Just in case my review was deleted Here are the photos after my unit was broken into at this facility. Tamara stole my table. She locked us outta the property while moving out Our access was declined They are letting these ppl steal your items. Gates don't work security cameras don't work lights in the units and on property don't work. I'm not sure if this facility even has a operational insurance plan for renters that they say you have to have before you rent here. I'm still waiting for answers .. Update 1/28/25 This CubeSmart facility is allowing these ppl to steal your things. They are working with the thieves. I filed a police report and the police told me CubeSmart would not authorize the police department to view any of there surveillance videos and this has been going on for 5 plus years. I also took the time to speak with 6 other storage companies and they all said the same thing. Their facility doesn't have break ins like that.. if it does it's usually someone that WORKS THERE or someone who knew the person that moved in. Also I'm planning on pursuing charges against Tamara for stealing my table

This place was rat infested. Replace back door without installing the inside of door slides to lock the door from the inside. Because of this my unit and also 15 other units were broken into. I had over $22,600.00 worth of tools stolen. Manager is rudest person I have ever had to deal with. Rent will increase every 6 months. I had 6 units, this started during covid and never stopped. I also had been there since 2015.

Not only did Cubesmart raise rates consistently and substantially but I found out they just sold the location in Richmond on 1093 to Devon Self Storage and never notified renters. Devon sent information with a letter mailed 12/24/2021 that rents due 12/14 on should be sent to them. The notices were so late it was not possible to stop auto debits and then the phone number on the letters has no answer and if you ring long enough a Verizon message comes on making it seem a cellular. I did finally reach Cubesmart to complain and find out if this was legitimate but the entire exchange says a lot about what to expect in terms of service or even access.

Great location! Cube Smart has the perfect storage size for your needs. From a small climate controlled closet to a huge garage to an outdoor parking spot for a RV, you can fit just about anything your heart desires. The CubeSmart storage facility at 19840 FM 1093 in Richmond, TX has been the base for our business for many years and we have always received excellent service. The value of both the space (an inside storage unit and an outside covered parking space) and the service provided by the office staff is incredible compared to renting our own dedicated facility and having to keep it manned.

We have two lockers here at CubeSmart. One was broken into by way of someone cutting the lock off. It was a high-security cylinder lock. They broke into several units in the back of the property. The management did not notify us for over a week. I don't think that's very good management skills. We have one climate controlled locker It was always too hot in the summer to really utilize comfortably. It was the drive up Locker that was broken into. The police were called but they did not call the renters whose lockers were broken into in a timely way. There are way too many lights that have been out ALL OVER THE PROPERTY for way too long. I told the office employee about it and we'll follow up on it again.

I have stored with this location for over a year. The general manager Sharon and her assistant work hard to ensure their customers are happy. I see them out on the property interacting with the customers, cleaning, checking on the facility. This is the only place I will store my items because of the way the management takes care of me.

DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE! Do not deal with Location Manager Sharon I was robbed after three weeks of renting 20x10 storage. My last check of unit was Dec 13th and on my next visit Dec 16th I found door half way open. So three days lock was missing and door halfway open and no one in facility noticed that? Cubesmart Manager Sharon abouslutly did nothing and didn't care. I was robbed half of everything that I own and CubeSmart has proven to have horrendous customer service and have not been helpful in this process. There’s absolutely no point in paying money for “secure” facility....if your items aren’t actually secure.

Haven't had much issues with them. Decent customer service. Once you setup auto pay you dont really have to interact with anyone. Place could use more pest control as i saw 2 big spiders in the controlled areas. I cannot use moth balls because it makes my business packaging smell other than that place is good.

My rv was vandalized, catalytic converter was stolen. 5 other units parked here were also vandalized the same night. No one was allowed to look at the camera video, not even the police. Come to find out this isn't the first time there have been thefts at this location. Will not be back and will not refer anyone !!

They will RAISE your rent every single month, they will add $100 “auction fee” if you are late and then sell your possessions. Your access to your storage unit will get revoked after only six days late payment. I also got trapped inside the gate because it was 1 min after closing, I waited 45 minuted for their incompetent managers to get me out. I was with them for over one year and at the end they treated me very poorly, all they did was raise my rent every month. I tried to pay online, their system was down, then went to the actual office, their system was down. Unable to pay online yet still they added $100 fee plus 2-3 other bs fees. I would not recommend this place at all.

Last minute when I was about to book another company’s storage unit, my brother told me about Cubesmart. I never heard of them before but I never needed a storage unit before. The experience has been great. The manager, Denzel, was remarkably patient with my million questions and switching gears. Every once in a while you come across a person helping you that is just what you need. The storage unit is well priced for the size. Last year I shopped around online for a storage close by and found this CubeSmart. The price was great in comparison to surrounding Storages and closer to Katy, where I live. I finally decided to go by and check them out. The office times are so convenient. They are opened even on Sundays which most storage places are not closed. The manager Denzel was very professional and willing to answer all my questions. I reserved a unit online, drove by, talked to him and WHALAH, got my business. I got access immediately and even got a month free. Very satisfied.

It was a very difficult moment in my life to put my items in storage but the phenomenal caring customer service that Shannon and Amanda had showed me made it so easy. We went over options and they both rode me around in the golf cart to show me which one suits me then I made the final decision on two different days. I have been using this location for 17 months now having moved from another location. I have rave reviews for where I am now because it is all about the Manager who is actually generally concerned about keeping you satisfied and is always asking if there is anything they can do. Most recently I needed to downsize and she stepped up to the plate yet again. Unfortunately I won't be needing the unit too much longer. I will certainly use them again. If you are in need of a storage facility then you would certainly be remiss if you did not check this location out. Coupled with great rates and absolutely clean storage units this Manager is certainly an asset to CubeSmart.

I rented a climate controlled storage unit sight unseen from Cube Smart. I was hoping everything would fit and that it was a clean safe place. 8 months later I made it to check on my furnishings. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the storage unit and the surrounding area. As we removed our stuff to move into our new house I was very pleased to NOT find any signs of mice or bugs in our belongings. I know that can be an issue with other storage units I have used in other states I rented one. I found the desk clerk, Amanda, to be very personable and professional. She helped me with all my needs. I highly recommend the Cube Smart storage facility on 1093! UPDATE: after 4 years of paying over $300.00 a month and being flooded 3 times I have to change my review. Insurance isn’t worth a penny you are forced to pay. I didn’t get offered a new spot until the 3rd and worst flooding of my unit. I got no help moving my stuff and they raised that rent within 6 months.

BEWARE - DO NOT RENT HERE. I have been at this place for several years and have seen this place go severely downhill. The paint has been chiping everywhere, toilets has been bad, several breakins have happened, including in my unit; I have had to install my own security camera and so have several other long term tenants. Rent has been increasing every year but service and qualtiy has been steadily reducing. Now the entry gate has issues where you have to enter your gate code and wait for over 3-4 minutes to open; the panel just says code entered successfully and thats it.. Sometimes several cars are waiting in front of the gate for it open. And this is a daily headache as I am at this facility every day and spend close to 30-40 a day (combined) waiting for the gate to open. I have reached out to management regularly for over 2 months since this started to be an issue; I have spoken to 8 different people and every one passes the buck to a manager named Cory. Today I finally spoke to Cory and all I was told that she never got the message. Furthermore she was not able to get this fixed because it was to get people/parts during holiday season. However this issues has been going on since long before the holiday season. She was very rude and brash and finally hung up the phone on me. Please beware that this place is no longer as good as it once was and you will find that you will regret renting here, especially considering that there are several other storage places very close by.

Renting a space was effortless and friendly. They showed me three spots and let me pick the one I wanted.When I parked my motor home in it, the space was too short and I was charged a fee to upgrade to the next size parking space. I don't believe they should have charged me for the upgrade since the spaces they showed me were too short for my motor home. Other wise all was great

I called this location for storage as it is on my way to work everyday. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful. She answered all my questions and included information that I had not thought of. When I went to rent the space I found the place very clean and everyone behind the counter was friednly. BAD EXPERIENCE: I called to get a quote & was given a decent price for climate & non climate units & was informed by a man there about access to the location and he explained how if I was to leave early it would be prorated. I called back & spoke to another person a woman and she told me he quoted me wrong & gave me prices about $75 more. Then told me the one I was looking for was not available she only had a climate controlled which was $100 more as well and that was all she could sell me. While on the phone with her I asked her to explain the information regarding the storage area, access & move out information and anything else I needed since I was given wrong information about the price. She didn't have it all together and was shuffling around papers & asking another woman names Sue. I put the unit on hold and my husband was going to head that way and sign the papers. When he arrived he was told rent was due on 1st of month & we would not be prorated if we left early and we would be out the rest of the month's rent. So he cancelled the order. I called back & spoke to the same woman asking her why she never informed me of the rent policy & the prorate policy like I had asked. She didn't have an answer. I told her it was bad customer service since I had asked for everything over the phone. It clearly states on the on hold message that the lines are recorded for customer service training. I told her she needed more training & needs to tell her customers everything prior to them getting anything. She passed the phone to SUE who I am assuming owns the place. Sue in-turn stated yelling " WHO IS THIS" & " WHO IS THIS" I told her she needed to have her people give exact information & train them better in customer service. SUE again was yelling -I can't put everything here because they are bad words. I told her she just lost a customer & I would let every one know not to do business with them. SUE is a bad talker & just cussed at me again & I hung up. ANYONE WANTING TO DO BUSINESS WITH PRIVATE MINI STORAGE ON FM 1093 IN RICHMOND. PLEASE DON'T UNLESS YOU JUST LIKE TO TOSS MONEY & HAVE PEOPLE TREAT YOU BAD. GOOD LUCK SUE.
