We live out of state and had stuff in storage for a very long time. Around 17 years. We finally made it back to get it out. James was amazing and so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He helped the transition go smoothly. He answered questions and checked on us frequently. The carts are so helpful and being able to park right at opening was great. Having it climate controlled provided our belongings from warping or molding.

Wow. I get why they call it cubesmart, because you'd have to be stupid to store your stuff anywhere else. 1. I'm a messy eater, and as I was loading my washer and dryer into my storage unit, I spilled French fries several times since I like to multitask. 99.99% of the time, I won't eat food off the floor, but this cubesmart is so clean that I had no issues eating my lost fries... with out using my hands ?? 2. The staff there is phenomenal. Casey is an absolute dream. Her Tyler texas accent and professional demeanor sent my head spinning and my heart racing. Moreover, I didn't realize cubesmart hired psychics. When I walked in to get the unit, Casey kept trying to upsell me a larger unit. I didnt know why she was so insistent at the time, but now its clear. Somehow, Casey was able to see in to the future exactly 2 weeks and sense that my girlfriend and I were going to break up and I'd need to store all my stuff while I look for a new place. She saved me a ton of headache and money and I'm really appreciative. This is the kinda service you won't get at stupid uhaul or at Cubedumb 3. The prices. If my (now) ex girlfriend was as reasonable as the rates at cubesmart, I wouldn't even need to write this review because we'd still be together. But then again, if she were as reasonable as the rates at cubesmart Helotes then I would've never met and fallen in love with Casey or had delicious floor fries... ah roads not travelled... Hey Casey, call me ????

James was great - he called me and explained the site wasn't going to be open the weekend I rented and had to move my stuff in. I, however, had to move things on that weekend, and he, with no issue, canceled the contract. I didn't know it was closed that weekend, and he was excellent in his customer service and didn't argue or try to do anything but help. In FACT, he wanted to find me another unit somewhere else! We have been customers since we moved to San Antonio 5 years ago.We looked online at the reviews and it didn't seem like a bad idea to store our household goods here.We needed a humidity controlled unit and waited for a 10x10 to be available. Over the years things went smoothly but the rent kept increasing,which was understandable so we were going to downsize to move to a smaller unit but we just kept putting it off and we stayed way longer than we intended. We took our Christmas stuff back in January and there were no issues still. Fast forward to March when we went to get our luggage from storage.We went to our unit and our key wasn't working and we didn't know why. We flipped the lock over *which looked identical to our round lock,red sticker and all* and took a picture of the back of it.It said Uncle Bob's Storage on it.So we went to the front desk to find out what was going on. The front desk person came up with us and said they had been broken into but our unit was not effected. We told her about the lock being changed and we could not get into our unit. We had to cut the lock off and sure enough our unit had been hit. Our luggage was gone and 2 very expensive Lego sets were missing that we had just received for Christmas. The person put a lock on it to come back. Come to find out the person who did it,checked in online and wasn't even in person to do the storage rental,came in after hours and stayed all night wiping units out. They did not call anyone to let them know what had happened. We had been there January 18th dropping off our Christmas stuff and it happened on the 21st. They could have at least given a courtesy call to all of the units that rent in the facility to let us know what had happened so we could at least come check our unit out. So we had to make a claim on our insurance and file a police report which could have taken place months earlier. We decided to move out when they upped our rent to $200 after this happened. We cleared out our spare room and now have all of our belongings in our house. We will not use this company again since they allow online rentals and you don't have to show up in person to claim your unit. This was very poor customer service on their part. I won't trust anyone with my household goods again.

Unit was broken into and since I used my own lock I was told I was not covered under their insurance they made mandatory to have the unit. Price raise of over $30 in 2 years as well. Broken doors and elevators didn’t help the situation either. Will not use CubeSmart again. I would rather have a storage bedroom in my house.

It's a descent and clean facility and the front desk workers are very nice. My only probably (and a very expensive one if you're not just needing short-term storage) is that this specific location is not flexible with regards to payment increases. My rent keeps increasing and the same unit online, for the same size and type of unit, is over $100 cheaper now. I said I will just close out my current account and go with the new one online and move everything from one unit to the other, but I'd rather not have to do that and asked if the rent could just be changed to the same as what's being advertised online, which didn't happen. The call center said that made sense, but I needed to call the store because that was a management decision...soooo I will be moving myself this weekend rather than throw over $100 away every month. To me it's bad business to increase prices because you know people aren't going to want to move all their stuff that often and can get paid those increases due to that fact. I will look more into other storage places and be sure to ask more questions with regards to long term storage before i move my stuff into another facility.

What a find! I was looking for a small climate-controlled storage space close to home. Cube Smart's website was easy to use and I was able to set up an account, select a storage unit, set up auto pay, and make my initial payment in just minutes. My unit was clean and contained a welcome package with a lock and key. After I purged everything I had in storage, closing my account was super easy as well. The reason for needing a storage unit was downsizing from a large apartment to a small apartment and not really having time to go through everything before I needed to move. The location was clean, cool, and had very convenient hours of operation.

Everyone has been so helpful. A lot of follow up as we ended up checking in a few days later than expected. Spotless facility, very secure, extremely happy so far

I went in on Saturday and was in a bit of a rush, but the Manager listed to my needs and walked me around to two units, where I picked one. The sign up cost and first month free along with the quick sign up process was very nice. Easy to work with and easy to understand. thanks!

Seems to be a lot of fees that were not disclosed when looking at monthly charges on line. Facility is in very good condition. Employees very professional and friendly. Access is easy. Great location. Mandated insurance. Would check with other insurance coverage before signing. $12/mo for $2K coverage seems high.

This location consistently has the best prices in town. Customer service is amazing. Within 30 minutes of making an online reservation I received a confirmation call. When I arrived at the location, I was remembered by the rep and received my unit within 10 minutes. Definitely recommended.

I called CubeSmart after finding out that the place where we had confirmed a storage room was not available after all. Both Diane and James were so helpful. They reached out to us and made our move so much easier. They had a room the size we needed and helped us find a place to turn our U-Haul in that was closer than where we had been told to go. I had the most pleasant experience at Cubesmart thanks to Mr. Mike Ellis. I moved here from Kansas and had reserved a storage unit at a different only to get here and find out that all of the units were not climate controlled I needed climate controlled units to store Items that would not hold up in the heat here in Texas. I had two truck loads of items and was not pleased to find out I could not use the storage units I had reserved. After searching around for hours we stopped at Cubesmart where we found Mike working on of the most pleasant people I have met here in San Antonio Mike assisted us with the units we needed, and all was well. Than you cubesmart for hiring people with such good customer service.

Look elsewhere; this place is expensive. And they raised my monthly rent before my third payment. They also REQUIRE insurance on your stuff. Insurance should be a choice. If you don't have proof that you have coverage (through homeowners or renters, etc.) they charge you an extra $10 per month for their coverage.
