I recently rented an ac cooled 10x10 unit. Mrs. Joyce was very professional over the phone and stayed on with me to answer any questions that I had as a first time storage renter. The unit was very clean when I got there and the ac kept me cool in the blazing Texas heat. There was only one thing that wasn’t ideal, I was given two 5X10 instead of a singular 10x10 unit. I planned on moving large furniture in an out weekly and I may be limited on how I can use the space. I was charged nearly $40 when I moved in for a CubeSmart lock but since I have 2 units I’m not sure if that’s the cost for 2 locks or just the one that I was expecting. Nevertheless, the communication on the phone was very professional and the information provided in the emails is straight forward. Thank you again to Mrs. Joyce and the rest of the staff!

BUYER BEWARE. This location is the worst storage location I have ever experienced in my life. They claim they are customer service focused but don’t let them fool you, they are money hungry scam artists. I rented a unit and moved in the end of December 2023 and they sent a rent increase May 2024. This confused me because I have never seen a large rent increase like that, especially so soon after I moved in my unit. I called in May, the general manager ( Tammy) told me they sometimes have “ yearly increases “ and I informed her I haven’t even been in there for 6 months, let alone a year. She said she would look into and give me a call back. I never received a call back from her or any further information. I called two weeks later, an employee answered and claimed they were going to speak to the company and get back to me. I never received a call back. I called two days ago asking about the status and he again said, he is going to speak to the company and call me back. I never got a call back. I finally just went inside the location and the general manager was extremely rude and nonchalant about the entire thing. I asked her if they would be decreasing the rate when the street rate goes down since that was the justification for It going up and she said no, that doesn’t happen. I said so at any point in time you all can increase the rate whenever you feel like It and It won’t ever go down, she said yes. I said to her why didn’t someone inform me that there is a possibility of increases prior to a year and she said “ it’s not my job for you to read the lease”. I said I called back in may and things are still not resolved and her response was “ you aren’t our only customer” and she lied and said they have been sending me emails and texts, both were false because the only communication between us was when I was calling and emailing. As I’m continuing to ask questions, she stated “ i’m not arguing with you so you can leave my office”. I firmly said no because I was requesting information for the corporate office. She wouldn’t give me the information. It got to the point where she just stopped responding all together as i’m trying to speak to her and ignored me as i’m standing there. Along with the other employees who just stood there acting like I wasn’t there. No solution was provided and no response from corporate was given even though they claimed they reached out to them. It was clear that they couldn’t care less about their customers because they are just trying to fill their units for the highest price possible and push out all existing customers with their sneaky financial gain tactics. Overall this is the worst storage unit experience I have ever had. Don’t be fooled by the rates they give you up front because in a couple months they will go up and continue to go up until the pockets of the company are satisfied. They are money hungry and don’t care about customers at all. Be very cautious when considering this location. Also be very cautious of this extremely rude manager. Other reviews about this let me know i’m not the only person who has had a terrible experience with this location and their manager. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Went from a small unit to a bigger unit and rent was far then at 4 months after moving into bigger unit rent went up $45 more. I Called them and gave them chance to fix it but don't let them full you yes it's frustrating when rent goes up just started a new rental and in 4 months you raise it is b's. Go ahead and try to cover it up and asking me to talk it over with you. The staff there are nice but when it comes to the owner on the other hand. I would never recommend anyone to come to your location. You shouldn't even get a ?? but for me to leave you this message I had to give one.

I began my self-storage search maybe a week ago. When I ran across the reviews for Cubesmart it ended. When we walked in the service I was expecting I experienced. Tammy and Victor are 5 star and so very nice and accommodating. They are the only reason we stayed. Cubesmart as a company is terrible. We moved to Cubesmart because our other unit went up to 325.00. We got a 4 month deal here for 190.00. That was terrific until they raised us to 322.00. That is quite a raise. So basically, they reel you in with this great deal and then they stick it to you. I did argue and get it down to 290.00, but that's still almost double.

I donated a grand piano in storage to a college, but had large rwool rugs in storage I intended to keep when closing out the unit. They were completely destroyed by moths. I had to dispose of them. So apparently there is not pesticide program in the units so any infestation is free to jump from one unit to the next.

We used the McKinney Cube Smart to store some items while we were staging and selling our home. We looked at several storage facilities and didn't hesitate to rent from Cube Smart when we saw it. The manager was on-site; she showed us our exact unit before we rented it. It was incredibily clean and contained pest repellants. The roof was in great shape. We could not find managers on the premises at other places we visited, bolts were broken on units and there were obvious roof leaks even in climate controlled areas. Cube Smart had none of those issues and it has carts at the doors that really help with loading and unloading. The security on the premises looked very good. Cameras, coded doors and gates. Overall a great experience.

I wanted to put no stars, but it wouldn't let me. I had a reservation set to move in May 12th. I had called twice to talk to the young gentleman to square away all the things (I am over persistent haha). Then I called on May 10th just to confirm and they had cancelled my reservation.. for no reason. So now I am out of a storage unit with 2 days in advance. The gentleman I talked to on the 10th had "no explanation for me why they cancelled your unit". So sad... but I will not be conducting business here ever again.

I was on my way to rent from a different CubeSmart location when I drove past this one. The manager was very kind and provided the differences between the two locations. This location is a CubeSmart"managed" facility vs the other being owned by CubeSmart. The other had someone living at the facility vs this one did not. Otherwise both had the same security features. The manager offered to show me the unit and although the floor was dirty it was easy to get to and did not have an 8ft limit for the ceiling since it was single story. I decided to rent from this location and it was $5 cheaper a month. After 15 minutes of setup I was ready to go and I had autopay completed as well. I used the security code at the gate and the door with no trouble or waiting. The unit was already cleaned when I got there so I unloaded and was on my way to buy a lock. The manager offered to lock my unit with their lock until I returned with my own. This leads to my only issue and it is with the $17.99 lock they offer. I was able to get a better one for $5 cheaper at Lowes. I could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere but I needed it then. All in all this was a good renting experience and the manager was great to work with.

Clean and people are nice BUT.... This place will raise your monthly dues every 6-12 months. I have had a unit there for 18 months and mine has gone up twice and is almost $50 more a month that were I started.... Pretty sure this is standard practice with all storage units but I find it bad business.

I have had storage units at other facilities, but none have ever had such excellent customer service and attentiveness. Renee and Tammy take great care of the property and customers. They are continually monitoring the property and do little things like notice if you have been moving for some time and offer you water. It just makes sense to store your valuables with people who care.

Renee is awesome! Super friendly and helpful. Plus the price is great. Probably the best price in the north metroplex area. The climate controlled units are all on the first floor and have 12’ ceilings. Lots of room to stack. Check it out the photo below which is. 20’ x 10’ unit with what seems like at least a 12’ ceiling.

This location is awesome. Renee is so friendly and helpful. We had a small unit that we outgrew and she helped us pick out a larger unit and actually helped us discuss options to save. The area is always clean and pretty quiet. She made sure the newubit we were moving to was blown out properly and provided advice on how to set up our space. Great price and easy access with plenty of space to park because some storage places are not friendly and it's hard to park without taking up some of the road.

This Cubesmart should be the model store. If new hires need to see what right looks like, this location exhibits professionalism. I made my reservation online and the day I was scheduled to arrive, Matthew contacted me and inquired about my reservation. He was so pleasant, professional, kind and considerate. I explained to Matthew that my 1100 mile journey was delayed and I needed to push the date back and possibly change the size of my unit. Upon my arrival, Matthew did not disappoint. In person, he connected with me, saw my fatigue and offered my water, then found an available unit to meet my needs. Thank you Cubesmart for employing such a caring employee.

Just rented my 1st CubeSmart storage unit today. Very pleasant experience: I called and let them know that I would be arriving with my entire truckload of household goods almost at closing time! Caseye Thompson assured me she would wait for me to arrive. She not only waited, she stuck around for another hour or more to ensure that all of our stuff was going to fit in the unit we rented. Very nice service! The place is very clean and seems very secure (cameras, high fence, lighting, etc). Even though I don't want to store my stuff indefinitely, I am very impressed with my first experience and anticipate that it will be just as smooth when we finally move out and into our new home.

This is a brand new location so the units are readily available and super clean. We opted for the climate-controlled type. There is an electronic gated entry, and you also have to enter a code to get into the indoor units. We felt that our belongings were very secure. We only used the unit for about a month, but we did not see any evidence of rodents or anything unseemly. A rolling cart is available right inside the section which is really helpful if you don't have a dolly of your own. They have music playing in the indoor units too, which was an unexpected thing for us at first. Nice touch. Since the unit was indoors, it is much darker than the ones outside that the sunlight can come into when the door is open, even though there is plenty of light in the hallway. If you get a long unit and have stuff in the back, bring a flashlight. Also, be sure to bring your homeowner's insurance policy when you sign up, or else you will have to pay extra for their coverage. The price was super reasonable, which is one of the main reasons we chose the location. The best part of our experience was meeting and talking to David, the manager. He is a great guy who was also super helpful, attentive, and friendly. We would highly recommend this CubeSmart and would use it again if the need arose.
