I just wrapped up 7 years at this establishment. Unfortunately, due to a robbery during the last few months I’m leaving a one star review. Every time I interacted with employees here they were always polite and helpful, but that doesn’t erase the heartbreak of my belongings and memories being taken from me. There’s always something so creepy about knowing strangers have been going through your things. Back in May I was required to open my storage unit for an employee so they could verify that there was no damage to my unit from the severe storms that had passed through. The employee pointed out my guitars and because of this interaction I know my guitars were still there at this point. My rent with insurance had finally made it to a point (280 a month) that I could no longer live with. So my wife and I started to move the unit closer to where we live in Cypress. During this move is when we noticed that there were no guitars, and other things had gone missing. Two months prior we had pulled a king sized bed out of my unit for my parents. I chatted with them about this, and none of us remember seeing any guitars during that time. So from the moment I showed my unit to an employee to mid November is when someone picked the lock and got into my unit. The insurance denied my claim because there was no sign of a break in. The insurance that they make you have is basically to protect them if anything happens to their building then your stuff inside the building is covered. I lost a black acoustic guitar, electric hollow body with a violin finish, two guitar cases, kitchen aid stand mixer (pistachio color, brand new still in box), multiple bottles of wine, and totes of stuffed animals from my entire life. I would have enjoyed giving those to my kids. I might be missing more but this all I can remember since most of this stuff has been in there for a very long time. The people that work here will be nice to you. However, they will do nothing to insure the safety of your belongings. Use multiple locks. Hide your valuables in the back and underneath things. Cover your stuff with drop clothes. And never show your unit to an employee. I had been wanting to move out of this place because of the rent increase. I wish I had done it sooner and I’d still have all my stuff. 6-1/2 years of no issues and the last few months screwed it all up. Good luck if you use this place.

If I could leave Zero stars I would since I’ve gotten my storage here it’s been nothing but late charges and inconvenience. DO NOT LEASE A STORAGE HERE ESPECIALLY A SMALL UNIT. First off the supervisor KAYLA IS TERRIBLE SHE WILL ONLY CALL WHEN SHE WANTS YOUR MONEY! Doesn’t care if the staff is running the property correctly or if the customer is satisfied. If you pay on the 6th day they are already taxing on a $10 charge and then $15 and as of now it’s gone to $20. First incident I believe the young man name was Chris lied and said he was the manager. Then I called customer service asked to speak To a district manager he called once never heard from him again after waiting two weeks to call back. I said it’s just $10 I’ll pay it. Went to go check on my storage after a week later after payment was made days prior. Even the customer service agent said there shouldn’t be a lock on your storage and called Kayla right away. It’s after business hours and me and my disable mom are standing outside and can’t get into the storage. Kayla calls apologizing and saying she sending an employee to unlock the unit immediately. I told her we were gone already and she never called to say hey I see your account has a late applied and I apologize about the other day will go ahead refund this to you. I had to call a week later and speak again to customer service cause at this point the phones were not working. I had to remind her of what happened and ask for the current late fees to be waived. Due to the second incident her employee giving wrong information on dates when late fee are applied. I had to ask her to waive the fee due to the experiences I have been having. Just terrible customer service. Now I was not going to leave a review until today I got hit with $20 late fee and my account is on its 6th day. Mind you my contract was never sent to me when I first open this storage lease so I didn’t even know when late fees would be applied. Just been paying this company since January when I started renting the storage space. Today I called to ask why my account has $20 charge. Gave the customer service my alternate number and Kayla still called my number on file and then leaves email saying she’s trying to reach me but when I am calling no answer. Sent email asking why is my account reflecting this $20 charge she sends a lock out notice and then email a lease I didn’t even notice was apart my actual lease saying a %20 charge can be charged on the 6th day of $20. It’s like wow. All for a storage that was on special that they called me everyday to get and now I’m regretting it. I am moving my things out this storage cause public storage would never give this much headache or just keep charging late fees for a few days being late Or lock my storage and forget to remove the lock once I waste my gas to come check on my items.

My husband and myself are moving to Katy from Harbor Springs, MI. We don't know anyone or anything down there. We are just going to take a leap of faith and jump. We need a place to store our belongings while we get a job and are able to save for something greater than a hotel room. We've called a few storage places to see what amenities they offer. This felt like an ongoing progress. We just weren't happy with the amount of money we would have to put down and pay monthly. The employees weren't pleasant. They acted like they hated their job and hated their customers even more. We decided to give one more place a try before we ended the night. CubeSmart. Kandis answered the phone. The sound of her voice put my racing heart at ease. She made me feel like I was coming home. The way she spoke to me was like we've been friends for a lifetime. Kadis has the most amazing customer service skills I've ever seen in someone. Not only did she reassure me our belongings we going to be safe in their gated felicity. But we also have family heirlooms that I would like to store in a cooler place. Not just outside in the summer heat. She let me know you all offer that as well. This has been the best experience I've had. Not only did I find a great space to store our belongings, but I also made a friend for a lifetime. We love Kandis!

Have to agree with Chris, as a former customer and employee myself, I know the situation has gotten worse here. New corporate level management was brought in and they seemed to genuinely have no idea how to manage a location with office spaces. While I was at the location I did my best to keep all 3 bathrooms available for our office customers, who had access 24/7. During my time there I had no complaints from customers, short of a polite reminder for TP or paper towels to be refilled. Corporate kept pushing the same standards as a typical storage location with no offices (one bathroom locked tucked in the back of the office) and had no concept of how often these facilities were being used by the customers on site. Of course, this standard was unattainable given the situation and the prior employees were used as scapegoats, but as you can see, the problems have only gotten worse. Now, the new employees just keep the doors locked and deny access, which is in no way a solution. You're going to have to direct your complaints up a lot higher than the girls on site to get anything done sadly. The local corporates care more about farming bonuses by cutting back hours and supplies than they do about the actual situation on the ground for customers and new girls don't know any better and will just rubber stamp whatever corporate says to do.

Used to be a good place, but new gals onsite ain't getting it done for this place anymore. Been a customer between storage and office space going on 7 years. I'm now getting printed parking violations put on my windshield, there is nowhere to park for my office... Restrooms are all locked up half the time... Limited access hours which can be problematic when you're used to being able to run up there early in the morning, but then now you can't even get in the gate prior to 6:00 a.m.... If you go up to the office to talk to them there's sign saying they will be back later, but the time reference that they will be back at has long come and gone... Place has been convenient, but in my opinion now it's too expensive for all of these little hassles. We will be moving out.

I've been a customer of this location for close to 6 years. It is a nice, clean, and well run storage facility. The guys up there (Mike and Frank) always are friendly and communicable, and always go out of their way to help however they can. Storage is just another part of business for us, but it's one part of business we never have to worry about. Our stuff is secure and safe, and if we ever need anything the guys up there always try to help however they can. I highly recommend this CubeSmart location.

Don’t store anything here!! We just discovered our inside unit had been broken into. The office manager said “ you’re like the 11 or 12 person” that’s said that! She said it happened about a week ago. Really?? No phone call?!?! Our lock was still on the storage door secured. Sounds like an inside job. Don’t give them your business!!

Their manager Katie is rude and disrespectful.We was lied to from the begin.They said it would be one price and then out ended up being a 140 more.She lied and said that the guy didn't say that.We call all their other suites and found him.He admitted he made a mistake.He apologized and tried to fix it.But he didn't have any luck.He said it was all up to Katie.She doesn't even care that there is a disaster going on.I wouldn't recommend this storage at all.

Just rented a unit a couple of days ago and I can say it was without a doubt a great experience. Katie and Robert took care of me as soon as I walked in the door. They were super friendly and made it so easy and explained all the details to me very clearly. It didn’t take but a few minutes and I was done and able to go right to my unit and get started. On September 1 2019 around 9 AM, I and my client’s daughter (age 16) was harassed, threatened, and treated very rudely by the general manager Katie Campbell. We arrived to this storage facility with the intent to move a client. We experience some entry issues in regards to the code was not working. While on the phone with the customer, the renter of the storage unit, trying to forget our the problem. Katie comes out of the house, that I believe is the onsite living quarters. Rude from the start, stating that “ y’all been here way to long, I don’t know what’s the problem, but imma need y’all to move y’all vehicles.” Then asks “ What’s the problem?”, after explaining the situation, she ask client’s daughter for the last name of her mother. Katie Campbell goes to the office and returns a few moments later, and shares that there is a balance, says that we need to move our vehicles cause nothing can be done til 11. Which was fine, no problem. I call the customer to explain the facts and explain to the workers my workers which was traveling in a vehicle behind the 26 ft moving truck, so they could move, in order to move the moving truck. When Katie Campbell hurry up and move or age is going to call the police and add a $50 fee onto the customer’s account for blocking her gate. This is truly unacceptable, I hope that some corrective training comes out of this situation. And hope that no one will ever go through this type of treatment from a well sounded storage facility like Cube Smart.

I visited this location on Sunday, I showed up right at closing, to my surprise I was not turned away or told to come back the next day. The manager Shelby stopped what she was doing and gave me her full attention. She was happy to provid service as well as show me the units I wanted to see without hesitation and with a smile on her face even though the store was supposed to be closed. The property and office was clean and my wife and I like the fact that there was a manager on site at all times. I’ve heard a lot of good things about CubeSmart but I can tell you they would now be my number one choice.

I visited the location several weeks ago, the manager was very dismissive and rude. I believe his name was "Paul". After the horrible customer service I decided to take my business somewhere else.

New review... New Management with a not give a care attitude. Unsecured location. Gates are often broke and left open. Recent break-in attributed to this new review. Gates were left open the other night and 5 units were broke into. Again management seems to not give a care. Did not even report to the police. Assumed nothing was taken. Surveillance is miniscule, so when I asked about video, it was non-existent. Not only is it poorly managed now and needs a major upgrade in surveillance and security. Not that it really matters it is kind of tough to be around the manager with a bad attitude and smells like an ashtray. I will be moving out soon. Come on in, and help yourself.

VERY EXASPERATING!!! Someone had hacked into my credit card which pays the bill and caused it to be disallowed -- it wouldn't even let me pay at the pump for gasoline. I was notified by email that the payment had not cleared. I called BOTH numbers, trying to pay the bill. I tried NUMEROUS TIMES and kept getting a recorded message. I'm going to have to DRIVE to the location to pay my bill. This is actually my son's storage items, and I feel like having him put them somewhere else. It is INSANE that I CANNOT TALK TO A LIVE HUMAN BEING!

The day I moved in I was caught in traffic and ended up arriving at the facility after it was supposed to close. Thankfully, the manager, Paul, was extremely gracious and opened up after hours to check me in and guide me to my unit, with an up beat demeanor no less! Though moving is always a pain, the management here provided outstanding customer service, going above and beyond to accommodate my needs, making my transition a straightforward and pleasant experience. Otherwise, it's everything you'd expect from a good storage facility: plenty of open lanes to park along the buildings, clean indoor corridors, generous overhead space to stack your belongings, and solid doors/bolts for you to affix your padlock to.

I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Dave at this facility this morning about a rental unit and he was amazingly helpful and polite. It was a very informative conversation as I have never rented a unit for my belongings before and I had many questions I needed to ask him. He answered them all for me and was very re-assuring that my property would be well taken care of and they also had a wonderful special rate as well for me.
