I've been waiting for months to have the light outside of my unit to be fixed even though I've notified them twice of the issue. The constant increases in pricing is an annoyance also, but I understand that is what you get with all storage places. For close to $300 a month, I'd at least like some responsiveness to basic safety and maintenance issues.

Wow, I can’t say any more positive things about this storage facility and staff. I’ve been a customer at this location for over 10 years and it’s been a great experience from start to finish. The facility is always clean, quiet, safe, and has all the amenities I need (carts, boxes, etc.). And the best part of this location is the staff. Shalynna, the general manager, has been extremely helpful in all things. She was kind enough to cut my lock (with efficiency and ease might just add), when I couldn’t locate the keys for my unit. She also was so friendly and welcoming during my visit. Overall, great experience. I will use this location for all my storage needs.

I had some water damage in my unit unfortunately which I thought would be a huge headache. Management was super prompt in finding me another unit in the building, giving me a great deal on pricing, and generally working with me to help coordinate this move as I was several state lines away. They even helped me replace my lock and a couple of damaged boxes. The process was much more streamlined than I expected! Thanks to the management at this location!

Overall clean facility for the 1.5 years we used it. The low rating is because I found out on the day I was moving out that ac on half the 3rd floor was out and had been out for 3 weeks. No notice was sent to customers that their climate controlled units were not actively climate controlled. As of writing this, Ac was going on week 5 of not working and no scheduled appointment, and customers still have not been notified nor has a credit or alternative storage options been offered. Was told that it’s likely that nothing will be done about it because “these type of things happen”.

I was quoted a price that supposedly included all the fees, but when I went to pay I had three different additional charges. Way more money than I wanted to spend, but still a moderately reasonable price. I asked about up-charging the unit while I was renting, they said since the units are a month-to-month lease they can do that. In order for them to do so they have to send out a 30 day notice of the price change, typically through the mail.

The staff (GM Shellynna and on site fellow named Lock) receive 5-stars. Also whomever the two people on the phone were regarding initial reservation and confirmation. All these agents of CubeSmart were courteous and informative. The GM stayed well past normal business hours (and helped answer a plethora of questions) on the day I rented, and a little past normal business hours on the following day when I was checking the box truck back in. The property seems well maintained and the cube rented was clean, though have noticed three flaws within the first week of renting... (1) I'm keeping sense of some climate control fluctuations I've felt within the building my cube is in over the first ten days. **Hope we climate control smartcube tenants aren't in for a failed climate control situation as experienced by a 1-star reviewer of this property last year. (2) Over the first weekend that I signed for the cube, all the front sets of entry doors were non-functional and awaiting a repair tech. (3) On 8/5/21 @ 9:37pm I arrived for a ten-minute drop off and the main entrance gate was wide open and not because of anyone who'd just passed through it (as at the time it was clear by driving from the entrance to the exit and through the "opened" entrance again, that no other persons were at the property). I tried to call the customer service in order to make someone along the chain of command aware of this..., but then thankfully by 9:54 as I left through the exit gate, I saw that the entrance gate had closed. The box truck was very useful but had two downsides... (1) The truck can only be rented in 4-hour blocks, which for the going rate + admin fee comes out to much more than a daily U-Haul rate. (2) It's pretty sluggish and you can definitely feel and hear some transmission stressing both while in drive and when shifted into park after a 3 mile trip (yes, that's a 3). Nothing wrong with a strong 4-star rating here, hope to even change it to 5-star by the time my CubeSmart rental is done.

We have had a unit with this location for 3 years while stationed in Hawaii. Paid by the year, never worried over our things. Everything is clean and well taken care of. I was finally able to collect out things last month and Francheska was such a great help. I was alone, from out of state, no key and a hot mess and Francheska knew exactly how to handle me, calmed me down and got me in and out of our cubesmart unit without tears and driving away with a smile on my face. Moving is always stressful and if you have to leave things behind it’s hard. Cubesmart is affordable and secure and if all the staff is as helpful and knowledgeable as Francheska, rest assured, you and your things are in great hands.

We have rented from this storage unit complex 5 times now. Each time we have been pleased with unit availability, cleanliness, security and price. I especially like that we get the use of their moving truck for only a $10 admin fee and the cost of gas and also that we aren't locked into a contract. As soon as we move one child out, another tends to move in and we don't have any idea how long they will be home so I don't want to be locked in to a unit for a year if our kids move out in 6 months or whatever. We will continue to go back to this location!

Though the storage facility itself is fine, secure and clean, the lack of communication up front can be costly, especially if you are not an experienced mover. I was not told I would have access to an onsite box truck and moved some items myself to save on the costs associated. This would have been good to know up front and avoided the damage some of my furniture sustained while traveling down the highway. Also, be aware they will tack on additional charges for mandatory storage insurance rather than asking if you have your own. Again, the facility is nice, but make sure you come prepared with documents and be aware you need to ask for what is included in the rent rather than expect they'll be forthcoming.

We were assisting an elderly friend inventory and consolidate two units to one. Our friend misplaced the key to the smaller unit and the manager Shalynna Cooper could not have been more pleasant and helpful. She quickly cut off the old lock and we purchased a combination lock to replace the keyed lock. Shalynna is a expert with the angle cutter! In addition, observed OSHA standard type safety precautions. I was very impressed! This facility is very clean and moving dollies/carts are readily available. During our two visits a week apart Shalynna demonstrated a professionalism beyond her years and is also friendly, and courteous a great combination!

Such personal attention to our needs. I have used this storage facility for over 6 years. Always clean and safe. Office directed me to Cubsmart web site, to take advantage of huge discounts. I have rented storage units over the past 12 years and this was by far the best place I've ever stored. Staff was exceptional (especially Diana). Always well mannered , returned phone calls & emails immediately. They are definitely on the top of their game. They not only set the bar for customer service but surpass it!!! The cleanest and most secure storage units I have ever encountered. I can't say enough about the excellent experiences I have had interacting with this company! If you are in San Antonio, rent from this place! Conveniently located near 281/1604 intersection.

Went into the store, but didn't have space to accommodate my needs . I was very satisfied with the customer service, and they offered to take my information to notify me when space became available. Despite they didn't have the space I needed . I highly recommend this facility to anyone .

Storage units can be expensive in larger cities. CubeSmart seemed to be one of the cheapest in the San Antonio area. The facility is large, clean, and very secure. You can also pay your bill online, which is very convenient. The office manager I dealt with on the property was very nice and had plenty of information. I would definitely recommend this storage company.
