DO NOT RENT FROM CubeSmart EVER!! In less than a year, I've gone from paying less than $100/month to paying over $160/month for a run down outdoor unit. As a new customer I'd be paying $100 less than I am now but they don't care about their current customers. I never wanted anything to do with such a horrible company, I was stuck with them when they purchased the Storage Units from another company. The staff is worse than the run down property. They're incompetent and rude with no customer service skill whatsoever. Don't waste your time speaking to Alexis and her bad attitude, she'll treat you like you're trash. Hey CubeSmart, here's an idea - don't hire rude children that have no business in a professional role. Send her packing to a job more appropriate for her skill level. The laughable "repair" that was made to the pavement outside my unit caused pavement dust to cover everything inside of my unit. When brought to the so called General Manager's attention, her pathetic response was "it's an outdoor unit and sometimes you're going to get a bug or two (HA! More like infested with bugs!) and a little bit of dust." It was not a little bit of dust, it covered my entire unit in filthy dust. It was the Owner/Landlord's responsibility to protect the units from debris caused by a Landlord repair or at the very least inform the tenants that the repair was taking place so that appropriate precautions could be taken. Alexis's response "No one told me to do that". Wow, just wow. Your terrible excuse for a manager and your assistant manager gave me the same offer, "move to a smaller unit or let's schedule your move-out". ZERO STARS CubeSmart

Being in the military and having to move around a lot is a hassle. Alexis knew this and provided the best customer service I've seen. She displayed the ability to understand me, and after hearing my situation, she quickly gave me a solution that helped a lot. I was unaware of a lot of things having to do with my account at cubesmart. Alexis showed no sign of frustration as she explained the details. She is very knowledgeable, professional and polite. In my short evaluation of her I believe she deserves recognition for her loyalty in making sure I was helped while following company guidelines. She made me feel that I will not have regrets being a customer at cubsmart. Thank you Alexis for your help.

This place is horrible. I would never in my entire life recommend this place to a friend, loved one, or a family member. It is infested with rats. They’ve even transferred ownership of this property during my tenure of the storage unit. Someone had even opened our unit to put packets of rat poison inside in order to make them die off. My personal affects were ruined. Objects I have had for over a decade. Things given to me by people who are no longer alive anymore, were chewed through by rats and buried in copious amounts of rat feces. The storage unit was paid for, for almost a year. I thought naively my stuff inside would be safe. Nope! There were also various bugs and insects inside of my boxes. The rats chewed through plastic even, and then burrowed into my storage containers. The new owners appear to be helpful, but they’re really not. After seeing the state of my things, I left things in my unit because they were too far gone or just covered in so much rat feces, I wasn’t about to shake it off, clean it, and then put it in my vehicle. They want to charge me a fee for leaving my prized possessions in the unit instead of clearing it all out, which through their poor upkeep has now turned into garbage. The stuff I left behind is just garbage now. There’s not even a dumpster on site to dispose of the stuff that gets ruined by their poor management. Haha, yeah no, you can figure a way to deal with it. Not to mention the insurance policy I paid for won’t even cover the full-or even a fraction of the cost of things that were ruined in there. And whoever called me earlier to try to charge me (go ahead), but wanted to be cynical and passive aggressive about it needs to get fired. She was rude, and completely disrespectful and not at all understanding. DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT HERE. YOUR THINGS WILL NOT BE SAFE.

Just had our 2023 travel trailer stolen from here mid February 2024. There was also a storage unit break in mid January 2024 ($30k of supplies). Management never told us about the January break in and it could have prevented the theft of our trailer had they done their due diligence! They say their security gate with a code to enter and exit was working mid Feb, however the day we went to pick up our trailer Feb 29 the gate was not working. Gate wide open when we arrived. Also their security cameras on the storage units do not work nor do the ones on the office! They blamed the office cameras malfunction from the remodel storquest is doing but say the storage unit cameras never worked. WTH!? Careful what you pay for. Sounds like ours was an inside job. We have never taken our trailer for more than 5 days and no one questioned why it had been gone for two weeks!! No on has ever been on property, in the office,when I’ve gone out there since storquest took over but now with the reno, maybe there will be. However faulty equipment and a false sense of security is shameful! If their cameras worked, maybe they could recognize the tenant doing the thefts. Or maybe the gate has been broken since our last trip out there mid January! Oh and no responsibility from the facility for the theft! Civil suit in pursuit for gross negligence!

Beware of their bad business. I rented a small unit around spring and moved out this early this month. Come to find some of my clothes chewed up boxes chewed up. Rat poop everywhere and they do not want to be accountable to take care of the place do an extermination. I got pictures of it. The office does not answer during business hour and they are not helpful.

Renter Beware - I have moved out of my storage and have been trying to close my account for a week now. There is never anybody at the office, I haven't heard back via email, and their auto phone system is the most frustrating system I have ever used. I will never use StorQuest again to avoid ever having to deal with their system again. This is not to mention the boards missing in the back fence allowing any rift raft in to the facility, a unit's contents (mostly garbage) spilling into one of the aisles, another unit seemingly occupied by a suspicious looking "tenant" and what looks like pry bar marks on my unit's door. Also, price was reasonable up front but was raised after 3 months. Only silver lining was the very friendly lady that helped me set up the unit originally.

4 words: Leader Manager Tonya Dotson. I have worked in service to others for 35 years and have never seen an employee so dedicated to truly helping a new customer in need as I did when I met Tonya Dotson. The patience, kindness and grace she showed me will not soon be forgotten.(Your company has a customer for life in me.) She, in every way a company could want, went above and beyond to make both me and the items I stored with you feel secure, welcomed, and most of all safe. I walked into your Leander location on what may be the darkest day any man could have, and left that afternoon with more than a small part of my faith in humanity restored. All because of Tonya Dotson. I gather this review may not read like a normal “space was great, service was fast, people were great” review, and that is intentional. I’m hoping this is read by a real person, and that someone or everyone in your company knows what this amazing employee did for a random stranger. From the kindness and grace she showed me in our first phone call, to her meeting me at my units location (It’s under construction so the office is closed) the very next morning, to her walking me through the process of rental with a mind toward my safety and security and then finally her insistence that she return to my location on her way home that evening to deal with a lock issue. If I could give her an 11 out of 10 I would. Ms./Mrs Dotson was so far and beyond exemplary I struggle find the words to express just how amazing she was. -Joshua

Don’t rent here. They overcharge you more than your bill, make it a hassle to be refunded and won’t answer the phones to take a payment after their auto-payment system doesn’t charge you. Terrible service and terrible company. Customer service reps will argue over the phone because they outsource and don’t actually work at storage facility. Highly don’t recommend

This place started off ok 2 years ago, but beginning last October in 2021, I was double charged for Oct, Nov, Dec. I have been to the office several times to get this corrected and they promised me Jan, Feb, March would be free due to the overcharges - that never happened. I moved out at the end of March and I still received a charge! They claim they have taken my credit card off the system. They keep promising a manager will call me - never happened. I have alerted my credit card company. Save yourself time and trouble and stay away from this place!

Had no issues here, but I do know that some of the units roofs leaked. Website is awful. Difficult to do anything on it. Takes me 5-6 attempts just to pay my monthly dues. Update: I posted preceding review when the place was Great Value Storage. Under the StorQuest brand, the website is much better.

Don't know what to think, have been a loyal customer for about 2years now, went in to pay my bill and the computer said I was moved out since December . Gave them a day to clear up problem and they called me the next day, and said yeah we got it straightened out. By the way since I wasn't in the system I did not receive notification of rate increase . My space went from $80 to $129 payable now. "What the hell " That is about a 60% increase. Not cool. And so what I did, was pay $80 or my normal payment and arranged to pay the balance in a couple of weeks. Well what ended up happening was found another unit ,literally down the street so I was going to go get my stuff organized and THEY PUT A LOCK ON MY UNIT, LIKE I DON'T PAY MY BILL.
