesson by not replacing them. Some forward thinking that. As for fees, I'm surprised they don't charge a $10 Admin Fee just to walk in the door. To be fair, this does appear to be an industry practice. Update: After being there a while now, I can provide an update on another Cube Smart practice... they will increase your price every few months, hoping the hassle of moving will keep you there.

Be wary of their "first month free" service. What they really mean is that you won't pay your first month rent fee along with your service fee when you first sign up and get your storage space. They still bill you your first initial month. Wish I had caught onto that. It's still a good space for a decent price, but it's still a tad misleading.

These people are THIEVES!!! THE FACILITY STOLE FROM MY UNIT! They stole THOUSANDS of dollars worth of property!! They stole tv's, furniture, clothes, shoes, mattresses, box spring, my kids toys, my 4 year old daughter's vanity; along with many many more things!! They didn't know what to say when my husband looked in our unit! We are in the process of SUING THEM!! This was an inside job!! The facility is gated with coded access only! They NEVER filed a police report! The lady general manager seemed very nervous after the discovery! Either she is in on it or she knows that this is going to get really ugly! We worked hard for what we had, we trusted CUBE SMART, and they thought they would get away with robbing us!! DO NOT store your belongings here! Their employees are very capable robbing you!!!

The people at CubeSmart are some of the friendliest folks I have ever worked with. They are proficient and know their job well. The customer service here is unmatched by any other storage location in the area. I served 14 years in the Marine Corps and used multiple storage locations all over the world, Paula and her team is easily the best experience I have had!! I highly recommend. I recently needed to rent a parking spot for an extra trailer that I had while I was waiting to sell it. I have been a customer with Cubesmart for over a year but needed an extra spot for a week or two. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The reason I docked one star is because even though I only needed the spot for a short time I was still charged for a full month and was told that it would not be prorated from the time I was not using the spot. So now I have an empty spot that I have paid for but I am not using. This seems like a waist of my money and there's as the spot could be rented if they just prorated it. On top of all of it I have been on time with my payments every month and referred people to this storage facility. I am sure this is not a reflection of the people that work there but more a reflection of corporate inefficiency.

She explained the specifics of the unit we were interested in, she showed us the unit and suggested the safest type of lock to use for the unit. The insurance sucks here. If you use this location please don't pay extra for the insurance thru Great American. I had a very poor experience with Nicole N of Great American Insurance. Even if you decided not to pay my claim on all my life possessions that were ruined in a Cube Smart unit that was insured by your company.All my things mildewed and stained with water! And your company decided it's not a insurance claim? My things were perfect when I trusted this company with my things and I paid on time!! She never returned calls or emails. I had to call to inquire just to get an update. Am I sadden by my loss yes because I'm a single parent and it's a huge blow to my kids and I. That's not you're fault right? Well I do deserve respect and compassion and Nicole has ZERO. I will be letting all my social media friends know about the very poor experience I've had being insured by this agency. The staff at this complex are very kind. Too bad I lost all my things in a leaking unit..Unit #425 Thanks for Nothing.
