The manager at cube smart is very communicative and understanding, very helpful and she definitely made the process understandable and quick. I would definitely recommend!!! UPDATE: I called to change my payment date , which Kenya had told me could be changed whenever and when I did she said she had done it. Well…I kept getting notifications that it’s past due and when I call I’m told by Wendy that it wasn’t properly done or explained to me. I’m supposed to leave out the country and this is the location I’m trusting with not only my belongings but my family’s as well and Kenya the supposed manager has already misinformed me twice on two different occasions. I don’t understand what is so hard about telling me once you want the date to be moved you have a prorated rate to lock it in. The first time she misinformed me was about the price I signed the unit for and she ended up taking the blame that it was a misunderstanding!!! How does this fall on me. As a manager she needs to communicate better, instead of hanging the phone up on a customer she’s not done talking to. I’m extremely upset and disappointed.

They lure you in with affordable monthly pricing only to increase the rate by $80 after 3 months. Additionally the hallway where my climate controlled unit was located was always extremely warm. Management at this location attributed it to the hot temps that we’ve been experiencing in Houston. However the hallways leading to my unit were always a comfortable temperature so I’m certain that there was an issue with the a/c units controlling that area.

Unit was clean and even though I didn't get a climate controlled unit I was surprised at how cool it was in the until.. also have lights inside so appreciate that feature. You don't think about it until you have to get something after dark. I absolutely would recommend them

Terrible takeover of Storage West. Cannot get a hold of a human, no one ever in the office or returns phone calls. Zero communication when our gate code would not work - went a week over the holidays trying to get to OUR storage and move and couldn’t. No one told us there was a “universal” code which in itself is insane. Then I had to physically go into the office during their business hours to pay my bill our we wouldn’t get our standard military discount AND would have to pay a $4 service fee to pay by phone. Who does that anymore? THEN kept getting emails that I was late on my payment with added late fees when the payment was on time. Etc etc etc. just ridiculous.

How a company handles problems speaks volumes and Storage West Atascocita failed miserably. We flew in on Sunday to clear out our storage unit as we are moving out of state on Monday morning. We got in the gate no issue but when we got to our building unit, our code would not work. It worked on the elevator but we are on the first floor. We call and got someone in Arizona who explained there was a power outage *the day before* and our code access to that area had not yet been restored. The gentleman was quite nonchalant, even said he had been fielding numerous calls from others, but all he had was "come back tomorrow" and "things happen." I asked him how they handle emergencies and he said to call 911. He said us not getting into our unit was just an inconvenience. After explaining our sense of urgency (our movers would be at our house at 8am for the move), he transferred us to another woman who said she would call us back, she did not. We call when their office opened at 9:00 am and spoke to Ashley who was just as nonchalant. The message was this happened on Saturday, we didn't anticipate people not being able to access their units. The office is closed on Sundays and we don't care what happens when the office is closed. We deal with it when we get back on Monday. A good company with good management would have taken this issue with a sense of urgency and either fixed the issue although the office was closed* or at least put up signage letting people know there was a problem (we wasted an hour waiting on call backs, etc). An email alert would have gone a long way too. We get other email blasts why not one that is important? We learned a valuable lesson, one we won't use Storage West again. And two, only use a storage facility with office hours 7 days a week. *And yes, in my line of work, I've dealt with important things on my day off. I'm shocked a company the size of Storage West didn't have a contingency plan or a master/temporary code to give customers to access while they were working on restoring individual access. Complete failure on Storage West. Will not use them again.

Due to unfortunate circumstances we ended up in Humble at our daughter’s home—-it was almost three years til we were able to get all our things( the largest unit) and finally find a place we could settle in. Everyone at Storage West was so nice and patient and very accommodating!!! I can’t sing their praises enough!! When we finally reached our destination and started unpacking, after all that time everything was just the same as if I had just taken them out of our drawers to wear or out of the cupboards to use!!! We had a great experience at Storage West. We rented a unit while waiting to move in to our new home. The facility is very secure & very clean. The young lady in the front desk was wonderful. Very professional and kind. Ulani, helped us find a unit that fit our needs & was always available when we had questions. She even assisted my husband in taking him to the unit in the cart (he is disabled & has a very hard time in the heat). I highly recommend storage west. OVER-PRICED POOR MANAGEMENT & HORRIBLE HOURS!! 7AM to 7pm. UNFORTUNATELY BECAUSE OF HURRICANE HARVEY, I COULD NOT FIND ANOTHER STORAGE UNIT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE NEAR MY HOME. THEN I FIND OUT FROM THE AREA MANAGER THAT THE ON PROPERTY MANAGER TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY SITUATION AND DID SOME SERIOUS PRICE GOUGING! OVER $220 WORTH OF CHARGES THAT WERE "WAVED" FOE ALL OTHER HURICANE HARVEY VICTIMS EXCEPT ME.... CHARGED ME FULL PRICE FOR MY UNIT AND THEN PROCESSED TO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY WERE 100% OUT OF THE ONE TYPE OF LOCK They allow. The on sight property manager did tell of a storage facility very close who did have the lock that they required AND FOR A LOWER PRICE TOO! GOOD JOB ON UPSELLING !!!!!!!!
