I would rate this lower than 1 star if I could. No one is EVER at the office and if you call during their "hours" they still will not answer you. They increase the rent monthly if not daily. Go to another storage unit facility, I have looked into several others all of which charge $120 less than this useless place. Incredible they charge you hundreds of dollars and can only provide 1 dolly for the entire facility, broken elevators, broken entrances/exits and have zero staff that respond. GO TO ANOTHER FACILITY

The elevator in our unit was broken for 8 months. The call button from the second floor didn’t work. The manager had no sense of urgency to repair it. She told me to leave items unattended, go down the stairs and then ride up to get to my cart. I said what if I don’t want my stuff unattended and she told me, this is a nice neighborhood. I then asked her what if I’m physically disabled. Then she got mad and said she’s trying to get it fixed. It still took months. Ever since CubeSmart took over this facility, it went downhill.

This place is trash. They never have any carts and when I told the teenage kid at the front his response was that they get stolen. So buy more! Way over priced too. I was paying $200/month for an 8x10 and switched to public storage and got a 10x10 for $91/month!

Last year management was good but there's new people here and they're very draining. My items have been being held hostage for over a month now. When I went to retrieve my belongings from the storage unit in August 2024 when the storage unit was up to date with payments the elevator was down and I can't physically carry boxes downstairs nor should I need to considering storage rent is ninety dollars per month. Actually to my knowledge the elevators are still down in October 2024, however, I'm waiting on them to take the lock off of the storage unit - I lost the key back in August when I went to pickup my stuff and the elevators were down. I'm not making anymore payments for the storage unit it seems as if they want me to file a small claims judgement against Cubesmart considering the phone tag games they like to play! If you're looking for storage needs-look elsewhere

I left (1) star because that was the lowest you can go. As with other renters, trying to get a call back is useless. Neither the facility manager, nor the regional manager has ever returned a phone call. To those of you that are new here to this facility, be on the lookout for rent hikes. Most recently, we were given a 23% increase in our rent. When asked, I was informed it was due to market studies. I have a climate controlled unit, on a second floor, back in a corner. That unit is NOT in demand, especially after the elevator does not work. The elevator has not worked in (2) months. I did catch an employee (not sure if she was the manager) and inquired about the elevator. She did not know anything...pretty much sums up whoever graces the office in this facility. One of the other "perks" is the ability to open the gates from the phone app. That hasn't worked either the last few times I've been here. I bet that wasn't part of their market study! When blessed enough to talk to someone about a better explanation on rent increase, I was told that I should go online and rent a new unit, then transfer my belongings from the old unit to the new. That was their answer. Go online and get a new unit. This place will honor the rent for a brief time, but will eventually raise dues. I started out paying $87, and am now at $155. Elevator doesn't work, gates aren't working, facility personnel doesn't return phone calls, and yet, they want us to pay more for less. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you are thinking of moving into this place, don't. Follow Up: Regional Manager did call. My concerns were addressed, not all of them were resolved, as the elevator is still out, but a genuine discussion was had. Regional Manager wants this place to do well. Some of the lingering issues are above his ability to fix, but they are being addressed.

Most outdoor units, if not all, get flooded due to storm drainage design. After smelling molds, we started taking out things to find the source. Mud marks half a way into storage and all in front half furnitures molded beyond salvage. As renter, you never visit storage in heavy rains so the time you get there, the water eventually drains. Owner knows this, also knows are no fix but still rents; malice, theft by design, act of ommission, willfully entering into wrongful and nonbinding contracts. This is public fraud and theft since engagement is corrupt from incepywith selling a faulty product. Manager is rude, disrespectful, annoying, not caring or taking responsibility. Speaks a volume. If you are renting, already been flooded by every rain.

This feedback is for the CubeSmart located on 25595 Westheimer Pkwy., Katy Tx - 77494 The only negative experience I have had is that the manager on duty is almost always never there and even after leaving a message, I never got a call back. In fact there have been days when I first rented the storage facility that I went there 5 times throughout the day and still did not catch her in the office. Left 2 messages by using option #4 but she never returned any of my calls. If only there was a way to get her to call you back, one could wait outside, but you never know when she will really be back. There have been times, she forgot to update or take down the incorrect return time setting on the "I'll be back soon" sign on the door. Other than that it seems like the fill in managers never address any issues including dirty bathrooms with overfilling trash, no toilet paper and just plain dirt all over the hall ways. When the normal manager (the one that is always gone somewhere) is on duty, the place is more cleaner. And finally when I moved out of unit # A1034 but still kept unit # A1033 because I had 4 days left on that unit, the manager failed to tell me that my existing code will not work and that I had to use another one for A1033. In the evening when I was moving out of A1033, I was locked out and had to call the main number by searching on Google to get someone to give me the correct code. Other than that everything else was okay. My combined star rating is 3 for the entire experience, but really this is the actual breakdown. 1. Friendliness of the staff = 5 Stars 2. Cleanliness of the restrooms = 3 Stars 3. General cleanliness of the facility = 5 Stars 4. Ease of use of the facility = 5 Stars 5. Lack of ability to go there after 10 PM = 1 Star 6. The regular manager that hates to sit in that boring office and finds every excuse to run out and never return calls or is unable to remotely answer calls when she is running an errand = 1 Star.

This facility is terrible. The elevator to the second floor was out for a week and a half and the manager didn't seem to care. It worked for a day and then went out for another entire week. You could be stuck with no reasonable access to your stuff. Go somewhere else for your storage believe me.

Nov 2023 - Moving Day. We chose this place after our disappointment with Public Storage. We were only stopping in to ask questions. However, Shay did such a great job with answers, explanations, and tour. We went "All In" with CubeSmart. This place is so much better than Public Storage. We got the same size locker (10×20) with a higher ceiling, lights in the locker, with two different size trolleys, and best of all, it's half the cost. You heard thst right, HALF THE PRICE!!. So our initial experience is outstanding.???? Feb 2024 - doing well! Sooo much better than Public Storage. Glad we made the move. ?????? Apr 2024 - well the 6 month rate increase has hit us... $40 additional a month... not happy but still better off than before.

I rented a storage cube from Shawn at the Katy TX CubeSmart (25595 Westheimer Parkway). He was highly knowledgeable, highly professional, and a very nice person as well. He described all my options so that I could make a decision that fit my needs. After the paperwork and payments had been made, he took me back over to my cube, making sure that I could enter my access code properly and that I could unlock and lock my unit. He was excellent.

I rented from this facility for 2-3 years and had zero issues. The staff is polite and helpful and always greeted you with kindness. This facility is well secured, monitored closely, and always very clean! I highly recommend this location and facility!

I have used a lot of storage units in the past and this place is by far the best experience I’ve had. I worked with Doris and Aimee to execute multiple things in a very short amount of time. They prepared me for the arrival of my POD by blocking off the area for the drop off and assisting the driver with where to put it. They made it very seamless for my movers to come in and move most of my stuff into a POD. Aimee and Doris also simultaneously set me up with a smaller unit for the stuff I am going back for at a later date. They were courteous to my movers, the POD driver, and me. They made something that could’ve been a day of anxiety into a pretty enjoyable day.

Very impressive facility and service to match. Aimee and Doris are very accommodating and helpful, and clearly care about the property and tenants. Cleanest self-storage I have ever seen, and they utilize cylinder locks with unit door alarms for really tight security. Free moving truck is a great bonus. There is also a central support line if they don’t answer at the office so you’ll always be able to get help.

I've been in 6 or 7 different storage facilities over my life. Storage West in Katy, TX is the best. It's the best run storage ever - Aimee (Manager) and Doris (Asst Manager) are the best professionals and always on top of everything. This facility is perfectly maintained at all times. I have never had any issue at this facility - simply the best. I'm even looking to consolidate an out of state storage to this facility.

I have never rented a storage unit before. Naturally I had lots of questions but I didn't need to ask one as Doris explained everything. She took me on a tour of the property explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each unit before recommending one based on the information I had given her. She broke down the pricing, gave me a great rate, explained the rules of the unit, offered extra services and packing materials without being a pushy sales person. Once I had completed my paperwork, reserved the use of the courtesy truck and had other questions answered by Aimee we went back on a reverse tour this time checking my pin code worked at the access points and that my lock secured. It's refreshing to have someone be knowledgeable and detailed about their work while maintaining a very human touch.

This place is great ! Amie and Doris are super friendly and extremely helpful. This was the first time I ever used a storage facility and it was easy. There were no hidden fees, crazy good security, extremely clean, great prices. I called around and they had the best prices in katy. The will even let you use a rental truck to get your belongings for free when you get a unit from them. That was a major deal breaker for me because i Didn’t want to lay a uhaul truck. I feel comfortable knowing the security as well. I highly recommend coming here!

Over the years, I have rented climate controlled space at several different locations. Storage West is head and shoulders above the others. Doris and Aimee are so friendly and accommodating. I’ve had several interactions with them and they have consistently demonstrated great customer service. The entire property is very clean and there are more security features employed than I’ve ever seen. One of my favorite features is the covered area for loading and unloading. So convenient for rainy days. And also the auto-sliding entry doors which are so convenient. Whoever designed the property thought of everything. My only criticism is that when the local team are out on the property helping a customer, the phones transfer over to the offsite headquarter office which has given me inaccurate info. If you are looking to rent space, make sure you are talking directly with the local team... or better yet, just drop in and work with them in person.

I like the big space for the slide auto door and very comfortable to use a pallet jack. The air condition is very good and I like the auto light inside my storage. The best part which I like most is choosing my own Entrance code number which wasn’t available in my previous storage. Well maintained storage and I felt the positive energy in the place.
